Do sudoeste da Alemanha até a região da Alsácia, é só um pulinho! Nessa região da França, localizada nas encostas da cadeia de montanhas chamadas Vosges, há cidadezinhas medievais que lhe transportam para outros tempos na história.

São muitas as opções de lazer e férias nessa região. Eu recomendo três dias e duas noites, tempo suficiente para aproveitar muitas das diversas opções de lazer da região da Alsácia.

Nosso roteiro nos conduzirá de Estrasburgo através de Obernai e Riquewihr, na Alsácia, para Gerardmer, nas proximidades de Lorraine.

Rota Strasbourg-Gerardmer/ Route Straβburg-Geradmer / Route Straßburg – Gerardmer

Reserve um dia para Estrasburgo. A catedral de Estrasburgo, localizada no centro dessa cidade cultural da Alsácia, é uma das mais importantes da Europa.

Nas proximidades desse edifício, há uma casa de estilo do Gótico Tardio, que impressiona.

O centro histórico de Estrasburgo, chamado de “La Petite France”, tem uma ótima localização, com suas casas em estilo enxaimel com vistas para o rio III que banha a cidade. Esse conjunto é Patrimônio Mundial da Humanidade, tombado pela UNESCO.

O Parlamento Europeu, o Conselho da Europa e o Tribunal Europeu dos Direitos Humanos estão localizados em Estrasburgo.

Outro dia será destinado a Geradmer, localizada a 130 km de Estrasburgo. O percurso é pontilhado de muitos lugares interessantes que vão tornar seu dia uma experiência muito agradável.

Distante apenas 25 km de Estrasburgo, visitamos Obernai, cidadezinha com 10 000 habitantes localizada em uma planície na parte alta do Rio Reno.

O que me fascina sempre nesse lugar é o Mercado de Natal, além da variedade e beleza da decoração da cidade nessa época do ano combinada com as casas em estilo enxaimel, além do centro histórico muito bem preservado.

A próxima para é Riquewihr, para mim, é o máximo, para Marcia, é uma cidade medieval inserida de forma harmoniosa e completa entre os vinhedos das montanhas dos Vosges.

Aqui, você deve reservar um tempo para relaxar nas suas ruas com casas coloridas, com suas fontes,

A cidade é uma joia e também sua gastronomia, que faz com que você permaneça nela para aproveitar seu vinho e suas delicias.

Se você procura por um lugar romântico e medieval, você vai encontrar tudo isso em Riquewihr, um lugar para você visitar acompanhado.

A última etapa deste dia nos levará através das montanhas arborizadas no sul dos Vosges para Gérardmer com seus idílicos lagos de banho.

Gérardmer também chamada a “pérola dos Vosges” é também estação de esqui com muitos resorts.

É famosa por seu festival de narcísios em abril e, embora aconteça na região vizinha da Lorraine, menciono aqui para dar a este passeio uma conclusão especial.

Pittoreske Dörfer – fantastische Landschaften und Schlemmen wie Gott in Frankreich

Mit nur einem Katzensprung erreicht man vom Südwesten Deutschlands aus das Elsass mit seinen malerischen Dörfern in den Hängen der Vogesen gelegen – lebendige Geschichte.

Es gibt unzählige Freizeit- und Urlaubsmöglichkeiten in dieser Region, ich möchte mich hier auf nur eine Variante von 3 Tagen und 2 Übernachtungen konzentrieren, die viel Abwechslung offeriert.

Unsere Fahrt wird uns von Straβburg über Obernai und Riquewhire im Elsass schlieβlich nach Geradmer im benachbarten Lothringen führen.

Nehmen Sie sich einen Tag Zeit um sich ganz in Ruhe Straβburg anzusehen. Das Straßburger Münster im Zentrum der elsässischen Kulturstadt zählt zu einer der bedeutendsten Kathedralen in Europa.

Direkt neben dem Münster auch das beeindruckende Fachwerkhaus aus der Spätgotik.

Das historische Stadtviertel La Petite France besticht durch seine groβartige Lage, seine Fachwerkhäuser und die gewährten Ausblicke von einer der ganzjährig durchgeführten Bootstouren auf der Ill. Die Altstadt ist komplett ein UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe.

Im sogenanntenEuropa-Viertel befinden sich das Europäische Parlament, der Europarat und der Europäische Gerichtshof für Menschenrechte.

Die Entfernung am nächsten Tag bis nach Geradmer beträgt nur etwa 130 km, aber vieles Sehenswertes lassen den ganzen Tag zum Erlebnis werden.

Etwa 25 Kilometer südwestlich von Straßburg besuchen wir Obernai mit seinen etwa 10.000 Einwohnern in der Oberrheinebene. Was mich hier immer wieder fasziniert ist einmal der Weihnachtsmarkt, aber v.a. auch die Vielfalt und Schönheit der Dekorationen in Verbindung mit der schon fantastischen Fachwerkstruktur der sehr gut erhaltenen Altstadt.

Den nächsten Stop machen wir in Riquewihr,für mich ein Superlativ, für Marcia ein kleines mittelalterliches Dorf, das wie gemalt und komplett erhalten in die Weinhänge der Vogesen harmonisch eingefügt wurde.

Hier sollten Sie sich die Zeit nehmen, um sich in den Gassen mit all den bunten Häusern, seinen Brunnen,

seinen Stadttoren

einfach treiben zu lassen…es ist ein Juwel und auch die Gastronomie mit seinen Weinen und Leckereien laden zum Verweilen hier an der Weinstraβe ein.

Suchen Sie Mittelalter und Romantik…hier finden Sie es, aber Sie sind sicherlich nicht allein hier mit diesem Begehren.

Die letzte Etappe an diesem Tag führt uns dann durch die bewaldeten Berge der Südvogesen nach Gérardmer mit seinen idyllischen Badeseen.

Gérardmer wird auch die “Perle der Vogesen” genannt und auch als Skigebiet beliebt.

Es ist berühmt für sein Narzissenfest im April und obwohl es schon in der Nachbarregion Lothringen gelegen ist, sollte es hier Eingang finden, um dieser Tour einfach einen würdigen Abschluβ zu verleihen.

Pittoresque villages – fantastic landscapes and feasting like God in France

With only one stone’s throw you can reach Alsace from the south-west of Germany with its picturesque villages in the slopes of the Vosges – a lively history.

There are countless leisure and holiday opportunities in this region, I would like to focus on only one variant of 3 days and 2 nights, which offers a lot of variety.

Our trip will lead us from Strasbourg via Obernai and Riquewhire in Alsace to Geradmer in the neighboring Lorraine.

Take a day to see Straßburg. The Strasbourg Cathedral in the center of the Alsatian cultural city is one of the most important cathedrals in Europe.

Right next to the cathedral, the impressive half-timbered house from Late Gothic.

The historic town district of La Petite France has a great location, its half-timbered houses and the views from one of the boat trips on the river Ill. The old town is completely a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The European Parliament, the Council of Europe and the European Court of Human Rights are located in the European quarter.

The distance to Geradmer the next day is only about 130 km, but a lot of places of interest make the whole day an experience.

About 25 kilometers southwest of Strasbourg we visit Obernai with its 10,000 inhabitants in the Upper Rhine Plain. What fascinates me here again and again is the Christmas market, but also the variety and beauty of the decorations in combination with the already fantastic half-timbered structure of the very well-preserved old town.

The next stop is in Riquewihr, for me a unique superlative, for Marcia a small medieval village, which has been inserted harmoniously and completely into the vineyards of the Vosges.

Here you should take the time to just relax in the streets with all the colorful houses, its fountains,

its city gates,

… it is a jewel and also the gastronomy with its wines and treats invite you to stay here on the wine road.

Look for medieval and romance … here you will find it, but you are certainly not alone here with this desire.

The last stage on this day will lead us through the wooded mountains of the southern Vosges to Gérardmer with its idyllic bathing lakes.

Gérardmer is also called the “pearl of the Vosges” and also popular as a ski resort.

It is famous for its daffodils festival in April and although it is already in the neighboring region of Lorraine, it should be here to give this tour a worthy conclusion.

^{A Catedral St. Stephan é fascinante com os edifícios barrocos nos arredores. Possuí uma acústica incrível, além de um dos maiores órgãos do mundo.}

PASSAU – DIE DREIFLÜSSESTADT

Passau ist eine Universitätsstadt und alte Bischofsstadt mit 50.000 Einwohnern in Bayern. Sie liegt an der Grenze zu Österreich sowie am Zusammenfluss der Flüsse Donau, Inn und Ilz und wird deshalb auch „Dreiflüssestadt“ genannt. Aufgrund dieser Lage wird sie auch oft „die Schwimmende Stadt“ genannt.

Die fantastische Lage der Dreiflüssestadt zieht alljährlich sehr viele in- und ausländische Touristen an, hierbei spielt die Flusskreuzfahrbranche inzwischen eine gewichtige Rolle. Diese Lage an den 3 Flüssen führt natürlich auch regelmäβig zu schweren Überschwemmungen und im Jahr 2013 war es dann soweit mit der historischen Rekordmarke von 12,89 Metern – es war das sogenannte Jahrtausendhochwasser.

Wir besuchten Passau mit dem Zug und die Altstadt selbst mit ihren Sehenwürdigkeiten lassen sich bequem zu Fuss und per Bootsausflug besichtigen.

In der Altstadt gibt es viele, auch steile Gassen, die einen zu Spaziergängen einladen und immer wieder stöβt man auf einen Fluss, welcher war das nun schon wieder…??

Faszinierend der Dom St. Stephan mit barocken Gebäuden im Umfeld und einer unglaublichen Akustik durch eine der gröβten Orgeln dieser Welt.

Vom Schiff aus ergeben sich wunderschöne Ausblicke auf die Altstadt, sein Türme-Panorama, die „Vesten“ und natürlich auch auf den Zusammenfluss der 3 Flüsse, die Passau so berühmt machen.

O PERFUME DE PROVENCE

Era verão e o sol brilhava com toda sua intensidade. Seus raios iluminavam intermináveis campos azuis que exalavam um aroma único: o perfume da ‘Provence’. Dava para sentir um perfume intenso provocado por milhares de flores de lavanda que alcançam toda uma região.

Justamente nessa época, entre julho e agosto, é quando os campos repletos de lavanda estalam em flor. É como um imenso jardim da França.

No entorno desses campos de azuis e lilases, castelos milenares, igrejas românicas e pequenas vilas.

Havíamos traçado uma rota cujo destino era a cidade de Marselha, às margens do mediterrâneo e com seu porto histórico.

As fronteiras já estavam abertas pela União Europeia, a livre circulação de pessoas permitida pelo Tratado de ‘Schengen’, mas o euro ainda não circulava. Cruzar os limites entre Espanha e França pelos Pirineus é como andar entre nuvens. Na altura de ‘La Jonquera’, última cidade na Catalunha, aparece a indicação para Perpinhã.

Cidade francesa localizada nos Pirineus orientais, tem o idioma catalão co-oficial com o francês. Depois, seguimos na direção de Montpellier, lugar milenar na região do Languedoc-Rousillon.

A ideia era explorar a ‘Provence’, fixando base em Marselha, capital administrativa da região da ‘Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur’, segunda maior cidade da França e a mais antiga cidade francesa. É, também, a terceira mais populosa depois de Paris e Lyon. O antigo porto foi transformado em espaço de ócio, com restaurantes, bares e hotéis. O novo porto é o mais importante da frança e um dos mais destacados no mediterrâneo.

A cerca de trinta quilômetros de Marselha, ainda no mediterrâneo, a pequena vila de Cassis tem seus encantos.

Encravada na emblemática Costa Azul, lugar de veraneio de celebridades, consagrado por atrizes como Brigitte Bardot. É curioso como os franceses não abrem mão do seu idioma, principalmente no sul da frança. Dizem que ali possui um sotaque ibérico. Inglês nem pensar. Italiano, um pouco, já que a fronteira com a Itália está a mais ou menos duzentos quilômetros. A vila de Cassis é um encanto.

Outro dia escapamos para visitar Aix-em-Provence, capital histórica da região, com grande apelo universitário e com um patrimônio arquitetônico invejável.

Foi fundada como Aix (Aquae Sextiae) em 123 a. C. pelo cônsul romano Sextius Calvinus, que lhe pôs o nome. Em 102 a. C. teve lugar a Batalha de Aquae Sextae entre tropas romanas sob o comando de Caio Mario, contra tribos invasoras. No século IV foi nomeada capital da ‘Narbonensis Secunda’. Mais tarde, em 477, foi ocupada pelos visigodos. Em 731 foi arrasada pelos árabes. Finalmente, em 1487 passou à Coroa de França. Também foi sede do Parlamento de 1501 a 1793.

Passear pela avenida Mirabeu com seus cafés e restaurantes consiste num prazeroso programa.

A luz incomparável, as paisagens campestres de ‘Aix’ e a alegria de viver do seu povo, serviram de inspiração para as telas de Paul Cézane. Os locais onde o artista viveu podem ser visitados. As cores e os aromas das pequenas feiras e mercados de antiguidades tomam conta das diversas praças da cidade semanalmente aos domingos.

A gastronomia da Provence é colorida e simples, tendo como base produtos frescos. Caças, mariscos, queijos de cabra e legumes são fortes na região.

‘Arles’, cidade onde viveu Van Gogh, e ‘Avignon’, que durante vários anos foi residência dos Papas da igreja católica, foram os destinos seguintes. Mas na semana próxima explico um pouco. Não por nada, mas porque é sempre bom reencontrar o céu azul e a doçura da Provence.

DER DUFT DER PROVENCE

Es war Sommer und die Sonne schien mit all ihrer Intensität. Ihre Strahlen beleuchten endlose blaue Felder, die einen einzigartigen Duft verströmten: den Duft der ‘Provence’.

Ich konnte einen intensiven Duft von Tausenden von Lavendelblüten verspüren, welcher eine ganze Region überzieht. Gerade in dieser Zeit zwischen Juli und August, wenn all die Felder voll von Lavendel in voller Blüte stehen. Es ist wie ein riesiger Garten Frankreichs. Rund um diese blauen und lilafarbenen Felder finden sich alte Schlösser und Burgen, romanischen Kirchen und kleine Dörfer.

Wir hatten eine Route deren Ziel die Stadt Marseille war, am Ufer des Mittelmeers mit seinem historischen Hafen gelegen.

Die Grenzen erlaubten bereits durch den Vertrag von “Schengen” der Europäischen Union den freien Grenzverkehr von Personen, obwohl der EURO nocht nicht in Umlauf war. Das Überschreiten der Grenze zwischen Spanien und Frankreich durch die Pyrenäen ist wie zwischen den Wolken zu Fuß einherschreiten.

Auf der Höhe von ‘La Jonquera’, der letzten Stadt in Katalonien erscheint dann das Hinweisschild nach Perpignan.

Die französische Stadt in den östlichen Pyrenäen hat neben Französisch auch Katalanisch als gemeinsame Amtssprache. Dann geht es weiter in Richtung Montpellier, einem alten Ort in der Region Languedoc-Roussillon.

Die Idee war es, die ‘Provence’ zu erkunden mit Basis in Marseille, der Verwaltungshauptstadt der Region “Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur” und der ältesten französischen Stadt. Es ist auch die drittgrößte Stadt nach Paris und Lyon. Der alte Hafen wurde transformiert in einen Bereich für Freizeit mit Restaurants, Bars und Hotels. Der neue Hafen ist der wichtigste von Frankreich und einer der führenden im Mittelmeer.

Etwa dreißig Kilometer von Marseille liegt auch am Mittelmeer das kleine Dorf Cassis mit seinen Reizen.

Eingebettet in das Aushängeschild Riviera verdankt dieser Sommerferienort seine Berühmtheit Schauspielerinnen wie z.B Brigitte Bardot. Es ist merkwürdig wie die Franzosen nicht von ihrer Sprache abrücken vor allem im Süden von Frankreich. Sie sagen, es habe einen iberischen Akzent. An Englisch ist nicht zu denken. Auch ein wenig Italienisch wird gesprochen, da die Grenze zu Italien nur etwa zweihundert Kilometer entfernt ist. Das Dorf Cassis hat Charme.

An einem weiteren Tag besuchten wir Aix-en-Provence, die historische Hauptstadt der Region mit angesehener Universität und mit seinem beneidenswerten architektonischen Erbe.

Es wurde als Aix (Aquae Sextiae) 123 v. Christ durch den römischen Konsul Sextius Calvinus gegründet, der auch seinen Namen gab. 102 v. Christ fand die Schlacht von Aquae Sextae zwischen römischen Truppen unter dem Kommando Caio Mario gegen eindringende Stämme statt. Im vierten Jahrhundert wurde sie Hauptstadt der „Narbonensischen Secunda”. Später um 477 wurde sie von den Westgoten besetzt. In 731 wurde es von den Arabern zerstört. Schließlich im Jahre 1487 ging sie an die Krone von Frankreich. Es war auch der Sitz des Parlaments von 1501-1793.

Schlendern Sie durch die Allee Mirabeu mit seinen Cafés und Restaurants – ein herrliches Programm. Das unvergleichliche Licht, die Landschaft von “Aix” und die Lebensfreude der Menschen, dienten als Inspiration für die Gemälde von Paul Cézane.

Die Orte, an denen der Künstler gelebt hat, können besichtigt werden. Die Farben und Aromen der kleinen Märkte und Antiquitätenstände sorgen an den verschiedenen Plätzen wöchentlich am Sonntag für eine gediegene Atmosphäre.

Die Küche der Provence ist bunt und einfach basierend auf frischen Produkten. Wild, Meeresfrüchte, Ziegenkäse und Gemüse sind in der Region stark vertreten.

“Arles”, die Stadt wo Van Gogh lebte und ‘Avignon’, die für viele Jahre die Residenz der Päpste der katholischen Kirche war, waren unsere folgenden Ziele. Dazu später mehr.

Es ist immer gut, den blauen Himmel und die Süße der Provence zu entdecken.

THE FRAGRANCE OF THE PROVENCE

It was summer and the sun was shining with all its intensity. Its rays illuminated endless blue fields that exhaled a unique scent: the scent of ‘Provence’.

I could feel an intense smell of thousands of lavender blossoms, covering a whole region. Just in this time between July and August when all the fields are full of lavender in full bloom. It is like a giant garden of France. Around these blue and lilac fields are found old castles, romanesque churches and small villages.

We had a route whose destination was the city of Marseille on the banks of the Mediterranean with its historic harbor. The borders already allowed the free border traffic of persons through the „Treaty of Schengen“ of the European Union, even though the EURO was not in circulation yet. Crossing the border between Spain and France through the Pyrenees was like walking between the clouds on foot.

At the top of ‘La Jonquera’, the last city in Catalonia, the sign for Perpignan appears.

The French city in the eastern Pyrenees has French as well as Catalan as a common official language. Then we continue towards Montpellier, an old town in the Languedoc-Roussillon region.

The idea was to explore the ‘Provence’ with base in Marseille, the administrative capital of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region and the oldest French city. It is also the third largest city after Paris and Lyon. The old port has been transformed into an area for recreation with restaurants, bars and hotels. The new port is the most important of France and one of the leading in the Mediterranean.

About thirty kilometers from Marseille lies the small village of Cassis with its charms also on the Mediterranean.

Nestled in the Riviera this summer holiday resort owes its celebrity actresses such as Brigitte Bardot. It is strange how the French do not move away from their language habits, especially in the south of France. They say it has an Iberian accent. Do not think in English. Also a little Italian, as the border to Italy is only about two hundred kilometers away. The village of Cassis has ist charm.

On another day we visited Aix-en-Provence, the historical capital of the region with a prestigious university and with its enviable architectural heritage.

It was described as Aix (Aquae Sextiae) 123 B.C. Founded by the Roman consul Sextius Calvinus, who also gave his name. 102 B.C. took place the battle of Aquae Sextae between Roman troops under the command Caio Mario against invading tribes. In the fourth century it became the capital of the “Narbonensian Secunda”, later occupied by the Visigoths around 477. It was destroyed by the Arabs in 731. Finally, in 1487, it went to the Crown of France between 1501-1793.

CARNAVAL NA ALEMANHA

Desde criança, quando eu escutava falar de carnaval, somente tinha conhecimento sobre as comemorações de Momo no Brasil, com as grandes celebrações em Salvador, Recife, Olinda, Ouro Preto e claro, no Rio de Janeiro e São Paulo com os desfiles das escolas de samba, principalmente na terra carioca, que atrai milhares de turistas de todo o mundo.

Atualmente, além disso, há também a moda dos blocos de carnaval que animam diversos bairros em várias cidades do Brasil. Foi uma surpresa para mim conhecer um pouco do interessante carnaval na Alemanha. Agora Erich, alemão da gema, vai explicar um pouco como é o carnaval na Alemanha.

O carnaval, também chamado Fastnacht ou Fasching é chamado na Alemanha também como a quinta temporada. Todos os anos em 11.11. exatamente às 11h11 acontece oficialmente a abertura do carnaval. Hoje em dia é um fator econômico considerável como, por exemplo, também no Rio de Janeiro.

Os verdadeiros carnavais de rua da Alemanha, com a sua agitação colorida e com foliões provenientes de todo o mundo começa na quinta-feira. Este ano meu filho Stefano viajou de Viena para Colônia para participar desse evento!

Existe um costume na quinta-feira de carnaval, também chamada Weiberfastnacht (carnaval das mulheres) nas cidades da Renânia, que as mulheres cortam as gravatas dos homens que encontrarem nas ruas, nos escritórios, nos trens… depois de cortarem, elas os compensam com um beijo fraternal, é uma forma de dizer que elas estão no comando da festa. Essa tradição simbólica existe desde 1824.

Na Alemanha, como em muitas outras partes do mundo, as pessoas gostam de se fantasiar, usarem perucas coloridas e/ou máscaras e divertir-se.

Como espectador, você pode sempre cair nas garras dessas figuras / Als Zuschauer kann man jederzeit in die Fänge dieser Gestalten geraten / As a spectator one can get into the catches of these figures at any time

O carnaval, claro, não é apenas celebrado em Colónia, Düsseldorf e Mainz, o chamado Carnaval da Renânia, mas também no sudoeste da Alemanha, Swabia, Baden e partes do Nordeste e da Suíça Central, a chamada Fastnacht Swabian-Alemannic.

Grandes paradas na segunda-feira de Carnaval ocorrem em todas as cidades consideradas grandes polos carnavalescos da Alemanha.

Em Mainz o desfile é o destaque do carnaval, cuja principal característica, é a tendência de se ridicularizar a política. O que você não deve dizer durante o ano, é dito durante o carnaval. Os carros alegóricos são testemunhas da criatividade e garantem o bom humor durante os desfiles.

O Fastnacht Swabian-Alemannic não tem nenhuma semelhança com o carnaval moderno de Rhineland, a não ser o fato das pessoas se fantasiarem. Os trajes e máscaras nessa área são incrivelmente extraordinários.

A única coisa comum nessas duas regiões é o uso de fantasias. Na Rheinland cada ano há sempre inovações, no Fastnacht Swabian-Alemannic, o carnaval é baseado nas antigas tradições que são preservadas, as fantasias e máscaras são passadas de pais para filhos e então para os netos.

Contrário à região da Rhineland, nessa área, não se apresenta uma fantasia nova todo ano – é o oposto! As máscaras são feitas de madeira e são herdadas. Para esse fim, um costume tradicional é combinado, de forma que as pessoas não podem participar dos desfiles de carnaval sem as belas fantasias. Com elas, com os sons e movimentos, as bruxas, os diabos, os críticos e os bobos criam um „real „ cenário de horror bem-intencionado.

O tema geral do carnaval, contudo, é sempre e em toda parte: alegria para todos e tristeza para ninguém!

Em algum lugar, contudo, a mais bela e colorida estação do ano está terminada. Em muitos lugares as bonecas de palha são queimadas e assim, é tempo de se iniciar o jejum da Quaresma, durante 6 semanas, até chegar a Páscoa.

No final, algumas palavras sobre a origem do carnaval: as formas diferentes de carnaval se originam nas tradições pré-históricas da Idade Média.

As máscaras, as pessoas fantasiadas, o ridículo, as críticas às autoridades, a dança, a música, a eliminação de barreiras sociais, a alegria, o excesso nas comidas e bebidas e a expulsão do inverno pré-cristão é o que caracteriza a celebração do carnaval na Alemanha. É o momento de liberação, de comer e beber tudo que se tem direito antes que o jejum sem fim comece!

KARNEVAL IN DEUTSCHLAND

Als Kind, wenn die Rede von Karneval war, kannte ich nur die Festivitäten diesbezüglich in Brasilien wie z.B. in Salvador, Recife, Olinda, Ouro Preto und natürlich in Rio de Janeiro und Sao Paulo mit ihren Paraden der Samba-Schulen, die vor allem in Rio Tausende von Touristen aus der ganzen Welt alljährlich anziehen.

Derzeit entwickeln sich zusätzlich zahlreiche Karnevals-Blöcke, die in vielen Stadtteilen in vielen Städten Brasiliens für Animation sorgen.

Es war eine Überraschung für mich, vieles über den interessanten Karneval in Deutschland kennenlernen zu können. Erich wird nun versuchen, ein wenig den Karneval in Deutschland zu erklären.

Der Karneval, auch Fastnacht oder Fasching genannt wird in Deutschland als die fünfte Jahreszeit bezeichnet. Alljährlich am 11.11. genau um 11.11 Uhr wird überall die Karnevalssession offiziell eröffnet. Heutzutage ein beachtlicher Wirtschaftsfaktor wie z.B. auch in Rio de Janeiro.

Die wirkliche Straβenfasent mit ihrem bunte Treiben auf Straßen und Plätzen mit den vielen verrückten Jecken, die aus der ganzen Welt anreisen, um einmal dieses Spektakel live miterleben zu dürfen, beginnt allerdings erst am Donnerstag vor dem Aschermittwoch.

Darunter dieses Jahr auch wieder mein Sohn Stefano extra aus Wien nach Köln anreisend!

Es kann passieren, dass Ihnen als Mann am Fastnachtsdonnerstag, auch Weiberfastnacht genannt, in den rheinischen Karnevalshochburgen wie z.B. Köln ihre Krawatte abgeschnitten wird, sie aber sofort durch einen freundschaftlichen Kuss entschädigt werden. Diese Tradition geht zurück auf das Jahr 1824.

Die Menschen lieben es, sich zu verkleiden, bunte Perücken oder Masken anzuziehen und sich lustig zu schminken.

Karneval gibt es aber natürlich nicht nur in Köln, Düsseldorf und Mainz, rheinischer Karneval genannt, auch im Südwesten Deutschlands wie im Schwabenland, Baden und Teilen der Nordost– und Zentralschweiz wird ordentlich gefeiert – die schwäbisch-alemannische Fastnacht.

Groβe Rosenmontagsumzüge finden in allen Karnevals-Hochburgen statt. In Mainz ist er der Höhepunkt des Karnevals. Charakteristisch hier der Hang zur Verspottung der Politik. Hier wird all das ausgesprochen, was man sich das ganze Jahr so verkneift. Die Motivwagen zeugen von inspirierender Kreativität und sorgen für gute Stimmung während der Umzüge.

Die schwäbisch-alemannische Fastnacht hat bis auf das Verkleiden keine Ähnlichkeit mit dem modernen rheinischen Karneval. Dabei sind jedoch die Kostüme, Häs und Masken unglaublich außergewöhnlich.

Anders als im Rheinland geht es hier nicht darum, jedes Jahr etwas Neues zu präsentieren – ganz im Gegenteil! Die Masken hier sind zumeist aus Holz gefertigt und werden über Generationen hinweg vererbt.

Dazu wird eine traditionelle Tracht kombiniert, so dass man bei den Umzügen vor lauter schöner Kostüme gar nicht aus dem Staunen herauskommt. Bei diesen traditionsreichen Verkleidungen, ihren Lauten und Bewegungen schaffen es die Hexen, Teufel, Geißenmeckerer und Narros es sogar, uns einen richtigen, aber immer gutgemeinten Schrecken einzujagen.

Das allgemeine Fasnet-Motto jedoch lautet überall und immer: Jedem zur Freud und niemandem zum Leid!

Irgendwann ist aber auch diese schönste und kunterbunte Jahreszeit vorbei. Vielerorts werden dann Strohpuppen verbrannt und läuten somit die 6wöchige Fastenzeit bis Ostern ein.

Zum Schluβ noch ein paar Worte zum Ursprung des Karnevals: Die regional oftmals sehr unterschiedlichen Ausdrucksformen des Karnevals zeigen nach wie vor viele Charakteristika der mittelalterlichen Vorfastenbräuche wie: Maskerade, Rollentausch, Spottlust verbunden mit närrischer Kritik gegen die Obrigkeit, Tanz, Musik, Überwindung gesellschaftlicher Distanzen, Frohgemut, Ausgelassenheit in Essen und Trinken bis hin zur vorchristlichen Wintervertreibung. „Einfach noch einmal richtig essen und trinken bevor die entbehrungsreiche Fastenzeit beginnt!!“.

Wir wünschen nun euch allen eine tolle fünfte Jahreszeit wo auch immer ihr seid und senden ein fröhliches „Kölle Alaaf“ aus Köln!

CARNIVAL IN GERMANY

As a child, when the speech was of carnival I only knew the festivities in Brazil such as in Salvador, Recife, Olinda, Ouro Preto and of course in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo with their parades of Samba schools, which attract thousands of tourists from all over the world every year, especially in Rio.

At the moment there are numerous carnival blocks active in many city districts allover Brazil presenting their animation.

It was a surprise for me to get to know a lot about the interesting carnival in Germany. Erich will now try to explain a little the carnival in Germany.

The carnival, also called Fastnacht or Fasching is called in Germany as the fifth season. Every year on 11.11. exactly at 11.11 AM the carnival session is officially opened. Nowadays it is a considerable economic fator like e.g. in Rio de Janeiro.

The real street carnival with its colorful hustle and bustle on the streets and squares with the crazy fools coming from all over the world to witness this spectacle in live will start on the Thursday before Ash Wednesday. This year also my son Stefano went again from Vienna to Cologne!

It can happen to you as a man on the fastnacht-Thursday, also called Weiberfastnacht (carnival of women), in the rhenish carnival strongholds such as Cologne, that your tie is cut off by women, but this is compensated immediately by a friendly kiss. This symbolic tradition goes back to the year 1824.

People love to dress up, wear colorful wigs or masks and make fun of themselves.

Carnival of course is not only celebrated in Cologne, Düsseldorf and Mainz, the so-called Rhineland Carnival, but also in the south-west of Germany, in Swabia, Baden and parts of Northeast and Central Switzerland, the so-called Swabian-Alemannic Fastnacht.

Large Rose Monday parades take place in all carnival strongholds. In Mainz the parade is the highlight of the carnival. Characteristic here is the tendency to ridicule politics. This is the expression of all that you have to curtail to say during the year. The motive cars bear witness to inspiring creativity and ensure a good mood during the parades.

The Swabian-Alemannic Fastnacht has no similarity with the modern Rhineland carnival apart from the dressing up. But the costumes and masks are incredibly extraordinary.

Contrary to the Rhineland it is not about presenting something new every year – it is quite the opposite! The masks here are usually made of wood and are inherited for generations.

To this end a traditional costume is combined so that one can not get out of the wonders of the parades with their beautiful costumes. With these traditional costumes, their sounds and movements, the witches, devils, goats complainers and fools even create a real but always well-intentioned horror.

The general theme of the Fasnet, however, is always and everywhere: to each one to the joy and to no one to the sorrow!

At some point, however, this most beautiful and colorful season is over. In many places then straw dolls are burnt and thus ring the 6-week fasting time until Easter.

In the end a few words about the origins of the carnival: the often different forms of the carnival are still characteristic of the prehistoric traditions of the Middle Ages. Masquerade, roll exchange, ridicule, narrative criticism against the authorities, dance, music, overcoming social distances, cheerfulness, exuberance in food and drink and the pre-Christian winter expulsion. “Just eat and drink once again before the the unendless long fasting time begins !!”.

10 CIDADES ALEMÃES ESPETACULARES

A Alemanha é um país que possui muitas belezas naturais, um rico patrimônio cultural constituído por importantes monumentos, cidades medievais e cidades com edifícios com arquitetura de vanguarda (exemplo a Casa de Concerto de Hamburgo – Elbphilharmonie Konzerthaus), edificações oriundas de diversos períodos da história, além de um grande acervo de obras de artes distribuídas em muitos interessantes museus e centros culturais.

A Alemanha é também um país onde ocorrem importantes e famosos eventos, como por exemplo, a Feira de Livros de Frankfurt e Leipzig, a Feira Internacional de Turismo, em Berlim, o Salão do Automóvel de Frankfurt – IAA, muitos festivais de vinhos (de âmbito local e regional) e claro, a Oktoberfest, que inspirou eventos semelhantes em diversas partes do mundo. Por ser o país de origem de Erich, sempre visitamos a Alemanha e por isso, tivemos o prazer de conhecer muitas de suas belas cidades.

Com base nessas considerações, elaboramos uma lista com 10 cidades alemães que vale a pena visitar, pois são interessantíssimas! Veja abaixo quais são e o porquê de terem sido eleitas para nossa relação.

Berlim: a cidade atrai turistas do mundo todo devido seus monumentos históricos, por ter implantado projetos urbanísticos muito interessantes, por ter uma vida noturna muito agitada, por ser um centro de efervescência cultural e artística, dentre outros. Desde a reunificação alemã em 1990, Berlim tornou-se um ponto de parada obrigatório para quem aprecia arte e modernidade. Berlim deve certamente ser incluída entre as principais cidades onde ocorrem grandes inovações na Europa (muitas start-ups estão instaladas lá).

Colônia: é uma das cidades mais antigas da Alemanha e tornou-se mundialmente famosa devido a sua Catedral, um dos exemplos mais representativos da arquitetura gótica. Colônia é um relevante centro eclesiástico e é sede de muitas editoras, canais de rádio e televisão. A cidade é famosa também devido seu animado carnaval. Berlim e Düsseldorf disputam nas atrações e animação.

Düsseldorf: tornou-se cidade em 1288, é a capital da Renânia do Norte-Vestefália. É um dos centros culturais e industriais mais importantes do vale do Reno, é considerada a capital da moda da Alemanha. Düsseldorf é uma cidade sofisticada. Dusseldorf é uma cidade moderna que tem um centro histórico com o “maior bar do mundo”. A cidade implantou o projeto de renovação urbana na área portuária conhecida como “MedienHafen”, onde renomados arquitetos (Frank O. Gehry, David Chipperfield, Joe Coenen, Steven Holl and Claude Vasconi) elaboraram projetos arquitetônicos espetaculares.

Deutschland ist ein Land mit vielen Naturschönheiten, einem reichen kulturellen Erbe bestehend aus wichtigen Monumenten, mittelalterlichen Städten und mit Gebäuden der Avantgarde-Architektur (z.B. Hamburg und die Elbphilharmonie), Gebäude aus verschiedenen Epochen der Geschichte sowie große Sammlungen von Kunstwerken in vielen interessanten Museen und Kulturzentren.

Deutschland ist auch ein Land, in dem wichtige und bekannte Events und Messen stattfinden wie z.B. die Buchmesse in Frankfurt, die ITB in Berlin, die jährliche IAA, viele Weinfeste und unzählige Feste lokalen und regionalen Charakters und natürlich, das Oktoberfest, das in verschiedenen Teilen der Welt zu einem ähnlichen Ereigniss inspirierte. Mit Deutschland als das Herkunftsland von Erich besuchen wir es immer wieder und so haben wir das regelmäßige Vergnügen, in den Genuss vieler seiner schönen Städte zu kommen. Auf der Grundlage dieser Besuche stellten wir nun die folgende Liste von 10 besuchenswerten Städten in Deutschland zusammen.

Berlin: Die Stadt zieht Touristen aus der ganzen Welt wegen seiner historischen Monumente an, sie fasziniert durch sehr interessante und innovative urbane Projekte, sie offeriert ein extrem reges Nachtleben, sie widerspiegelt ein sprudelndes Zentrum kulturellen und künstlerischen Schaffens unter v.a. mehr. Seit der deutschen Wiedervereinigung im Jahr 1990 entwickelte sich Berlin zu einer Art Pflichtstopp für all diejenigen, die die Kunst und die die Moderne zu schätzen wissen. Berlin muß durchaus zu den führende Start-up-Metropolen Europas gezählt werden.

Köln: es ist eine der ältesten Städte in Deutschland und wurde weltberühmt wegen seiner Kathedrale, eines der repräsentativsten Beispiele der gotischen Architektur. Köln ist ein wichtiges kirchliches Zentrum und ist auch die Heimat vieler Verlage, Rundfunk- und Fernsehkanäle. Die Stadt ist berühmt für seinen Karneval und steht in fast allen Dingen in permanenter erbitterter Konkurrenz zur sehr nahen Nachbarstadt Düsseldorf.

Düsseldorf: eine Stadt, die im Jahre 1288 gegründet wurde, es ist die Hauptstadt von Nordrhein-Westfalen. Es ist eines der wichtigsten kulturellen und industriellen Zentren des Rheintales und es gilt als die Modehauptstadt Deutschlands. Düsseldorf ist eine moderne Stadt, die über ein historische Zentrum mit der sogenannten „längsten Theke der Welt“ verfügt und sehr innovativen Stadterneuerungsprojekte. Nicht verpassen „der Medienhafen“.

Bremen: eine weitere besondere Stadt in Deutschland, das historische Zentrum offeriert mit den Gebäuden des Rathauses und der wunderschönen Kathedrale wahre Schätze der Architektur. Es ist eine sehr alte Stadt, die mit ihren Anfängen bis zur Zeit Karls des Großen zurückgeht. Jeder, der die Geschichte „Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten“ der Brüder Grimm gelesen hat, wird es genießen, die Stadt besuchen. Berühmt das Viertel “Schnoor”. Bremen war wichtiger Bestandteil der historischen Hanse.

Freiburg: im Süden bekannt als das Eingangstor zum Schwarzwald. Es ist eine sehr alte bekannte Universitätsstadt mit einem attraktiven historischen Zentrum und einem berühmten Münster. Die Stadt stammt aus dem Jahr 1120 und ist ein kulturelles Zentrum, geschäftig auch mit vielen Veranstaltungen. Es ist eingebettet in atemberaubende Landschaften mit vielen Ausflugsmöglichkeiten. Münster: es ist eine Stadt aus dem neunten Jahrhundert und als Mitglied der Hanse sind viele seiner schönen historischen Gebäude charakteristisch für die Stadt, viele von ihnen wurden nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg wieder aufgebaut. Das historische Zentrum von Münster mit seinen Arkaden ist wunderschön, Gebäude aus verschiedenen Epochen. Münster gilt als die Fahrrad-Hauptstadt in Deutschland.

Lübeck: Stadt des Thomas Mann, es war im Mittelalter das wichtigste städtische Zentrum des Ostseebeckens, Lübeck ist gekennzeichnet durch seine unzähligen bekannten roten Backsteinbauten aus der sogenannten “Backsteingotik” kommend. Viele Gebäude wurden nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg neu aufgebaut. Lübeck war ein wichtiger Sitz der Hanse. Lübeck ist weltberühmt für sein Marzipan.

Germany is a country with many natural beauties, a rich cultural heritage consisting of important monuments, medieval cities and buildings of avant-garde architecture (eg Hamburg and the Elbphilharmonie), buildings from different eras of history as well as large collections of works of art in many interesting museums and Cultural centers.

Germany is also a country where important and well-known events and fairs take place, such as „The Frankfurt Book Fair“, the „ITB“ in Berlin, the annual „IAA“, many wine festivals and countless festivals of local and regional character and, of course, the Oktoberfest, which inspired a similar event in different parts of the world. With Germany as Erich’s country of origin, we visit it again and again and so we have the regular pleasure to come to enjoy many of its beautiful cities. On the basis of these visits we now assembled the following list of 10 worth to visit cities in Germany.

Berlin: the city attracts tourists from all over the world because of its historical monuments. It fascinates with very interesting and innovative urban projects, it offers an extremely lively nightlife, it reflects a bubbling center of cultural and artistic creativity among many other things. Since the German reunification in 1990 Berlin has developed into a kind of duty stop for those who appreciate art and modernity. Berlin is nowadays one of the leading start-up cities in Europe.

Cologne: it is one of the oldest cities in Germany and is world famous for its cathedral, one of the most representative examples of Gothic architecture. Cologne is an important church center and is also the home of many publishers, radio and television channels. The city is famous for its carnival and stands in almost all things in permanent fierce competition with the very close neighbor city Düsseldorf.

Düsseldorf: a city that was founded in 1288 is the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is one of the most important cultural and industrial centers of the Rhine Valley and it is considered as the fashion capital of Germany. Düsseldorf is a modern city that has a historical center with the so-called “longest bar in the world” and very innovative urban renewal projects. Do not miss to visit the “Media Harbor”.

Bremen: another special city in Germany, the historical center offers the treasures of architecture with the buildings of the town hall and the beautiful cathedral. It is a very old town. Its origin dates back until the time of Charlemagne. Everyone who has read the fairy tale of “The Bremer Stadtmusikanten” by the Brothers Grimm will enjoy visiting the city. AS PRAIAS DE SYLT: LUGAR DE SILÊNCIO E DE CONTEMPLAÇÃO DA NATUREZA – PARTE 2

O Brasil possui quase 8000 km de praias e com raras exceções, todas elas são públicas. Com base nessa consideração, imagine a minha surpresa ao chegar em Sylt e descobrir que as praias não são públicas. Funciona assim: quando você chega ao hotel, no momento do check in, você recebe cartões (um para cada hóspede), que se assemelha a um cartão de crédito. Esse cartão deve ser apresentado na portaria da praia (sim, a praia tem portaria). O porteiro escaneia o cartão antes de você entrar. Se você não tiver o cartão, então, é necessário comprar o bilhete de entrada no valor de 3,50 Euros.

As praias são muito bem estruturadas. Perto da portaria tem um banheiro público. Usei este banheiro com o propósito de observar sua higiene e fiquei estupefata com o grau de limpeza do mesmo: como é possível um banheiro localizado numa praia sem ter um único grão de areia? Só mesmo na Alemanha…

Na portaria você pode alugar cadeiras de rodas para praia, que é 100% acessível, apesar da areia, das dunas.

Na entrada da praia há sinalização informando se é permitida ou não a entrada de cachorros. Na saída da praia há lugar para lavar os pés, tem cesto de lixo com escovinha para tirar areia de objetos e tem saquinho de lixo para apanhar as fezes dos cachorros.

Você tem a opção de ir para a areia da praia caminhar a beira-mar, alugar uma cadeira de praia de vime, numerada, muito popular na Alemanha, chamada de “Strandkorb”

Ou apenas curtir o visual da praia, sentar ao sol numa espécie de calçadão construído todo em estrutura de madeira (aliás, melhor opção para construção em dunas), como no caso específico da praia de Kampen.

As pessoas visitam a praia no verão e no inverno, somente para estar junto da natureza e apreciar a beleza do mar. As praias de Sylt são lugares silenciosos, de contemplação. São lugares de paz e descanso. Não há vendedores ambulantes, cada um respeita o direito do outro de curtir a natureza.

Brasilien verfügt über 8.000 km Stränden und mit seltenen Ausnahmen sind sie alle öffentlich. Auf Grundlage dieser meiner Erfahrung kann man sich meine Überraschung vorstellen auf Sylt anzukommen und festzustellen, dass die Strände nicht öffentlich sind. Es funktioniert wie folgt: wenn Sie im Hotel ankommen erhalten Sie beim Check-In eine Strand-Karte (eine pro Gast), die einer Kreditkarte ähnelt. Diese Karte muß am Eingang zum Strand präsentiert werden (ja, der Strand hat einen Concierge). Der Portier scannt die Karte ein, bevor Sie zum Strand gehen. Falls Sie über keine Karte verfügen müssen Sie eine Eintrittskarte im Wert von 3,50 € erwerben.

Die Strände sind sehr gut strukturiert. In der Nähe des Concierge ist ein öffentliches Bad. Ich war überwältigt von dessen Hygiene und Sauberkeit: wie ist es möglich, ein Bad an einem Strand ohne ein einziges Sandkorn darin? Nur in Deutschland …

An der Lobby kann man auch Rollstühle für den Strand mieten, die zu 100% strandtauglich sind, trotz der Sanddünen .

Die Menschen besuchen den Strand im Sommer und Winter, nur um nah an der Natur zu sein und um die Schönheit des Meeres zu genießen. Die Strände auf Sylt sind ruhige Orte der Kontemplation. Sie sind Orte der Ruhe und Erholung. Es gibt auch keine Strand-Straßenverkäufer, die diesen Frieden stören.

THE BEACHES OF SYLT: PLACE OF SILENCE AND CONTEMPLATION OF NATURE – PART 2

Brazil has 8,000 km of beaches and, with rare exceptions, they are all public. On the basis of this my experience you can imagine my suprise to arrive on Sylt and to recognize that the beaches are not public. It works as follows: when you arrive at the hotel, you will receive a beach card (one per guest) at the check-in which is similar to a credit card. This card must be presented at the entrance to the beach (yes, the beach has a concierge). The clerk will scan the card before you go to the beach. If you do not have a card, you must purchase an entrance ticket worth € 3.50.

The beaches are very well structured. Near the concierge is a public bath. I was overwhelmed by its hygiene and cleanliness: how is it possible to have a bath on a beach without a single sand grain in it? Only in Germany …

At the lobby there you can also rent wheelchairs for the beach, which are 100% suitable for the beach despite the sand dunes.

People visit the beaches in summer and winter just to be close to nature and to enjoy the beauty of the sea. The beaches on Sylt are quiet places of contemplation. They are places of rest and relaxation. There are also no beach-street vendors that disturb this peace.

SYLT, UMA PÉROLA NO MAR DO NORTE – PARTE I

Sylt integra o conjunto de ilhas Frísias do Norte da Alemanha.

A Ilha de Sylt possui cinquenta por cento de sua área protegida. A planície de maré do Mar Frísio próxima à Ilha de Sylt integrante do Parque Nacional em Schleswig-Holstein está incluído grupo de áreas que estão na lista do Patrimônio Mundial Natural da UNESCO.

A ilha possui belas dunas cobertas de vegetação, algumas com muitas flores, na primavera, e frutos. Sylt com sua beleza tranquila é o paraíso da elite alemã.

A ilha tem a forma de âncora e é ligada ao continente por uma estreita ponte por onde trafegam trens com pessoas e automóveis.

A maior cidade de Sylt é Westland, onde localiza-se a estação de trem, um calçadão extenso, além de uma avenida, a Friedrichstrasse, com muitas lojas e restaurantes.

A ilha possui lugares interessantes, como Kampen, área mais sofisticada com lojas de grife localizadas na Stroenway, o calçadão principal, também conhecido como “alameda do uísque”; Keitum, com suas belas casas com telhado de junco cobertos de hera;

Wenningstedt, onde existem sepulturas da Idade da Pedra e List, situada no extremo norte da ilha, com muitas lojas e restaurantes com espaços com formas especiais que protegem os visitantes do vento. Além disso, List tem também um centro ecológico com exposições sobre o Mar do Norte, o “Erlebniszentrum Naturgewalten”.

Em Salt você pode praticar windsurfe, utilizar os serviços dos spas, cavalgar, caminhar muito (tem caminhos deslumbrantes), pedalar. SYLT, EINE PERLE IN DER NORDSEE – TEIL I

Sylt zählt zu den Nordfriesischen Inseln in Deutschland.

Die Insel Sylt ist zu fünfzig Prozent Umweltschutzbereich. Das Wattenmeer in der Nähe der friesischen Insel Sylt ist Teil des Nationalparks Schleswig-Holstein und aufgelistet als UNESCO-Weltnaturerbe.

Sie gilt als Umweltschutzgebiet aufgrund der Existenz seiner überwucherten Dünen mit vielen Blumen und Früchten im Frühling. Sylt mit seiner ruhigen Schönheit gilt als ein Paradies der deutschen Elite.

Die Insel hat die Form eines Ankers und ist durch eine schmale Brücke mit dem Festland verbunden, auf welcher Autoreisezüge verkehren.

Die größte Stadt auf Sylt ist Westerland, wo sich auch der Bahnhof befindet, eine umfangreiche Promenade und ein Boulevard, die Friedrichstraße, mit vielen Geschäften und Restaurants.

Die Insel offeriert interessante Orte wie z.B. Kampen mit anspruchsvollsten Designerläden in Stroenway, der Promenade, die auch als “Whisky-Mall” bekannt ist; Keitum besticht durch seine schöne reetgedeckten Häuser;

in Wenningstedt gibt es Gräber aus der Steinzeit und List, am nördlichen Ende der Insel, bietet viele Geschäfte und Restaurants an mit sogar speziellen Sitzmöglichkeiten im Freien, die die Besucher vor dem Wind schützen. Darüber hinaus existiert in List auch das ökologische “Erlebniszentrum Naturgewalten” mit Ausstellungen zum Thema Nordsee.

In Salz kann man windsurfen, die Angebote von Heilbädern nutzen, reiten, wandern (tolle Routen) und Rad fahren. Sie können auch Ausflüge auf die Inseln Föhr und Amrum unternehmen und Kolonien von Robben beobachten, zu Fuß auf Algenbetten marschieren oder auch Helgoland besuchen, jene Insel mit dem berühmten Kalksteinfelsen.

Letztendlich kann man sagen, dass Sylt ein gutes Beispiel für eine nachhaltige touristische Entwicklung ist, eine Insel also, wo der Tourismus Hand in Hand mit dem Schutz der Umwelt einhergeht.

SYLT, A PEARL IN THE NORTH SEA – PART I

Sylt is one of the North Frisian Islands in Germany.

The island of Sylt is fifty percent environmental protection area. The „Wattenmeer“(mud flat) near the Frisian island of Sylt is part of the National Park Schleswig-Holstein and listed as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage.

It is considered an environmental protection area due to the existence of its overgrown dunes with many flowers and fruits in spring. Sylt with its quiet beauty is considered a paradise of the German elite.

The island has the shape of an anchor and is connected by a narrow bridge to the mainland, on which carriage trains run.

The largest city on Sylt is Westerland, where the train station is located, an extensive promenade and a boulevard, the Friedrichstrasse, with many shops and restaurants.

The island offers interesting places like: Kampen with the most sophisticated designer shops in Stroenway, the promenade, also known as “Whiskey Mall”; Keitum is distinguished by its beautiful thatched houses; in Wenningstedt there are tombs from the Stone Age and List, at the northern end of the island offers many shops and restaurants with even special outdoor seating that protect visitors from the wind. In addition there is also the ecological “Erlebniszentrum Naturgewalten” (Nature Adventure Center) with exhibitions about the North Sea.

In Salt you can windsurf, use the services of medicinal baths, ride, hiking (great routes) and cycling. You can also take trips to the islands of Föhr and Amrum and observe colonies of seals, walk on algae beds or visit Helgoland, the island with the famous limestone rock.

Ultimately, one can say that Sylt is a good example of a sustainable tourism development, an island where tourism is hand in hand with the protection of the environment.

Viagem até o Cabo Norte na Noruega: rota espetacular!

Foi em um verão, os escandinavos, que não são tão abençoados pelo sol, chamaram de verão do século. Nós começamos a viagem com o nosso pequeno fusca, além de equipamentos para acampar ao longo do caminho sem fim até à extremidade norte da Europa.

Aproximadamente 6000 quilómetros estava à frente de nós, viajamos na direção da Noruega, pela costa, sempre rumo ao norte e na volta, retornamos via Finlândia com seus 1.000 lagos. Algumas das minhas impressões sobre esta longa jornada quero apresentar aqui. A nossa viagem foi a recompensa. Percorrer essa rota era nosso objetivo.

O Sol da meia noite, geleiras, neve, fiordes, O círculo Ártico, renas, montanhas, lagos, florestas, vegetação de tundra e, finalmente, o lendário Cabo Norte são os pilares desta longa jornada espetacular.

É única a sensação de dirigir depois de meia-noite através de belas paisagens, com o sol ainda brilhando e com quase nenhum tráfego e você poder ver as pessoas aparando seu gramado nesse horário ou ainda estarem sentadas com amigos no jardim desfrutando de um churrasco. Você dirige à meia-noite com se estivesse no alto das montanhas, numa altitude de 3.000 metros como nos Alpes, mas, na verdade você está apenas a 600 metros acima do nível do mar ou até menos. Sensacional! No entanto, também conheço a sensação contrária, quando há predominância da falta de luz. Uma vez estive à trabalho em Oslo e Bergen numa semana antes do Natal e foi assim: às 9 horas ainda estava escuro e frio e às 14 horas já estava escuro novamente. Meu corpo e minha mente sentiram uma sensação estranha com a falta de luz natural.

O primeiro destaque nesta viagem foi o Geirangerfjord, é um dos mais famosos fiordes da Noruega e integra, desde julho de 2005, a lista dos bens naturais do Património Mundial da UNESCO. Ele possui cerca de 15 km de comprimento com uma largura que varia entre 0,6 e 1,3 km. São impressionantes as vistas desse lugar, do alto e a partir da água.

Lofoten, um arquipélago de 80 ilhas, localizado à aproximadamente 100 a 300 km ao norte do Círculo Polar Ártico, no Oceano Atlântico, é também fascinante. Eu amei as casas coloridas e a zona campestre, fenomenal.

O próprio Cabo Norte não é tão espetacular, mas após essa longa viagem senti uma esmagadora sensação de estar no ponto mais setentrional da Europa, tendo chegado lá com nosso pequeno fusca e com o sol da meia-noite. E como eu mencionei antes, o caminho era o objetivo…!!

Impressionen auf dem Weg zum Nordkap

Es war in einem Sommer, den die Skandinavier, die ja nicht zu sehr von der Sonne verwöhnt sind, als Jahrhundertsommer bezeichneten. Wir machten uns mit unseren VW plus Ausrüstung zum Campen auf den unendlich langen Weg zum nördlichen Ende Europas.

Etwa 6.000 km lagen vor uns, wir fuhren in Norwegen immer immer weiter gen Norden und über Finnland und seine 1.000 Seen wieder gen Süden. Einige meiner Impressionen auf dieser langen Reise möchte ich hier vorstellen. Unser Weg war das Ziel.

Die Mitternachtssone, Gletscher, Schnee, Fjorde, der Polarkreis, Rentiere, Berge, Seen, Wälder, Tundravegetation und schließlich das legendäre Nordkap sind die Eckpunkte dieser spektakulären langen Reise.

Einzigartig das Gefühl, nach Mitternacht durch wunderschöne Landschaften zu fahren und die Sonne scheint, es ist kaum Verkehr und sie können Menschen beobachten, wie sie um diese Uhrzeit ihren Rasen mähen oder immer noch bei Tageslicht mit Freunden im Garten bei einem BBQ sitzen. Sie fahren auch um Mitternacht durch schneebedeckte Berglandschaften auf gefühlten 3.000m Höhe wie im Hochgebirge in den Alpen, tatsächlich sind es aber nur einmal 600 Meter über dem Meer oder weniger. Genial. Allerdings kenne ich auch das krasse, harte Gegenteil. Ich hatte einmal eine Woche vor Weihnachten in Oslo und Bergen zu tun und es war dann so: um 9 Uhr morgens war es immer noch dunkel und kalt, und um 14 Uhr nachmittags auch schon wieder, einfach deprimierend dieses Defizit an Tageslicht für unseren Geist und Körper!

Das erste Highlight war der Geirangerfjord, er ist einer der bekanntesten Fjorde Norwegens und gehört seit Juli 2005 zum UNESCO-Weltnaturerbe, er ist etwa 15 km lang und seine Breite variiert zwischen 0,6 und 1,3 km. Unbeschreiblich die verschiedenen Ansichten sowohl von hoch oben als auch vom Wasser aus.

Sehr beeindruckend auch die Lofoten, eine Inselgruppe von 80 Inseln etwa 100 bis 300 km nördlich des Polarkreises im Atlantik gelegen. Ich war begeistert von den farbigen Häusern und der Landschaft, phänomenal.

Das Nordkap selbst ist nicht so spektakulär, aber nach der langen Reise ist es schon ein überwältigendes Gefühl am nördlichsten Punkt Europas mit unserem kleinen Volkswagen angekommen zu sein. Am Nordkap und der Mitternachtssonne. Und wie gesagt: der Weg war das Ziel…!!

Impressions on the way to North Cape

It was in a summer, the Scandinavians, who are not too much spoiled by the sun, called it the summer of the century. We started with our small VW plus equipment for camping onto this infinitely long way to the north end of Europe.

Approximately 6000 kilometers lay ahead of us, we went in Norway always always further north and in Finland and its 1,000 lakes south again. Some of my impressions on this long journey I want to present here. Our journey was the goal.

The midnight sun, glaciers, snow, fjords, the Arctic Circle, reindeers, mountains, lakes, forests, tundra vegetation and finally the legendary North Cape are the cornerstones of this spectacular long journey.

Uniquely, the feeling of driving after midnight through beautiful landscapes and the sun is still shining, there is hardly any traffic and you can watch people as they mow their lawn at this time or are still sitting in daylight with friends in the garden with a BBQ. You drive at midnight through snowy mountain scenery on perceived 3.000m as at high altitudes in the Alps, in fact you are on only 600 meters above sea level or even less. Brilliant. However, I also know the strong, tough contrary. I once had some work to do a week before Christmas in Oslo and Bergen, and it was like this: at 9 am it was still dark and cold, and by 2 pm already again, it was simply a very strange sensation for me this lack of natural light for my mind and body!

The first highlight on this trip was the Geirangerfjord, it is one of the most famous fjords of Norway and is since July 2005 an UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is about 15 km long and its width varies between 0.6 and 1.3 km. Very impressive the different views of both from high above and from the water.

Very impressive also the Lofoten, an archipelago of 80 islands about 100 to 300 km north of the Arctic Circle in the Atlantic Ocean. I loved the colorful houses and the countryside, phenomenal.

The North Cape itself is not that spectacular, but after the long journey there is this overwhelming feeling to be at the northernmost point of Europe. Having arrived at the North Cape and its midnight sun. And as I mentioned before, the way was the goal…!!

Mountsandel Wood, um mar de verde na Irlanda

Estamos em Coleraine há cerca de 88 quilometros de Belfast, a maior cidade da Irlanda do Norte. Mountsandel Wood fica a aproximadamente dez minutos de caminhada daqui da casa de Bruce, na Avenida Nursery.

A floresta é também o mais antigo registro da presença do homem na Irlanda, entre 7900 e 7400 a.C. Sítio arqueológico onde ferramentas foram encontradas indicando marcas da Idade da Pedra, assim como um forte do tempo dos Normandos, Mountsandel encanta pela beleza natural assim como pela riqueza de informação que é possível apreender ao visitar esse destino não obrigatoriamente turístico mas provavelmente o resultado de uma estada mais prolongada, conduzidos pelas mãos de algum morador da região, como no meu caso.

As margens do Rio Bann, o verde, como podemos ver nas fotos, é exuberante em toda a área e precisamos de algum tempo para começar a diferenciar as inúmeras tonalidades da vegetação e ver tudo com mais nitidez. Inicialmente a experiência nos faz acreditar que estamos dentro de um mar verde, sem maiores detalhes. Paciência e paixão por fotografia ajudam a ver melhor que um visitante comum, esse lugar especial.

Der Wald Mountsandel Wood – ein grünes Meer in Irland

Wir sind in Coleraine, etwa 88 Kilometer (von der Hauptstadt) von Belfast entfernt, der größten Stadt in Nordirland. Der Wald Mountsandel Wood ist etwa zehn Minuten zu Fuß entfernt von Bruce´s Haus in der Nursery Avenue.

Der Mischwald belegt durch früheste Aufzeichnungen die Anwesenheit des Menschen in Irland zwischen 7600 und 7900 vor Christus. Ein archäologischer Fundort zeigt Befunde aus der Steinzeit, eine Befestigungsanlage belegt die Anwesenheit der Normannen. Mountsandel verzaubert durch natürliche Schönheit sowie die Fülle von Informationen. Durch einen längeren Aufenthalt und durch die Mithilfe eines Einheimischen wie in meinem Falle kann vieles mehr über diese Region gelernt werden.

Auch die Ufer des Flusses „Bann“, so wie wir es auf den Fotos sehen können, so grün und üppig wie die ganze Gegend, und wir brauchen etwas Zeit, um die vielen Schattierungen der Vegetation unterscheiden und alles klar sehen zu können. Zunächst macht uns die Erfahrung glauben, dass wir uns in einem grünen Meer befinden ohne weitere jegliche Details. Die Geduld und Leidenschaft für die Fotografie helfen jedoch sehr, diesen besonderen Ort besser zu sehen als ein gewöhnlicher Besucher.

Here we are in Coleraine about 55 miles from Belfast, the chief city of Northern Ireland. Mountsandel Wood is about 10 minutes by foot from Bruce’s house at Nursery Avenue.

Budapeste – uma cidade nas margens do rio Danúbio

Budapeste é a capital da Hungria localizada às margens do rio Danúbio.Com cerca de 1,7 milhões de habitantes, Budapeste não é apenas a maior cidade da Hungria, mas também semelhante em tamanho e em comparação com Viena e Praga. Estas cidades têm uma grande variedade comparável de atrações e também tem a mesma bela arquitetura.

Dentre as atrações de Budapeste, pode-se citar o famoso edifício do Parlamento, o terceiro maior do mundo, a Ópera Estatal, o Castelo de Buda e a Praça dos Heróis. Além disso, a montanha Gellert é um destino atraente para os turistas e locais, uma vez que oferece uma vista fabulosa. Desfrutar de um cruzeiro pelo rio Danúbio vale muito a pena, pois existem muitos atrativos que estão localizados nas margens desse rio e além disso, um passeio pelo rio oferece uma vista para as várias pontes de Budapeste, sendo a mais famosa, o “Chain Bridge”.

Budapeste tem muitos teatros, cinemas e museus, que fazem o coração dos amantes de cultura bater mais rápido. Há também muitas lojas, restaurantes e bares. Não deixe de visitar o mercado municipal no centro, um paraíso cheio de iguarias húngaras como a sopa goulash, goulash, páprica, salames, além do famoso Tokaj, um dos vinhos mais significativos e tradicionais do mundo. Outra atração são Termas Szechenyi, uma das maiores da Europa.

Como outra alternativa, você pode visitar o spa localizado no hotel Gellert. Ele é muito bem decorado com móveis Art Nouveau, mosaicos artísticos, vitrais e esculturas.

Cerca de 20 km de Budapeste, vale a pena visitar a pequena cidade pitoresca de Szentendre.

Quem se encantou com a beleza de Budapeste e tem tempo, não esqueça de visitar Praga e Viena. Não só por causa dos pontos turísticos ricos semelhantes, mas também por causa das curtas distâncias entre elas, é ideal aproveitar a viagem e visita-las. Uma experiência única, uma visita a Budapeste, Viena e Praga, em uma viagem, as capitais de três países …

Die Donaumetropole Budapest ist die Hauptstadt Ungarns. Mit knapp 1,7 Millionen Einwohnern ist Budapest nicht nur die größte Stadt Ungarns, sondern auch ähnlich groß im Vergleich zu Wien und Prag. Diese Städte haben auch ein vergleichbar großartiges Angebot an Sehenswürdigkeiten und haben zudem die gleiche wunderschöne Architektur.

Zu den größten Sehenswürdigkeiten Budapests zählen u.a. das berühmte Parlamentsgebäude, das drittgrößte weltweit, die Staatsoper, der Burgpalast und der Heldenplatz. Des Weiteren ist der Gellertberg in Budapest ein attraktives Ausflugsziel für Touristen und Einheimische, da dieser ein fabelhaftes Panorama bietet. Das Donauufer ist ebenfalls eine Besichtigung wert, da an diesem einige sehr lohnenswerte Sehenswürdigkeiten gelegen sind und zugleich einen Blick auf die verschiedenen Brücken Budapests gewährt, die berühmteste hierbei die „Kettenbrücke“. Eine Bootsfahrt entlang der Donau bietet wunderschöne Ausblicke.

Budapest ist sehr reich an Theatern, Lichtspielhäusern und Museen, welche die Herzen eines jeden Kulturbegeisterten höherschlagen lassen. Ebenfalls bietet Budapest zahlreiche Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants und Bars. Verpassen Sie es nicht, die Markthalle im Zentrum zu besuchen, ein Paradies voll mit ungarischen Köstlichkeiten, voran Paprika, Zwiebeln, Salami, Gulaschsuppe, Gulasch und der berühmte Tokajer, einer der bedeutenden und traditionsreichen Weine der Welt. Empfehlenswert auch die Szechenyi Thermen zu den größten in Europa zählend. Oder besuchen Sie alternativ das Spa im berühmten Hotel Gellert. Es ist sehr schön mit Jugendstil-Möbeln, künstlerischen Mosaiken, Glasfenstern und Skulpturen dekoriert.

Etwa 20 km von Budapest lohnt es sich, das kleine malerische Städtchen Szentendre zu besuchen.

Wer sich von der Schönheit Budapests verzaubern lässt und genügend Zeit mitbringt, sollte unbedingt auch Prag und Wien besuchen. Nicht nur aufgrund der ähnlich reichhaltigen Sehenswürdigkeiten, sondern auch wegen der geringen Entfernungen voneinander lassen sich ein Besuch von Budapest, Wien und Prag gut miteinander verbinden und zu einem einzigartigen Erlebnis werden lassen. Eine Reise und die Hauptstädte dreier Länder auf einen Schlag…!!

The Danube metropolis Budapest is the capital of Hungary. With nearly 1.7 million inhabitants, Budapest is not only the largest city in Hungary, but also similar in size compared to Vienna and Prague. These cities have a comparable great range of attractions and also have the same beautiful architecture.

One of the biggest attractions of Budapest include the famous Parliament building, the third largest worldwide, the State Opera, the Buda Castle and the Heroes’ Square. Furthermore, the Gellert hill in Budapest is an attractive destination for tourists and locals, as it offers a fabulous panorama. The Danube is also a visit worth, because there are some very worthwhile attractions located and also offers a view onto the various bridges of Budapest, the most famous one, the “Chain Bridge”. Whenever possible enjoy a river cruise on the Danube.

Budapest is full of theaters, cinemas and museums, which make the heart of every culture enthusiasts beat faster. Also Budapest has lots of shops, restaurants and bars. Do not miss to visit the market hall in the center, a paradise full of Hungarian delicacies, the worldfamous red paprika, salami sausages, goulash soup, goulash and the famous Tokaj, one of the very significant and traditional wines of the world. Recommended to visit the Szechenyi Thermal Baths one of the largest in Europe. Or alternatively you visit the Spa in the famous hotel Gellert. It is very well decorated with Art Nouveau furnishings, artistic mosaics, stained glass windows and sculptures.

About 20 km from Budapest, it is worthwhile to visit the small picturesque town of Szentendre.

Who can be enchanted by the beauty of Budapest and brings plenty of time not forget to visit Prague and Vienna. Not only because of the similar rich sights, but also because of the short distances between them it is ideal to combine them. A localização fantástica de Passau atrai muitos turistas nacionais e estrangeiros todos os anos. A indústria de cruzeiros que navegam pelos rios desempenha um papel importante na economia local.

Cerca de 2000 curzeiros navegam nos três rios todos os anos. Vale a pena mencionar também a famosa ciclovia Inn e Donau, onde muitos dos turistas que chegam a Passau de bicicleta têm a capital austríaca, Viena, como seu objetivo.

A localização entre os três rios causou graves inundações e a que ocorreu em 2013 alcançou a marca histórica de 12,89 metros acima do nível do mar – foi o chamada a “enchente do milênio”.

Nós chegamos a Passau de trem. A cidade velha em si vale a pena visitar, há atrações interessantes que vale a pena visitar a pé e de barco.

Na cidade velha há também muitos becos estreitos, que convidam você para passeios e sempre você se depara com um dos rios e então você diz: de novo…??

A Catedral St. Stephan é fascinante com os edifícios barrocos nos arredores. Possuí uma acústica incrível, além de um dos maiores órgãos do mundo.

Do navio você pode ver belas vistas da cidade velha, as torres, do Veste Oberhaus, antiga fortaleza situada do lado esquerdo do Danúbio, (em frente a cidade velha de Passau), e, claro, a confluência dos três rios que tornam Passau tão famosa.

Passau está localizada muito próxima da Áustria. Portanto, se você visitar a “cidade dos três rios”, não perca a oportunidade de visitar a Áustria. Divirta-se…!!

PASSAU – THE THREE RIVERS CITY

The fantastic location of the Dreiflüssestadt attracts a lot of domestic and foreign tourists every year, the river cruise industry now plays an important role.
