Die Statue von Santa Rita de Cassia, auf dem Berg Carmel in Santa Cruz, ist 42 Meter hoch, sie ist ein Wallfahrtsort für Verehrer der Heiligen Santa Rita.

Galinhos – sol, sal, dunas, muito vento e um pôr do sol espetacular!
Erich e eu, consideramos Galinhos como uma das mais belas localidades do Rio Grande do Norte. O município está localizado em uma península e você consegue chegar por terra de buggy ou outro tipo de carro com tração 4 x 4, quando a maré está baixa. A maioria das pessoas chega de barco.

A localidade está distante de Natal cerca de 170 km. O acesso é feito pela BR-406. Após passar a cidade de Jandaíra, depois 17 km, você entra à direita e percorre mais 5 km até chegar a Pratagil, onde você vai deixar seu carro. No percurso para o estacionamento, percorremos uma estrada estreita, ladeada por viveiros de camarões e por tanques de salinas, que contém tanto sal, que “flocos” voam e parecem até com neve, muito interessante!

Quando chegar no estacionamento, fique atento(a): há pessoas que lhe abordam e se dizem seguranças informais do lugar e pedem uma “colaboração”, eles reforçam que seu carro vai ter 24 horas de vigilância. Você não é obrigado(a) a pagar nada, pois o estacionamento é vigiado por funcionários, pagos, pela Prefeitura de Galinhos.

Outra dica: há barcos da prefeitura que fazem o translado de Pratagil a Galinhos e Galos. É gratuito. Existem barcos onde você paga R$ 3,00 por pessoa e há os barcos privados, que podem lhe cobrar em torno de R$ 20,00 pelo serviço, fique atento(a). O percurso entre Pratagil e Galinhos é de cerca de 10 minutos. Quando você entra no barco já começa a se deliciar com a paisagem composta pelo rio, pelo mangue e pela tranquilidade do lugar. É o momento de você relaxar e deixar suas preocupações para trás.

Chegamos no ancoradouro de Galinhos e já avistamos a nossa pousada, por isso, não foi preciso tomar uma carroça, há muitas esperando os visitantes. É um meio de transporte bem “exótico” para quem chega ao lugar. Quando visitamos Galinhos pela primeira vez, muitos anos atrás, a cidade ainda não tinha calçamento, as ruas eram de areia. Atualmente, parte da cidade é calçada.

Galinhos é caracterizado por possuir grande beleza natural, pois de um lado da península está o rio Aratuá, e do outro o Oceano Atlântico. Há rio, mar, mangue, dunas, salinas, céu azul, tudo isso compõe uma pintura especial que é o cenário de Galinhos.
Os principais passeios disponíveis para o visitante são o de barco, o de canoa pelo manguezal, o de buggy, o de carroça para ver o pôr do sol no Farol.

E por falar em pôr do sol, o de Galinhos é espetacular, o céu se veste de diversas cores e nuances, parece até um quadro impressionista, que coisa linda! Galinhos também é um paraíso para a prática de kitesurf…a presença dos ventos é constante.

De acordo com Erich “por um lado ficamos impressionados com o tamanho dos aero geradores, pelos seus benefícios por produzir uma energia limpa e também ficamos amedrontados, pois eles parecem uma ameaça da modernidade que surge em um paraíso natural, elas são como Golias”, da história bíblica.

Galinhos é definitivamente um destino para quem busca tranquilidade, paz. Não é um destino para baladas. Quando saímos à noite, vimos pessoas conversando nas calçadas, crianças brincando nas ruas e isso nos fez sentir uma profunda sensação de felicidade, de saber que ainda existem lugares assim. Que Galinhos continue assim: simples e belo!

Erich und ich betrachten Galinhos als einen der schönsten Orte von Rio Grande do Norte. Die Gemeinde liegt auf einer Halbinsel und Sie können sie mit Buggy oder anderen Autos mit 4×4 Allradgetriebe erreichen, wenn Ebbe ist. Die meisten Leute kommen per Schiff an.

Es sind etwa 170 km von Natal aus. Die Anreise erfolgt über die BR-406. 17 km nach der Stadt Jandaíra biegen sie nach rechts ab und nach weiteren 5 km erreichen sie Pratagil, wo Sie Ihr Auto parken. Auf dem Weg zum Parkplatz fuhren wir eine schmale Straße entlang, flankiert von Garnelenteichen und Salztanks, die so viel Salz enthalten, so daβ durch den Wind “Flocken” von Salz wie Schnee umherfliegen, sehr interessant!

Wenn Sie schlieβlich auf dem Parkplatz sind, werden Personen auf Sie zukommen und gegen ein Entgelt die Bewachung ihres Fahrzeuges anbieten, ZAHLEN sie nichts, da der Parkplatz durch bezahlte Mitarbeiter der Präfektur bewacht wird.

Ein weiterer Tipp: Es gibt Boote der Gemeinde, die die Überfahrt von Pratagil nach Galinhos und Galos machen. Dies ist kostenlos! Es gibt aber auch Boote, wo Sie 3 R$ pro Person bezahlen und aber auch private Boote, die 20 R$ für ihren Service berechnen wollen, also aufgepasst! Die Überfahrt von Pratagil nach Galinhos dauert etwa 10 Minuten. Die Landschaft des Flusses begeistert sofort, die Mangroven und die Stille. Es ist Zeit, sich zu entspannen und den Alltag hinter sich lassen.

Schon vom Boot aus sahen wir unsere Unterkunft, wir mussten also keine „carroça“ nehmen, dieses wahrlich exotische Transportmittel. Als wir vor vielen Jahren zum ersten Mal in Galinhos waren, waren alle Straβen einfach nur Sand, heute sind Teile gepflastert und verfügen über Gehwege.

Galinhos begeistert durch seine natürliche Schönheit, auf der einen Seite der Halbinsel durch den Fluss Aratuá und auf der anderen mit dem Atlantischen Ozean. Der Fluss, das Meer, die Mangroven, Dünen, Salinen und der blaue Himmel, all diese speziellen Farben kreieren das Szenario Galinhos.
Die wichtigsten Touren für Besucher sind: eine Bootsfahrt, mit dem Kanu in die Mangroven, mit dem Buggy in die Dünen und mit einem „carroça“ zum Sonnenuntergang am Leuchtturm.

Apropos Sonnenuntergang, dieser ist auf Galinhos spektakulär, er scheint den Himmel in verschiedene Farben und Nuancen zu kleiden, es ist wie ein impressionistisches Gemälde, einfach wunderschön!

Galinhos ist auch ein Paradies für Kite-Surfen…der erforderliche Wind hierfür ist konstant vorhanden.
Während der Bootsfahrt oder Buggy-Tour sehen Sie u.a.: verschiedene Strände, die André Düne, die Mangroven bei Galos, den Strand der Düne Capim, den Zusammenfluss der Flüsse Aratuá und Guamaré, den Leuchtturm von Galinhos und die Schlangeninsel.

Bei den Touren beachte man auch die Installationen des gewaltigen Windparkes in den Dünen. Einerseits waren wir von der Größe der Wind-Generatoren sehr beeindruckt, diese ihre Leistungen für die Produktion sauberer Energie, andererseits empfanden wir auch eine gewisse Angst wie „eine neue Bedrohung der Moderne“, die inmitten eines Naturparadieses entsteht, wir fühlten uns wie „David gegen Goliath”, diese biblische Geschichte.

Galinhos ist definitiv ein Ziel für diejenigen, die Ruhe und Frieden suchen. Es ist nicht ein Ziel für Nachtleben. Als wir abends umherspazierten sahen wir Menschen auf den Gehwegen sitzend sich unterhaltend, wir sahen Kinder in den Straßen spielend und wir empfanden eine Art Glücksgefühl, wohlwissend, daβ es immer noch Orte wie diesen gibt: Galinhos…einfach und schön!

On the way to the parking lot we went along a narrow road, flanked by shrimp pies and salt tanks, which contain so much salt, so that through the wind “flocks” of salt like snow flew around, very interesting!

When you are finally in the parking lot, people will come to you offering to guard your vehicle, DO NOT PAY anything as the parking lot is guarded by the staff of the local community.

Another tip: There are boats from the municipality, which make the crossing from Pratagil to Galinhos and Galos. This is free! But there are also boats where you pay 3 R $ per person and also private boats who want to charge 20 R $ for their service, so watch out!

The crossing from Pratagil to Galinhos takes about 10 minutes. The landscape of the river inspires immediately, the mangroves and the silence. It is time to relax and leave your everyday life behind.
Already from the boat we saw our accommodation, so we had to take no “carroça”, this truly exotic mean of transport. When we first arrived in Galinhos many years ago all streets were just sand, nowadays parts are paved and have sidewalks.

Galinhos inspires by its natural beauty, on one side of the peninsula by the river Aratuá and on the other by the Atlantic Ocean. The river, the sea, the mangroves, dunes, salt flats and the blue sky, all these special colors create the Galinhos scenario.
The main tours for visitors are: a boat trip, canoeing into the mangroves, with the buggy in the dunes and with a “carroça” to the sunset at the lighthouse.

On the one hand we were very impressed by the size of the wind generators, their achievements for the production of clean energy. On the other hand we also felt a certain fear like “a new threat of modernism” that emerges in the middle of a natural paradise, it is like “David against Goliath”, this biblical story.

Galinhos is definitely a destination for those seeking peace and quiet. It’s not a destination for nightlife. When we walked around at night we saw people sitting on the sidewalks talking, we saw children playing in the streets and we felt a kind of happiness knowing that there are still places like this one: Galinhos…simple and beautiful!

O Rio Grande do Norte é um destino turístico que atrai muitos visitantes devido seu litoral ser recheado de praias deslumbrantes, com suas águas límpidas e águas mornas. Dentre os lugares fascinantes do litoral potiguar, destaco Galinhos.
Galinhos está localizado a 166 km de Natal e o município tem em torno de 2600 habitantes. Você chega nesse paraíso através da BR-406, a 16 km da cidade de Jandaíra, entre a direita na RN 402 e siga até Pratagi, de lá, você vai deixar seu carro no estacionamento e continuar de barco até Galinhos, são aproximadamente 20 minutos de muita beleza. Você também pode chegar lá com veículos 4 x 4, passando pela praia de Caiçara de Norte. A comunidade de Galinhos está localizada em um istmo.
A chegada em Galinhos para mim sempre é muito interessante, gosto de fazer o translado de barco, apreciar a comunidade de longe. Quando a gente chega, sempre é uma festa, com os “taxis de Galinhos”, ou seja, charretes puxadas por burros, oferecendo o transporte até a pousada onde vamos nos hospedar. Acho rústico que algumas ruas sejam de areia, parece até que o tempo parou.
Por que vale a pena visitar Galinhos? Porque tem belas praias, é um lugar tranquilo onde você pode oferecer a sua mente e ao seu corpo aquele descanso merecido depois de uma semana agitada de trabalho e estudos.
As praias de Galinhos, do Farol e de Galos são locais de grande beleza, onde você vai desfrutar de belas caminhadas ou simplesmente sentar e apreciar o mar, se sentir em paz. Em alguns momentos desse passeio, eu simplesmente sentei e fiquei apreciando a paisagem e o silêncio! Estive em Galinhos no mês de agosto e tive a oportunidade de ver a procissão marítima em homenagem à padroeira do lugar, Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes.
E por falar em mar, um programa interessante para fazer em Galinhos é o passeio de barco pelo rio Capim, onde é possível desfrutar visuais deslumbrantes, com dunas, belas praias, manguezais, salinas naturais, vale muito a pena. Você acerta com um barqueiro o tempo e o valor do passeio.
Outra dica interessante: fazer o passeio de charrete pela praia, fomos até a praia do Farol, gostei muito!
Como o vento é abundante por lá, Galinhos é um local propício para a prática de esportes de vela, como o kite e o windsurfe!

Galinhos, ein Paradies im Norden von Rio Grande do Norte
Rio Grande do Norte ist ein beliebtes Touristenziel, das wegen seiner Küste viele Besucher anzieht, es ist voll von schönen Stränden mit seinem klaren und warmem Wasser. Galinhos gehört zweifelsfrei zu den faszinierenden Orten dieser Küste.
Galinhos ist 166 km von Natal entfernt und die Gemeinde hat um die 2.600 Einwohner. Sie erreichen dieses Paradies auf der BR-406, 16 km vor der Stadt Jandaíra biegen Sie rechts ab auf die RN 402 und folgen dieser bis nach Pratagi, dort dann können Sie Ihr Auto auf dem Parkplatz belassen und fahren weiter mit einem Boot nach Galinhos, das sind ca. 20 Minuten Fahrzeit voller Schönheit. Sie können auch mit einem 4 x 4-Fahrzeug vorbei am Strand von Nord Caiçara nach Galinhos gelangen, welches auf einer Halbinsel gelegen ist.
Ich genieße immer die Überfahrt auf dem Boot und die Sicht auf die kleine Gemeinde von weitem. Immer wenn wir ankommen ereignet sich eine kleine Party mit den “Taxis von Galinhos”, d.h. mit den von Eseln gezogenen Karren, die uns zu unserer Unterkunft bringen auf rustikalen Sandstraßen, es scheint so, als ob die Zeit stehen geblieben ist!
Warum nach Galinhos? Weil es über schöne Strände verfügt, es ist ein beschaulicher Ort, wo Sie Ihren Geist und Körper baumeln lassen können, wo Sie auch die Ruhe finden, die Sie nach einer anstrengenden Arbeitswoche oder Studien verdient haben.
Die Strände von Galinhos, am Leuchtturm und in Galos sind Orte von großer Schönheit, wo Sie schöne Spaziergänge genießen können oder einfach nur dasitzen und auf das Meer schauen, Sie werden Frieden verspüren, die Landschaft und die Ruhe in sich aufsaugen! Ich war im August in Galinhos und wir hatten die Gelegenheit, die maritime Prozession zu Ehren der Schutzheiligen des Ortes zu sehen, „Unsere Senhora der Seefahrer“.
Ein interessantes Programm in Galinhos ist es auch, eine Bootsfahrt auf dem Fluss Capim zu unternehmen, sie werden atemberaubende Ausblicke erleben können auf Sanddünen, Strände, Mangroven, Natursalz, sehr lohnenswert. Sie handeln einfach mit einem Bootführer die Zeit und den Preis der Tour aus.
Ein weiterer lohnenswerter Tipp: eine Fahrt mit einer Eselsdroschke am Strand entlang zum Strand am Leuchtturm, toll!
Da reichlich Wind vorhanden ist, ist Galinhos ein sehr geeigneter Ort für Segelsport, Kite- und Windsurfen!

Galinhos, a paradise in the north of Rio Grande
Rio Grande do Norte is a popular tourist destination that attracts many visitors because of its coastline, it is full of beautiful beaches with its clear and warm waters. Galinhos is without a doubt one of the fascinating places of this coast.
Galinhos is located 166 km from Natal and the town has the population of 2600. You can reach this paradise on the BR-406, 16 km before the city Jandaíra turn right onto the RN 402 and follow it until Pratagi, there you can park your car and you will continue by boat to Galinhos, 20 minutes of beauty. You can also use a 4 x 4 vehicle, passing the beach of North Caiçara, to arrive to Galinhos, which is situated on a peninsula.
I always enjoy the crossing on the boat and the view onto the small village from far. Whenever we arrive occurrs a little party with the “Taxis of Galinhos”, the drawn donkeys carts that bring us to our accommodation on rustic sandy roads, it seems as if the time has been stopped!
Why to Galinhos? Because it has beautiful beaches, it is a tranquil place where you can relax your mind and body, where you will find the tranquility that you deserve after a stressful week at work or studies.
The beaches of Galinhos at the lighthouse and in Galos are places of great beauty, where you can enjoy beautiful walks or just sit and look at the sea, you will feel peace and you may soak up the tranquility into yourself!
I was in a August in Galinhos and we had the opportunity to see the maritime procession in honor of the patron saint of the place, “Our Lady of the Navigators”.
Another interesting program in Galinhos is also to take a boat trip on the river Capim, there you will experience breathtaking views of sand dunes, beaches, mangroves, natural salt, very worthwhile. Just agree with a boatman the time and the price of this your tour.
Another worthwhile tip: a ride on a Donkey cab along the beach to the beach at the lighthouse, great!
As plenty of wind is present, Galinhos is a very suitable place for sailing, kite and wind surfing!
