Nova Iorque, dinâmica e efervescente

Nova Iorque é uma cidade multicultural, com uma população aproximada de 8 milhões de habitantes, que atrai milhares de visitantes anualmente.

A cidade é constituída por cinco distritos, sendo que 4 estão localizados em ilhas (Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens e Manhattan) e um no continente, que é o distrito do Bronx. Manhattan concentra a maior quantidade de atrações turísticas.

Os turistas chegam em busca de conhecer os muitos atrativos que a cidade oferece. Uma coisa é clara: você não vai conseguir conhecer tudo. Portanto, pesquise antes de viajar e escolha o que você quer visitar durante sua estadia por lá. Shows na Brodway? Museus? Fazer compras? Ver a cidade do alto?

São tantas as opções de entretenimento. Se você se interessa por shows, exposições de arte, fique atento, compre os ingressos antes. Considere que sempre há muita gente e filas. Nova Iorque é definitivamente uma cidade cara, mas encantadora.

Manhattan tem 3 grandes áreas: Uptown (ou Upper Manhattan), Downtown (ou Lower Manattan) e Midtown, que é a área central. Erich e eu optamos por nos hospedar no centro, na Midtown e de lá passeamos pela cidade de ônibus (New York Hop-On, Hop-Off Bus), de barco (incluído no ticket do ônibus) e também a pé, foi uma forma que encontramos para fazer nossa atividade física diária e conhecer a cidade. Aliás, caminhar em Nova Iorque é um grande programa para ver as surpresas que a cidade oferece. A cidade é cosmopolita, multicultural, há uma grande diversidade de raças nas ruas de Nova Iorque.

Nova Iorque é uma cidade plana e tem um traçado urbano ortogonal, onde as grandes avenidas e ruas são denominadas por números, como por exemplo, a famosa Quinta Avenida. É fácil se orientar nas ruas de Nova Iorque. Aliás, é na Quinta Avenida onde estão localizadas as grandes e famosas lojas, como a Apple, Louis Vuitton, dentre outras. O pulmão verde da cidade é o Central Park, circundado por edifícios, cujo metro quadrado e muito valorizado.

Existem programas clássicos para quem visita a cidade pela primeira vez: Broodway, Times Square (Dica: visite a Times Square ao entardecer quando está bem movimentada, então é só curtir),

Empire State Building, (existe outro edifício, mais alto que o Empire e é muito visitado, trata-se do Rockfeller Center onde está localizado o Top on the Rock), Ground Zero, Ponte do Brooklin,

de onde você tem uma vista arrebatadora da Ilha de Manhattan.

Dentre os locais que eu visitei, o que mais me emocionou foi o Ground Zero, local das Torres Gêmeas, onde está localizado o memorial às vítimas do atentado de 11 de setembro.

Nessa área, há também a nova estação de metrô, chamada World Trade Center (PATH),

com um salão oval chamado Oculus.O projeto da estação é do arquiteto espanhol Santiago Calatrava. O local é espetacular, o edifício é todo branco e quando você entra, tem uma exposição chamada “UP CLOSE Michelangelos Sistine Chapel” no centro. Definitivamente recomendo visitar essa área.

Outro passeio interessante, é passear na High Line Park, uma sugestão para quem gosta de caminhar e apreciar a natureza.

Um programa bem legal em Nova Iorque é curtir um bar no topo de algum edifício, como o bar Le Bain, onde você pode ver o entardecer e as luzes da cidade se acenderem. Dica: o Le Bain fica próximo ao High Line.(Atenção: alguns desses cafés e bares podem estar reservados para eventos privados durante o fim de semana).

Nova Iorque é definitivamente uma cidade para ser visitada várias vezes, cada vez você vai descobrir algo novo, aproveitar para ver algo que você não viu da última vez. Eu, com certeza, já tenho minha listinha para a próxima viagem.

New York ist eine multikulturelle Stadt mit einer Bevölkerung von etwa 8 Millionen, die Tausende von Besuchern alljährlich anzieht.

Die Stadt besteht aus fünf Bezirken, von denen vier auf Inseln (Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens und Manhattan) und einer auf dem Festland, die Bronx, befindet. Manhattan ist die Heimat vieler Touristenattraktionen.

Die Touristen kommen der vielen Attraktionen wegen, die die Stadt bietet. Eines ist klar: Sie werden nie alles sehen. Also recherchieren Sie, was Sie während Ihres Aufenthalts dort besuchen möchten. Brodway? Museen Einkaufen? Die Stadt von oben?

Es gibt so viele Unterhaltungsmöglichkeiten. Wenn Sie an Shows, Kunstausstellungen interessiert sind, kaufen Sie die Tickets bevor. Denken Sie daran, überall sind immer viele Leute und Warteschlangen. New York ist definitiv eine teure, aber charmante Stadt.

Manhattan teilt sich auf in 3 große Bereiche: Uptown (oder Upper Manhattan, Downtown (oder Lower Manattan) und Midtown.

Erich und ich entschieden uns, in Midtown in der Innenstadt unser Hotel zu nehmen und von dort aus mit dem Hop-On/Hop-Off Bus, mit dem Schiff (im Busticket enthalten) und v.a. zu Fuß (unser tägliches Fitnessprogramm) New York zu erkunden. Die Stadt ist kosmopolitisch, multikulturell und in den Straßen sind eine Vielfalt an Nationalitäten unterwegs.

New York ist eine flache Stadt und hat eine orthogonale städtische Gestaltung, wo die großen Boulevards und Straßen nummeriert sind, wie z.B. die berühmte Fifth Avenue, wo sich all die großen Marken und berühmten Läden wie Apple, Louis Vuitton usw. befinden. Die Orientierung in der Stadt fällt einem leicht.

Die grüne Lunge der Stadt ist der Central Park, umgeben von Gebäuden mit exorbitant hohen Quadratmeterpreisen.

Es gibt die klassischen Programme für alle, die die Stadt zum ersten Mal besuchen: Broadway, Times Square,

Freiheitsstatue,

das Empire State Building oder einen der anderen berühmten Wolkenkratzer, das Ground Zero und die Brooklyn Bridge

mit dann herrlichem Blick auf Manhattan.

Unter den Orten, die ich besuchte, bewegte mich am meisten der Ground Zero, die Gedenkstätte für die Opfer der Attentate vom 11. September.

In diesem Bereich befindet sich auch die neue U-Bahnstation “World Trade Center” (PATH) mit einer Ovalhalle namens Oculus.

Das Projekt der Station ist vom spanischen Architekt Santiago Calatrava. Der Ort ist einfach spektakulär, das Gebäude ist ganz weiß und wenn man es betritt, offeriert es eine Ausstellung namens “UP CLOSE Michelangelos Sistine Chapel” im Zentrum. Ein Besuch dieser U-Bahnstation ist absolut empfehlenswert.

Eine weitere sehr interessante Tour ist es, auf der High Line zu schlendern, ein Vorschlag für all diejenigen, die gerne spazieren gehen und ein „biβchen“ Natur genießen wollen.

Ein weiteres „cooles“ Programm in New York ist es, eine der vielen Bars auf einem der vielen hohen Gebäude zu genießen, wie z.B. die Bar Le Bain, wo man den Sonnenuntergang beobachten kann und die Lichter der Stadt. (Achtung: manche dieser Cafes und Bars können am Wochenende nur für private Events zugänglich sein)

Tip: bei Dämmerung und Dunkelheit ist auf und rund um den Times Square immer viel los, einfach eintauchen.

New York ist definitiv eine Stadt, die ganz einfach mehrmals besucht werden kann und jedes Mal können ganz neue Dinge entdeckt werden.

Ich jedenfalls habe sicherlich schon meine Liste für die nächste Reise nach NEW YORK.

New York is a multicultural city with a population of about 8 millions which attracts thousands of visitors annually.

Tourists come to visit the many attractions that the city offers. One thing is clear: you will never see all. So research what you want to visit during your stay there. The Brodway, museums, shopping? The city from above?

There are so many entertainment possibilities. If you are interested in shows, art exhibitions buy the tickets before. Remember, everywhere are always lots of people and queues.

New York is definitely an expensive but charming city.

Manhattan is divided into 3 major areas: Uptown (or Upper Manhattan, Downtown (or Lower Manattan) and Midtown.

Erich and I decided to take our hotel in Midtown in the city center and exploring from there the City by using the hop-on / hop-off buses, the boat (included in the bus ticket) and a lot by walking, our daily fitness program. The city is cosmopolitan, multicultural and you see a variety of many different nationalities in the streets.

New York is a flat city and has an orthogonal urban design where the large boulevards and streets are numbered like for example the famous Fifth Avenue, where all the great brands and famous shops such as Apple, Louis Vuitton, etc. are located. The orientation in the city is therefore very easy.

The green lung of the city is the Central Park surrounded by buildings with exorbitantly high square meter prices.

There are the classic programs for those who visit the city for the first time: Broadway, Times Square,

Statue of Liberty,

the Empire State Building or one of the other famous skyscrapers, Ground Zero and the Brooklyn Bridge

and then a magnificent view of Manhattan.

Very much touching to me was the Ground Zero, the memorial for the victims of the assassinations of September 11.

In this area is also located the new subway station “World Trade Center” (PATH) with an oval hall called Oculus.

The project of the station was done by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. The place is simply spectacular, the building is white and when you enter it it offers an exhibition called “UP CLOSE Michelangelo Sistine Chapel” in the center. A visit to this subway station is absolutely recommendable.

Another very interesting tour is to stroll along the High Line, a suggestion for all those who like to walk and even enjoy a “bit of nature”.

Another ‘cool’ program in New York is to enjoy one of the many bars on one of the many high buildings like for example the bar Le Bain where you can watch the sunset and the lights of the city. (Attention: some of these cafes and bars might be open for private events only during the weekend)

Tip: Stay at dusk and darkness on and around the Times Square, it is always busy, just dive into this atmosphere.

New York is definitely a city that can easily be visited several times and every time new things can be discovered.

I certainly have already made my list for the next trip to NEW YORK.

Glaciar Hubbard no Alasca, dramático e inesquecível

O Alasca é o maior estado pertencente aos Estados Unidos e está localizado no noroeste da América do Norte e tem parte de seu território cortado pelo Círculo Polar Ártico.

Para você ter uma ideia do tamanho do Alasca, sua área corresponde a 4 estados da California e 12 Nova Iorques!!!!!A capital do Alasca é Anchorage.

Quando eu pensava no Alasca, logo imaginava um lugar cheio de neve e muito frio. Por isso, pensei que nunca ia ter coragem de visitar tal destino. Muitos amigos também imaginam o Alaska assim. Porém, o Alaska também tem verão e é a época do ano mais visitada por turistas, que procuram esse destino para estar próximo à natureza e conhecer as belezas do lugar viajando de navio, são os “turistas de cruzeiro”, pois uma das melhores formas de conhecer as belezas naturais do Alaska é através de uma viagem de cruzeiro.

O acesso para muitos lugares é feito somente por navio e avião. Há também pessoas que viajam até o Alasca para verem o fenômeno da Aurora Boreal, que ocorre no período entre o final de agosto e abril . No nosso caso, Erich e eu decidimos por fazer uma viagem de cruzeiro pelo Alasca que durou sete dias, sendo que nessa semana, dois dias foram “cruzeiro cênico”, quando o navio não para em nenhum porto e você navega por lugares fascinantes.Foi no primeiro dia do cruzeiro cênico, que conheci o Glaciar Hubbard.

Erich e eu fomos para o deque sete do navio (a embarcação tinha 16 deques) e esperamos para chegar no Hubbard Glacier. A medida que fomos nos aproximando, observei que o mar, nesse caso, o Oceano Pacífico estava pontilhado por pedaços de gelo, pequenos icebergs, que se despreenderam do glaciar e ficaram boiando na superfície da água. Alguns eram totalmente brancos, outros eram mesclados com partes marrom, vestígios das rochas que foram arrancadas no processo de formação do glaciar.

Fomos nos aproximando do Glacier Hubbard lentamente. A visão do mesmo é dramática e estonteante. Ele resplandece numa tonalidade mesclada entre o branco, o azul e partes escurecidas. A visão é espetacular. Além da visão do mesmo, é possível escutar o estrondo de partes que se despreendem e caem no mar.

A imagem do Glaciar Hubbard no Alasca é um das visões mais impressionantes que a mãe natureza nos oferece. É uma verdadeira maravilha!

Considero inquestionável a contribuição das viagens para a obtenção de conhecimentos em diversas áreas, entre as quais: geografia, história, cultura, gastronomia, dentre outras. Erich e eu tivemos a oportunidade de conhecer diferentes comidas ao longo de nossas andanças pelo mundo.

Nesse post, gostaria de compartilhar com vocês alguns dos alimentos que encontrei por aí, que eu comi e gostei. Há outros que vi e que não tive coragem suficiente para experimentar um pouquinho. Há outras comidinhas que comi, gostei e pretendo comer novamente, se houver oportunidade.

É importante dizer que sou uma pessoa que na minha vida rotineira procuro me alimentar de comidas saudáveis e poucos calóricas. Porém, quando viajo, deixo de lado a rigidez do meu dia a dia e me deixo levar pela curiosidade e pelo prazer que uma boa gastronomia oferece, afinal uma viagem é para a gente mudar a rotina, vivenciar novas experiências, enfim aproveitar a vida sem grandes restrições…

Um aspecto é importante de ressaltar, há alimentos que fazem parte da nossa vida e que, quando viajamos, ficamos com saudades deles… no caso de Erich, como alemão, ele sente falta de algumas comidinhas alemães que não estão disponíveis por aqui.

Bom, vamos as comidinhas que encontrei por aí e as que Erich e eu gostamos muito e queremos ter o prazer de tê-las na nossa mesa novamente:

Ceviche

É um prato da culinária originalmente peruana feito com peixe cru marinado em limão. Comemos em Cartagena, Colômbia.

Dumplings

Parece com um ravióli, pode ter vários recheios e podem ser cozidos no vapor, na água ou até mesmo fritos. Foi oferecido no café da manhã e jantar em Pequim, China.

Alheira

É um tipo de salsicha típica de Portugal, com carne, alho, azeite, pão e outros ingredientes. Tivemos o prazer de comer a alheira em Porto, Portugal.

Fleischkäse ou Leberkäse

Comidinha que Erich sente saudade e que até agora não conseguiu encontrar no Brasil É típico de algumas regiões da Alemanha. É vendido em quiosques e padarias em muitas cidades.

Fondue de queijo em Zurich: foi inesquecível a primeira vez que comi fondue de queijo. Eu estava em Zurich, estava muito frio e aquele alimente quente com um bom vinho, tornou-se um dos momentos que eu não esqueço.

Comida japonesa

Os japoneses são famosos pela tradição, pela organização, pela delicadeza de sua arte. Na comida também é assim. Uma mesa preparada para um almoço no Japão destaca-se pela beleza e sabores. Erich e eu tivemos oportunidade de degustarmos um almoço assim em Nagasaki.

Vi, mas não encarei…

Tem comidas também que eu só vi, mas não tive coragem suficiente de degustá-la. O espetinho de escorpião e serpentes são alguns dos exemplos.

Tapioca

É uma comidinha que sinto saudades quando viajo. Desde criança faz parte do meu cardápio. Outra comidinha especial para mim é o casaquinho de caranguejo. O primeiro somente aprecio quando como aqui em Natal ou no Alto da Sé em Olinda. O segundo, amo o casquinho de um restaurante bem conhecido aqui em Natal.

Comida grega

Erich ama a comida grega, aqui no Brasil é difícil de encontrar um restaurante com especialidades helênicas. Por isso, aproveitamos para saboreá-la quando viajamos.

A Alsácia tem uma gastronomia rica, além de uma grande variedade de vinhos e queijos. É uma região que pretendemos voltar lá somente para nos deliciarmos com os prazeres da mesa.

Arepas de queso: vendidas nas ruas de Cartagena,os ingredientes principais são farinha de milho para polenta e queijo, simplesmente deliciosas!

Francesinha: comida encontrada na cidade de Porto,feita com uma mistura de carnes, linguiça, além de outros ingredientes. Erich achou inesquescível!

SPEZIELLE GERICHTE und Snacks WELTWEIT

Es ist unbestritten, daβ das „REISEN“ bildet und zwar in den unterschiedlichsten Bereichen wie Geographie, Geschichte, Kultur, Gastronomie usw. Erich und ich haben und hatten die Gelegenheit, auf unseren Reisen um die Welt auf verschiedenste typische Gerichte zu stoβen.

In diesem Beitrag möchte ich Ihnen einige Gerichte vorstellen, die ich gegessen und auch genossen habe. Es gibt andere, die ich gesehen habe, aber dann nicht den Mut aufbrachte, sie zu versuchen.

Es gibt Leckerbissen, die ich genossen habe und wieder essen werde wann immer sich die Gelegenheit hierzu ergeben wird.

Es ist wichtig, an dieser Stelle zu sagen, dass ich in meinem Alltag versuche, auf gesunde Ernährung und die Anzahl der Kalorien zu achten. Aber wenn ich reise ignoriere ich dies und lasse mich von der Neugier und Freude auf die neue und gute Gastronomie leiten, soll kurz gesagt heissen, das Leben genießen ohne größere Einschränkungen…

Es ist wichtig, auf einen Aspekt hinzuweisen, es gibt nämlich Lebensmittel, die einen Teil unseres Lebens ausmachen und die wir manchmal vermissen, wenn wir reisen, so im Fall von Erich als Deutscher, der einige typische deutsche Gerichte vermisst, da sie hier nicht zur Vetrfügung stehe.

Nun hier also die kleinen Leckerbissen, die wir hier und dort so vorgefunden und genossen haben und wir nun mit Vergnügen vorstellen wollen.

Ceviche (wir genossen dies in Caratagena/Kolumbien)

Es ist ein ursprüngliches peruanisches Gericht mit in Zitrone mariniertem rohem Fisch.

Dumplings (wir genossen dies in China)

Es sieht aus wie Ravioli mit verschiedenen Füllungen und wird gedämpft oder gebraten angeboten.

Alheira (wir genossen dies in Porto/Portugal)

Es ist eine Art typische Wurst in Portugal, gemacht mit verschiedenen Fleischsorten, Knoblauch, Olivenöl, Brot und anderen Zutaten.

Fleischkäse (Deutschland/Österreich/Schweiz)

Ein sehr einfacher Snack, den Erich hier in Brasilien sehr vermisst und bislang nicht finden konnte. Er findet sich in vielen Kiosken, Bäckereien und Schnellinbissen.

Käsefondue (genossen in Zürich/Schweiz)

Es ist unvergesslich, es war das erste Mal, dass ich Käse-Fondue gegessen habe. Ich war in Zürich, es war sehr kalt und ein heißes Essen mit einem guten Wein, es ist einer der Momente, den ich nie vergessen werde.

Japanisches Essen (genossen in Nagasaki/Japan)

Die Japaner sind bekannt für Tradition, die Organisation, die Feinheit seiner Kunst. Im Essen ist es auch so. Ein Tisch für das Mittagessen in Japan zeichnet sich durch seine Schönheit und Aromen aus. Erich und ich hatten die Gelegenheit ein vorzügliches Mittagessen in Nagasaki zu geniessen.

Es gibt auch Snacks, die ich nur gesehen habe, aber nicht genug Mut hatte, sie auszuprobieren. Die Skorpionen-Spieße und Schlangen sind nur einige der Beispiele hierfür in CHINA.

Tapioca

Tapioka ist ein Essen, das ich vermisse, wenn ich reise. Seit meiner Kindheit ein Teil meiner Speisekarte.

Eine weiterer besonderer Snack für mich ist dieser Krabbenauflauf besonders hier in Natal in einem sehr bekannten Restaurant oder in Alto da Sé in Olinda.

Griechisches Essen

Erich liebt griechisches Essen, aber hier in Brasilien ist es sehr schwer, ein Restaurant mit griechischen Spezialitäten zu finden. So nutzen wir immer die Gelegenheit, es auf Reisen zu geniessen.

Speisen und Getränke der Region Elsass in FRankreich

Das Elsass offeriert fantastische Gerichte, eine große Auswahl an Käsen und Weinen. Es ist eine Region, wo es sich lohnt, neben dem Ambiente und den Sehenwürdigkeiten sich all den erdenklichen Gaumenfreuden zu widmen.

Arepas de Queso (genossen in Kolumbien)

Werden in den Straßen von Cartagena verkauft, die wichtigsten Zutaten sind Maismehl für Polenta und Käse, einfach köstlich!

Francesinha (genossen in Porto/Portugal)

Ein Essen in der Stadt Porto mit einer Mischung aus Fleisch, Wurst und anderen Zutaten. Erich findet es „phänomenal“!

In this review I would like to introduce to you some dishes I have eaten and enjoyed. There are others whom I have seen, but then I did not had the courage to try them.

There are meals I have enjoyed and will eat again whenever the opportunity arises.

It is important to say at this point that in my everyday life I try to pay attention to healthy eating and the number of calories. But when I travel I ignore this and let myself be guided by the curiosity and joy of the new and good gastronomy, in short, to enjoy life without major restrictions…

It is important to point out one thing, there exist food which is a part of our life and which we sometimes miss when we travel, so in the case of Erich as a German, who misses some typical German dishes since they are not available here.

Now here are the little treats we have here and there so found and enjoyed and we want now to present to you with pleasure.

Ceviche (we enjoyed this in Caratagena / Colombia)

It is an original Peruvian dish with raw fish marinated in lemon.

Dumplings (we enjoyed this in China)

It looks like ravioli with different fillings and can be steamed or fried.

Alheira (we enjoyed this in Porto / Portugal)

It is a kind of typical sausage in Portugal, made with different kinds of meat, garlic, olive oil, bread and other ingredients.

Meatloaf (Germany / Austria / Switzerland)

A very simple snack that Erich here in Brazil misses and could not find so far. It is found in many kiosks, bakeries and snackbars.

CHEESE FONDUE (we enjoyed this in Zürich / Switzerland)

It was unforgettable for me, the first time I ate cheese fondue. I was in Zurich, it was very cold and that hot food with a good wine has become one of the moments that I never will forget.

Japanese food (we enjoyed in Nagasaki / Japan)

The Japanese are known for tradition, the organization, the fineness of its art. With the food it is the same. A table for lunch in Japan is characterized by its beauty and flavors. Erich and I had the opportunity to enjoy an excellent lunch in Nagasaki.

There exist also snacks that I have only seen, but did not had enough courage to try them out. The scorpion skewers and snakes are just a few examples of this in CHINA.

Tapioca

Tapioka is a food I miss when I travel. Since my childhood is part of my menu.

Another special snack for me is this crab pike especially here in Natal in a very well-known restaurant or in Alto da Sé in Olinda.

Greek food

Erich loves Greek food, but here in Brazil is very difficult to find a restaurant with Greek specialties. So we always take the opportunity to enjoy it on journeys.

Food and drinks of the Alsace region in FRankreich

The Alsace offers fantastic dishes, a wide selection of cheeses and wines. It is a region, where it is worth to devote all the imaginable palate to the ambience and the sights.

Arepas de Queso (enjoyed in Colombia)

Are sold in the streets of Cartagena, the main ingredients are cornmeal for polenta and cheese, simply delicious!

Francesinha (enjoyed in Porto / Portugal)

A meal in the city of Porto with a mixture of meat, sausage and other ingredients. Erich finds it “phenomenal”!

PUNTA ARENAS – CAPITAL DA REGIÃO DE MAGALHÃES

Punta Arenas está localizada no Chile e é a capital da província de Magalhães e encontra-se nas proximidades do Estreito de Magalhães. Quando não existia o Canal do Panamá, era passagem obrigatória para os navios que atravessavam o Cabo Horn.

Punta Arenas continua a ser uma cidade próspera até hoje, graças aos seus ricos recursos naturais. A cidade é também o portão de entrada para a Patagônia Chilena, um labirinto de fiordes, rios, estepes e montanhas ao norte. Ao sul encontra-se a grande massa congelada da Antártica. O fim do mundo.

Através do Estreito de Magalhães, passagem entre os oceanos Atlântico e Pacífico, descoberta por Fernão de Magalhães em 1520, se alcança a Terra do Fogo, a solitária Terra do Fogo. A região foi povoada por imigrantes iogoslavos e ingleses que se estabeleceram no local durante o século XIX, quando desenvolveram a criação de ovelhas.

A Colina da Cruz oferece uma vista fantástica da cidade e do Estreito de Magalhães.

Durante nossa visita a Punta Arenas, gostamos muito da feirinha e do clima encontrado na Plaza Muñoz Gamero, local central da cidade.

Sombreada pela copa dos pinheiros, a praça é envolto por mansões de estilo barroco do século XIX,

No centro da praça tem um monumento em homenagem a Fernando de Magalhães.

Você pode visitar também o Museu Salesiano Margiorino Borgatello, que é um testemunho da vida dos habitantes indígenas e do ecossistema no extremo sul.

OInstituto recebe-o numa visita ao Museu de Memórias ao ar livre. Você vai testemunhar uma coleção de antiguidades agrícolas e máquinas industriais importadas da Europa, uma típica casa pioneira e galpão (reconstruído), e um reboque de madeira de rodas que serviu de abrigo para os pastores.

Uma visita rápida ao Cemitério Pioneiro, com seu grande pórtico de pedra gigante, apresenta um pouco sobre a história de Punta Arenas.

Vivemos um dia agradável em Punta Arenas, caminhando pelas suas ruas,tomando um café e apreciando suas casas coloridas,

vendo flores coloridas nos jardins residenciais,

durante o curto verão,quase no fim do mundo, no Estreito de Magalhães.

Nosso plano original era o de visitor o Parque Nacional Torres del Paine, uma das mais espetaculares região do mundo, uma das maiores da América do Sul. Mas, devido ao mau tempo, nosso voo foi cancelado e assim,não pudemos visitar esse magnifico parque, ficou para outra vez…

Es liegt auf den Hügeln mit Blick auf die Straße von Magellan. In den Tagen vor dem Panamakanal war dies ein wichtiger Hafen, als die Schiffe die Gewässer von Kap Horn meideten.

Punta Arenas bleibt bis heute eine wohlhabende Stadt dank seiner reichen natürlichen Ressourcen. Die Stadt ist auch das Tor zum Patagonien Chiles, einem Labyrinth aus Fjorden, Flüssen, Steppen und Bergen im Norden. Im Süden liegt die große gefrorene Masse der Antarktis. Das Ende der Welt.

Oberhalb der Magellan -Straße liegt Feuerland, diese einsame, windgepeitschte Insel, die von Magellan im Jahre 1520 entdeckt wurde. Die Region wurde im 19. Jahrhundert von jugoslawischen und englischen Schafviehzüchtern besiedelt.

Die La Cruz Hügel bietet einen fantastischen Blick auf Punta Arenas und die Straße von Magellan.

Wir genossen den kleinen Markt, das Leben und die Atmosphäre auf dem Plaza Muñoz Gamero, dem zentralen Platz von Punta Arenas.

Schattiert von einem Baldachin von Pinien, ist der Platz von barockartigen Herrenhäusern aus dem 19. Jahrhundert umgeben

und hier findet sich auch das Hernando de Magallanes Denkmal, das Ferdinand Magellan gewidmet ist.

Sie können auch das Salesianische Museum Marggiorino Borgatello besuchen, das ein Zeugnis für das Leben der indigenen Einwohner und das Ökosystem im fernen Süden ist.

Das Patagonien-Institut lädt ein zur Besichtigung des Freiluftmuseums. Sie werden Zeuge einer Sammlung von antiken Bauern- und Industriemaschinen, die aus Europa importiert wurden, sie sehen ein typisches Pionierhaus und einen Scherenschuppen (rekonstruiert) und einen hölzerner Anhänger, der den Hirten als Schutz diente.

Ein kurzer Besuch auf dem Pionierfriedhof mit seinem steinernen Eingangstor und den europäischen Zypressen gibt Zeugnis von der Geschichte Punta Arenas.

Während dieses Tages in Punta Arenas haben wir lange Spaziergänge gemacht, die bunten Häuser und ihre Dächer gesehen

und die schönen Blumen in vielen Gärten

während dieser so kurzen Periode der Sommerzeit hier fast am Ende der Welt an der Magellan-Straße bewundert.

Ursprünglich wollten wir von hier weiter zum Nationalpark Torres del Paine reisen. Es ist eine der spektakulärsten Landschaften der Welt; es ist sicherlich eine der Hauptattraktionen in ganz Südamerika. Aber wegen der schlechten Wettervorhersage wurde unser Flug abgesagt, was für uns letztendlich nur das eine bedeutete –Aufgeschoben ist nicht Aufgehoben !!!!

Punta Arenas – Capital of the Magallanes region

It lies atop rolling hills, looking out over the Strait of Magellan. In the days before the Panama Canal, this was a major port as ships plied the waters of Cape Horn.

Punta Arenas remains a prosperous town today, thanks to its rich natural resources. The city is also the gateway to Chilean Patagonia, a maze of fjords, rivers, steppes, and mountains to the north. Across the Strait of Magellan lies Tierra del Fuego, the lonely, windswept island discovered by Magellan in 1520. The region was settled by Yugoslavian and English sheep ranchers in the 19th century.

The La Cruz Hill offer fantastic views of Punta Arenas and the Strait of Magellan.

We liked the small Market, the life and atmosphere of the Plaza Muñoz Gamero, Punta Arenas’ central plaza.

Shaded by a canopy of pine trees, the plaza is enveloped by baroque-style mansions from the 19th century,

and boasts the Hernando de Magallanes Monument dedicated to Ferdinand Magellan.

You can visit also Salesian Museum Marggiorino Borgatello, which is a testimony to the life of the indigenous inhabitants and the ecosystem in the far south.

The Patagonia Institute welcomes you on a tour of the outdoor Museum of Memories. You’ll witness a collection of antique farm and industrial machinery imported from Europe, a typical pioneer house and shearing shed (reconstructed), and a wooden-wheeled trailer that served as shelter for shepherds.

A short visito f the Pioneer Cemetery gives a reflection of the history of Punta Arenas fronted by a giant stone portico and landscaped with sculpted European cypress trees.

During this day in Punta Arenas we enjoyed walking a lot and we liked to see the colorful houses

and the beautiful flowers in the gardens

during this so short period of summertime here almost at the end oft he world here at Strait of Magellan.

Originally we wanted to continue to travel to the Torres del Paine National Park. It is one of the most spectacular scenic regions in the world; it is certainly one of the major attractions in South America. But due to bad weather forecast our flight was cancelled what means finally…deferred is not canceled!!!!

Do sudoeste da Alemanha até a região da Alsácia, é só um pulinho! Nessa região da França, localizada nas encostas da cadeia de montanhas chamadas Vosges, há cidadezinhas medievais que lhe transportam para outros tempos na história.

São muitas as opções de lazer e férias nessa região. Eu recomendo três dias e duas noites, tempo suficiente para aproveitar muitas das diversas opções de lazer da região da Alsácia.

Nosso roteiro nos conduzirá de Estrasburgo através de Obernai e Riquewihr, na Alsácia, para Gerardmer, nas proximidades de Lorraine.

Rota Strasbourg-Gerardmer/ Route Straβburg-Geradmer / Route Straßburg – Gerardmer

Reserve um dia para Estrasburgo. A catedral de Estrasburgo, localizada no centro dessa cidade cultural da Alsácia, é uma das mais importantes da Europa.

Nas proximidades desse edifício, há uma casa de estilo do Gótico Tardio, que impressiona.

O centro histórico de Estrasburgo, chamado de “La Petite France”, tem uma ótima localização, com suas casas em estilo enxaimel com vistas para o rio III que banha a cidade. Esse conjunto é Patrimônio Mundial da Humanidade, tombado pela UNESCO.

O Parlamento Europeu, o Conselho da Europa e o Tribunal Europeu dos Direitos Humanos estão localizados em Estrasburgo.

Outro dia será destinado a Geradmer, localizada a 130 km de Estrasburgo. O percurso é pontilhado de muitos lugares interessantes que vão tornar seu dia uma experiência muito agradável.

Distante apenas 25 km de Estrasburgo, visitamos Obernai, cidadezinha com 10 000 habitantes localizada em uma planície na parte alta do Rio Reno.

O que me fascina sempre nesse lugar é o Mercado de Natal, além da variedade e beleza da decoração da cidade nessa época do ano combinada com as casas em estilo enxaimel, além do centro histórico muito bem preservado.

A próxima para é Riquewihr, para mim, é o máximo, para Marcia, é uma cidade medieval inserida de forma harmoniosa e completa entre os vinhedos das montanhas dos Vosges.

Aqui, você deve reservar um tempo para relaxar nas suas ruas com casas coloridas, com suas fontes,

A cidade é uma joia e também sua gastronomia, que faz com que você permaneça nela para aproveitar seu vinho e suas delicias.

Se você procura por um lugar romântico e medieval, você vai encontrar tudo isso em Riquewihr, um lugar para você visitar acompanhado.

A última etapa deste dia nos levará através das montanhas arborizadas no sul dos Vosges para Gérardmer com seus idílicos lagos de banho.

Gérardmer também chamada a “pérola dos Vosges” é também estação de esqui com muitos resorts.

É famosa por seu festival de narcísios em abril e, embora aconteça na região vizinha da Lorraine, menciono aqui para dar a este passeio uma conclusão especial.

Pittoreske Dörfer – fantastische Landschaften und Schlemmen wie Gott in Frankreich

Mit nur einem Katzensprung erreicht man vom Südwesten Deutschlands aus das Elsass mit seinen malerischen Dörfern in den Hängen der Vogesen gelegen – lebendige Geschichte.

Es gibt unzählige Freizeit- und Urlaubsmöglichkeiten in dieser Region, ich möchte mich hier auf nur eine Variante von 3 Tagen und 2 Übernachtungen konzentrieren, die viel Abwechslung offeriert.

Unsere Fahrt wird uns von Straβburg über Obernai und Riquewhire im Elsass schlieβlich nach Geradmer im benachbarten Lothringen führen.

Nehmen Sie sich einen Tag Zeit um sich ganz in Ruhe Straβburg anzusehen. Das Straßburger Münster im Zentrum der elsässischen Kulturstadt zählt zu einer der bedeutendsten Kathedralen in Europa.

Direkt neben dem Münster auch das beeindruckende Fachwerkhaus aus der Spätgotik.

Das historische Stadtviertel La Petite France besticht durch seine groβartige Lage, seine Fachwerkhäuser und die gewährten Ausblicke von einer der ganzjährig durchgeführten Bootstouren auf der Ill. Die Altstadt ist komplett ein UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe.

Im sogenanntenEuropa-Viertel befinden sich das Europäische Parlament, der Europarat und der Europäische Gerichtshof für Menschenrechte.

Die Entfernung am nächsten Tag bis nach Geradmer beträgt nur etwa 130 km, aber vieles Sehenswertes lassen den ganzen Tag zum Erlebnis werden.

Etwa 25 Kilometer südwestlich von Straßburg besuchen wir Obernai mit seinen etwa 10.000 Einwohnern in der Oberrheinebene. Was mich hier immer wieder fasziniert ist einmal der Weihnachtsmarkt, aber v.a. auch die Vielfalt und Schönheit der Dekorationen in Verbindung mit der schon fantastischen Fachwerkstruktur der sehr gut erhaltenen Altstadt.

Den nächsten Stop machen wir in Riquewihr,für mich ein Superlativ, für Marcia ein kleines mittelalterliches Dorf, das wie gemalt und komplett erhalten in die Weinhänge der Vogesen harmonisch eingefügt wurde.

Hier sollten Sie sich die Zeit nehmen, um sich in den Gassen mit all den bunten Häusern, seinen Brunnen,

seinen Stadttoren

einfach treiben zu lassen…es ist ein Juwel und auch die Gastronomie mit seinen Weinen und Leckereien laden zum Verweilen hier an der Weinstraβe ein.

Suchen Sie Mittelalter und Romantik…hier finden Sie es, aber Sie sind sicherlich nicht allein hier mit diesem Begehren.

Die letzte Etappe an diesem Tag führt uns dann durch die bewaldeten Berge der Südvogesen nach Gérardmer mit seinen idyllischen Badeseen.

Gérardmer wird auch die “Perle der Vogesen” genannt und auch als Skigebiet beliebt.

Es ist berühmt für sein Narzissenfest im April und obwohl es schon in der Nachbarregion Lothringen gelegen ist, sollte es hier Eingang finden, um dieser Tour einfach einen würdigen Abschluβ zu verleihen.

Pittoresque villages – fantastic landscapes and feasting like God in France

With only one stone’s throw you can reach Alsace from the south-west of Germany with its picturesque villages in the slopes of the Vosges – a lively history.

There are countless leisure and holiday opportunities in this region, I would like to focus on only one variant of 3 days and 2 nights, which offers a lot of variety.

Our trip will lead us from Strasbourg via Obernai and Riquewhire in Alsace to Geradmer in the neighboring Lorraine.

Take a day to see Straßburg. The Strasbourg Cathedral in the center of the Alsatian cultural city is one of the most important cathedrals in Europe.

Right next to the cathedral, the impressive half-timbered house from Late Gothic.

The historic town district of La Petite France has a great location, its half-timbered houses and the views from one of the boat trips on the river Ill. The old town is completely a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The European Parliament, the Council of Europe and the European Court of Human Rights are located in the European quarter.

The distance to Geradmer the next day is only about 130 km, but a lot of places of interest make the whole day an experience.

About 25 kilometers southwest of Strasbourg we visit Obernai with its 10,000 inhabitants in the Upper Rhine Plain. What fascinates me here again and again is the Christmas market, but also the variety and beauty of the decorations in combination with the already fantastic half-timbered structure of the very well-preserved old town.

The next stop is in Riquewihr, for me a unique superlative, for Marcia a small medieval village, which has been inserted harmoniously and completely into the vineyards of the Vosges.

Here you should take the time to just relax in the streets with all the colorful houses, its fountains,

its city gates,

… it is a jewel and also the gastronomy with its wines and treats invite you to stay here on the wine road.

Look for medieval and romance … here you will find it, but you are certainly not alone here with this desire.

The last stage on this day will lead us through the wooded mountains of the southern Vosges to Gérardmer with its idyllic bathing lakes.

Gérardmer is also called the “pearl of the Vosges” and also popular as a ski resort.

It is famous for its daffodils festival in April and although it is already in the neighboring region of Lorraine, it should be here to give this tour a worthy conclusion.

Caicó, lugar pitoresco e místico/Caico, ein malerischer und mystischer Ort/Caico, a picturesque and mystical place

Conhecida por ser uma cidade quente, de culinária marcante e pela hospitalidade de seus habitantes, Caicó é uma cidade de muitas paisagens, que surpreende e encanta até mesmo os mais atentos olhos.

Saindo de Natal, distando 274 km e com aproximadamente 4 horas de viagem de carro, as estradas que levam até Caicó estão em boas condições.

É possível admirar a beleza da vegetação de caatinga pela janela do carro em sua paisagem desoladora porém forte, seca mas cheia de vida. Galhos retorcidos de uma vegetação que sofre com a falta de chuva, casas de fazenda seculares com uma arquitetura singular, diversos cactos. Tudo isso associada a um clima bucólico praticamente desprovido da inquietude das cidades grandes.

Caicó, cidade conhecida e cantada em versos, lembrada em poesias. Tão arcaico quanto o ar que respiramos, imortalizada na voz do cantor Chico César. Terra de lendas, mitos e causos, impregnados no imaginário riquíssimo de sua população de pouco mais de 67 mil habitantes.

A cidade oferece encantos escondidos em paisagens sertanejas: o Forte do Cuó, importante palco de nossa história; o Poço de Santana e a lenda do vaqueiro; a Casa de Pedra onde a cidade começou a existir; as ruínas do fabuloso Castelo de Engady;

o silêncio do Erimitério de São Sabas, o Arco do Triunfo como sendo o seu principal cartão postal e a imponente arquitetura dos casarões da Avenida Seridó. Lugares que proporcionam aos visitantes uma viagem ao tempo, ou quem sabe, a uma paisagem digna de um bom filme.

É a terra de um dos maiores carnavais do nordeste, do Bloco do Magão, das burrinhas-de-padre, de muita folia, algazarra e uma alegria sem motivo aparente.

Caicó tem de tudo: uma feira livre multicolorida, esbanjando os frutos da terra, raízes e ervas medicinais e todo tipo de cacareco multiuso que se possa imaginar. A carne de sol como destaque nacional, os queijos com um sabor inigualável, a manteiga da terra, as tapiocas, e os principais pratos regionais: arroz de leite, paçoca, feijão com torresmo, canjica, galinha caipira, coalhada, filhós com mel rapadura… Deixam qualquer um com água na boca.

O sertão do Seridó tem devoção fervorosa a Nossa Senhora de Santana, uma fé contagiante e de uma beleza sem igual. Durante todo mês de Julho os caicoenses comemoram as graças e proteção dadas pela sua padroeira e toda a cidade se enfeita para a época mais memorável do ano: A Festa de Santana. A cidade recebe pessoas de todas as regiões. Sempre há lugar para mais um. É tempo de muita fé e uma multidão de fiéis percorrem os principais bairros da cidade levando a imagem da padroeira em uma grande procissão, abençoando os lares e seus habitantes. A Festa de Santana é ainda uma enorme celebração. O baile dos coroas esbanjando toda elegância e tradição é esperado o ano todo. As melhores costureiras de Caicó ficam encarregadas de produzirem os vestidos que irão abrilhantar a noite. Noite essa onde se pode reviver os bailes de outrora e dançar ao som de orquestras. Existem ainda as festas de rua, os inúmeros parques de diversão para as crianças e a tradicional feirinha de Santana- ponto máximo das comemorações, onde é possível encontrar os velhos amigos e comer as melhores comidas regionais.

O calor humano e o sorriso largo de seus habitantes atraem gente de todos os cantos, tão grande é o encanto de sua gente simples e dedicada. Terra de grandes poetas, músicos e contadores de histórias.

Vale à pena, colocar no roteiro de viagem a cidade de Caicó – RN. Sem sombra de dúvidas não há como não se apaixonar por um lugar tão pitoresco e místico.

Bekannt dafür eine heiße Stadt zu sein, die bemerkenswerte Küche und die Gastfreundschaft seiner Bewohner, ist Caico eine Stadt mit vielen Landschaften, die überrascht und selbst wachsame Augen begeistert.

Natal verlassend erreichen Sie das 274 km entfernte Caico in etwa 4 Stunden auf Strassen in gutem Zustand.

Durch das Autofenster können Sie die typische Landschaft, die Kaatinga, eine extrem trockene Landschaft und dennoch voller Leben vorbeiziehen sehen.

Ausgedorrte Vegetation zeugen von dem Mangel an Regen, profane Bauernhöfe mit einer einzigartigen Architektur, verschiedene Kakteen kreieren jedoch schon fast eine idyllische Atmosphäre frei von der Unruhe der großen Städte.

Caico, eine Stadt bekannt und in Versen besungen, in der Poesie erinnert. Archaisch wie die Luft, die wir atmen, verewigt durch die Stimme von Sänger Chico César. Land der Legenden, Mythen und Geschichten geprägt von der reichen Phantasie seiner Bevölkerung von knapp über 67.000 Einwohnern.

Es ist das Land eines der größten Karnevale im Nordosten, die Magão- und die Burrinhas-de-Padre-Zunft, viel Heiterkeit, Rummel und einer Freude ohne ersichtlichen Grund.~

Caico hat von Allem etwas: einen bunten Straβenmarkt mit Früchten der Erde, Wurzeln und heilenden Kräutern und alles erdenkliche an Mehrzweckdingen. Das Fleisch (Carne de Sol) von nationaler Bedeutung, der Käse mit einem einzigartigen Geschmack, Butter der Regio, Tapioka und die wichtigsten regionalen Gerichte: Milchreis, Pacoca (Erdnuss-Süßigkeiten), Bohnen mit Schweineschwarte , Grütze, Landhuhn, Quark, Krapfen mit Honig und braunen Zucker … es lässt einem das Wasser im Munde zusammenlaufen.

Die Bewohner des Seridó empfinden eine glühende Verehrung für „Unsere Liebe Frau von Santana“, einem ansteckenden Glauben von unvergleichlicher Schönheit.

Im Juli feiern die „Caicoenses“ die erhaltenen Gnaden und den Schutz von ihrer Schutzpatronin und die ganze Stadt ist für diese denkwürdigste Zeit des Jahres festlich geschmückt ist: Das Fest von Santana.

Die Stadt begrüßt Menschen aus allen Regionen. Es gibt immer noch Raum für eine weitere Person. Es ist Zeit, in der in tiefem Glauben eine Menge von Gläubigen durch die wichtigsten Bezirke der Stadt ziehen und dabei die Statue der Jungfrau der Stadt in einer großen Prozession tragend, Haus und Bewohner segnend.

Es ist ein einzigartiger Moment mit viel Emotion. Es ist auch der Zeitpunkt, wenn die Bauern in die Stadt kommen und auf ihren Pferden, Eseln, Traktoren und Lastwagen durch die Stadt paradieren, dabei allen die Würde ihrer Arbeit und den Stolz zeigend, Sertanejo zu sein.

Das Fest von Santana ist immer eine sehr große Feier. Der „Ball der Kronen“ übertrifft alle Eleganz und Tradition und wird das ganze Jahr erwartet. Die besten Näherinnen von Caico sind verantwortlich für die Kleider, die die Nacht erhellen.

In dieser Nacht kann man die Tänze von einst erleben zur Musik der Orchester tanzen. Es gibt auch Straßenfeste, die zahlreichen Vergnügungsparks für Kinder und die traditionelle Handwerksmesse von Santana, Höhepunkt der Feierlichkeiten, wo man alte Freunde treffen kann und das Beste der regionalen Küche genieβen kann.

Die menschliche Wärme und das breite Lächeln seiner Bewohner zieht Menschen aus allen Ecken an, so groß ist der Reiz seiner einfachen und engagierten Menschen. Das Land der großen Dichter, Musiker und Geschichtenerzähler.

Es lohnt sich, Caico-RN in ihre Reiseroute aufzunehmen. Es gibt keinen Zweifel daran, dass man so leicht keinem anderen pittoresken und mystischen Ort so leicht verfallen kann.

Known for being a hot city, the remarkable cuisine and the hospitality of its inhabitants, Caico is a city with many landscapes that amazes even wary eyes.

From Natal Caico is 274 km away and can be reached on roads in good condition in about 4 hours.

Through the car Windows you can see the typical landscape, the Kaatinga, an extremely dry landscape and still full of life.

The vegetation is characterized by a lack of rain, profane farms with a unique architecture, but various cacti create almost an idyllic atmosphere free from the unrest of the big cities.

Caico, a city known and sung in verses, recalls in poetry. Archaic as the air we breathe, immortalized by the voice of singer Chico César. Land of legends, myths and stories characterized by the rich imagination of its population of just over 67,000 inhabitants.

The city offers hidden charms of the Seridor: the CuO Fort, an important stage in our history; The Santana pond and cowboy legend; The stone house, where the city began to exist; The ruins of the fabulous castle Engady;

In July, the “Caicoenses” celebrate the graces received and the protection of their patron saint and the whole city is festively decorated for this most memorable time of the year: The Feast of Santana.

The city welcomes people from all regions. There is still room for one more person. It is time when, in deep faith, a lot of believers move through the most important districts of the city, while carrying the statue of the Virgin of the city in a great procession blessing the house and the inhabitants.

It is a unique moment with lots of emotion. It is also the time when the peasants come to the city and paradise on their horses, donkeys, tractors and trucks through the city, showing all the dignity of their work and the pride of being Sertanejo.

The feast of Santana is always a very big celebration. The “ball of the crowns” surpasses all elegance and tradition and is expected all year. Caico’s best seamstresses are responsible for the clothes that illuminate the night.

This night you can dance the dances of the past to the music of the orchestra. There are also street festivals, the numerous amusement parks for children and the traditional handicraft fair of Santana, the highlight of the festivities where you can meet old friends and enjoy the best of the regional cuisine.

The human warmth and wide smile of its inhabitants attracts people from all corners, so great is the charm of its simple and committed people. The land of great poets, musicians and story-tellers.

It is worth taking Caico-RN into your tour plans. There is no doubt that one can not easily fall into love to any other picturesque and mystical place.

Península Valdés – paraíso de mamíferos marinhos

Os colonos galeses migraram para a Argentina em busca de terra barata e fundaram em 1865 a pequena cidade de Puerto Madryn a cerca de 1.350 km ao sul de Buenos Aires.

A vida na Patagônia foi e não é fácil. Há pradarias solitárias, invernos brutalmente frios e ventos implacáveis.

Puerto Madryn é o ponto de partida para visitar a península Valdés, com cerca de 3.625 km², na província argentina de Chubut, na costa atlântica.

No caminho para lá um pequeno centro de visitantes informa sobre a flora e fauna da península.

Península Valdés é uma reserva natural e tornou-se Patrimônio Natural Mundial integrando, assim, a lista da UNESCO em 1999. A península Valdés é formada por uma paisagem cárstica e pequenos lagos, sendo o maior localizado no ponto mais baixo da península, localizado a 35 metros abaixo do nível do mar.

A península é importante devido, principalmente, a existência de mamíferos marinhos, os quais estão presentes à beira-mar. São os lobos e elefantes marinhos

e também são avistadas baleias, em certas épocas do ano, para se reproduzir nas águas quentes e protegidas do lugar. No mar aberto também são encontradas orcas. Infelizmente quando visitamos a Península Valdés não avistamos baleias.

Existem muitas colônias de pinguins-de-magalhães nessa área, não são grandes, mas muito interessantes para quem se interessa por animais. Uma característica marcantes dos pinguins é que eles não sentem medo da presença humana.

Eles são capazes de se aproximarem bem perto dos visitantes, uns sessenta centímetros, sem tentar escapar ou fazer algum gesto ameaçador.

Essas colônias de pinguins-de-magalhães convivem pacificamente com os elefantes marinhos.

Há também uma variedade de aves marinhas para se observar.

O interior da península é constituída por uma estepe quente e seca com arbustos na altura do joelho e tufos de grama também seca.

Apesar do clima, o lugar é habitado por diversos animais como o nandu (parente da ema), guanacos (animal parecido com a lhama), maras (conhecida como a lebre da Patagônia), dentre outros.

O único lugar habitado da península é Puerto Piràmides, no Golfo Novo.

Halbinsel Valdés – Paradies für Meeressäugetiere

Walisischen Siedler wanderten nach Argentinien aus auf der Suche nach billigem Land und gründeten im Jahre 1865 die kleine Stadt Puerto Madryn etwa 1.350 km südlich von Buenos Aires.

Das Leben in Patagonien war und ist jedoch nicht einfach. Es gibt einsame Prärien, brutal kalte Winter und unerbittliche Winde.

Puerto Madryn ist Ausgangspunkt für den Besuch der etwa 3.625km² großen und 100 km entfernten Halbinsel Valdés in der argentinischen Provinz Chubut an der Atlantikküste.

Auf dem Weg dorthin informiert das kleine Besucherzentrum über die Flora und Fauna der Halbinsel.

Sie ist ein Naturreservat und wurde 1999 von der UNESCO auf die Weltnaturerbeliste gesetzt. Die Halbinsel Valdés besteht größtenteils aus karger Landschaft und einigen kleineren Salzseen, deren größter mit 35 Metern unter dem Meeresspiegel gleichzeitig den tiefsten Punkt der Halbinsel bildet.

Von besonderer Bedeutung ist die Halbinsel wegen der Meeressäugetiere,

die sich an ihren Ufern und vor ihren Küsten tummeln.

Dies sind an der Küste Seelöwen und See-Elefanten, auch Wale werden zu Fortpflanzungszwecken zu bestimmten Jahreszeiten im Golf mit seinen wärmeren geschützten Gewässern gesichtet.

Im offenen Meer vor den Küsten der Halbinsel leben jedoch auch Schwertwale (Orcas). Zu unserer Reisezeit im Februar gab es leider keine Wale zu beobachten.

Es gibt an den Küsten mehrere Kolonien der Magellan-Pinguine ,die nicht sonderlich groß sind, aber dennoch hochinteressant für den Tierliebhaber sind.

Das Erstaunlichste an diesen Pinguinen ist das Fehlen jeglicher Scheu vor dem Menschen.

Man kann sich ihnen bis auf Armlänge nähern, ohne dass sie flüchten oder Drohgebärden zeigen.

Diese Magellan-Pinguin-Kolonien leben friedlich in unmittelbarer Nähe zu den gewaltigen See-Elefanten.

Auch gibt es eine Vielzahl von Seevögeln zu beobachten.

Das Innere der Halbinsel ist eine trockene und heiße Steppenlandschaft mit kniehohen Sträuchern und von der Sonne verbrannten, dürren Grasbüscheln.

Trotz des Klimas wird sie von zahlreichen Tieren bevölkert, wie dem Nandu (Südamerikanischer Straußenvogel), dem Guanaco (Verwandter der Lamas),

den Maras und dem Gürteltier.

Einziger bewohnter Ort auf der Halbinsel ist das 400 Seelen-Dorf Puerto Pirámides am Golfo Novo.

Valdés peninsula – paradise for marine mammals

Welsh settlers migrated to Argentina in search for cheap land and founded in 1865 the small town of Puerto Madryn about 1,350 km south of Buenos Aires.

Life in Patagonia was and is not easy. There are solitary prairies, brutally cold winters and unrelenting winds.

Puerto Madryn is the starting point for visiting the Valdés peninsula, some 3,625 km² in size and 100 km away, in the Argentine province of Chubut on the Atlantic coast.

On the way to there a small visitor center informs about the flora and fauna of the peninsula.

It is a nature reserve and was set up by the UNESCO on the World Nature Reserve list in 1999. The peninsula of Valdés consists largely of karst landscape and some smaller salt lakes, the largest of which is the lowest point of the peninsula at 35 meters below sea level.

Of particular importance is the peninsula because of the sea mammals,

which are floating on their shores and their coasts.

These are on the coast sea lions and sea elephants, also whales are sighted for breeding purposes at certain seasons in the Gulf with its warmer sheltered waters.

In the open sea off the coasts of the peninsula also live orcas. At our travel time in February there were unfortunately no whales to watch.

There are several colonies of the Magellan penguins on the coasts, which are not particularly large but are nevertheless very interesting for the animal lover.

The most amazing thing about these penguins is the absence of any fear of man.

They can be approached as far as arm’s length without escaping or threatening gestures.

These Magellan penguin colonies live peacefully in the immediate vicinity of the vast sea elephants.

Also, there are a variety of seabirds to watch.

The interior of the peninsula is a dry and hot steppe landscape with knee-high shrubs and sun-dried, dry grass tufts.

Despite the climate, it is populated by numerous animals such as the Nandu (South American ostrich bird), the Guanaco (relative of the llamas),

the maras and the girdle.

The only inhabited place on the peninsula is the 400 souls village Puerto Pirámides at the Golfo Novo.

PASSAU – DIE DREIFLÜSSESTADT

Passau ist eine Universitätsstadt und alte Bischofsstadt mit 50.000 Einwohnern in Bayern. Sie liegt an der Grenze zu Österreich sowie am Zusammenfluss der Flüsse Donau, Inn und Ilz und wird deshalb auch „Dreiflüssestadt“ genannt. Aufgrund dieser Lage wird sie auch oft „die Schwimmende Stadt“ genannt.

Die fantastische Lage der Dreiflüssestadt zieht alljährlich sehr viele in- und ausländische Touristen an, hierbei spielt die Flusskreuzfahrbranche inzwischen eine gewichtige Rolle. Diese Lage an den 3 Flüssen führt natürlich auch regelmäβig zu schweren Überschwemmungen und im Jahr 2013 war es dann soweit mit der historischen Rekordmarke von 12,89 Metern – es war das sogenannte Jahrtausendhochwasser.

Wir besuchten Passau mit dem Zug und die Altstadt selbst mit ihren Sehenwürdigkeiten lassen sich bequem zu Fuss und per Bootsausflug besichtigen.

In der Altstadt gibt es viele, auch steile Gassen, die einen zu Spaziergängen einladen und immer wieder stöβt man auf einen Fluss, welcher war das nun schon wieder…??

Faszinierend der Dom St. Stephan mit barocken Gebäuden im Umfeld und einer unglaublichen Akustik durch eine der gröβten Orgeln dieser Welt.

Vom Schiff aus ergeben sich wunderschöne Ausblicke auf die Altstadt, sein Türme-Panorama, die „Vesten“ und natürlich auch auf den Zusammenfluss der 3 Flüsse, die Passau so berühmt machen.

Eine Reise nach Miami und Orlando

Wir hatten alles rechtzeitig getan, was die elementaren Vorbereitungen dieser Reise angeht: REISEPÄSSE OK, Tickets OK, Reiseversicherungen und Hotelreservierungen OK, Kreditkarten freigeschaltet, Auto mit GPS gemietet und auch ausreichend Dollars gewechselt.

Die Wahl der Freizeitparks, die wir besuchen wollten, gehörte dann schon zu den eher spannenden und amüsanteren Momenten der Reiseplanung. Ich wählte folgende Parkattraktionen für uns aus:

Magic Kingdom

Epcot Center

Universal Studios

Islands of Adventure

Die Vorbereitungen der Reise sind zwar ein Marathon, aber es lohnt sich allemal, schlieβlich lernt man ja den Bundesstaat Florida der USA kennen und einige der weltweit berühmtesten Freizeitparks.

Machen Sie keine Einkäufe in Miami, holen Sie den Mietwagen ab und geben ihre Routen für ihre Ausflüge ein, machen Sie einen Spaziergang an der Lincoln Road Avenue in Miami Beach, besuchen Sie die Coconut Grove Nachbarschaft, machen Sie einen Ausflug mit Amphibienfahrzeugen (Miami Duckar Tour), trinken Sie ein kaltes Bier und genießen Sie karibische Musik im Bayside Marketplace.

Vergessen Sie nicht, die köstlichen Gerichte in den Restaurants Dolce Italiano, Fratelli Milano, Cheesecake Factory und Benihana zu probieren.

Von Miami aus fahren Sie dann in etwa 3,5 Stunden auf der Autobahn die 320 km nach Orlando zur Stadt der Freizeitparks.

Wir alternierten die Tage dort, ein Tag für Einkäufe, dann ein Tag für den Besuch eines Parkes. Untergebracht waren wir in einem Hotel an der International Drive Avenue, dies ist der Treffpunkt der Touristen mit zahlreichen Hotels, Parks und Restaurants.

Kaufen Sie Kleidung der bekanntesten Marken der Welt in einem der Shoppings Ross Dress for Less zu sehr günstigen Preisen oder gehen Sie zu Vineland Premium Outlets und International Premium oder Einkaufs Mall Florida.

Das beste Elektronik-Geschäft ist das Best Buy. Tip: planen Sie sorgfältig wie und mit wem Sie reisen (Gruppe) und wie die Motivationen und Prioritäten für Shopping und/oder Sightseeing genau gelagert sind.

A trip to Miami and Orlando

We had done everything in time to make the basic preparations for this trip: passports OK, tickets ok, travel insurance and hotel reservations OK, credit cards cleared, car rented with GPS and also enough dollars changed.

The choice of the recreational parks we wanted to visit was already one of the more exciting and amusing moments of the trip planning. I selected the following parks for us:

Magic Kingdom

Epcot Center

Universal Studios

Islands of Adventure

The preparations for the trip are a marathon, but it is worth it, finally, one gets to know the state of Florida of the USA and some of the world’s most famous recreation parks.

Do not go shopping in Miami, pick up your rental car and make your itinerary for your trips, take a walk on Lincoln Road Avenue in Miami Beach, visit the Coconut Grove neighborhood, take a trip with amphibian vehicles (Miami Duckar Tour), drink a cold beer and enjoy Caribbean music in Bayside.

Do not forget to taste the delicious dishes at Dolce Italiano, Fratelli Milano, Cheesecake Factory and Benihana.

From Miami, drive about 320 km to the city of leisure parks in Orlando in about 3,5 hours on the motorway.

We alternated the days there, a day for shopping, then a day for visiting a Park. We were accommodated in a hotel on International Drive Avenue, this is the meeting place for tourists with numerous hotels, parks and restaurants.

Buy clothes from the most famous brands in the world in one of the Shoppings Ross Dress for Less at very reasonable rates or go to Vineland Premium Outlets and International Premium or Shopping Mall Florida.

The best electronics business is the Best Buy. Do not forget to visit some of the best restaurants in the city at Walmart, such as the Olive Garden (Italian Pasta), Benihana (Japanese Cuisine), The Cheesecake Factory, Bubba Gump (shrimp specialty) and if you miss Brazil then drink at Camila a free cachaça (schnapps) from the oak barrel and order a fillet steak.

Tip: plan carefully how and with whom you are traveling (group) and how the motivations and priorities for shopping and / or sightseeing are exactly distributed to find the right balance.

Três festas juninas no Nordeste Brasileiro

As festas juninas tem origem em Portugal e nasceram da devoção a Santo Antônio, São João e São Pedro. A cidade de Porto, por exemplo, tem uma grande festa , que anima a cidade de muitas cores e sabores.

As pessoas nascidas no nordeste brasileiro aprendem desde criança sobre as tradições das festas juninas. Quando lembro de festas juninas, logo vem à mente as deliciosas comidas de milho, as quadrilhas, as músicas.

Eu lembro bem que comecei a participar das quadrilhas de São João desde quando estava no jardim de infância. Como nasci e me criei na capital do Rio Grande do Norte, sempre escutei comentários que as grandes celebrações das festas juninas ocorrem mais nas cidades do interior do estado e dentre esses eventos, o blog Imagens e Viagens vai se concentrar mais nos eventos que ocorrem em Caruaru (Pernambuco), Campina Grande (Paraíba) e em Mossoró (Rio Grande do Norte). Essas festas possuem componentes tradicionais e também forte acento da modernidade dos dias atuais. Vale também destacar as grandes festas que acontecem nos outros estados da região nordeste do Brasil. Todas essas celebrações atraem uma quantidade imensa de pessoas.

Caruaru, cidade localizada a 138 km de Recife é famosa pela Feira de Caruaru e também pelos famosos festejos juninos. O evento ocorre em seis polos, localizados em diferentes pontos da cidade: Pátio do Forró, Polo Juarez Santiago, Polo Forró do Candeeiro, Polo Azulão, Polo Galdino e Polo das Quadrilhas.

Campina Grande, está localizada a 132 km de João Pessoa e seus festejos juninos também atraem milhares de turistas. O evento ocorre no Parque do Povo, espaço com 43 mil metros quadrados, onde está localizada a Pirâmide, espaço coberto, além da grande fogueira cenográfica. Quem vai para Campina Grande nessa época do ano, pode viajar no Expresso do Forró (funciona apenas nos finais de semana), que faz a rota entre a Estação Velha, em Campina Grande e o distrito de Galante, lugarejo animado com muita música e dança nas suas ruas.

Tanto Campina Grande e Caruaru promovem seus eventos como o “Maior São João do Mundo”.

O Mossoró Cidade Junina é o nome da grande festa realizada na “capital do oeste” potiguar, distante 280 km. É tradição nesse evento a apresentação teatral “Chuva de Bala no país de Mossoró”, que retrata a resistência do povo mossoroense ao bando do cangaceiro Lampião. além de muita animação, festival de quadrilhas, há o “Pingo da Mei Dia”, grande parada junina que percorre o Corredor Cultura de Mossoró e que somente acontece lá.

Die Juni-Festivals entstanden in Portugal mit der Hingabe an die Heiligen St. Johannes und Peter und Paul. Die Stadt Porto zum Beispiel feiert alljährlich eine große Partei, die die Stadt mit vielen Farben und Aromen beseelt.

Wenn ich an die Juni-Feste denke, dann kommen mir die leckeren Mais-Speisen in den Sinne, die Banden (Tanzgruppen), die Musik.

Ich erinnere mich gut, dass schon zu meinen Kindergartenzeiten immer diese Juni-Feierlichkeiten zelebriert wurden. Unser Reise – Blog wird sich auf die Festivitäten in Caruaru (Pernambuco), Campina Grande (Paraíba) und Mossoro (Rio Grande do Norte) konzentrieren.

Diese Parties zeigen all die traditionellen Komponenten, offerieren aber auch die starken Akzente der Moderne von heute. All diese Feierlichkeiten im Nordosten von Brasilien ziehen riesige Menschenmengen an.

Caruaru, eine Stadt 138 km von Recife entfernt, ist berühmt für seinen Open-Air-Markt (der gröβte in Südamerika) und auch für seine berühmten Juni-Feste, die in sechs verschiedenen Örtlichkeiten der Stadt stattfinden.

Campina Grande ist 132 km von João Pessoa entfernt und seine Juni- Feierlichkeiten locken auch Tausende von Touristen an. Die Veranstaltung findet im Volkspark statt mit einer Fläche von 43.000 Quadratmetern, wo sich die Pyramide befindet und das große szenografische Feuer.

Sowohl Campina Grande und Caruaru bewerben ihre Veranstaltungen als die gröβte “São João Veranstaltung der Welt“.

Mossoro, die City der großen Junina-Parties, ist die Hauptstadt im Westen 280 km von Natal entfernt. Es ist hier Tradition, das Theaterstück “Chuva de Bala no país de Mossoró” („Kugelhagel in Mossoro“) aufzuführen, das den Widerstand der Menschen gegen die Banditen der Bande Lampião in Mossoro zeigen. Es gibt sehr viel Unterhaltung, ein Festival der Tanzgruppen und es gibt den „Pingo Mei Day“, eine große Junina-Parade im sogenannten kultur-Korridor von Mossoro und dieses geschieht nur hier.

Falls Sie Animation mögen und Juni-Festivals mögen, dann lohnt es sich, eines dieser Feste zu besuchen, Sie werden es nicht bereuen. Anarrie! Alavantu!

Three June festivals in North-East Brazil

The June festivals originated in Portugal with the devotion to the Saints St. John and Peter and Paul. The city of Porto for example celebrates a large party every year, which inspires the city with many colors and aromas.

I remember well that these June celebrations have always been celebrated at my kindergarten times. Our travel blog will focus on the festivals in Caruaru (Pernambuco), Campina Grande (Paraíba) and Mossoro (Rio Grande do Norte).

These parties display all the traditional components, but also offer the strong accents of today’s modernity. All these festivities in the north-east of Brazil attract huge crowds.

Caruaru, a city 138 km from Recife, is famous for its open air market (the largest in South America) and also for its famous June festivals taking place in six different locations of the city.

Campina Grande is located 132 km from João Pessoa and its June festivities attract thousands of tourists. The event takes place in the Volkspark with an area of 43,000 square meters, where the pyramid is located and the great scenographic fire.

Both Campina Grande and Caruaru are promoting their events as the largest “São João event in the world”.

A localização fantástica de Passau atrai muitos turistas nacionais e estrangeiros todos os anos. A indústria de cruzeiros que navegam pelos rios desempenha um papel importante na economia local.

Cerca de 2000 curzeiros navegam nos três rios todos os anos. Vale a pena mencionar também a famosa ciclovia Inn e Donau, onde muitos dos turistas que chegam a Passau de bicicleta têm a capital austríaca, Viena, como seu objetivo.

A localização entre os três rios causou graves inundações e a que ocorreu em 2013 alcançou a marca histórica de 12,89 metros acima do nível do mar – foi o chamada a “enchente do milênio”.

Nós chegamos a Passau de trem. A cidade velha em si vale a pena visitar, há atrações interessantes que vale a pena visitar a pé e de barco.

Na cidade velha há também muitos becos estreitos, que convidam você para passeios e sempre você se depara com um dos rios e então você diz: de novo…??

A Catedral St. Stephan é fascinante com os edifícios barrocos nos arredores. Possuí uma acústica incrível, além de um dos maiores órgãos do mundo.

Do navio você pode ver belas vistas da cidade velha, as torres, do Veste Oberhaus, antiga fortaleza situada do lado esquerdo do Danúbio, (em frente a cidade velha de Passau), e, claro, a confluência dos três rios que tornam Passau tão famosa.

Passau está localizada muito próxima da Áustria. Portanto, se você visitar a “cidade dos três rios”, não perca a oportunidade de visitar a Áustria. Divirta-se…!!

PASSAU – THE THREE RIVERS CITY

The fantastic location of the Dreiflüssestadt attracts a lot of domestic and foreign tourists every year, the river cruise industry now plays an important role.
