Parque nacional chapada dos veadeiros/Chapada dos Veadeiros Nationalpark – Überschwang des Cerrado/Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park – Exuberance of the Cerrado
Você é um(a) amante da natureza? Você aprecia belas flores? Você gosta de conhecer lugares especiais? Se respondeu sim para as três perguntas, então sugiro, que quando a pandemia terminar, arrume as malas, se vacine contra febre amarela (recomendação do parque) e vá conhecer o Parque Nacional Chapada dos Veadeiros na época da floração das plantas do cerrado.
O Parque Nacional Chapada dos Veadeiros foi criado em 1961 e declarado Patrimônio Mundial da Humanidade pela UNESCO em 2001 e a entrada está distante cerca de 260 km de Brasília.
Ele está situado na parte nordeste do estado de Goiás, entre os municípios de São João d´Aliança, Nova Roma, Teresina de Goiás, Cavalcante e Alto Paraíso de Goiás.
De acordo com o ICMBIO, ele possui uma área de 240.611 hectares com vegetação predominante tipo cerrado de altitude, possui rochas com mais de um bilhão de anos, muitas nascentes e cursos d´água, além de paisagens espetaculares. Esse parque abrange áreas dos municípios de Cavalcante, Alto Paraíso de Goiás, Colinas do Sul e Teresina de Goiás.
O Parque Nacional Chapada dos Veadeiros possui como principais atrativos: a Trilha dos Cânions e Cariocas, a Trilha Seriema, a Travessia das Sete Quedas. Carrossel e Corredeiras e a Trilha dos Saltos.
O lugar é tão bonito! Você pode realizar caminhadas,
observar fauna e flora,
tomar banho de rio e cachoeira, realizar um acampamento rústico, realizar canionismo, escalada ou simplesmente contemplar as belíssimas paisagens.
Visitamos esse belo parque quando estávamos captando imagens para nosso livro 66 x Brasil. Voamos até Brasília, alugamos um carro e seguimos até Alto Paraíso de Goiás, onde nos hospedamos. De lá até a entrada do parque, no distrito de São Jorge, são 36 km de Alto Paraíso.
Tivemos o prazer de realizar uma caminhada cheia de belos cenários pela Trilha dos Cânions e Cariocas (12 km ida e volta).
O percurso é plano, pedregoso e sem muitos aclives. Durante nossa visita, o cerrado estava colorido, com muitas flores e ficamos realmente impressionados com a beleza desse bioma espetacular que é o cerrado.

Wenn Sie alle drei Fragen mit Ja beantwortet haben, schlage ich vor, dass Sie nach dem Ende der Pandemie Ihre Koffer packen, sich gegen Gelbfieber impfen lassen (Parkempfehlung) und zum Nationalpark Chapada dos Veadeiros reisen, dann, wenn die Cerrado-Pflanzen (Pfanzen der Savannen) blühen.
Der Nationalpark Chapada dos Veadeiros wurde 1961 gegründet und 2001 von der UNESCO zum Weltkulturerbe erklärt. Der Eingang liegt etwa 260 km von Brasilia entfernt.
Er befindet sich im nordöstlichen Teil des Bundesstaates Goiás zwischen den Gemeinden São João d´Aliança, Nova Roma, Teresina de Goiás, Cavalcante und Alto Paraíso de Goiás.
Laut ICMBIO hat verfügt er über eine Fläche von 240.611 Hektar mit überwiegend vegetativem Cerrado in der Höhe, er hat Felsen mit einem Alter von mehr als einer Milliarde Jahren, viele Quellen und Wasserläufe sowie weiterespektakuläre Landschaften. Dieser Park umfasst Gebiete in den Gemeinden Cavalcante, Alto Paraíso de Goiás, Colinas do Sul und Teresina de Goiás.
Der Chapada dos Veadeiros Nationalpark hat als Hauptattraktionen: den Wanderpfad der Schluchten und Cariocas, den Seriema Weg, die Travessia das Sete Quedas. Karussell und Stromschnellen und der Wander-Weg von Saltos.
Der Ort ist so schön! Sie können wandern,
Fauna und Flora beobachten,
im Fluss und im Wasserfall baden, in ein rustikales Camp gehen, Canyoning betreiben, klettern oder einfach die wunderschönen Landschaften betrachten und geniessen.
Wir haben diesen wunderschönen Park besucht, als wir Bilder für unser Buch 66 x Brasilien aufgenommen haben. Wir flogen nach Brasilia, mieteten ein Auto und fuhren weiter nach Alto Paraíso de Goiás, wo wir übernachteten. Von dort aus bis zum Parkeingang im Ortsteil São Jorge sind es 36 km.
Wir hatten das Vergnügen eine Wanderung voller wunderschöner Landschaften entlang des Canyons und Cariocas Trails (12 km Hin- und Zurück) zu unternehmen.
Die Strecke ist flach, felsig und ohne viele Anstiege. Während unseres Besuches war der Cerrado (Savannen) bunt, mit vielen Blumen und wir waren wirklich beeindruckt von der Schönheit dieses spektakulären Bioms, das der Cerrado ist.

Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park – Exuberance of the Cerrado
Are you a nature lover? Do you value beautiful flowers / plants? Would you like to get to know special places? If you answered yes to all three questions, I suggest that after the end of the pandemic, you pack your bags, get vaccinated against yellow fever (park recommendation) and travel to the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park when the cerrado plants (plants of the savannahs) bloom.
The Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park was established in 1961 and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2001. The entrance is about 260 km from Brasilia.
It is located in the northeastern part of the state of Goiás between the municipalities of São João d´Aliança, Nova Roma, Teresina de Goiás, Cavalcante and Alto Paraíso de Goiás.
According to ICMBIO it has an area of 240,611 hectares with mostly vegetative cerrado in height, it has rocks that are more than a billion years old, many springs and watercourses, and other spectacular landscapes. This park includes areas in the municipalities of Cavalcante, Alto Paraíso de Goiás, Colinas do Sul and Teresina de Goiás.
The Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park has as main attractions: the hiking trail of the gorges and Cariocas, the Seriema way, the Travessia das Sete Quedas. Carousel and rapids and the Saltos hiking trail.
The place is so beautiful! You can hike,
observe fauna and flora,
bathe in the river and waterfalls, go to a rustic camp, do canyoning, climb or simply look at and enjoy the beautiful landscapes.
We visited this beautiful park when we were taking pictures for our book 66 x Brazil. We flew to Brasilia, rented a car and drove on to Alto Paraíso de Goiás, where we stayed overnight. From there to the park entrance in the São Jorge district it is 36 km.
We had the pleasure of going on a hike full of beautiful landscapes along the Canyon and Cariocas Trails (12km round trip).
The route is flat, rocky and without many climbs. During our visit the cerrado (savannah) was colorful, with lots of flowers and we were really impressed by the beauty of this spectacular biome that the cerrado is.

Dubai, a pérola do Oriente Médio (Parte II)/Dubai – Perle des Nahen Ostens (Teil II)/Dubai – Pearl of the Middle East (Part II)
O que é incrível em Dubai é o rápido processo de expansão urbana que a cidade viveu. Imagine que em 1961, Dubai era uma simples cidade do deserto que vivia do cultivo de tâmaras, criação de camelos…
A partir de 1966, quando foi descoberto petróleo, a cidade sofreu um boom e atualmente é uma das cidades mais incríveis do mundo.
Há muitos shopping centers, cada um com atrações fascinantes.
O Wasi Shopping Center foi concebido inspirado no Egito, tem a forma de uma pirâmide e tem faraós sentados nos seus tronos (essa parte me lembra Las Vegas).
Tem outro shopping center, o Mall of the Emirates, que tem a maior pista de esqui indoor do mundo!
Existem áreas muito interessantes em Dubai que vale a pena passear: a área da Marina com lojas, restaurantes, cafés e boutiques;
a região onde está localizada o Atlantis The Palm, trata-se de uma ilha artificial om o shopping e o resort Atlantis, além de prédios residenciais de frente para o mar.
Um detalhe que me chamou a atenção nessa área: há um viaduto que é sustentado por árvores artificiais!!!!
Dubai está construindo outra ilha artificial, maior que a Palm Jumeirah. A praia de Jumeirah é muito bonita
e é lá onde está localizado o famoso hotel Burj Al Arab.
Nessa região há também o Souk Madinat, uma área comercial incrível!!!
Tem também outra parte da cidade chamada de City Walk, com bares, cafés e restaurantes. Por falar em bares, vale destacar que não é em toda parte que você pode tomar aquela cerveja. Com trata-se de um país mulçumano, a bebida somente é permitida em restaurantes de hotéis. No Shopping Souk Al Bahar, em frente ao Dubai Mall,
você pode beber algo no andar superior de um restaurante (na entrada do restaurante tem o cardápio e estava escrito: servimos álcool!). Por falar em bebida, o preço dela é caríssimo! Erich bebeu uma cerveja no hotel por 66 dirhams e eu tomei uma taça de vinho por 54 dirhams (1 dirham está em torno de R$ 1,26 reais)!!!
Gostaria de ressaltar uma informação importante sobre transporte em Dubai: táxis são mais baratos que UBER e eles usam taxímetro, tem câmaras dentro do taxi, tudo controlado, ou seja, é confiável usar táxi em Dubai!
Das 500 mesquitas existentes em Dubai, você pode visitar apenas a de Jumeirah (observe os trajes para entrar na mesquita).
Além disso tudo, Dubai tem também parques de diversões para crianças e adultos: Bollywood Parks Dubai, Motiongate Dubai e Legoland Dubai. Que cidade interessante!!!
Enfim, Dubai é uma cidade com arquitetura incrível,
com muitos atrativos que encantam o visitante, com um sistema de transporte ótimo, com shopping centers fabulosos, e que merece ser visitada inúmeros vezes!
Erich já está planejando outra visita, depois da EXPO 2021* e, claro após o final da pandemia!
*A EXPO aconteceria em 2020, porém, devido à pandemia do Coronavírus foi adiada para o período de 1º. de outubro de 2021 a 31 de março de 2022.

Dubai – Perle des Nahen Ostens (Teil II)
Das erstaunliche an Dubai ist der rasante Prozess der Stadterweiterung, den die Stadt erlebt hat. Stellen Sie sich vor, Dubai war 1961 eine einfache Wüstenstadt, die vom Anbau von Datteln und der Aufzucht von Kamelen lebte.
Ab 1966, als Öl entdeckt wurde, erlebte die Stadt einen Boom und ist derzeit eine der unglaublichsten Städte der Welt.
Es gibt viele Einkaufszentren mit faszinierenden Attraktionen.
Das Wasi Shopping Center wurde von Ägypten inspiriert, hat die Form einer Pyramide und Pharaonen sitzen auf ihren Thronen (dieser Teil erinnert mich an Las Vegas).
Es gibt ein weiteres Einkaufszentrum, die Mall of the Emirates, die die größte Indoor-Skipiste der Welt hat!
Es gibt sehr interessante Gegenden in Dubai, die einen Spaziergang wert sind: die Marina mit Geschäften, Restaurants, Cafés und Boutiquen;
die Region, in der sich Atlantis The Palm befindet, ist eine künstliche Insel mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und dem Atlantis Resort sowie Wohngebäuden mit Blick auf das Meer.
Ein Detail, das meine Aufmerksamkeit in diesem Bereich auf sich gezogen hat: Es gibt einen Viadukt, das von künstlichen Bäumen getragen wird !!!!
Dubai baut eine weitere künstliche Insel, die größer als Palm Jumeirah ist. Der Strand von Jumeirah ist sehr schön
und hier befindet sich das berühmte Burj Al Arab Hotel.
In dieser Ecke gibt es auch den Souk Madinat, ein weiteres beeindruckendes Einkaufsviertel!!!
Es gibt noch einen anderen Teil der Stadt, den City Walk, mit Bars, Cafés und Restaurants. Apropos Bars, es ist erwähnenswert, dass Sie nicht überall ein Bier haben können. Da es sich um ein muslimisches Land handelt, ist das Trinken alkoholischer Getränke nur in Hotelrestaurants gestattet.
Im Shopping Souk Al Bahar vor der Dubai Mall können Sie
in der obersten Etage eines Restaurants etwas trinken (am Eingang des Restaurants befindet sich die Speisekarte und es stand geschrieben: Wir servieren Alkohol!). Apropos Getränke, der Preis ist sehr teuer! Erich trank ein Bier im Hotel für 66 Dirham (etwa 11 und ich hatte ein Glas Wein für 54 Dirham (1 Dirham sind ungefähr 1,26 R $ Reais)!!!
Ich möchte eine wichtige Information über den Transport in Dubai hervorheben: Taxis sind billiger als UBER und sie benutzen einen Zähler, es gibt Kameras im Taxi, alles wird kontrolliert, das heißt, es ist zuverlässig, ein Taxi in Dubai zu benutzen!
Von den 500 Moscheen in Dubai können Sie nur die in Jumeirah besuchen (beachten Sie die Kleiderordnung, um die Moschee zu betreten).
Darüber hinaus gibt es in Dubai Vergnügungsparks für Kinder und Erwachsene: Bollywood Parks Dubai, Motiongate Dubai und Legoland Dubai. Was für eine interessante Stadt!!!
Wie auch immer, Dubai ist eine Stadt mit unglaublicher Architektur,
mit vielen Attraktionen, die den Besucher verzaubern, mit einem großartigen Verkehrssystem, fabelhaften Einkaufszentren und eine Stadt, die es verdient, mehrmals besucht zu werden!
Erich plant bereits einen weiteren Besuch nach der EXPO 2021 * und das natürlich nach dem Ende der Pandemie!

Dubai – Pearl of the Middle East (Part II)
The amazing thing about Dubai is the rapid process of urban expansion that the city has seen. Imagine if Dubai was a simple desert city in 1961, making a living from growing Datteln and raising camels …
From 1966, when oil was discovered, the city experienced a boom and is currently one of the most incredible cities in the world.
There are many shopping malls with fascinating attractions.
The Wasi Shopping Center was inspired by Egypt, has the shape of a pyramid and pharaohs sit on their thrones (this part reminds me of Las Vegas).
There is another mall, the Mall of the Emirates, which has the largest indoor ski slope in the world!
There are very interesting areas in Dubai that are worth a stroll: the Marina with shops, restaurants, cafes and boutiques;
the region where Atlantis The Palm is located is an artificial island with shopping and the Atlantis Resort and residential buildings overlooking the ocean.
One detail that caught my attention in this area: there is a viaduct supported by artificial trees !!!!
Dubai is building another man-made island larger than Palm Jumeirah. Jumeirah Beach is very beautiful
and this is where the famous Burj Al Arab Hotel is located.
In this corner there is also the Souk Madinat, another impressive shopping area !!!
There is another part of the city, the City Walk, with bars, cafes and restaurants. Speaking of bars, it’s worth noting that you can’t have a beer everywhere. As this is a Muslim country, drinking alcoholic beverages is only permitted in hotel restaurants.

you can have a drink on the top floor of a restaurant (the menu is at the entrance of the restaurant and it was written: We serve alcohol!). Speaking of drinks, the price is very expensive! Erich drank a beer in the hotel for 66 dirhams (about 11 €) and I had a glass of wine for 54 dirhams (1 dirham is about 1.26 R $ reais)!
I want to highlight one important piece of information about transportation in Dubai: taxis are cheaper than UBER and they use a meter, there are cameras in the taxi, everything is checked, it is reliable to use a taxi in Dubai!
Of the 500 mosques in Dubai, only the one in Jumeirah can be visited (note the dress code to enter the mosque).
There are also amusement parks for children and adults in Dubai: Bollywood Parks Dubai, Motiongate Dubai and Legoland Dubai. What an interesting city !!!
Anyway, Dubai is a city of incredible architecture
with many attractions to enchant the visitor with a great transportation system, fabulous shopping malls and a city that deserves to be visited several times!

Do Parque Denali ao Oceano Pacífico, no Alasca/VOM DENALI-PARK ZUM PAZIFIK IN ALASKA/FROM DENALI PARK TO THE PACIFIC IN ALASKA
Realizamos uma viagem muito interessante entre o Parque Nacional e Reserva Denali (constituído de 2,4 milhões de hectares de terra selvagem, incluindo o ponto mais alto da América do Norte, o Monte McKinley), com 6190 metros de altura), e o porto de Whittier, localizado na cidade de mesmo nome, no distrito de Valdez-Cordova, onde embarcamos numa viagem de cruzeiro.
Realizamos esse trajeto inicialmente de ônibus,
pernoitamos duas noites na cidade de Talkeetna,
onde realizamos um tour sobre “História e Natureza da Região”, onde também aprendemos sobre o povo, a língua, as cidades do Alasca, além de apreciar belas paisagens.
Além disso, também obtivemos informações sobre a profissão de “bush pilots”,que são pilotos que voam em pequenas aeronaves para lugares remotos do Alasca, locais onde não chegam automóveis, trens ou outro tipo de transporte terrestre. Eles desempenham um papel relevante, salvando vidas, resgatando pessoas em perigo, transportando pessoas que vivem longe de hospitais, atendendo emergências médicas. Eles pilotam aviões frágeis, mas, com tecnologia avançada. Muitos deles já perderam suas vidas. O termo “bush” se refere às áreas remotas. Continuamos a viagem no dia seguinte de trem.
Vale ressaltar a beleza do trem panorâmico, com um teto de vidro onde é possível ver toda a beleza do percurso, incluindo o céu, claro, que compreende 300 milhas (482,80 km).
O roteiro é preenchido por paisagens deslumbrantes onde foi possível avistar áreas de tundra e florestas de abeto, característicos do norte do Alaska, além de percorrer áreas que são inacessíveis de automóvel.
Erich e eu ficamos impressionados com a exuberância da vegetação. O percurso do trem seguiu margeando o rio e a rota é pontilhada com lagos, montanhas e muito verde.
Há momentos que passamos também áreas onde as pessoas têm casas nas margens do lago. Na rota do trem, já próximo ao final,
passamos por Anchorage e seguimos ao longo da trilha Coastal Trail, pelo menos em uma parte. A paisagem é deslumbrante.
Antes de chegar a Whittier atravessamos o Túnel Anton Anderson Memorial e continuamos através de uma visão panorâmica espetacular! Vale ressaltar que esse túnel é o túnel rodoviário mais longo (2,5 milhas/4,02 km) da América do Norte e o primeiro projetado para temperaturas de -40 Fahrenheit e ventos de 150 mph!
Até chegar a Whittier, a visão panorâmica é espetacular! Chegamos ao porto de Whitter e de lá embarcamos para a viagem em um cruzeiro, da Princess Cruises, pelo Alaska. Há dois portos para partidas de cruzeiros. O porto de Whittier é usado pela Princess Cruises e Holland America Cruise Line, enquanto os passageiros dos cruzeiros Celebrity, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line (RCCL), Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), Regent Seven Seas Cruises e outros utilizam o porto de Seward.
Definitivamente viajar pelo Alasca é uma experiência definitivamente inesquecível!

VOM DENALI-PARK ZUM PAZIFIK IN ALASKA
Wir machten eine sehr interessante Reise vom Denali-Nationalpark und dem Denali-Reservat (bestehend aus 2,4 Millionen Hektar wildem Land einschließlich des höchsten Berges in Nordamerika, dem Mount McKinley mit 6190 Metern) und dem Hafen Whittier im Bezirk Valdez-Cordova, von wo aus wir eine Alaska-Kreuzfahrt unternahmen.
Diese Reise begann zunächst mit dem Bus,
dann verbrachten wir zwei Nächte in der Stadt Talkeetna,
von wo aus wir eine Tour namens „Geschichte und Natur der Region“ machten, bei welcher wir neben vielen Informationen über die Menschen, die Sprache und die Städte Alaskas auch sehr schöne Landschaften genießen durften.
Darüber hinaus erfuhren wir viel über den Beruf der “Buschpiloten”, bei denen es sich um Piloten handelt, die kleine Flugzeuge zu total abgelegenen Orten in Alaska fliegen, wo Autos, Züge oder andere Landtransporte nicht hinkommen können. Sie spielen eine wichtige Rolle, retten Leben, retten Menschen in Not, transportieren Menschen, die weit entfernt von Krankenhäusern leben, und nehmen an medizinischen Notfällen teil. Sie fliegen zerbrechliche Flugzeuge jedoch mit fortschrittlicher Technologie. Viele von ihnen verloren hierbei auch ihr Leben. Der Begriff “Busch” bezieht sich auf diese total abgelegenen Gebiete.
Am nächsten Tag setzten wir dann unsere Reise mit einem Zug fort.
Erwähnenswert ist die Schönheit des Panoramazuges mit einem Glasdach, durch welches Sie die ganze Schönheit dieser 482,8 km langen Strecke genieen können.
Die Reiseroute ist voller atemberaubender Landschaften, in denen es uns möglich war, Regionen mit Tundra- und Tannenwäldern zu sehen, die für Nordalaska charakteristisch sind, sowie Gegenden zu bereisen, welche mit dem Auto nicht erreichbar sind.
Erich und ich waren beeindruckt von der Überschwänglichkeit der Vegetation. Die Zugfahrt führte weiter entlang Flüssen, vielen Seen, Bergen, Häusern an Seeufern und viel Grün.
Wir passierten Anchorage, dem Ausgangspunkt unserer Reise in Alaska,
und folgten zumindest teilweise dem Coastal Trail. Die Landschaft ist atemberaubend.
Bevor wir Whittier erreichten durchquerten wir den Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel, uns eröffneten sich spektakuläre Panoramaausblicke! Es ist erwähnenswert, dass dieser Tunnel der längste Straßentunnel (4,02 km) in Nordamerika ist, der für Temperaturen von -40 Fahrenheit und Winde von 150 Meilen pro Stunde ausgelegt ist!
In Whitter gibt es zwei Häfen für Kreuzfahrtschiffe. Der Hafen von Whittier wird von Princess Cruises und Holland America Cruise Line genutzt, während Passagiere von Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line (RCCL), Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), Regent Seven Seas Cruises den anderen Hafen von Seward nutzen.
Auf jeden Fall sind Reisen in Alaska ein unvergessliches Erlebnis!

FROM DENALI PARK TO THE PACIFIC IN ALASKA
We made a very interesting trip from Denali National Park and Denali Reserve (consisting of 2.4 million acres of wild land including the highest mountain in North America, Mount McKinley wit 6,190 meters) and Port Whittier in the Valdez-Cordova district, from where we took an Alaska cruise.
This trip started first with the bus,
then we spent two nights in the city of Talkeetna,
from where we did a tour called “History and Nature of the Region”, during which beside getting a lot of information about the people, the language and the cities of Alaska we were able to enjoy very beautiful landscapes.
We also learned a lot about the profession of “bush pilots,” who are pilots who fly small planes to totally remote locations in Alaska where cars, trains or other land transport cannot get. They play an important role, saving lives, saving people in need, transporting people who live far from hospitals and participating in medical emergencies. However, they fly fragile planes but with advanced technology. Many of them lost their lives in the process. The term “bush” refers to these totally remote areas.
The next day we continued our journey by train.
It is worth mentioning the beauty of the panoramic train with a glass roof through which you can enjoy the full beauty of this 482.8 km long route.
The itinerary is full of breathtaking landscapes where we were able to see regions of tundra and fir forests that are characteristic of northern Alaska as well as areas that are inaccessible by car.
Erich and I were impressed by the exuberance of the vegetation. The train journey continued along rivers, many lakes, mountains, houses on the banks of lakes and lots of greenery.
We passed Anchorage, the starting point of our trip in Alaska,
and at least partially we followed the Coastal Trail. The landscape is breathtaking.
Before we reached Whittier we crossed the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel and many spectacular panoramic views opened up! It’s worth noting that this tunnel is the longest road tunnel (4.02 km) in North America, rated for temperatures of -40 Fahrenheit and winds of 150 mph!
There are two cruise ship ports in Whitter. The port of Whittier is used by Princess Cruises and Holland America Cruise Line, whilst passengers of Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line (RCCL), Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), Regent Seven Seas Cruises the other port of Seward use.

Atenas, viva, caótica e fascinante/Athen, lebendig, chaotisch und faszinierend/Athens, lively, chaotic and fascinating
A primeira vez que ouvi falar de Atenas eu estava no início da minha adolescência e foi através das aulas de História da Prof. Lúcia. Nunca esqueci a imagem da Acrópole na capa do livro de História Geral, de autoria de Osvaldo de Souza.
Foi aí quando tomei conhecimento das civilizações clássicas e iniciou-se meu desejo de visitar Atenas, considerada berço da civilização ocidental e da democracia.
Coloquei meus pés pela primeira vez em Atenas numa madrugada de junho, quando cheguei no seu Aeroporto Internacional e de lá, Erich e eu, nos dirigimos para o porto de Pireu, com o intuito de tomar um barco para visitar algumas das famosas ilhas gregas. Dessa forma, somente tive o prazer de conhecer a caótica Atenas na volta.
Atenas é uma cidade extensa estabelecida entre sete colinas históricas, rodeada por montanhas notáveis, habitada por mais de três mil anos, com uma população aproximada de três milhões de habitantes e segundo sua tradição, foi fundada por Teseu. Já a mitologia diz que Atenas foi fundada por Atena, filha de Zeus, que fez brotar uma oliveira no local onde a cidade foi fundada.
Atenas é uma grande metrópole caracterizada por possuir um grande centro urbano e uma vasta área metropolitana.
A cidade é uma mistura confusa de traços modernos e históricos. Ela é famosa pelos seus monumentos arqueológicos e pelas suas ruínas.
Durante mais de dez séculos a Grécia esteve sob o domínio do Impérios Bizantino, o que justifica a existência de muitos monumentos e obras de arte que remetem a civilização de Constantinopla em muitas partes do país.
Os Jogos Olímpicos de 2004
proporcionaram à cidade a realização de muitas obras urbanísticas dotando Atenas de uma boa infraestrutura.
Ela é o principal centro cultural, comercial, econômico e financeiro da Grécia. Lembro que tivemos o prazer de caminhar bastante nas zonas monumentais da cidade,
que começa no Cerâmico, passa pela Ágora, pela Acrópole, e pelo Olympiéion
através das ruas Dionissiou Areopagitou e Vassilíssis Olgas e finaliza no Estádio Olímpico. Por falar em estádio, ressaltamos que é em Atenas onde está localizado o Estádio onde foram realizados os primeiros Jogos Olímpicos da era moderna, organizados por Pierre de Coubertain em 1896.
Há muito o que se visitar em Atenas, porém, nesse post, elegemos alguns pontos que consideramos visita obrigatória: Acrópole,
destaque para o Parthenon e o seu museu,
Ágora (antiga praça de Atenas), Cerâmico,
Praça Sintagma,
Plaka, Likavitós (Lykabettos ou Lykavittos) e Anafiotiká.
Dentre esses atrativos, o que mais me emocionou, me lembro muito bem, foi o Pártenon, o templo mais conhecido do mundo, que domina toda a área da Acrópole.
Quando fiquei frente a frente com essa maravilha, senti que meus olhos se encheram de lágrimas, foi emoção pura. Não sei, acho que como arquiteta, essa visão enfatizou o porquê de eu ter de ser escolhido a Arquitetura como profissão.
Se você é um apaixonado(a) por museus, cujo acervo é predominante relativo à civilização clássica.
Atenas possui muitos e aqui eu destaco que se você tiver tempo, vale a pena a visitar pelo menos alguns desses: Museu Nacional de Arqueologia,
Museu da Acrópole, Museu da Ágora, Museu Bizantino e Cristão, Museu Benaki, Novo Museu da Ácropole e Museu da Arte das Cíclades.
Vale destacar também o bairro antigo, mais famoso e mais típico de Atenas denominado Plaka, é também o mais turístico. As ruelas são sempre animadas (claro, antes da pandemia), há restaurantes e tabernas por todo o lado, bazares coloridos, vendedores ambulantes e claro, o aroma da cozinha grega. É o local ideal para caminhar sem rumo e relaxar depois de ver tantas maravilhas arqueológicas. Esse bairro é um verdadeiro labirinto com suas ruelas sinuosas.
Também vale a visita ao Monte Lycabettus, de onde é possível ter uma bela vista da cidade.
Nos arredores de Atenas há atrativos interessantes, ressaltamos a visita aos Mosteiros de Dafni
e de Kesariani.
Do Pireu até o Cabo Súnion é área chamada de Costa Ática
pontilhada por muitos balneários, vale realizar uma excursão pela bonita estrada panorâmica que circula o Golfo de Salónica.
Além de todos esses atrativos, a Grécia, possui uma gastronomia variada e saborosa, onde os ingredientes básicos são ervas aromáticas, azeite, alho, verduras, carne e peixe, mas, isso é assunto para outro post…

Athen, lebendig, chaotisch und faszinierend
Das erste Mal, dass ich von Athen hörte, war in meinen frühen Teenagerjahren und es war durch den Geschichtsunterricht von Prof. Lucia. Ich habe das Bild der Akropolis auf dem Cover des Buches der Allgemeinen Geschichte von Osvaldo de Souza nie vergessen.
Dort lernte ich die klassischen Zivilisationen kennen und mein Wunsch, Athen zu besuchen, das als Wiege der westlichen Zivilisation und Demokratie gilt, erwuchs damals.
Ich betrat Athen zum ersten Mal am frühen Morgen eines Juni, als ich am internationalen Flughafen ankam und von dort aus machten Erich und ich uns auf den Weg zum Hafen von Piräus, um eine Fähre zu nehmen, um einige der bekannten griechischen Inseln zu besuchen. Auf diese Weise hatte ich nur auf dem Rückweg das Vergnügen, das chaotische Athen zu besuchen.
Athen ist eine weitläufige Stadt inmitten von sieben historischen Hügeln, umgeben von bemerkenswerten Bergen. Seit mehr als dreitausend Jahren leben hier Menschen und die Stadt beherbergt ungefähr drei Millionen Einwohner.
Sie wurde ihrer Tradition nach von Theseus gegründet. Die Mythologie besagt, dass Athen von Athena, der Tochter des Zeus, gegründet wurde, die an dem Ort der Gründung einen Olivenbaum pflanzen ließ.
Athen ist eine große Metropole mit einem großen Stadtzentrum, sie ist eine verwirrende aus modernen und historischen Merkmalen.
Sie ist berühmt für seine archäologischen Denkmäler und Ruinen.
Sie stand mehr als zehn Jahrhunderte lang unter der Herrschaft des Byzantinischen Reiches, was die Existenz vieler Denkmäler und Kunstwerke rechtfertigt, die sich auf die Zivilisation von Konstantinopel in vielen Teilen des Landes beziehen.
Die Olympischen Spiele 2004
ermöglichten es der Stadt, viele städtische Arbeiten durchzuführen, wodurch Athen eine bessere Infrastruktur erzielte.
Athen ist das wichtigste kulturelle, kommerzielle, wirtschaftliche und finanzielle Zentrum in Griechenland. Ich erinnere mich, dass wir das Vergnügen hatten, viel in den monumentalen Bereichen der Stadt herum zu spazieren,
die in Cerâmico beginnen, durch Ágora, Acrópole und Olympiéion
durch die Straßen Dionissiou Areopagitou und Vassilíssis Olgas führen und am Olympiastadion enden.
In Bezug auf das Stadion ist nochmals darauf hinzuweisen, dass in Athen die ersten Olympischen Spiele der Neuzeit stattfanden, die 1896 von Pierre de Coubertain organisiert wurden.
Es gibt viel zu besuchen in Athen, aber für diesem Beitrag haben wir nur einige Punkte ausgewählt, die wir als obligatorisch betrachten: Akropolis,
Höhepunkt des Parthenons und seines Museums,
Ágora (antiker Athener Platz), Cerameikos,
Syntagma-Platz,
Plaka, Likavitós und Anafiotiká.
Was mich am meisten berührte, war wie ich mich sehr gut erinnere, der Parthenon, der bekannteste Tempel der Welt, der die gesamte Akropolis dominiert.
Als ich oben dann diesem Wunder ansichtig wurde fühlte ich Tränen in meinen Augen, pure Emotion. Ich weiß es nicht, aber ich denke, dass diese Vision genau das ausdrückt, warum ich Architektur als meinen Beruf wählte.
Athen offeriert viele Museen, besuchen Sie jedenfalls folgende, falls Sie die Zeit haben:
Nationales Museum für Archäologie,
Akropolis-Museum, Agora-Museum, Byzantinisches und Christliches Museum, Benaki-Museum, Neues Akropolis-Museum und Museum für kykladische Kunst.
Erwähnenswert ist auch die Altstadt, das berühmteste Viertel hier ist die Plaka. Sie ist auch die touristischste. Die Gassen sind immer lebhaft (natürlich vor der Pandemie), es gibt überall Restaurants und Tavernen, bunte Basare, Straßenverkäufer und natürlich das Aroma der griechischen Küche.
Es ist der ideale Ort, um ziellos herum zu wandern und sich zu entspannen, nachdem Sie so viele archäologische Wunder gesehen haben. Dieses Viertel ist ein echtes Labyrinth mit seinen verwinkelten Gassen.
Es lohnt sich auch, den Lykabettus zu besuchen, von wo aus man einen schönen Blick auf die Stadt hat.
In der Umgebung von Athen gibt es interessante Sehenswürdigkeiten, wir empfehlen hier den Besuch der Klöster von Dafni
und Kesariani.
Von Piräus bis zum Kap Súnion ist eine Region mit vielen Resorts, die attische Küste.
Es lohnt sich, einen Ausflug entlang der wunderschönen Panoramastraße zu unternehmen, die den Golf von Thessaloniki umrundet.
Zusätzlich zu all diesen Attraktionen bietet Griechenland eine abwechslungsreiche und schmackhafte Küche, in der die Grundzutaten aromatischer Kräuter, Olivenöl, Knoblauch, Gemüse, Fleisch und Fisch dominieren, aber das ist das Thema für einen anderen Beitrag …

Athens, lively, chaotic and fascinating
The first time I heard about Athens was in my early teens and it was through Prof. Lucia’s history class. I have never forgotten the image of the Acropolis on the cover of Osvaldo de Souza’s book of General History.
There I got to know the classical civilizations and my desire to visit Athens, which is considered to be the cradle of western civilization and democracy, arose at that time.
I entered Athens for the first time in the early morning of a June when I arrived at the international airport and from there Erich and I made our way to the port of Piraeus to take a ferry to visit some of the famous Greek islands. In this way I only had the pleasure of visiting chaotic Athens on the way back.
Athens is a sprawling city set in seven historic hills surrounded by remarkable mountains. People have lived here for more than three thousand years and the city is home to around three million people.
According to its tradition, it was founded by Theseus. Mythology says that Athens was founded by Athena, daughter of Zeus, who planted an olive tree on the site of the foundation.
Athens is a big metropolis with a big city center, it’s a confusing mix of modern and historical features.
It is famous for its archaeological monuments and ruins,
was under the rule of the Byzantine Empire for more than ten centuries, which justifies the existence of many monuments and works of art related to the civilization of Constantinople in many parts of the country.
The 2004 Olympics
allowed the city to do a lot of urban works, which gave Athens a better infrastructure.
Athens is the main cultural, commercial, economic and financial center in Greece. I remember that we had the pleasure of walking around a lot in the monumental areas of the city
that starts in Cerâmico, through Ágora, Acrópole and Olympiéion,
through Dionissiou Areopagitou and Vassilíssis Olgas streets and ends at the Olympic Stadium.
With regard to the stadium it should be pointed out again that Athens hosted the first modern Olympic Games, organized by Pierre de Coubertain in 1896.
There is a lot to visit in Athens, but for this post we have only selected a few points that we consider mandatory: Acropolis,
highlight of the Parthenon and its museum,

What touched me the most was, as I remember very well, the Parthenon, the most famous temple in the world, which dominates the entire Acropolis.
When I saw this miracle upstairs I felt tears in my eyes, pure emotion. I don’t know, but I think this vision expresses exactly why I chose architecture as my profession.
Athens has many museums,
but if you have the time visit the National Archeology Museum,
Acropolis Museum, Agora Museum, Byzantine and Christian Museum, Benaki Museum, New Acropolis Museum and Museum of Cycladic Art.
The old town is also worth mentioning, the most famous area here is the Plaka. It is also the most touristic. The alleys are always lively (before the pandemic of course), there are restaurants and taverns, colorful bazaars, street vendors and of course the aroma of Greek cuisine everywhere.
It’s the ideal place to wander aimlessly and relax after seeing so many archaeological wonders. This quarter is a real labyrinth with its winding streets.
It is also worth visiting the Lycabettus, from where you have a beautiful view of the city.
There are interesting sights in the vicinity of Athens, we recommend a visit to the monasteries of Dafni
and Kesariani.
From Piraeus to Cape Súnion is a region with many resorts, the Attic coast.
It is worth taking a trip along the beautiful panoramic road that circles the Gulf of Thessaloniki.
In addition to all of these attractions, Greece offers a varied and tasty cuisine in which the basic ingredients of aromatic herbs, olive oil, garlic, vegetables, meat and fish dominate, but that is the topic for another post …

Do que são feitas as viagens? Muitas delas são feitas de um sonho. De acordo com seus interesses, gostos e aptidões, você estuda, pesquisa e começa a sonhar em visitar um lugar. Foi assim comigo, quando adolescente, me lembro bem do livro de História Geral que tinha na capa uma foto da Acrópole de Atenas. Pronto! Desde aquela época sonhei em conhecer aquela maravilha.
Erich, por sua vez, realizou muitas viagens como consequência de seu trabalho na área do turismo juvenil, visitou inúmeros países, descobriu muitas cidades, algumas de grande beleza e outras nem tão belas assim.

Woraus bestehen Reisen? Viele von ihnen sind aus einem Traum gemacht. Entsprechend Ihren Interessen, Vorlieben und Fähigkeiten studieren, recherchieren und träumen Sie davon, einen Ort zu besuchen.
Für mich als Teenager war es so, ich erinnere mich an das Buch Allgemeine Geschichte, auf dessen Cover ein Foto der Akropolis von Athen abgebildet war. Bereit! Seit dieser Zeit habe ich davon geträumt, dieses Wunder kennenzulernen.
Erich seinerseits unternahm aufgrund seiner Arbeit im Bereich des Jugendtourismus viele Reisen, besuchte unzählige Länder, entdeckte viele Städte, einige von großer Schönheit und andere eben nicht ganz so schön.

What does travel consist of? Many of them are made from a dream. Study, research and dream of visiting a place according to your interests, preferences and skills.
It was like this with me as a teenager, I remember the book General History, which had a photo of the Acropolis of Athens on the cover. Ready! Since that time I have dreamed of getting to know this miracle.
Erich for his part due tof his work in the field of youth tourism, Er made many trips, visited countless countries, discovered many cities, some of great beauty and others even not quite so beautiful.
Based on our experiences, we have compiled a list of 12 articles that we consider “amazing journeys”.
We hope this can serve as a starting point for planning a special trip when the coronavirus pandemic ends, or that you can read more about the place that caught your attention, or even be able to create your own list of “amazing places”.

Oceania: da Nova Zelândia à Austrália 2018/19 (PARTE 2)/Oceania: Von New Zealand nach Australien 2018/19 (PART 2)/Oceania: From New Zealand to Australia 2018/19 (PART 2)
Passamos o Natal de 2018 em alto mar em algum lugar entre a Nova Zelândia e a Austrália rumo à Tasmânia.
E foi sensacionalmente relaxante e lindo (veja post aqui ).
No dia 26 de dezembro chegamos a Hobart na Tasmânia,
que já faz parte da Austrália e como sempre tínhamos reservado um dia de viagem com antecedência para aquele dia.
Primeiramente, visitamos o Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, uma reserva natural que abriga alguns dos povos indígenas mais famosos da Austrália, como coalas, demônios da Tasmânia e wombats, bem como cangurus.
A apenas 30 minutos de Hobart, esta reserva natural é administrada por uma equipe dedicada que está empenhada em ajudar os animais saudáveis a retornar à natureza.
A viagem continuou até Richmond, uma vila georgiana lindamente preservada, situada em terras agrícolas e vinícolas.
Richmond é uma vila de ardósia e paralelepípedos, tijolos feitos à mão, cabanas e mansões. Você verá a antiga prisão histórica e muitos dos edifícios bem preservados foram convertidos em lojas, galerias e salas de chá. Richmond é o lar da ponte, igreja e prisão mais antigas da Austrália.
O Rosny Point Lookout oferece amplas vistas panorâmicas do rio, da Ponte Tasman, de Hobart, do Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens e do Monte Wellington à distância. Veja também esse post.
Depois de mais um dia super agradável de verão em alto mar, o Princess Cruise chegou a Melbourne, a 262,8 SM (milhas náuticas), em 28 de dezembro de 2018, o que corresponde a 497,2 KM.
Melbourne, com 4,25 milhões de habitantes, é uma cidade extensa com muita cultura, arte, moda e australianos amigáveis e esportivos. É uma cidade fácil de explorar. O coração da cidade é formado pela Golden Mile.
Nossa excursão aqui em Victoria
nos levou ao mirante do Observatório do Monte Dandenong a 2.000 pés acima do nível do mar, com vistas deslumbrantes e belas paisagens.
Passamos pelas florestas de altas montanhas, da cordilheira Blue Dandenong,
onde visitamos uma das aldeias de montanha mais charmosas de Victoria, Sassafras. Nós dirigimos pela floresta de Sherbrooke
para ver algumas das espécies de madeira e pássaros mais altas do mundo, como roséis, kookaburras,

Nós também sentimos a atmosfera relaxante de Melbourne no porto da cidade antes e durante nossa jornada em direção a Sydney.
Chegamos lá no dia 30 de dezembro de 2018, finalizando nossa fantástica jornada após 13 dias e 2.230 milhas náuticas,
isso corresponde a 4.220 quilômetros e maravilhosas paradas e excursões na Nova Zelândia e Austrália.

Ozeanien: Von New Zealand nach Australien 2018/19 (PART 2)
Weihnachten 2018 verbrachten wir also auf hoher See irgendwo zwischen Neuseeland und Australien mit Kurs auf Tasmanien.
Und es war sensationell entspannend und wunderschön, siehe.
Am 26. Dezember erreichten wir dann Hobart auf Tasmanien,
das schon zu Australien gehört und auch für den Tag hier hatten wir wie immer einen Tagesausflug im Voraus gebucht.
Zunächst besuchten wir das Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, ein Naturschutzgebiet, in dem einige der berühmtesten Ureinwohner Australiens wie Koalas, tasmanische Teufel und Wombats sowie Kängurus und Wallabys leben.
Nur 30 Minuten außerhalb von Hobart wird dieses Naturschutzgebiet von engagierten Mitarbeitern betrieben, die sich dafür einsetzen, dass gesunde Tiere wieder in die Wildnis zurückkehren können.
Die Fahrt führte weiter nach Richmond, ein wunderschön erhaltenes georgianisches Dorf, eingebettet in Acker- und Weinland.
Richmond ist ein echtes Dorf aus Schiefer und Kopfsteinpflaster, handgefertigten Ziegeln, Cottages und Herrenhäusern. Sie sehen das historische alte Gefängnis und viele der gut- erhaltenen Gebäuden wurden zu Geschäften, Galerien und Teestuben umgebaut. In Richmond befindet sich Australiens älteste Brücke, Kirche und Gefängnis.
Der Rosny Point Lookout eröffnet einen weiten Panoramablick auf den Fluss, die Tasman Bridge, Hobart, die Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens und den Mount Wellington in der Ferne. Siehe auch.
Nach einem weiteren superangenehmen Sommertag auf hoher See erreichte dann die Princess Cruise am 28. Dezember 2018 das 262,8 SM (Seemeilen) entfernte Melbourne, das entspricht 497,2 KM.
Melbourne mit 4,25 Millionen Einwohnern ist eine weitläufige Stadt mit viel Kultur, Kunst, Mode und freundlichen, sportiven Australiern. Es ist eine leicht zu erkundende Stadt. Das Herzen der Stadt formt die Goldene Meile.
Unsere Tour hier in Victoria
brachte uns zum Aussichtspunkt des Mount Dandenong Observatoriums auf 2.000 Fuß über dem Meeresspiegel mit weitem Blick und einer wunderschönen Landschaft.
Wälder aus hoher Eberesche führen durch die spektakulären Blue Dandenong Ranges,

um einige der höchsten Hartholzarten und Vogelarten der Welt wie Rosellen, Kookaburras,

Die entspannte Atmosphäre Melbournes verspürten wir auch im Hafen der Stadt vor und während unserer Weiterreise in Richtung Sydney.

Oceania: From New Zealand to Australia 2018/19 (PART 2)
So we spent Christmas 2018 on the high sea somewhere between New Zealand and Australia heading for Tasmania.
And it was sensationally relaxing and beautiful. See post here.
On December 26th we reached Hobart in Tasmania,
which is already part of Australia and as always we had booked a day trip in advance for the day here.
First we visited the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, a nature reserve that is home to some of Australia’s most famous indigenous people such as koalas, Tasmanian devils and wombats, as well as kangaroos and wallabies.
Just 30 minutes outside of Hobart this nature reserve is run by dedicated staff who are committed to helping healthy animals return to the wild.
The journey continued to Richmond, a beautifully preserved Georgian village nestled in farmland and vineyards.
Richmond is a real village of slate and cobblestone, handcrafted brick, cottages and mansions. You will see the historic old prison and many of the well-preserved buildings have been converted into shops, galleries and tea rooms. Richmond is home to Australia’s oldest bridge, church and prison.
The Rosny Point Lookout offers expansive panoramic views of the river, Tasman Bridge, Hobart, the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, and Mount Wellington in the distance.See also this post.
After another super pleasant summer day on the high seas, the Princess Cruise reached Melbourne, 262.8 SM (nautical miles) on December 28, 2018, which corresponds to 497.2 KM.
Melbourne with 4.25 million inhabitants is a sprawling city with lots of culture, art, fashion and friendly sporty Australians. It’s an easy city to explore. The heart of the city is formed by the Golden Mile.
Our tour here in Victoria
brought us to the Mount Dandenong Observatory overlook at 2,000 feet above sea level with sweeping views and beautiful scenery.
Forests of tall mountain ash lead through the spectacular Blue Dandenong Ranges,
where we visited one of Victoria’s most charming mountain villages, Sassafras.
We drove through the Sherbrooke Forest
to see some of the tallest hardwood and bird species in the world such as rosels, kookaburras,

We also felt the relaxed atmosphere of Melbourne in the city harbor before and during our onward journey towards Sydney.
We arrived there on December 30th 2018, the end of our fantastic cruise journey after 13 days and 2,230 nautical miles,
that corresponds to 4,220 kilometers and wonderful stops and excursions in New Zealand and Australia.

Oceania: da Nova Zelândia à Austrália 2018/19 (PARTE 1)/Ozeanien: Von New Zealand nach Australien 2018/19 (PART 1)/Oceania: From New Zealand to Australia 2018/19 (PART 1)
Ao planejar nossa turnê mundial de 66 dias entre 2018/19, surgiu a questão de onde e, acima de tudo, como iríamos passar o Natal e Reveillon.
Como entusiasta dos cruzeiros, naveguei pelos catálogos de vários fornecedores e finalmente encontrei uma oferta que imediatamente me inspirou e cujo itinerário gostaríamos de apresentar e aproximar você no blog a seguir.
Depois de uma viagem muito agradável com grandes estadias ao longo da rota sul do Chile – a Ilha de Páscoa
e Tahiti
chegamos a Auckland, na Nova Zelândia, em dezembro de 2018 e fazia calor no verão no hemisfério sul.
Nosso navio de cruzeiro, o Princess Cruises, zarpou no dia 18 de dezembro às 18h e na manhã seguinte chegamos a Tauranga, onde já havíamos reservado a seguinte excursão em terra com antecedência: Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland e almoço
Durante uma hora e meia de carro nos dirigimos para o porto do Monte Maunganui, passamos por muitas belas paisagens, incluindo o cintilante Lago Rotorua.
Como em todas as regiões geotérmicas, o cheiro de sulfeto de hidrogênio permeia a atmosfera.
Wai-O-Tapu em Maori significa “Águas Sagradas”, esta área exótica é considerada a região vulcânica natural mais colorida da Nova Zelândia. O vale térmico Wai-O-Tapu de 11 quilômetros quadrados foi formado há milhares de anos por atividade vulcânica e é mundialmente famoso por suas fontes de cores naturais, lama borbulhante, pisos fumegantes, vistas amplas, enormes crateras vulcânicas e muitos terraços sinterizados – formações que podem só podem ser alcançadas a pé.
Assim que chegamos na área do Wai-O-Tapu, seguimos nosso guia por uma caminhada de um quilômetro e meio até o coração do parque para uma visão de perto deste “país das maravilhas termais”.
Lago Rotorua – A cor verde-amarelada única do lago, formada a partir da cratera de um grande vulcão adormecido, é devido ao alto teor de enxofre e outros minerais vulcânicos.
Passamos todo o dia seguinte, quinta-feira, 20 de dezembro, da forma mais agradável possível, navegando, em um ambiente fantástico, de verão e descontraído. Nossa parada de viagem no dia seguinte foi Akaora, sexta-feira, 21 de dezembro de 2018.
AKAROA é um destino turístico popular com um toque decididamente francês. Ruas com nomes franceses que levam a restaurantes de culinária francesa e arquitetura colonial. O legado de Akaroa como a única paróquia fundada na França na Nova Zelândia é inconfundível.
Existem muitos locais e excursões em oferta. Decidimos fazer um longo tour pelos locais onde foram filmadas cenas do Senhor dos Anéis.
O Senhor dos Anéis é uma série de três filmes épicos de aventura e fantasia dirigidos por Peter Jackson, baseados no romance de J. R. R. Tolkien. Os filmes são um projeto internacional entre a Nova Zelândia e os Estados Unidos.
O passeio nos levou por muitas paisagens impressionantes com muitas oportunidades para fotografia. (Veja também o post “Visita ao Condado Hobbiton”.
Então, no sábado, dia 22 de dezembro, já fizemos nossa próxima parada em Dunedin (Port Chalmers).
Apelidada de “Edimburgo da Nova Zelândia”, Dunedin é uma cidade kiwi com um coração escocês e orgulhosa de sua herança. Port Chalmers, a porta de entrada para Dunedin, fica a 12,8 km do centro da cidade.
Como excursão reservamos a ferrovia Taieri Gorge (um passeio de trem)
e curtir a fotogênica Dunedin Train Station
A ferrovia Taieri Gorge é uma viagem de trem pela remota paisagem montanhosa do desfiladeiro do rio Taieri. Viagem com conforto em vagões antigos ou modernos, todos equipados com aquecimento.
Enquanto estivemos no trem, aproveitamos as paradas para fotografas as vistas panorâmicas e, finalmente, direcionar as lentes para a famosa Estação Ferroviária de Dunedin, uma joia da coroa arquitetônica da Nova Zelândia.
Carinhosamente apelidado de “Gingerbread George”, é a maior “casa de pão gengibre” que você já viu (veja também o post “O espetacular passeio de trem em Dunedin”.
Em 23 de dezembro de 2018 nosso navio realizou um cruzeiro panorâmico no Parque Nacional Fiordland, uma experiência fenomenal. Esta foi a minha segunda vez neste local e mais uma vez fiquei profundamente impressionado com esta maravilhosa paisagem natural.
No coração do Parque Nacional Fiordland está Milford Sound, ladeado por penhascos rochosos que se elevam a quase uma milha de altura. Ele penetra profundamente no coração dos Alpes do Sul.
A floresta tropical se apega aos penhascos e cachoeiras graciosas mergulham no espaço. O Pico Mitre com quase dois quilômetros de altura domina a parte superior do fiorde.
A partir daqui nossa jornada nos levou à Austrália e isso significava que agora passaríamos os próximos 2 dias, ou seja, 24 e 25 de dezembro de 2018 em alto mar
e estávamos ambos muito animados para ver como seria o “Natal em alto mar”, ambos tão longe de nossa casa no Brasil, em algum lugar entre a Nova Zelândia e a Austrália. (Veja também o post que contamos como foi nossa experiência).

Ozeanien: Von Neuseeland nach Australien 2018/19 (PART 1)
Bei der Planung unserer 66tägigen Weltreise 2018/19 stellte sich in einem Moment die Frage, wo und v.a. wie wir das diesbezügliche Weihnachtsfest und den Jahreswechsel (Silvester und Neujahr) verbringen werden würden.
Als begeisterter Anhänger von Kreuzfahrten durchstöberte ich somit auch die hierzu vorliegenden Kataloge verschiedenster Anbieter und stieβ schlieβlich auf eine Offerte, die mich sofort begeisterte und deren Reiseverlauf wir Ihnen im Folgenden Blog vorstellen und nahebringen möchten.
Nach einer sehr angenehmen Anreise mit tollen Aufenthalten entlang der Südroute Chile – die Osterinseln
– Tahiti
erreichten wir Auckland in Neuseeland im Dezember 2018 und es war sommerlich warm auf der Südhalbkugel.
Nach wunderschönen Tagen in Auckland
stach unser Kreuzfahrtschiff, die Princess Cruises, am 18. Dezember um 18 Uhr in See und schon am nächsten Morgen erreichten wir Tauranga, wo wir schon im Voraus den folgenden Landausflug gebucht hatten.
Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland & Lunch Cruise
Während der anderthalb Stunden Fahrt zum und vom Hafen des Mount Maunganui reisten wir durch viele herrliche Landschaften, einschließlich des glitzernden Rotorua-Sees.
Wie in allen geothermischen Regionen durchdringt der Geruch von Schwefelwasserstoff die Atmosphäre.
Wai-O-Tapu auf Maorisprache bedeutet “Sacred Waters” (Heilige Gewässer), dieses exotische Gebiet gilt als Neuseelands farbenfrohste natürliche vulkanische Region. Das 11 Quadratkilometer große Wai-O-Tapu-Thermotal wurde vor Tausenden von Jahren durch vulkanische Aktivitäten geformt und ist weltberühmt für seine natürlich gefärbten Quellen, den sprudelnden Schlamm, den dampfenden Böden, die weiten Ausblicke, die riesigen Vulkankrater und die vielen Sinter-terrassen-formationen die nur zu Fuß erreichbar sind.
Sobald Sie angekommen sind, folgen Sie Ihrem Führer auf einem anderthalb Meilen langen Spaziergang ins Herz des Parks, um dieses “thermische Wunderland” ganz aus der Nähe zu betrachten.
See Rotorua – Die einzigartige dunkelgrün-gelbe Farbe des Sees, die aus dem Krater eines großen schlafenden Vulkans gebildet wird, ist auf den hohen Gehalt an Schwefel und anderen vulkanischen Mineralien zurückzuführen.
Den ganzen nächsten Tag, Donnerstag, den 20. Dezember, verbrachten wir wie immer auf angenehmste Weise auf hoher See in fantastischer, sommerlicher, entspannter Atmosphäre.
Unser nächster Stopp mit Tagesausflug war Akaora, Freitag, 21. Dezember 2018.
AKAROA ist ein beliebtes Touristenziel mit einem ausgesprochen französischen Flair. Straßen mit französischen Namen, die zu Restaurants führen mit französischer Küche und Kolonialarchitektur. Akaroas Erbe als einzige von Frankreich gegründete Gemeinde in Neuseeland ist unverkennbar.
Es gibt viele Sehenswürdigkeiten und Ausflüge im Angebot. Wir beschlossen, die lange Tour zu Lord of the Rings Drehorten zu machen.
Der Herr der Ringe ist eine Filmreihe von drei epischen Fantasy-Abenteuerfilmen unter der Regie von Peter Jackson, die auf dem Roman von J. R. R. Tolkien basieren. Die Filme sind ein internationales Projekt zwischen Neuseeland und den Vereinigten Staaten.
Die Tour führte uns durch viele beeindruckende Landschaften mit vielen Möglichkeiten zum Fotografieren.

Dann, am Samstag, den 22. Dezember, hatten wir bereits unseren nächsten Stopp in Dunedin (Port Chalmers).
Dunedin ist eine Kiwi-Stadt mit einem schottischen Herzen, das als “Edinburgh von Neuseeland” bezeichnet wird, und ist stolz auf sein Erbe. Port Chalmers, das Tor zu Dunedin, liegt 13 km vom Stadtzentrum entfernt.
Als Ausflug buchten wir hier die Taieri Gorge Railway (eine Zugfahrt)
und genossen die fotogene Dunedin Train Station (Bahnhof)
Die Taieri Gorge Railway ist eine Zugreise durch die abgelegene Berglandschaft der Taieri River Gorge (Schlucht). Sie reisen bequem in Oldtimern oder modernen Wagen, die alle vollständig mit Heizung ausgestattet sind.
Während Sie im Zug sind genießen Sie Fotostopps mit malerischen Ausblicken und können dann Ihr Objektiv auf den berühmten Bahnhof Dunedin richten, ein Juwel in Neuseelands architektonischer Krone.
Liebevoll mit dem Spitznamen “Gingerbread George” bezeichnet, ist es das großartigste “Lebkuchenhaus”, das Sie jemals gesehen haben werden (siehe auch post).
Am 23. Dezember 2018 realisierte unser Schiff dann eine landschaftlich reizvolle Kreuzfahrt im Fjordland-Nationalpark, ein phänomenales Erlebnis. Ich war jetzt zum zweiten Mal hier und war wieder tief beeindruckt von dieser so wunderschönen Naturlandschaft.
Im Herzen des Fiordland National Park liegt der Milford Sound, von Felsklippen gesäumt, die fast eine Meile hoch in den Himmel ragen. Er schneidet tief in das Herz der Südalpen hinein.
Regenwald klammert sich an die Klippen und anmutige Wasserfälle stürzen ins Leere. Der meilenhohe Mitre Peak dominiert den oberen Bereich des Fjordes.
Von hier aus führte nun unsere Reise in Richtung Australien und das bedeutete, daβ wir nun die nächsten 2 Tage, also den 24. und 25. Dezember 2018 auf hoher See verbringen würden
und wir beide waren sehr darauf gespannt, wie sich „Weihnachten auf hoher See“ wohl anfühlen wird, wir beide so weit weg von unserem Zuhause in Brasilien irgendwo zwischen Neuseeland und Australien. Siehe auch post.

When planning our 66-day world tour2018/19 the question arose where and, above all, how we would spend the relevant Christmas and New Years Eve.
As an enthusiastic supporter of cruises I browsed through the catalogs from various providers and finally came across an offer that immediately inspired me and whose itinerary we would like to introduce and bring you closer to in the following blog.
After a very pleasant journey with great stays along the southern route Chile – the Easter Islands
– Tahiti
we reached Auckland in New Zealand in December 2018 and it was warm in the summer of the southern hemisphere.
After some wonderful days in Auckland
our cruise ship, the Princess Cruises, set sail on December 18th at 6 p.m. and the next morning we reached Tauranga, where we had already booked the following shore excursion in advance.
Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland & Lunch Cruise
During the hour-and-a-half journey to and from the port of Mount Maunganui we travelled through plenty of magnificent scenery including the sparkling Rotorua lakefront.
As with all geothermal regions the smell of hydrogen sulphide permeates the atmosphere.
Maori for “Sacred Waters,” this exotic area is considered New Zealand’s most colorful natural volcanic environment. Sculpted by thousands of years of volcanic activity, the eleven-square-mile Wai-O-Tapu thermal valley is world famous for its naturally colored springs, bubbling mud, steaming ground, expansive vistas, huge volcanic craters and sinter terrace formations, many of which can only be accessed by foot.
Once you arrive, you’ll follow your guide on a mile-and-a-half trek into the heart of the park for close-up views of this “thermal wonderland.”
Lake Rotorua
Formed from the crater of a large dormant volcano, the lake’s unique dark green-yellow color is due to the high content of sulphur and other volcanic minerals.
As always we spent the whole of the next day, Thursday, December 20th, in the most pleasant way possible in a fantastic, summery, relaxed atmosphere.
Our next day trip stop was Akaora on Friday 21 December 2018
AKAROA is a popular tourist destination with a distinctly French flair.
With French-named streets leading to restaurants serving French cuisine and colonial architecture all around, Akaroa’s heritage as the only French-founded community in New Zealand is unmistakable.
There are plenty of Points of Interest and excursions. We decided to make a long tour to some Lord of the Rings film spots.
The Lord of the Rings is a film series of three epic fantasy adventure films directed by Peter Jackson, based on the novel written by J. R. R. Tolkien. The films are an international venture between New Zealand and the United States.
The tour brought us through many impressive landscapes with many possibilities for doing photos. (see also the post….).
Then, on Saturday 22 December, we had already our next stop in Dunedin (Port Chalmers).
Dunedin is a Kiwi city with a Scottish heart hailed as the “Edinburgh of New Zealand,” and is proud of its heritage. Port Chalmers, gateway to Dunedin, is located eight miles from the city center.
As an excursion we booked here the Taieri Gorge Railway
and enjoyed the photogenic Dunedin Train Station.

While on the train, you’ll enjoy photo stops at scenic vistas, (weather, time and operational conditions permitting) and then will have a chance to point your lens toward the famed Dunedin Railway Station, a jewel in New Zealand’s architectural crown.
Lovingly nicknamed “Gingerbread George,” it is the grandest “gingerbread house” you’ll ever see.(see also the post).
On 23. December 2018 then our ship realized a scenic cruising in the Fjordland National Park, a phenomenal experience, I was here now the second time and again I was deeply impressed about this wonderful nature landscape.
At the heart of Fiordland National Park lies Milford Sound. Lined by cliffs that soar nearly a mile above its surface, Milford Sound cuts into the heart of the Southern Alps.
Rainforest clings to the cliffs and graceful waterfalls plummet into the void. Mile-high Mitre Peak dominates the upper reaches of the sound.
From here the cruise took the Direction to Australia and that meant, that we spent the next 2 days on sea, 24 and 25 December 2018
and we both looked very much forward how „CHRISTMAS ON SEA“ will feel like, us both so far away from our home in Brasil somewhere between New Zealand and Australia. See our post about this experience.

Parquemet: encontro com a natureza na grande Santiago/Parquemet – Begegnung mit der Natur im Großraum Santiago/Parquemet – Encounter with nature in the greater Santiago area
Um dos passeios mais agradáveis para se fazer em Santiago é visitar o Parquemet, o maior parque urbano da América Latina.
Santiago tem 20 parques em sua área metropolitana, o Parquemet tem mais de 700 hectares e foi criado em 1917.
Esse parque tem sete setores e o mais visitado, principalmente por turistas é o “Sector Cumbre”,
onde está localizado o Santuário Imaculada Conceição, no Monte de São Cristóvão.
O alto desse monte é alcançado de carro, a pé, de bicicleta, de funicular
e de teleférico. Erich e eu visitamos o alto desse monte de teleférico.
Quando você vai comprar o ingresso é preciso escolher qual tipo de ticket vai ser comprado, pois existe mais de uma opção: subir e descer de teleférico na mesma entrada, o parque tem quatro acessos principais, (Pio Nono, Pedro de Valdivia, Zapadores, La Pirâmide), e subir de teleférico até o Santuário e descer de “funicular” pelo outro lado do parque.
Á área é grande e as possibilidades são muitas. A entrada do parque é grátis, você só paga para usar o teleférico e o funicular. Vimos pessoas correndo, caminhando, subindo o morro de bicicleta.
O Parquemet oferece várias opções de lazer aos visitantes: playground, grandes piscinas públicas, o Zoológico Nacional, nos finais de semana há aulas de ginástica, pilates, dentre outras atividades gratuitas. Há trilhas exclusivas para ciclistas e para caminhadas. O parque também oferece atividades de educação ambiental.
Como mencionamos anteriormente, usamos o teleférico,
ele faz duas paradas, sendo que a primeira, é o acesso ao Zoológico.
A vista do alto do Morro de São Cristóvão é um dos cartões postais de Santiago, de onde se avista a Cordilheira dos Andes, além das outras montanhas que emolduram a cidade.
Enfim, o Parquemet é definitivamente um passeio agradável para se fazer na capital do Chile.

Eine der angenehmsten Touren in Santiago ist der Besuch von Parquemet, dem größten Stadtpark Lateinamerikas.
Santiago hat 20 Parks in seiner Metropolregion, Parquemet erstreckt sich über mehr als 700 Hektar und wurde 1917 gegründet.
Dieser Park besteht aus sieben Sektoren und der meistbesuchte, hauptsächlich von Touristen, ist der „Sector Cumbre“,
in dem sich das Imaculada Conceição Sanctuary am Monte de São Cristóvão befindet.
Die Spitze dieses Hügels erreichen Sie mit dem Auto, zu Fuß, mit dem Fahrrad, Funicular (Standseilbahn)
und mit der Seilbahn.
Erich und ich besuchten den Gipfel via Seilbahn.
Wenn Sie das Ticket kaufen, müssen Sie auswählen, welche Art von Ticket Sie kaufen möchten, da es mehr als eine Option gibt: Steigen Sie am selben Eingang in die Seilbahn ein und aus, der Park verfügt über vier Hauptzugänge (Pio Nono, Pedro de Valdivia, Zapadores, La Pirâmide) und nehmen Sie die Seilbahn bis zum Heiligtum und fahren Sie dann mit der Standseilbahn auf der anderen Seite des Parks wieder hinunter.
Das Areal ist sehr groß und die Möglichkeiten sind vielfältig. Der Eintritt in den Park ist frei, Sie zahlen nur für die Benutzung der Seilbahn und der Standseilbahn. Wir sahen Leute joggen, gehen und den Hügel hinauf radeln.
Das Parquemet bietet Besuchern verschiedenste Freizeitmöglichkeiten: Spielplatz, große öffentliche Schwimmbäder, Nationaler Zoo, am Wochenende gibt es Fitnesskurse, Pilates und andere kostenlose Aktivitäten. Es gibt exklusive Wege für Radfahrer und zum Wandern. Der Park bietet auch Aktivitäten zur Umwelterziehung.
Wie bereits erwähnt, benutzten wir die Seilbahn,
die zwei Haltestellen offeriert, von denen die erste den Zugang zum Zoo ist.
Der Blick vom Gipfel des Morro de São Cristóvão ist eine der Postkartenansichten von Santiago, von wo aus Sie neben den weiteren Bergen, die die Stadt umrahmen, sogar die Anden sehen können.
Auf jeden Fall ist das Parquemet definitiv ein angenehmer Ausflug in der Hauptstadt von Chile.

Parquemet – Encounter with nature in the greater Santiago area
One of the most pleasant tours in Santiago is to visit Parquemet, the largest urban park in Latin America.
Santiago has 20 parks in its metropolitan area, Parquemet covers more than 700 hectares and was founded in 1917.
This park consists of seven sectors and the most visited, mainly by tourists, is the “Sector Cumbre”,
where the Imaculada Conceição Sanctuary is located on Monte de São Cristóvão.
The top of this hill can be reached by car, on foot, by bike, “Funicular”
and by cable car.
Erich and I visited the summit by cable car.
When buying the ticket, you have to choose what type of ticket you want as there is more than one option: get on and off the cable car at the same entrance, the park has four main entrances (Pio Nono, Pedro de Valdivia, Zapadores, La Pirâmide) and take the cable car up to the sanctuary and then take the funicular down on the other side of the Park.
The area is very large and the possibilities are diverse. Entry to the park is free, you only pay to use the cable car and the funicular. We saw people jogging, walking, and cycling up the hill.
The Parquemet offers visitors a wide variety of leisure activities: playgrounds, large public swimming pools, national zoo, on weekends there are fitness classes, Pilates and other free activities. There are exclusive trails for cycling and hiking. The park also offers environmental education activities.
As already mentioned, we used the cable car,
which offers two stops, the first of which is the entrance to the zoo.
The view from the summit of Morro de São Cristóvão is one of the postcard – views of Santiago, from where you can even see the Andes in addition to the other mountains that frame the city.
In any case the Parquemet is definitely a pleasant outing in the capital of Chile.
