Erich e eu gostamos de viajar de navio e dessa forma, já visitamos vários destinos no mundo. Também apreciamos viagens de aventura onde podemos caminhar em trilhas que nos conduzem a lugares longínquos. Neste post, vamos tratar de um cruzeiro que fizemos pelo o Alaska, o maior estado em extensão dos Estados Unidos e com a menor densidade populacional.

Quando compramos a viagem do cruzeiro também estava incluso dois pernoites em áreas naturais: o Monte McKinley

e o parque Denali,

lugares com belas paisagens que atraem milhões de turistas anualmente. Após dormimos duas noites nesses lugares, viajamos em um trem panorâmico,

que fez a rota Parque Denali até Anchorage, de onde partiu nosso navio no verão.

O roteiro da viagem de navio foi a seguinte:

– Partida do porto Whittier, 70 km de Anchorage;

dois dias de cruzeiro cênico passando pelo Hubbart Glaciar

e pelo Parque Nacional dos Glaciares;

– Visita à  Skagway,

à Juneau,

à Ketchikan

e finalizando no porto de Vancouver, no Canadá.

Nos dias de cruzeiro cênico, quando o navio desliza suavemente pelas águas do Oceano Pacífico, são dias incríveis, principalmente quando o sol brilha e o céu está bem azul. O navio navega próximo aos glaciares, monumentos da natureza espetaculares.

Durante o cruzeiro participamos de excursões em terra para visitar atrações muito interessantes como o passeio de trem da linha “White Pass & Yukon”

e um passeio para observar baleias em Juneau.

Para concluir, gostaríamos de enfatizar alguns aspectos sobre essa viagem:

– Cruzeiros pelo Alaska devem ser realizados no verão porque o lugar é muito frio e durante o inverno não há luz solar. Mesmo no verão era “friozinho”, eu até consegui ficar resfriada, o que atrapalhou um pouco minha viagem;

– Além disso, você deve considerar o fator sorte, torcer para ter dias ensolarados com céu azul. Nós tivemos sorte de não ter chovido, mas, tivemos alguns dias cinzentos;

– Recomendamos que sempre compre as excursões oferecidas pelo navio para visitar atrações na terra, em cada porto, vale muito a pena e enriquece sua viagem;

– E agora uma dica importante: o Alasca é o lugar ideal para realizar voos de hidroaviões, Erich quis voar, eu não, depois me arrependi profundamente. Os hidroaviões são muito populares no Alasca porque existem lugares que são acessíveis apenas com eles, com barco e com navio.

– O Alasca é longe, já próximo do polo norte, por isso, quando planejar uma viagem para lá, procure incluir outros destinos.

No nosso caso, voamos Natal-Rio de Janeiro – Atlanta – Nova Iorque, ficamos alguns dias em Nova Iorque, seguimos para Toronto e de lá voamos para Anchorage. Depois de alguns dias em Vancouver,

continuamos a viagem para Seattle, São Francisco, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon e voltamos para o Brasil, fazendo uma parada para descanso em Punta Cana,

de onde voamos diretamente para São Paulo e de lá para Natal.

Alaska-Kreuzfahrt

Erich und ich reisen gerne mit dem Schiff und auf diese Weise  haben wir schon viele Ziele auf dieser Welt besucht. Wir genießen aber auch Abenteuerreisen und Wanderungen, die uns zu weit entlegenen Orten führen.

In diesem Beitrag machen wir nun eine Kreuzfahrt durch Alaska, den größten Bundesstaat der USA mit der geringsten Bevölkerungsdichte.

Als wir die Kreuzfahrt buchten beinhaltete das Reisepaket  auch zwei Übernachtungen in Naturparkgebieten: Mount McKinley

 und Denali Park,

Orte mit wunderschöner Landschaft, die jährlich Millionen von Touristen anziehen.

Anschlieβend brachte uns eine malerische sommerliche Zugfahrt

via Anchorage zu unserem Starthafen, die Route dieser Kreuzfahrtreise war dann wie folgt:

– Abfahrt vom Whittier Harbour bei Anchorage;

es folgen zwei Tage auf dem Schiff vorbei am Hubbart-Gletscher

und  dem Glacier Bay National Park;

– Besuch der Orte Skagway,

Juneau,

Ketchikan

und das Ende der Kreuzfahrt war dann der Hafen von Vancouver, Kanada.

An malerischen Kreuzfahrttagen, wenn das Schiff sanft über das Wasser des Pazifischen Ozeans gleitet, sind dies fantastische Tage, insbesondere dann, wenn die Sonne scheint und der Himmel sehr tiefblau erscheint. Das Schiff fährt ganz in die Nähe der Gletscher, spektakuläre Naturdenkmäler.

Während der Kreuzfahrt unternahmen wir auch Landausflüge mit sehr interessanten Attraktionen wie z.B. die Fahrt mit dem White Pass & Yukon Zug

oder auch die Exkursion, um  bei Juneau Wale zu beobachten.

Abschließend möchten wir einige Aspekte dieser Reise hervorheben:

Alaska-Kreuzfahrten sollten für den Sommer geplant werden, da die Ort sehr kalt sind und im Winter auch kaum Tageslicht vorhanden ist. Sogar im Sommer war es “kalt”, ich erkältete mich sogar etwas, was mein Reisewohlbehagen ein wenig störte;

– Sie sollten auch den Glücksfaktor in Betracht ziehen, in der Hoffnung, um sonnige Tage mit blauem Himmel genieβen zu können. Wir hatten Glück, dass es nicht geregnet hat, aber wir hatten auch ein paar graue Tage;

– Wir empfehlen Ihnen, immer die Ausflüge, die das Schiff anbietet, im Voraus zu reservieren, um die Attraktionen an Land in jedem Hafen in entspannter Atmosphäre besuchen zu können. Es lohnt sich und bereichert Ihre Reise.

– Und nun ein wichtiger Tipp: Alaska ist der ideale Ort für Wasserflugzeuge, Erich wollte damit fliegen, nicht ich, er hat es später dann sehr bereut. Wasserflugzeuge sind in Alaska sehr beliebt, da es Orte gibt, die nur damit oder per Boot zugänglich sind.

– Alaska ist weit weg, bereits in der Nähe der Nordpolregion. Wenn Sie eine Reise dorthin planen, versuchen Sie, weitere Ziele miteinzubeziehen.

In unserem Fall sind wir Natal-Rio de Janeiro – Atlanta – New York geflogen, sind ein paar Tage in New York geblieben, sind dann nach Toronto geflogen und von dort nach Anchorage.

Am Ende der Kreuzfahrt nach ein paar Tagen in Vancouver

setzten wir unsere Reise nach Seattle, San Francisco, Las Vegas,  Grand Canyon und zurück nach Brasilien fort, wir machten hierbei einen Stopover in Punta Cana, Dominikanische Republik,

von wo aus wir dann direkt nach Sao Paulo und von dort weiter nach Natal flogen.

Alaska cruise

Erich and I like to travel by ship and in this way we have already visited many destinations in this world. But we also enjoy adventure trips and hikes that lead us to far away places.

In this post, we’ll cruise through Alaska, the largest state in the US with the lowest population density.

When we booked the cruise the package also included two nights in nature park areas: Mount McKinley

 and Denali Park,

places with beautiful scenery that attract millions of tourists each year.

Afterwards a scenic summer train ride

via Anchorage took us to our starting harbor, the route of this cruise trip was as follows:

– Departure from Whittier Harbor close to Anchorage;

two days on the ship passing  the Hubbart Glacier

and Glacier Bay National Park;

– Visiting  Skagway,

Juneau,

Ketchikan

and the end of the cruise was then the port of Vancouver, Canada.

On scenic cruise days as the ship glides gently across the waters of the Pacific Ocean, these are fantastic days, especially when the sun is shining and the sky is very deep blue. The ship goes very close to the glaciers, these spectacular natural monuments.

During the cruise we also made shore excursions with very interesting attractions such as the trip with the White Pass & Yukon train

or even the excursion to observe at Juneau wales.

Finally, we would like to highlight some aspects of this journey:

Alaskan cruises should be scheduled for the summer, as the location is very cold and there is little daylight in winter. Even in the summer it was “cold”, I even caught a cold, which disturbed my travel well-being a little bit;

– You should also consider the luck factor, hoping to enjoy sunny days with blue skies. We were lucky that it did not rain, but we also had a few gray days;

– We recommend that you always reserve in advance the excursions that the ship offers in order to visit the attractions on land in each port in a relaxed atmosphere. It is worthwhile and enriches your journey.

– And now an important tip: Alaska is the ideal place for seaplanes, Erich wanted to fly with it, not me, he later regretted it. Seaplanes are very popular in Alaska because there are places that are accessible only by plane or by boat.

– Alaska is far away, already near the North Pole region. If you are planning a trip there, try to include more destinations.

In our case we flew Natal-Rio de Janeiro – Atlanta – New York, stayed a few days in New York, then we flew to Toronto and from there to Anchorage.

At the end of the cruise after a few days in Vancouver we continued our journey to Seattle, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon and then back to Brazil, making a stopover in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic,

from where we headed straight to Sao Paulo and from there on back home to Natal.
