A Austrália é um dos maiores países do mundo com uma área de 7.703.429 km2, localizado na Oceania, cuja capita é Canberra. Esse país imenso possui uma população estimada em 26 milhões de habitantes e uma densidade demográfica muito baixa, a maioria da população reside em áreas urbanas. As principais cidades da Austrália são: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide e Canberra. Esse é um país de contrastes com cidades vibrantes, florestas exuberantes, praias, ilhas de rara beleza e desertos avermelhados, além de uma rica história e cultura.

Os primeiros habitantes desse território, ou seja, os aborígenes, foram quase dizimados pelos colonizadores. Atualmente eles reivindicam um maior espaço na sociedade australiana.

A Austrália é uma país rico em atrações turísticas. Erich (na sua terceira visita a esse país) e eu tivemos a oportunidade de visitá-lo durante nossa viagem ao redor do planeta. Observamos que esse país possui belezas diversificadas e por isso apresentamos abaixo 10 Razões, na nossa opinião, que vale a pena visitar a Austrália:

Australien ist mit einer Fläche von 7.703.429 km2 eines der größten Länder der Welt und liegt in Ozeanien, dessen Hauptstadt Canberra ist.

Dieses riesige Land hat eine geschätzte Bevölkerung von 26 Millionen Einwohnern und eine sehr geringe Bevölkerungsdichte, die Mehrheit der Bevölkerung lebt in städtischen Gebieten. Die wichtigsten Städte Australiens sind: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide und Canberra. Es ist ein Land der Kontraste mit pulsierenden Städten, üppigen Wäldern, Stränden, Inseln von seltener Schönheit und roten Wüsten sowie einer reichen Geschichte und Kultur.

Die ersten Bewohner dieses Territoriums, also die Ureinwohner, wurden von den Kolonisatoren fast gänzlich dezimiert. Sie fordern derzeit mehr Platz in der australischen Gesellschaft.

Australien ist ein Land reich an touristischen Attraktionen. Erich (sein dritter Besuch) und ich hatten die Gelegenheit, diesen Kontinent während unserer Weltreise zu besuchen. Wir stellen fest, dass dieses Land vielfältige Schönheiten offeriert und präsentieren daher im Folgenden 13 Gründe, warum es sich unserer Meinung nach sehr lohnt, Australien zu besuchen:

With an area of 7,703,429 km2 Australia is one of the largest countries in the world and is located in Oceania, the capital of which is Canberra.

This vast country has an estimated population of 26 million people and a very low population density, with the majority of the population living in urban areas.

The main cities in Australia are: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Canberra. It is a land of contrasts with vibrant cities, lush forests, beaches, islands of rare beauty and red deserts, as well as a rich history and culture.

The first inhabitants of this territory, the indigenous people, were almost completely decimated by the colonizers. They are currently demanding more space in the Australian society.

Australia is a country rich in tourist attractions. Erich (his third visit) and I had the opportunity to visit this continent during our world tour. We have found that this country offers a variety of beauties and therefore present 13 reasons why, in our opinion, it is very worthwhile to visit Australia:

A Nova Zelândia é uma ilha montanhosa e fértil, país de belezas fantásticas cuja capital é Wellington e as principais cidades são Auckland, Christchurch e Hamilton. Além disso, ela também possui os territórios das Ilhas Cook, Nive e Toquelau. O país está localizado na Oceania, no sudoeste do Oceano Pacífico, com linha costeira cortada por fiordes, tem 268.021 km2 e é formado por duas grandes ilhas (Ilha do Norte e do Sul) e elas estão separadas pelo Estreito de Cook.

A Ilha do Sul é caracterizada pela existência dos Alpes do Sul. A população da Nova Zelândia é de aproximadamente 4,4 milhões de habitantes e a maioria vive na Ilha do Norte.

Erich e eu visitamos a Nova Zelândia quando realizamos nossa viagem ao redor do mundo (veja aqui mais informações sobre esse tour). Tivemos o prazer de conhecer muitas das belezas espetaculares desse país que são constituídas de montanhas, praias, rios, lagos, gêiseres, dentre outros aspectos naturais que já atraiu milhares de visitantes e também foi cenária de famosas produções cinematográficas como a trilogia do “Senhor dos Anéis” e o “Hobbit”.

O objetivo desse post é apresentar de uma visão geral da Nova Zelândia com suas belas paisagens e seu povo acolhedor. Um aspecto que nos chamou a atenção é a valorização do povo Maiori, um dos primeiros habitantes dessa terra. Esse país tem duas línguas oficiais: o inglês e o maiori. A Nova Zelândia é fortemente influenciada pela cultura rica e vibrante de seu povo indígena Maori.

Dentre as atrações turísticas que mais despertaram nossa atenção foram: o passeio de trem de Dunedin, Milford Sound, a visita ao Hobbiton Movie Set próxima a cidade de Rotorua, as apresentações culturais sobre o povo Maori. O país como um todo é definitivamente lindo, com muitas paisagens verdejantes, tranqüilas com seus imensos rebanhos de ovelhas. Quando estávamos por lá, alguém disse em existe mais ovelhas do que habitantes na Nova Zelândia. Considerando-se a quantidade de habitantes do  pais, há cerca de 33 milhões de ovelhas. Isso significa que há cerca de sete companheiros peludos para cada habitante.

Algumas outras atrações turísticas muito interessantes: vôos de helicóptero para observar baleias, para avistar de cima as exuberantes paisagens naturais em diversos pontos do país, viagem de trem no Transalpino saindo de Cristhchurch, visita as vinícolas, passeio à Caverna de Waitomo, dentre outros. Para quem gosta de trekking, há muitas possibilidades por percursos deslumbrantes!

Apesar de ser um país localizado distante das principais rotas turísticas, se você quer conhecer um lugar especial, vale a pena as muitas horas de vôos para se visitar a Nova Zelândia!

Neuseeland ist eine bergige und fruchtbare Insel, ein Land von fantastischer Schönheit, dessen Hauptstadt Wellington und die wichtigsten Städte Auckland, Christchurch und Hamilton sind. Darüber hinaus besitzt es auch die Territorien der Cookinseln, Nive und Tokelau.

Das Land liegt in Ozeanien im Südwesten des Pazifischen Ozeans mit einer von Fjorden durchzogenen Küste, es hat 268.021  km2 und wird von zwei großen Inseln (Nord- und Südinsel) geformt und durch die Cookstraße getrennt.

Die Südinsel ist durch die Existenz der Südalpen geprägt. Neuseeland hat etwa 4,4 Millionen Einwohner, die meisten leben auf der Nordinsel.

Erich und ich haben Neuseeland besucht als wir unsere Weltreise gemacht haben (weitere Informationen zu dieser Tour finden Sie hier).

Wir hatten das gro Vergnügen, viele der spektakulären Schönheiten dieses Landes kennenzulernen, die neben vielen anderen Naturaspekten mit Bergen, Stränden, Flüssen, Seen, Geysiren überraschen, die bereits Tausende von Besuchern angezogen haben und auch Schauplatz von berühmten  Filmproduktionen wie „Herr der Ringe“ und „Hobbit“ waren.

Die Idee dieses Beitrages ist es, einen Überblick über Neuseeland mit seinen wunderschönen Landschaften und seinen gastfreundlichen Menschen zu vermitteln.

Ein Aspekt, der unsere Aufmerksamkeit auf sich zog, ist die Wertschätzung des Volkes der Maori, eines der ersten dieses Landes. Das Land hat zwei Amtssprachen: Englisch und Maori. Neuseeland ist stark von der reichen und lebendigen Kultur seiner indigenen Maori geprägt.

Zu den Touristenattraktionen, die uns am meisten gefielen, gehörten: die Zugfahrt von Dunedin, Milford Sound, der Besuch des Hobbiton-Filmsets in der Nähe der Stadt Rotorua, die kulturellen Präsentationen über das Volk der Maori. Das Land als Ganzes ist definitiv wunderschön, mit vielen grünen Landschaften, friedlich mit seinen riesigen Schafherden.

Als wir dort waren, betonte jemand, dass es in Neuseeland mehr Schafe als Menschen gibt. Bezogen auf die Einwohnerzahl des Landes gibt es etwa 33 Millionen Schafe. Auf jeden Einwohner kommen also etwa sieben „wollige“ Gefährten.

Weitere sehr interessante Touristenattraktionen: Helikopterflüge zur Walbeobachtung usw. in verschiedenen Teilen des Landes, Zugreisen mit dem Transalpino von Cristhchurch, Besuch der Weingüter, Besichtigung der Waitomo-Höhle u.a. Für Trekking-Liebhaber gibt es viele Möglichkeiten für atemberaubende Touren!

Obwohl es sich um ein Land handelt, das sehr, sehr weit von den üblichen Haupttouristenrouten entfernt liegt, lohnt es sich, Neuseeland zu besuchen, falls Sie einen ganz besonderen Ort kennenlernen möchten!

New Zealand – land of spectacular landscapes

New Zealand is a mountainous and fertile island, a land of fantastic beauty with Wellington as its capital and Auckland, Christchurch and Hamilton as its main cities. In addition, it also owns the Cook Islands, Nive, and the Tokelau territories.

The country is located in Oceania in the southwest of the Pacific Ocean with a coast crisscrossed by fjords, it has 268.021  km2 and is formed by two large islands (North and South Island) and separated by the Cook Strait.

The South Island is shaped by the existence of the Southern Alps. New Zealand has a population of around 4.4 million, most of which live in the North Island.

Erich and I visited New Zealand when we were on our world tour (more information about this tour can be found here).

We had the great pleasure to get to know many of the spectacular beauties of this country, which, among many other natural aspects, surprise with mountains, beaches, rivers, lakes, geysers, which have already attracted thousands of visitors and also the setting of famous film productions such as “Lord of the Rings” and “Hobbit“.

The idea of this post is to give an overview of New Zealand with its beautiful landscapes and its hospitable people.

One aspect that caught our attention is the appreciation of the Maori people, one of the first in this country. The country has two official languages: English and Maori. New Zealand is strongly influenced by the rich and vibrant culture of its indigenous Maori.

Among the tourist attractions that we liked the most were: the train ride in Dunedin, Milford Sound, the visit to the Hobbiton movie set near the city of Rotorua, the cultural presentations about the Maori people. The country as a whole is definitely beautiful with lots of green landscapes, peaceful with its huge flocks of sheep.

When we were there someone pointed out that New Zealand has more sheep than people. Based on the population of the country there are around 33 million sheep. So there are about seven “woolly” companions for every inhabitant.

Other very interesting tourist attractions: helicopter flights for whale watching etc. in different parts of the country, train travel with the Transalpino from Cristhchurch, visiting the wineries, visiting the Waitomo cave etc. For trekking lovers there are many opportunities for breathtaking tours!

Although this is a country that is very, very far from the usual main tourist routes, it is worth visiting New Zealand if you want to get to know a very special place!

Akaroa e Arredores/Akaroa und Umgebung/Akaroa and the surrounding area

Akaroa é uma pequena cidade charmosa com um toque francês localizada na costa leste da Nova Zelândia, na Ilha Sul, à sudeste de Christchurch, na região de Canterbury. Outro ponto de referência de Akaroa é que ela está localizada na Península de Banks.

Essa pequena localidade possui uma população aproximada de 600 habitantes.

Ela é formada por dois cones vulcânicos, tem duas crateras que constituem os portos de Lyttelton e Akaroa. O lugar encanta pelas paisagens espetaculares e é portão de entrada para se visitar muitas outras belezas nos seus arredores.

Akaroa foi a única área da Nova Zelândia ocupada pelos franceses no passado colonial.

Foi a partir de Akaroa que partimos rumo ao Monte Sunday, localizada na região montanhosa de Ashburton District, onde foram filmadas algumas das cenas do filme “Senhor dos Anéis”. A área do Monte Sunday foi transformada em Edoras (esse cenário levou nove meses para ser construído, mas, nada resta dele), capital do povo Rohan na trilogia desse filme.

O lugar possui a beleza das montanhas, com lagos de água cristalinas. Vistamos o Monte Sunday em um dia cinzento,

mas, podemos sentir a “magia” do local de grande beleza.

Além dessa região, atravessamos as fazendas de gado e ovelhas do Plains Canterbury,

os Alpes do Sul, o rio Rakaia, o Lago Clearwater e as baías de Akaroa.

Akaroa é realmente um lugar charmoso com suas baias, restaurantes, lojinhas, é uma região coberta de verde que impressiona também pela beleza de seu relevo.

Além disso, Akaroa é rica em história marítima com bangalôs em estilo vitoriano, além da riqueza da cultura maori.

A partir de Akaroa é possível se realizar tours para apreciar a natureza, ver golfinhos, passear de caiaques, visitar a cidade de Christchurch (distante cerca de 82 km) e conhecer o Centro Internacional da Antártica, localizado também em Christchurch.

Akaroa é um destino para quem ama a natureza, pois definitivamente você vai se encantar com a beleza natural da cidadezinha e de seus arredores.

Akaroa ist eine charmante kleine Stadt mit französischem Touch an der Ostküste Neuseelands auf der Südinsel südöstlich von Christchurch in der Region Canterbury. Ein weiterer Bezugspunkt für Akaroa ist, dass sie sich auf der Halbinsel Banks befindet.

Diese kleine Stadt hat eine Bevölkerung von ca. 600 Einwohnern.

Sie besteht aus zwei Vulkankegeln und hat zwei Krater, welche die Häfen von Lyttelton und Akaroa bilden.

Der Ort ist bezaubernd für seine spektakulären Landschaften und ist das Tor, um viele andere Schönheiten in seiner Umgebung zu besuchen.

Akaroa war das einzige Gebiet Neuseelands, das in der kolonialen Vergangenheit von den Franzosen besetzt war.

Von Akaroa aus machten wir uns auf den Weg zum Mount Sunday in der Bergregion des Ashburton District, wo einige der Szenen aus dem Film „Herr der Ringe“ gedreht wurden.

Das Gelände am Mount Sunday wurde in Edoras umgewandelt (der Bau dieses Szenarios dauerte neun Monate, aber nichts blieb davon übrig), die Hauptstadt der Rohan in der Trilogie dieses Films.

Der Ort offeriert die Schönheit der Berge mit kristallklaren Seen. Wir besuchten Mount Sunday an einem grauen Tag,

aber wir konnten die „Magie“ des Ortes von so großer Schönheit verspüren.

Zusätzlich überquerten wir die Rinder- und Schaffarmen der Ebenen von Plains Canterbury,

wir sahen die Südalpen, den Rakaia River, den Lake Clearwater und die Akaroa Bays.

Akaroa ist wirklich ein charmanter Ort mit seinen Buchten, Restaurants und Geschäften. Es ist eine grün bewachsene Regio, die auch für die Schönheit ihres Reliefs beeindruckend ist.

Darüber hinaus ist Akaroa reich an maritimer Geschichte mit Bungalows im viktorianischen Stil und dem Reichtum der Maori-Kultur.

Von Akaroa aus können Sie Touren unternehmen, um die Natur zu genießen, Delfine zu sehen, Kajak zu fahren, die Stadt Christchurch (82 km entfernt) zu besuchen und das Antarctic International Centre zu besuchen, das sich ebenfalls in Christchurch befindet.

Akaroa and the surrounding area

Akaroa is a charming little town with a French twist on the east coast of New Zealand on the South Island, southeast of Christchurch in the Canterbury region. Another point of reference for Akaroa is that it is located on the Peninsula Banks.

This small town has a population of around 600 people.

It consists of two volcanic cones and has two craters that form the ports of Lyttelton and Akaroa.

The place is enchanting for its spectacular landscapes and is the gateway to visit many other beauties in its area.

Akaroa was the only area of New Zealand that was occupied by the French in the colonial past.

From Akaroa we made our way to Mount Sunday in the mountainous region of the Ashburton District, where some of the scenes of the film “Lord of the Rings” were shot.

The Mount Sunday site was converted into Edoras (this scenario took nine months to build, but nothing was left of it), the capital of the Rohan in the trilogy of this film.

The place offers the beauty of the mountains with crystal clear lakes. We visited Mount Sunday on a gray day,

but we could feel the “magic” of the place of such great beauty.

In addition, we crossed the cattle and sheep farms of the  Canterbury Plains,

we saw the Southern Alps, the Rakaia River, Lake Clearwater and the Akaroa Bays.

Akaroa is really a charming place with its bays, restaurants and shops. It is a green overgrown region, which is also impressive for the beauty of its relief.

Additionally, Akaroa is rich in maritime history with Victorian-style bungalows and the wealth of Maori culture.

From Akaroa you can take tours to enjoy the great outdoors, see dolphins, kayak, visit Christchurch city (82 km away), and visit the Antarctic International Center, also located in Christchurch.

Akaroa is a destination for those who love nature as you will definitely be enchanted by the natural beauty of the city and its surroundings.

Passamos o Natal de 2018 em alto mar em algum lugar entre a Nova Zelândia e a Austrália rumo à Tasmânia.

E foi sensacionalmente relaxante e lindo (veja post aqui ).

No dia 26 de dezembro chegamos a Hobart na Tasmânia,

que já faz parte da Austrália e como sempre tínhamos reservado um dia de viagem com antecedência para aquele dia.

Primeiramente, visitamos o Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, uma reserva natural que abriga alguns dos povos indígenas mais famosos da Austrália, como coalas, demônios da Tasmânia e wombats, bem como cangurus.

A apenas 30 minutos de Hobart, esta reserva natural é administrada por uma equipe dedicada que está empenhada em ajudar os animais saudáveis ​​a retornar à natureza.

A viagem continuou até Richmond, uma vila georgiana lindamente preservada, situada em terras agrícolas e vinícolas.

Depois de mais um dia super agradável de verão em alto mar, o Princess Cruise chegou a Melbourne, a 262,8 SM (milhas náuticas), em 28 de dezembro de 2018, o que corresponde a 497,2 KM.

Melbourne, com 4,25 milhões de habitantes, é uma cidade extensa com muita cultura, arte, moda e australianos amigáveis ​​e esportivos. É uma cidade fácil de explorar. O coração da cidade é formado pela Golden Mile.

Nossa excursão aqui em Victoria

nos levou ao mirante do Observatório do Monte Dandenong a 2.000 pés acima do nível do mar, com vistas deslumbrantes e belas paisagens.

Passamos pelas florestas de altas montanhas, da cordilheira Blue Dandenong,

onde visitamos uma das aldeias de montanha mais charmosas de Victoria, Sassafras. Nós dirigimos pela floresta de Sherbrooke

para ver algumas das espécies de madeira e pássaros mais altas do mundo, como roséis, kookaburras,

Nós também sentimos a atmosfera relaxante de Melbourne no porto da cidade antes e durante nossa jornada em direção a Sydney.

Chegamos lá no dia 30 de dezembro de 2018, finalizando nossa fantástica jornada após 13 dias e 2.230 milhas náuticas,

isso corresponde a 4.220 quilômetros e maravilhosas paradas e excursões na Nova Zelândia e Austrália.

Agora estávamos ansiosos para o próximo destaque de nossa turnê mundial, a véspera de Ano Novo em Sydney,

uma das cidades mais bonitas do mundo

um sonho de infância se torna realidade.

Ozeanien: Von New Zealand nach Australien 2018/19 (PART 2)

Weihnachten 2018 verbrachten wir also auf hoher See irgendwo zwischen Neuseeland und Australien mit Kurs auf Tasmanien.

Und es war sensationell entspannend und wunderschön, siehe.

Am 26. Dezember erreichten wir dann Hobart auf Tasmanien,

das schon zu Australien gehört und auch für den Tag hier hatten wir wie immer einen Tagesausflug im Voraus gebucht.

Zunächst besuchten wir das Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, ein Naturschutzgebiet, in dem einige der berühmtesten Ureinwohner Australiens wie Koalas, tasmanische Teufel und Wombats sowie Kängurus und Wallabys leben.

Nur 30 Minuten außerhalb von Hobart wird dieses Naturschutzgebiet von engagierten Mitarbeitern betrieben, die sich dafür einsetzen, dass gesunde Tiere wieder in die Wildnis zurückkehren können.

Die Fahrt führte weiter nach Richmond, ein wunderschön erhaltenes georgianisches Dorf, eingebettet in Acker- und Weinland.

Richmond ist ein echtes Dorf aus Schiefer und Kopfsteinpflaster, handgefertigten Ziegeln, Cottages und Herrenhäusern. Sie sehen das historische alte Gefängnis und viele der gut- erhaltenen Gebäuden wurden zu Geschäften, Galerien und Teestuben umgebaut. In Richmond befindet sich Australiens älteste Brücke, Kirche und Gefängnis.

Der Rosny Point Lookout eröffnet einen weiten Panoramablick auf den Fluss, die Tasman Bridge, Hobart, die Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens und den Mount Wellington in der Ferne. Siehe auch.

Nach einem weiteren superangenehmen Sommertag auf hoher See erreichte dann die Princess Cruise am 28. Dezember 2018 das 262,8 SM (Seemeilen) entfernte Melbourne, das entspricht 497,2 KM.

Melbourne mit 4,25 Millionen Einwohnern ist eine weitläufige Stadt mit viel Kultur, Kunst, Mode und freundlichen, sportiven Australiern. Es ist eine leicht zu erkundende Stadt. Das Herzen der Stadt formt die Goldene Meile.

Unsere Tour hier in Victoria

brachte uns zum Aussichtspunkt des Mount Dandenong Observatoriums auf 2.000 Fuß über dem Meeresspiegel mit weitem Blick und einer wunderschönen Landschaft.

Wälder aus hoher Eberesche führen durch die spektakulären Blue Dandenong Ranges,

wo wir eines der charmantesten Bergdörfer Victorias, Sassafras, besuchten.

Wir fuhren durch den Sherbrooke Forest,

um einige der höchsten Hartholzarten und Vogelarten der Welt wie Rosellen, Kookaburras,

Die entspannte Atmosphäre Melbournes verspürten wir auch im Hafen der Stadt vor und während unserer Weiterreise in Richtung Sydney.

Dort kamen wir am 30. Dezember 2018 an, das Ende unserer fantastischen Reise also nach 13 Tagen und 2.230 Seemeilen,

Oceania: From New Zealand to Australia 2018/19 (PART 2)

So we spent Christmas 2018 on the high sea somewhere between New Zealand and Australia heading for Tasmania.

And it was sensationally relaxing and beautiful. See post here.

On December 26th we reached Hobart in Tasmania,

which is already part of Australia and as always we had booked a day trip in advance for the day here.

First we visited the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, a nature reserve that is home to some of Australia’s most famous indigenous people such as koalas, Tasmanian devils and wombats, as well as kangaroos and wallabies.

Just 30 minutes outside of Hobart this nature reserve is run by dedicated staff who are committed to helping healthy animals return to the wild.

The journey continued to Richmond, a beautifully preserved Georgian village nestled in farmland and vineyards.

Richmond is a real village of slate and cobblestone, handcrafted brick, cottages and mansions. You will see the historic old prison and many of the well-preserved buildings have been converted into shops, galleries and tea rooms. Richmond is home to Australia’s oldest bridge, church and prison.

The Rosny Point Lookout offers expansive panoramic views of the river, Tasman Bridge, Hobart, the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, and Mount Wellington in the distance.See also this post.

After another super pleasant summer day on the high seas, the Princess Cruise reached Melbourne, 262.8 SM (nautical miles) on December 28, 2018, which corresponds to 497.2 KM.

Melbourne with 4.25 million inhabitants is a sprawling city with lots of culture, art, fashion and friendly sporty Australians. It’s an easy city to explore. The heart of the city is formed by the Golden Mile.

brought us to the Mount Dandenong Observatory overlook at 2,000 feet above sea level with sweeping views and beautiful scenery.

We also felt the relaxed atmosphere of Melbourne in the city harbor before and during our onward journey towards Sydney.

We arrived there on December 30th 2018, the end of our fantastic cruise journey after 13 days and 2,230 nautical miles,

that corresponds to 4,220 kilometers and wonderful stops and excursions in New Zealand and Australia.

Here we were looking forward to the next highlight of our world tour, New Year’s Eve in Sydney,

one of the most beautiful cities in the world

Ao planejar nossa turnê mundial de 66 dias entre 2018/19, surgiu a questão de onde e, acima de tudo, como iríamos passar o Natal e Reveillon.

Como entusiasta dos cruzeiros, naveguei pelos catálogos de vários fornecedores e finalmente encontrei uma oferta que imediatamente me inspirou e cujo itinerário gostaríamos de apresentar e aproximar você no blog a seguir.

Depois de uma viagem muito agradável com grandes estadias ao longo da rota sul do Chile – a Ilha de Páscoa

e Tahiti

chegamos a Auckland, na Nova Zelândia, em dezembro de 2018 e fazia calor no verão no hemisfério sul.

Nosso navio de cruzeiro, o Princess Cruises, zarpou no dia 18 de dezembro às 18h e na manhã seguinte chegamos a Tauranga, onde já havíamos reservado a seguinte excursão em terra com antecedência: Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland e almoço 

Durante uma hora e meia de carro nos dirigimos  para o porto do Monte Maunganui, passamos por muitas belas paisagens, incluindo o cintilante Lago Rotorua.

Como em todas as regiões geotérmicas, o cheiro de sulfeto de hidrogênio permeia a atmosfera.

Wai-O-Tapu em Maori significa “Águas Sagradas”, esta área exótica é considerada a região vulcânica natural mais colorida da Nova Zelândia. O vale térmico Wai-O-Tapu de 11 quilômetros quadrados foi formado há milhares de anos por atividade vulcânica e é mundialmente famoso por suas fontes de cores naturais, lama borbulhante, pisos fumegantes, vistas amplas, enormes crateras vulcânicas e muitos terraços sinterizados – formações que podem só podem ser alcançadas a pé.

Assim que chegamos  na área do Wai-O-Tapu, seguimos nosso guia por uma caminhada de um quilômetro e meio até o coração do parque para uma visão de perto deste “país das maravilhas termais”.

Lago Rotorua – A cor verde-amarelada única do lago, formada a partir da cratera de um grande vulcão adormecido, é devido ao alto teor de enxofre e outros minerais vulcânicos.

Passamos todo o dia seguinte, quinta-feira, 20 de dezembro, da forma mais agradável possível, navegando, em um ambiente fantástico, de verão e descontraído. Nossa parada de viagem no dia seguinte foi Akaora, sexta-feira, 21 de dezembro de 2018.

AKAROA é um destino turístico popular com um toque decididamente francês. Ruas com nomes franceses que levam a restaurantes de culinária francesa e arquitetura colonial. O legado de Akaroa como a única paróquia fundada na França na Nova Zelândia é inconfundível.

Existem muitos locais e excursões em oferta. Decidimos fazer um longo tour pelos locais onde foram filmadas cenas do Senhor dos Anéis.

O Senhor dos Anéis é uma série de três filmes épicos de aventura e fantasia dirigidos por Peter Jackson, baseados no romance de J. R. R. Tolkien. Os filmes são um projeto internacional entre a Nova Zelândia e os Estados Unidos.

O passeio nos levou por muitas paisagens impressionantes com muitas oportunidades para fotografia. (Veja também o post “Visita ao Condado Hobbiton”.

Então, no sábado, dia 22 de dezembro, já fizemos nossa próxima parada em Dunedin (Port Chalmers).

Apelidada de “Edimburgo da Nova Zelândia”, Dunedin é uma cidade kiwi com um coração escocês e orgulhosa de sua herança. Port Chalmers, a porta de entrada para Dunedin, fica a 12,8 km do centro da cidade.

Como excursão reservamos a ferrovia Taieri Gorge (um passeio de trem)

e curtir a fotogênica Dunedin Train Station

A ferrovia Taieri Gorge é uma viagem de trem pela remota paisagem montanhosa do desfiladeiro do rio Taieri. Viagem com conforto em vagões antigos ou modernos, todos equipados com aquecimento.

Enquanto estivemos no trem, aproveitamos as paradas para fotografas as vistas panorâmicas e, finalmente, direcionar as lentes para a famosa Estação Ferroviária de Dunedin, uma joia da coroa arquitetônica da Nova Zelândia.

Carinhosamente apelidado de “Gingerbread George”, é a maior “casa de pão gengibre” que você já viu (veja também o post “O espetacular passeio de trem em Dunedin”.

Em 23 de dezembro de 2018 nosso navio realizou um cruzeiro panorâmico no Parque Nacional Fiordland, uma experiência fenomenal. Esta foi a minha segunda vez neste local e mais uma vez fiquei profundamente impressionado com esta maravilhosa paisagem natural.

No coração do Parque Nacional Fiordland está Milford Sound, ladeado por penhascos rochosos que se elevam a quase uma milha de altura. Ele penetra profundamente no coração dos Alpes do Sul.

A floresta tropical se apega aos penhascos e cachoeiras graciosas mergulham no espaço. O Pico Mitre com quase dois quilômetros de altura domina a parte superior do fiorde.

A partir daqui nossa jornada nos levou à Austrália e isso significava que agora passaríamos os próximos 2 dias, ou seja, 24 e 25 de dezembro de 2018 em alto mar

e estávamos ambos muito animados para ver como seria o “Natal em alto mar”, ambos tão longe de nossa casa no Brasil, em algum lugar entre a Nova Zelândia e a Austrália. (Veja também o post que contamos como foi nossa experiência).

Ozeanien: Von Neuseeland nach Australien 2018/19 (PART 1)

Bei der Planung unserer 66tägigen Weltreise 2018/19 stellte sich in einem Moment die Frage, wo und v.a. wie wir das diesbezügliche Weihnachtsfest und den Jahreswechsel (Silvester und Neujahr) verbringen werden würden.

Als begeisterter Anhänger von Kreuzfahrten durchstöberte ich somit auch die hierzu vorliegenden Kataloge verschiedenster Anbieter und stieβ schlieβlich auf eine Offerte, die mich sofort begeisterte und deren Reiseverlauf wir Ihnen im Folgenden Blog   vorstellen und nahebringen möchten.

Nach einer sehr angenehmen Anreise mit tollen Aufenthalten entlang der Südroute Chile – die Osterinseln

– Tahiti

erreichten wir Auckland in Neuseeland im Dezember 2018 und es war sommerlich warm auf der Südhalbkugel.

Nach wunderschönen Tagen in Auckland

stach unser Kreuzfahrtschiff, die Princess Cruises, am 18. Dezember um 18 Uhr in See und schon am nächsten Morgen erreichten wir Tauranga, wo wir schon im Voraus den folgenden Landausflug gebucht hatten.

Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland & Lunch Cruise

Während der anderthalb Stunden Fahrt zum und vom Hafen des Mount Maunganui reisten wir durch viele herrliche Landschaften, einschließlich des glitzernden Rotorua-Sees.

Wie in allen geothermischen Regionen durchdringt der Geruch von Schwefelwasserstoff die Atmosphäre.

Wai-O-Tapu auf Maorisprache bedeutet “Sacred Waters” (Heilige Gewässer), dieses exotische Gebiet gilt als Neuseelands farbenfrohste natürliche vulkanische Region. Das 11 Quadratkilometer große Wai-O-Tapu-Thermotal wurde vor Tausenden von Jahren durch vulkanische Aktivitäten geformt und ist weltberühmt für seine natürlich gefärbten Quellen, den sprudelnden Schlamm, den dampfenden Böden, die weiten Ausblicke, die riesigen Vulkankrater und die vielen Sinter-terrassen-formationen die nur zu Fuß erreichbar sind.

 Sobald Sie angekommen sind, folgen Sie Ihrem Führer auf einem anderthalb Meilen langen Spaziergang ins Herz des Parks, um dieses “thermische Wunderland” ganz aus der Nähe zu betrachten.

See Rotorua – Die einzigartige dunkelgrün-gelbe Farbe des Sees, die aus dem Krater eines großen schlafenden Vulkans gebildet wird, ist auf den hohen Gehalt an Schwefel und anderen vulkanischen Mineralien zurückzuführen.

Den ganzen nächsten Tag, Donnerstag, den 20. Dezember, verbrachten wir wie immer auf angenehmste Weise auf hoher See in fantastischer, sommerlicher, entspannter Atmosphäre.

Unser nächster Stopp mit Tagesausflug war Akaora, Freitag, 21. Dezember 2018.

AKAROA ist ein beliebtes Touristenziel mit einem ausgesprochen französischen Flair. Straßen mit französischen Namen, die zu Restaurants führen mit französischer Küche und Kolonialarchitektur. Akaroas Erbe als einzige von Frankreich gegründete Gemeinde in Neuseeland ist unverkennbar.

Es gibt viele Sehenswürdigkeiten und Ausflüge im Angebot. Wir beschlossen, die lange Tour zu Lord of the Rings Drehorten zu machen.

Der Herr der Ringe ist eine Filmreihe von drei epischen Fantasy-Abenteuerfilmen unter der Regie von Peter Jackson, die auf dem Roman von J. R. R. Tolkien basieren. Die Filme sind ein internationales Projekt zwischen Neuseeland und den Vereinigten Staaten.

Die Tour führte uns durch viele beeindruckende Landschaften mit vielen Möglichkeiten zum Fotografieren.

Dann, am Samstag, den 22. Dezember, hatten wir bereits unseren nächsten Stopp in Dunedin (Port Chalmers).

Dunedin ist eine Kiwi-Stadt mit einem schottischen Herzen, das als “Edinburgh von Neuseeland” bezeichnet wird, und ist stolz auf sein Erbe. Port Chalmers, das Tor zu Dunedin, liegt 13 km vom Stadtzentrum entfernt.

Als Ausflug buchten wir hier die Taieri Gorge Railway (eine Zugfahrt)

und genossen die fotogene Dunedin Train Station (Bahnhof)

Die Taieri Gorge Railway ist eine Zugreise durch die abgelegene Berglandschaft der Taieri River Gorge (Schlucht). Sie reisen bequem in Oldtimern oder modernen Wagen, die alle vollständig mit Heizung ausgestattet sind.

Während Sie im Zug sind genießen Sie Fotostopps mit malerischen Ausblicken und können dann Ihr Objektiv auf den berühmten Bahnhof Dunedin richten, ein Juwel in Neuseelands architektonischer Krone.

Liebevoll mit dem Spitznamen “Gingerbread George” bezeichnet, ist es das großartigste “Lebkuchenhaus”, das Sie jemals gesehen haben werden (siehe auch post).

Am 23. Dezember 2018 realisierte unser Schiff dann eine landschaftlich reizvolle Kreuzfahrt im Fjordland-Nationalpark, ein phänomenales Erlebnis. Ich war jetzt zum zweiten Mal hier und war wieder tief beeindruckt von dieser so wunderschönen Naturlandschaft.

Im Herzen des Fiordland National Park liegt der Milford Sound,   von Felsklippen gesäumt, die fast eine Meile hoch in den Himmel ragen. Er schneidet tief in das Herz der Südalpen hinein.

Regenwald klammert sich an die Klippen und anmutige Wasserfälle stürzen ins Leere. Der meilenhohe Mitre Peak dominiert den oberen Bereich des Fjordes.

Von hier aus führte nun unsere Reise in Richtung Australien und das bedeutete, daβ wir nun die nächsten 2 Tage, also den 24. und 25. Dezember 2018 auf hoher See verbringen würden

und wir beide waren sehr darauf gespannt, wie sich „Weihnachten auf hoher See“ wohl anfühlen wird, wir beide so weit weg von unserem Zuhause in Brasilien irgendwo zwischen Neuseeland und Australien. Siehe auch post.

When planning our 66-day world tour2018/19 the question arose where and, above all, how we would spend the relevant Christmas and New Years Eve.

As an enthusiastic supporter of cruises I browsed through the catalogs from various providers and finally came across an offer that immediately inspired me and whose itinerary we would like to introduce and bring you closer to in the following blog.

After a very pleasant journey with great stays along the southern route Chile – the Easter Islands

– Tahiti

we reached Auckland in New Zealand in December 2018 and it was warm in the summer of the southern hemisphere.

After some wonderful days in Auckland

our cruise ship, the Princess Cruises, set sail on December 18th at 6 p.m. and the next morning we reached Tauranga, where we had already booked the following shore excursion in advance.

Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland & Lunch Cruise

During the hour-and-a-half journey to and from the port of Mount Maunganui we travelled through plenty of magnificent scenery including the sparkling Rotorua lakefront.

As with all geothermal regions the smell of hydrogen sulphide permeates the atmosphere.

Wai-O-Tapu

Maori for “Sacred Waters,” this exotic area is considered New Zealand’s most colorful natural volcanic environment. Sculpted by thousands of years of volcanic activity, the eleven-square-mile Wai-O-Tapu thermal valley is world famous for its naturally colored springs, bubbling mud, steaming ground, expansive vistas, huge volcanic craters and sinter terrace formations, many of which can only be accessed by foot.

Once you arrive, you’ll follow your guide on a mile-and-a-half trek into the heart of the park for close-up views of this “thermal wonderland.”

Lake Rotorua
Formed from the crater of a large dormant volcano, the lake’s unique dark green-yellow color is due to the high content of sulphur and other volcanic minerals.

As always we spent the whole of the next day, Thursday, December 20th, in the most pleasant way possible in a fantastic, summery, relaxed atmosphere.

Our next day trip stop was Akaora on Friday 21 December 2018

AKAROA is a popular tourist destination with a distinctly French flair.
With French-named streets leading to restaurants serving French cuisine and colonial architecture all around, Akaroa’s heritage as the only French-founded community in New Zealand is unmistakable.

There are plenty of Points of Interest and excursions. We decided to make a long tour to some Lord of the Rings film spots.

The Lord of the Rings is a film series of three epic fantasy adventure films directed by Peter Jackson, based on the novel written by J. R. R. Tolkien. The films are an international venture between New Zealand and the United States.

The tour brought us through many impressive landscapes with many possibilities for doing photos. (see also the post….).

Then, on Saturday 22 December, we had already our next stop in Dunedin (Port Chalmers).

Dunedin is a Kiwi city with a Scottish heart hailed as the “Edinburgh of New Zealand,” and is proud of its heritage.  Port Chalmers, gateway to Dunedin, is located eight miles from the city center.

As an excursion we booked here the Taieri Gorge Railway

and enjoyed the photogenic Dunedin Train Station.

Taieri Gorge Railway is all aboard on a thrilling journey through the remote mountain scenery of the Taieri River Gorge. Travel in the comfort of vintage or contemporary carriages, fully enclosed with heating.

While on the train, you’ll enjoy photo stops at scenic vistas, (weather, time and operational conditions permitting) and then will have a chance to point your lens toward the famed Dunedin Railway Station, a jewel in New Zealand’s architectural crown.

Lovingly nicknamed “Gingerbread George,” it is the grandest “gingerbread house” you’ll ever see.(see also the post).

On 23. December 2018 then our ship realized a scenic cruising in the Fjordland National Park, a phenomenal experience, I was here now the second time and again I was deeply impressed about this wonderful nature landscape.

At the heart of Fiordland National Park lies Milford Sound. Lined by cliffs that soar nearly a mile above its surface, Milford Sound cuts into the heart of the Southern Alps.

Rainforest clings to the cliffs and graceful waterfalls plummet into the void. Mile-high Mitre Peak dominates the upper reaches of the sound.

From here the cruise took the Direction to Australia and that meant, that we spent the next 2 days on sea, 24 and 25 December 2018

and we both looked very much forward how „CHRISTMAS ON SEA“ will feel like, us both so far away from our home in Brasil somewhere between New Zealand and Australia. See our post about this experience.

O Parque Nacional Uluru-Kata Tjuta é um lugar mágico e místico localizado no coração da Austrália, na área chamada como Centro Vermelho.

Uluru é um monolítico vermelho gigante reconhecido mundialmente como uma das maravilhas naturais do planeta e centro espiritual dos índios australianos

e Kata Tjuta, são as cúpulas rochosas localizadas a oeste de Uluru.

Esse parque é também conhecido também como Ayers Rock e habitado desde milhões de anos.

É um lugar sagrado para os aborígenes australianos e por isso foi proibida sua escalada a partir de setembro de 2019. É uma das atrações turísticas mais visitadas na Austrália.

Há muitas trilhas em torno da pedra e elas podem ser percorridas de diversas formas: à pé,

de automóvel, de segway,

de ônibus,

de motocicleta. Apesar de ser apenas uma única rocha, ela tem diferentes faces, caracterizadas por ondulações, cavernas, marcas que o tempo deixou na sua superfície.

Há também pinturas rupestres que comprovam a presença do ser humano desde milhares de anos.

Uluru é bela o tempo todo e sua beleza muda de acordo com a luz solar, os principais horários para visitar Uluru são para ver o nascer e o por do sol.

No resort há também um centro cultural com loja, café, oficina de artistas.

O parque é administrado pelo governo australiano e pelo povo Anangu, antigos habitantes da região.

Chegamos a Ayers Rock de avião, o aeroporto está localizado ao lado da cidadezinha de Yulara. Erich e eu nos hospedamos no Ayers Rock Resort

localizado nas proximidades do parque e é uma das melhores opções para se hospedar nessa área.

Quanto tempo ficar por lá? Nós permanecemos por três dias, sendo um para chegar, no dia seguinte realizar uma excursão pela manhã para visitar as Olgas (um belo grupo de formações rochosas) e outra à tarde para visitar Uluru.

Há outras formas de visitar Uluru, no caso de você dispor de mais tempo. Eu recomendo alugar um carro na cidade de Alice Springs, distante 460 km de Uluru, e visitar outros parques nos arredores.

Em Uluru há outras opções de passeios. A cultura aborígene é muito rica e por isso, se você se interessar, inclua também no seu roteiro, tours e atividades relacionadas com isso.

Der Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park ist ein magischer und mystischer Ort im Herzen Australiens in der Region, die als Red Centre (rotes Zentrum) bezeichnet wird.

Uluru ist ein riesiges rotes Monolithikum, das weltweit als eines der Naturwunder des Planeten und als spirituelles Zentrum der australischen Ureinwohner anerkannt ist.

Kata Tjuta sind die felsigen Kuppeln westlich von Uluru.

Dieser Park ist auch als Ayers Rock bekannt und wird seit Millionen von Jahren bewohnt.

Es ist ein heiliger Ort für die australischen Aborigines und daher ist das Besteigen auch seit September 2019 verboten. Uluru ist eine der meistbesuchten Touristenattraktionen in Australien.

Es gibt viele Wege rund um den Monolithen und diese können auf verschiedene Arten zurückgelegt werden: zu Fuß,

mit dem Auto, mit dem Segway,

mit dem Motorrad oder Bus.

Obwohl es nur ein einziger riesiger Stein ist, hat er verschiedene Gesichter, die durch Wellen, Höhlen und Spuren gekennzeichnet sind, die die Zeit auf seiner Oberfläche hinterlassen hat.

Es gibt auch Höhlenmalereien, die die Anwesenheit von Menschen seit Tausenden von Jahren beweisen.

Uluru ist immer schön und seine Schönheit ändert sich je nach dem Sonnenlicht. Als die Hauptzeiten für einen Besuch des Uluru eignen sich jedoch v.a. der Sonnenauf- und Sonnenuntergang.

Im Park gibt es auch ein Kulturzentrum mit einem Geschäft, einem Café und einer Künstlerwerkstatt.

Der Park wird von der australischen Regierung und den Anangu, den ehemaligen Bewohnern der Region, verwaltet.

Wir kamen mit dem Flugzeug in Ayers Rock an, der Flughafen befindet sich neben der kleinen Stadt Yulara. Erich und ich übernachteten im Ayers Rock Resort

in der Nähe des Parks und es ist eine der besten Möglichkeiten für einen Aufenthalt in dieser Gegend.

Wieviel Zeit sollte man einplanen? Wir blieben drei Tage, einen, um anzukommen, einen, um am nächsten Morgen einen Ausflug zu machen, um die Olgas (eine wunderschöne Gruppe von Felsformationen) zu besuchen, und einen, um am Nachmittag den Uluru zu besuchen.

Es gibt andere Möglichkeiten, Uluru zu besuchen, falls Sie mehr Zeit haben. Ich empfehle, ein Auto in Alice Springs, 460 km von Uluru entfernt, zu mieten und andere Parks in der Nähe zu besuchen.

In Uluru gibt es weitere Tourmöglichkeiten. Die Kultur der Aborigines ist sehr reichhaltig und kann daher bei Interesse auch in Ihre Reiseroute und Aktivitäten einbezogen werden.

Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park is a magical and mystical place in the heart of Australia in the region known as the Red Center.

Uluru is a huge red monolithic, recognized worldwide as one of the natural wonders of the planet and as the spiritual center of Australian Aborigines.

Kata Tjuta are the rocky domes west of Uluru.

This park is also known as Ayers Rock and has been inhabited for millions of years.

It is a sacred place for the Australian Aborigines and therefore climbing has been prohibited since September 2019. Uluru is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Australia.

There are many ways around the monolith and these can be covered in different ways: on foot,

by car, by Segway,

by motorcycle or bus.

Although it is only one giant stone it has different faces, which are characterized by waves, caves and traces that time has left on its surface.

There are also cave paintings that prove the presence of humans for thousands of years.

Uluru is always beautiful and its beauty changes depending on the sunlight. However, the main times for a visit to Uluru are: the sunrise and sunset.

In the park there is also a cultural center with a shop, a café and an artist workshop.

The park is managed by the Australian government and the Anangu, the region’s former residents.

We arrived in Ayers Rock by plane, the airport is next to the small town of Yulara. Erich and I stayed at the Ayers Rock Resort

near the Park and it is one of the best ways to stay in this area.

How much time should you plan? We stayed three days, one to arrive, one to take a trip the next morning to visit the Olgas (a beautiful group of rock formations) and one to visit Uluru in the afternoon.

There are other ways to visit Uluru if you have more time. I recommend renting a car in Alice Springs, 460 km from Uluru, and visiting other parks nearby.

There are other tour options in Uluru. The Aboriginal culture is very rich and can therefore also be included in your travel route and activities if you are interested.

Auckland, maior cidade da Nova Zelândia, está localizada no norte do país

e possui cerca de 1,5 milhão de habitantes.

Erich e eu visitamos a cidade, ponto de origem de um cruzeiro no qual viajamos pela Oceania.

Para conhecer melhor Auckland, usamos o ônibus turístico Hop on Hof, que possui duas rotas, totalizando 16 pontos turísticos para embarque e desembarque dos passageiros.

O que mais despertou minha atenção foi a área da marina onde se podem observar muitos barcos, o que justifica Auckland ser conhecida como a “cidade das velas”.

Outro ponto de onde se tem uma vista muito bonita é a Okahu Bay,onde se avista os prédios e o cartão postal de Auckland: a Sky Tower.

Outro aspecto marcante da cidade são as árvores conhecidas como a “árvore de Natal”, pois elas somente florescem nessa época do ano.

Outra área muito bonita é a Hobson Bay. Porém, o coração efervescente de Auckland encontra-se na área do terminal de ferry boat, do The Viaduct Harbour, do Museu Marítimo Wynyard Quaerter.

Essa região tem muitos restaurantes e bares e no final de semana fica lotada. Por isso, é importante sempre reservar restaurantes.

Outro aspecto interessante na cidade é que ela é o portão de entrada para se realizar várias excursões aos arredores, como visitar Hobbiton Movie Set, um dos locais das filmagens da Trilogia do Senhor dos Anéis,

o parque geotermal Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland,

fazer um bate-volta à lha de Waiheke, local de belas praias e vinícolas, dentre outros.

Se você estiver com tempo, vale visitar o bairro de Devonport, alcançado por ferry boat (12 minutos a travessia)

e também apreciar a vista da cidade do alto do Monte Eden.

und hat etwa 1,5 Millionen Einwohner.

Erich und ich besuchten die Stadt als Ausgangspunkt einer Kreuzfahrt für eine Reise durch   Ozeanien.

Um Auckland kennenzulernen benutzen wir die Hop-On Hop-Off Busse mit zwei Routen und insgesamt 16 Anhaltepunkten .

Was meine Aufmerksamkeit am meisten auf sich zog war der Bereich des Yachthafens, in dem sehr, sehr viele Boote zu sehen waren, die Begründung dafür, dass Auckland als „Stadt der Segel“ bekannt ist.

Ein weiterer Punkt, von dem aus Sie eine sehr schöne Aussicht geniessen können, ist die Okahu Bay, von wo Sie die Skyline und die Hauptattraktion von Auckland sehen können: den Sky Tower.

Ein weiterer auffälliger Aspekt der Stadt sind die Bäume, die als „Weihnachtsbaum“ bekannt sind, da sie nur zu dieser Jahreszeit blühen.

Eine weitere sehr schöne Gegend der Stadt ist die Hobson Bay. Das sprudelnde Herz von Auckland jedoch befindet sich im Bereich des Fährterminals, des Viaduct Harbour und des Wynyard Quaerter Maritime Museum.

Dieses Viertel offeriert viele Restaurants und Bars und ist an Wochenenden extrem voll. Daher ist es sehr wichtig, immer die Restaurants zu reservieren.

Ein weiterer interessanter Aspekt ist, dass Auckland als Ausgangspunktes für verschiedenste Ausflüge in die Umgebung  genutzt werden kann wie zum Beispiel dem Hobbiton Movie Set, einem der Drehorte für die Herr der Ringe-Trilogie

 und dem Geothermiepark Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland.

Machen Sie einen Ausflug zur Insel Waiheke, wo sich unter anderem wunderschöne Strände und Weingüter befinden.

and has approximately 1.5 million inhabitants.

Erich and I visited the city as the starting point of a cruise for a trip through Oceania.

To get to know Auckland we used the hop-on hop-off buses with two routes and a total of 16 stops.

What caught my attention the most was the area of the marina where there were very, very many boats, the reason why Auckland is known as the “City of Sails”.

Another point from which you can enjoy a very nice view is the Okahu Bay, from where you can see the skyline and the main attraction of Auckland: the Sky Tower.

Another striking aspect of the city are the trees known as the “Christmas tree” because they only bloom at this time of year.

Another very nice area of the city is Hobson Bay. However, the bubbling heart of Auckland is in the area of the ferry terminal, the Viaduct Harbor and the Wynyard Quaerter Maritime Museum.

This district offers many restaurants and bars and is extremely crowded on weekends. It is therefore very important to always reserve restaurants.

Another interesting aspect is that Auckland can be used as a starting point for various excursions in the area such as the Hobbiton Movie Set, one of the locations for the Lord of the Rings trilogy

and the geothermal park Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland.

Take a trip to the island of Waiheke, where there are beautiful beaches and wineries, among other things.

Depois de passar o Natal de 2018 em algum ponto do oceano entre Nova Zelândia e Austrália, realmente um dos pontos altos da nossa vida, outro momento inesquecível estava esperando por nós: tivemos a oportunidade de entrar o Novo Ano de 2019 em Sydney, experiência única, que nunca vamos esquecer…!!!

Existem cidades que considero especiais para estar na entrada do Ano Novo, para curtir a festa de Réveillon, como Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Berlim, Sydney, dentre outras. Erich e eu tivemos o prazer de estar em Sydney no dia 31 de dezembro de 2019.

Neste post, vou dividir com vocês algumas informações que considero uteis saber no caso de você estar interessado(a) em planejar passar uma festa de Ano Novo em Sydney:

– É definitivamente um dos maiores espetáculos pirotécnicos no mundo;

– Há duas queimas de fogos: uma acontece às 21 horas para a criançada que vai dormir mais cedo e a outra, à meia-noite;

– Reserve seu hotel com muita antecedência;

– Recomendo que se hospede em um hotel numa área de onde você possa caminhar até os locais de melhor visualização do espetáculo. A área principal de onde acontece a queima de fogos localiza-se entre a Harbour Bridge (Ponte do Porto) e a Ópera de Sydney;

– As pessoas começam a chegar muito cedo

para estarem nos melhores pontos de visualização.

Elas levam cadeiras, toalhas para sentar-se no chão. Vi na televisão de lá que tinha gente que havia chegado às 4 horas da manhã;

– Há possibilidade de ver o espetáculo de barcos que vendem jantares para esse dia. Porém, confirme cuidadosamente o local de onde os barcos vão partir;

– Não é hábito das pessoas vestirem-se de branco;

– A circulação de automóveis na área é proibida. Definitivamente você precisa caminhar e caminhar;

– É proibido ingerir bebidas alcoólicas nas ruas de Sydney;

– No mais, é preciso que você seja uma pessoa paciente e goste de estar em lugar com milhares de pessoas.

Existe a possibilidade de você gastar muito tempo para voltar para seu hotel depois da queima de fotos. Há filas em todo lugar, para usar o metro, o trem, dentre outros.

Nach Weihnachten 2018 auf hoher See irgendwo zwischen Neuseeland und Australien, übrigens ein echtes Highlight in unserem Leben, wartete ein neues auf uns mit der Chance, in Sydney das NEUE JAHR 2019 zu beginnen, ein einzigartiges Erlebnis, unvergesslich…!!

Es gibt Städte, die ich für ganz besonders am Beginn eines neuen Jahres halte, um die Silvesterparty zu genießen, u. a. Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Berlin und natürlich Sydney.

Erich und ich hatten das Vergnügen, am 31. Dezember 2019 in Sydney zu sein. In diesem Beitrag möchte ich Ihnen einige Informationen geben, die nützlich sein könnten, falls Sie an der Silvesterparty in Sydney teilnehmen wollen:

– Es ist definitiv eine der größten pyrotechnischen Shows dieser Welt;

– Es gibt zwei Feuerwerke: eines um 21 Uhr für die Kinder, die dann früher schlafen gehen, und das andere um Mitternacht;

– Buchen Sie Ihr Hotel rechtzeitig;

– Ich empfehle Ihnen, in einem Hotel zu übernachten, von dem aus Sie die besten Aussichtspunkte zu Fuß erreichen können. Der Hauptbereich zum Sehen des Feuerwerks liegt zwischen der Harbour Bridge und dem Sydney Opera House;

 

– Die Leute kommen schon sehr früh,

um die besten Plätze zu belegen. Sie bringen Stühle und Decken mit, um auf dem Boden sitzen zu können. Ich sah dort im Fernsehen, dass es Leute gab, die bereits um 4 Uhr morgens angekommen waren;

– Es besteht auch die Möglichkeit, die Show von Booten aus inclusive Dinner zu sehen. Vergewissern Sie sich jedoch sorgfältig, von wo aus genau die Boote abfahren werden.

– Es ist kein Brauch der Menschen hier, sich für Silvester in Weiß zu kleiden;

– Für Autos ist der gesamte Bereich gesperrt. Sie müssen auf jeden Fall laufen und nochmals laufen;

– Es ist verboten, auf den Straßen Sydneys Alkohol zu trinken.

– Außerdem müssen Sie eine geduldige Person, sich dessen durchaus bewusst sein, dass Sie von Tausenden von Menschen unmittelbar umgeben sein werden.

Es kann sehr lange Zeit dauern, bis Sie nach dem Feuerwerk wieder zu ihrer Unterkunft gelangen. Es gibt überall lange Schlangen für U-Bahnen, Züge usw.

10 USEFUL INFORMATION ON SYDNEY NEW YEAR’S PARTY

After Christmas 2018 on Sea somewhere between New Zealand and Australia, a real highlight in our life, a new one was waiting for us with having the chance to enter the NEW YEAR 2019 in Sydney, a unique experience, unforgetable…!!

There are cities that I consider special to be at the entrance of the New Year, to enjoy the New Year’s Eve party, such as Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Berlin, Sydney, among others.

Erich and I had the pleasure of being in Sydney on December 31 2019. In this post I will share with you some information that I find useful to know in case you are interested in planning to go to New Year’s Eve party in Sydney:

– It is definitely one of the biggest pyrotechnic shows in the world;

– There are two fireworks: one happens at 9 pm for the children who go to sleep early and the other at midnight;

– Book your hotel well in advance;

– I recommend you stay in a hotel in an area where you can walk to the best viewing venues. The main area for fireworks is between the Harbor Bridge and the Sydney Opera House;

– People start arriving very early to be at the best viewing points.

They bring chairs, towels to sit on the floor. I saw on television there that there were people who had arrived already at 4 am;

– There exists too the possibility to see the show from boats selling dinners for that day. However, carefully confirm where the boats will depart from;

– It is not the habit of people to dress in white;

– The circulation of cars in the area is prohibited. You definitely need to walk and walk;

– It is forbidden to drink alcohol on the streets of Sydney;

– Plus, you need to be a patient person and enjoy being in place with thousands of people.

It can take many time to get home after the firework. There are filas allover for Metro, trains etc.

The next day we had the feeling that all Sydney were at the beaches around, all beaches were extremely full.

Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland é um parque geotermal localizada na Nova Zelândia e é uma das atrações turísticas mais visitadas desse país. Está localizado cerca de 30 km da cidade de Rotorua.

Wai-O-Tapu é parte da Reserva Cênica e possui a maior área de superfície de atividade termal vulcânica da região de Taipo.

O local tem uma área de 18 km2 na parte vulcânica de Maungakakamea, com muitas crateras, piscinas com águas borbulhantes e fumarolas (buracos na superfície da terra que emitem gases e vapores localizados em região vulcânica), existem mais de vinte atrações dentro dessa atração.

No início da visita, você primeiro entra pelo Centro de Visitantes,

onde há a venda do bilhete de entrada e uma loja de souvenirs. A partir daí, você tem acesso à parte externa do parque

e vai conhecendo pequenas piscinas de águas borbulhantes de lama vulcânica com crateras de onde saem vapores.

O cheiro de enxofre é muito forte. Você vai caminhando, apreciando a paisagem diferente quando então, de repente, você se depara com a “lagoa de champanhe”, um dos lugares mais espetaculares que já visitei na vida, é uma piscina de lama borbulhante com altas temperaturas chamada de Wai-O-tapu Mud Pool.

Há uma produção permanente de fumaça que vem da terra e a lama dessa piscina é composta por diversos elementos que conferem uma tonalidade especial a esse lugar, que se torna mais espetacular com a incidência dos raios solares.

Esse parque geotérmico possui muitos atrativos e há três roteiros para visitá-lo, um desses atrativos é Lady Knox Geiser que entra em erupção, induzida (através de procedimentos técnicos a erupção é provocada), todos os dias as 10:15 da manhã.

Wai-O-Tapu integra a lista elaborada pelo site de viagens Trip Advisor com um dos 20 lugares mais “surreais” do planeta.

Depois de apreciarmos a beleza desse cenário, continuamos caminhando dentro dessa área, apreciando as atrações geotérmicas e nos deparamos com uma lagoa de cor verde intenso, tão incrível conhecido como Devil´s Bath (Banho do Diabo).

Wai-O-Tapu significa na língua maori, águas sagradas. Se você planejar uma viagem à Nova Zelândia definitivamente inclua uma visita à Wai-O-Tapu.

Das Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland ist ein Geothermiepark in Neuseeland und auch eine der meistbesuchten Touristenattraktionen Neuseelands. Es ist etwa 30 km von der Stadt Rotorua entfernt.

Wai-O-Tapu ist Teil des Landschaftsschutzgebiets und hat die größte Oberfläche vulkanischer thermischer Aktivität in der Region Taipo.

Der Standort hat eine Fläche von 18 km2 im vulkanischen Gebiet von Maungakakamea, mit vielen Kratern, Pools mit sprudelndem Wasser und Fumarolen (Löcher in der Erdoberfläche, die Gase und Dämpfe in der Vulkanregion emittieren). Es gibt über zwanzig Attraktionen innerhalb dieses Parkes.

Im Besucherzentrum finden Sie den Ticketverkauf und Souvenirshop.

Von dort aus geht es dann zu kleinen Pools mit sprudelndem

vulkanischem Schlammwasser und dampfenden Kratern.

Der Geruch nach Schwefel ist sehr stark. Auf Ihrem Spaziergang/Rundgang gelangen Sie dann plötzlich zur „Champagner-Lagune“, einer der spektakulärsten Orte, die ich jemals in meinem Leben besucht habe, ein extrem heiss- sprudelndes Teichbecken namens Wai-O-Tapu, der Schlamm-Pool.

Es raucht permanent überall und der Schlamm dieses Beckens besteht aus unterschiedlichen Elementen, die diesem Ort einen besonderen Farbton verleihen, der dann mit den Sonnenstrahlen umso spektakulärer erscheint.

Dieser geothermische Park offeriert viel Sehenswertes und es gibt drei Routen, von denen eine Lady Knox Geyser ist, der jeden Tag um 10:15 Uhr durch technische Maßnahmen künstlich ausgelöst wird.

Nachdem wir die Schönheit dieser Landschaft genossen haben, spazieren wir gemütlich weiter, genießen die geothermischen Attraktionen und stoßen dann auf eine intensiv grüne sehr kleine Lagune, die so unglaublich ist, dass sie auch als Devil´s Bath (Bad des Teufels) bekannt ist.

Wai-O-Tapu – surreal beauty of New Zealand

The Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland is a geothermal Park in New Zealand and also one of New Zealand’s most visited tourist attractions. It is about 30 km from the city of Rotorua.

Wai-O-Tapu is part of the conservation area and has the largest surface of volcanic thermal activity in the Taipo region.

The site covers an area of 18 km2 in the volcanic area of Maungakakamea, with many craters, pools of bubbling water and fumaroles (holes in the earth’s surface that emit gases and fumes in the volcanic region). There are over twenty attractions within this Park.

In the visitor center you will find ticket sales and a souvenir shop.

From there it goes to small pools with bubbling volcanic mud and

steaming craters.

The smell of sulfur is very strong. On your walk  then you will suddenly arrive at the “Champagne Lagoon”, one of the most spectacular places I have ever visited in my life, an extremely hot bubbling pond named Wai-O-Tapu, the mud pool.

It constantly smokes everywhere and the mud of this pool is made up of different elements that give this place a special color, which then seems all the more spectacular with the sun’s rays.

This geothermal park offers much to see and there are three routes, one of which is the Lady Knox Geyser, which is artificially triggered every day at 10:15 AM by technical measures.

Wai-O-Tapu is part of the Trip Adviser travel list with one of the 20 “surreal” places in the world.

After enjoying the beauty of this landscape we continue to walk leisurely, enjoy the geothermal attractions, and then encounter an intense green very small lagoon so incredible that it is also known as Devil’s Bath.

Wai-O-Tapu means holy water in the Maori language. If you are planning a trip to New Zealand you should definitely visit Wai-O-Tapu.

Dunedin está localizada na Ilha do Sul da Nova Zelândia, é a segunda maior cidade e está situada na Península de Otago, uma área coberta de verde e de lindas paisagens.

Tivemos a oportunidade de visitar Dunedin

e realizar um belo passeio de trem

conhecido como Taieri Gorge Scenic Rail Experience, operado pela Dunedin Railways.

O percurso completo tem 78 km. Percorremos 58 km desse roteiro, de Dunedin até Pukerangi,

atravessando 10 túneis, cavados à mão a 100 anos atrás, ladeando o cânion do Rio Taieri.

Esse trem atravessa o famoso Viaduto Wingatui – a segunda maior estrutura de ferro forjado em operação no mundo.

A estrada de ferro é um caminho cênico onde, segundo Erich: “é uma viagem através de um paraíso amarelo com paisagens compostas de um rio sinuoso correndo entre cânions floridos”.

Para que você possa  entender melhor, as montanhas, durante o verão nessa região estão floridas com “brome”, flor amarela (em português é a flor da carqueja), que pinta a paisagem de amarelo e torna o cenário espetacular!

Nessa viagem é possível apreciar cachoeiras, a sinuosidade do Rio Taieri, cânions floridos, vegetação exuberante em parte do trecho.

Realizamos esse passeio no mês de dezembro de 2018.

Um aspecto que nos chamou atenção e que merece aplausos é que a Dunedin Railways é operada por voluntários. Eu perguntei a atendente do nosso vagão, a simpática professora Mel e ela me disse que havia, uma fila de aproximadamente, 80 pessoas inscritas para trabalharem como voluntários e que diariamente trabalham em torno de 10 a 12 pessoas. O que a empresa arrecada é para a manutenção do trem!!! Considero uma das mais fantásticas experiências de trabalho voluntário no mundo!

Essa viagem pode ser realizada saindo de Dunedin e também de Christchurch. Durante o percurso aconteceram três paradas: uma para apreciar a paisagem, a segunda para visitar um mercado aberto de artesanato

e a última, para visitar a antiga Estação Ferroviária de Dunedin, que é uma pérola, aberta ao público em 1906.

O hall principal desse edifício é muito bonito!

Se você visitar Dunedin, vale a pena realizar esse belo passeio e se encantar com a beleza espetacular das montanhas floridas de amarelo!

Die spektakuläre Zugfahrt in Dunedin – Neuseeland

Dunedin liegt auf der Südinsel Neuseelands, sie ist die zweitgrößte Stadt und befindet sich auf der Otago-Halbinsel, einem Gebiet mit viel Grün und wunderschöner Landschaft.

Wir hatten die Gelegenheit, Dunedin zu besuchen

und an einer wunderschönen Zugfahrt

namens Taieri Gorge Scenic Rail Experience teilzunehmen, die von Dunedin Railways betrieben wird.

Die gesamte Strecke hat 78 km. Wir haben 58 km dieser Route von Dunedin nach Pukerangi zurückgelegt

und dabei 10 vor 100 Jahren von Hand gegrabene Tunnel durchquert, die den Taieri Canyon flankieren.

Dieser Zug fährt Über das berühmte Wingatui-Viadukt – die zweitgrößte funktionierende Schmiedeeisenkonstruktion der Welt.

Die Eisenbahnfahrt ist einfach malerisch, Erich sagt: “Es ist eine Reise durch ein gelbes Paradies mit bergigen Landschaften und einem sich dahinschlängelnden Fluss, der durch diese blühenden Schluchten fließt.”

Zum besseren Verständnis, die Berge in dieser Region sind im Sommer mit der gelbblühenden buschigen Stechginster überzogen, sie färbt die Landschaft gelb, spektakulär…!!!

Auf diesem Ausflug können Sie Wasserfälle, den Fluss Taieri, blühende Canyons und die üppige Vegetation auf einem Teil der Strecke genießen.

Wir haben diese Tour im Dezember 2018 gemacht.

Eine Sache, die unsere Aufmerksamkeit erregte und groβen Applaus verdient, ist die Tatsache, dass Dunedin Railways von Ehrenamtlichen betrieben wird.

Ich fragte unsere Wagenbegleiterin, die freundliche Lehrerin Mel, und sie erzählte mir, dass etwa 80 Personen als Freiwillige gemeldet sind und täglich etwa 10-12 Personen aktiv sind.

Was die Firma einnimmt wird für die Instandhaltung des Zuges verwendet!!! Ich halte dies für eine der fantastischsten Erfahrungen ehrenamtlicher Arbeit in unserer Welt!

Dieser Ausflug kann von Dunedin und auch von Christchurch aus realisiert werden. Unterwegs gab es drei Haltestellen: eine, Hindon, um die Landschaft zu genießen, die zweite, Pukerangi, um einen offenen Handwerksmarkt zu besuchen

und die letzte, um den alten Bahnhof Pearl Dunedin zu besuchen, der 1906 für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich war.

Die Haupthalle und das Gebäude sind sehr schön!

Wenn Sie Dunedin besuchen sollten, lohnt es sich jedenfalls diesen schönen Ausflug zu unternehmen und sich von der spektakulären Schönheit der blühenden gelben Berge verzaubern zu lassen!

The spectacular train ride in Dunedin – New Zealand

Located on the South Island of New Zealand Dunedin is the second largest city and is located on the Otago Peninsula, an area of lush greenery and beautiful scenery.

We had the opportunity to visit Dunedin

and we took part in a beautiful train ride

called the Taieri Gorge Scenic Rail Experience operated by Dunedin Railways.

The entire route has 78 km. We covered 58 km of this route from Dunedin to Pukerangi,

crossing 10 tunnels dug 100 years ago by hand, flanking the Taieri Canyon.

This train goes over the famous Wingatui Viaduct – the second largest working wrought iron construction in the world.

The train ride is simply picturesque, Erich says: “It’s a journey through a yellow paradise with mountainous landscapes and a meandering river that flows through these blooming canyons.”

For a better understanding, the mountains in this region are covered with the yellow flowering bushy gorse in summer, it colors the landscape yellow, spectacular…!!!

On this trip you can enjoy waterfalls, the Taieri River, blooming canyons and lush vegetation on part of the route.

We did this tour in December 2018.

One thing that caught our attention and deserves great applause is the fact that Dunedin Railways is run by volunteers.

I asked our car companion, the friendly teacher Mel, and she told me that about 80 people are registered as volunteers and about 10-12 people are active every day.

What the company earns is used for the maintenance of the train !!! I consider this one of the most fantastic experiences of volunteer work in our world!

This trip can be made from Dunedin and Christchurch. There were three stops along the way: one, Hindon, to enjoy the scenery, the second, Pukerangi, to visit an open craft market,

and the last to visit the old Pearl Dunedin station, open to the public in 1906.

The main hall and the building are very nice!

If you visit Dunedin it is definitely worth the trip and be enchanted by the spectacular beauty of the blooming yellow mountains!
