LITORAL SUL DA PARAÍBA/DIE SÜDKÜSTE VON PARAÍBA/THE SOUTH COAST OF PARAÍBA

O Brasil tem quase 8.000 km de costa recheado com praias de grande beleza. A região nordeste concentra muitas das belas praias do nosso país. A Paraíba tem138 km de praias belas e as do litoral sul tem fácil acesso.

Erich eu e visitamos uma parte do litoral sul paraibano e dividimos com vocês um pouco do que vimos por lá.

Iniciamos nosso passeio parando em uma parte da cidade onde é possível ter uma vista de Cabo Branco e Tambaú e a a partir daí, seguimos para a Barra de Gramame. Praia linda, com mar tranquilo e muitas barracas para você passar o dia, almoçar por lá.

Depois de Gramame, seguimos para a Praia do Amor e fizemos uma foto na famosa Pedra Furada, que somente aparece quando a maré está baixa.

A nossa próxima parada foi a Praia da Jacumã, distante 29 km, a localidade com mais infraestrutura do litoral sul da Paraíba, com muitas casas de veraneio. A praia não se encontra em boas condições pois parte das casas à beira-mar foram destruídas pelo mar e por ordem judicial do Patrimônio da União.

O nosso passeio continuou e chegamos em um lugar com uma vista paradisíaca: mirante entre as praias de Carapibus e Tabatinga. Lindo demais!!!

Após esse mirante chegamos no Mirante da praia de Tambaba, outro ponto com vista deslumbrante.

Desse ponto pudemos avistar os cânions da praia de Tabatinga, maravilha da natureza!

Descemos para a famosa praia de Tambaba.

A praia de Tambaba, distante 39 km de João Pessoa, está localizada à Barra de Garaú e nela foi instalado o primeiro campo de naturismo oficial da região nordeste, o segundo do Brasil. Quando você chega na praia, há uma parte onde as pessoas estão vestidas e há o acesso, através de uma falésia, da parte naturista, onde somente acessam as pessoas que realmente vão praticar o naturismo.

Se esse não for o seu caso, você fica na primeira parte da praia, foi onde ficamos.

Depois de Tambaba, voltamos pela PB-008 e fomos a praia de Coqueirinho. Há uma parte com uma baía tranquila (Coqueirinho Sul), pequena, ótima para banho, porém, você paga R$ 30,00 somente para sentar nas cadeiras. Na outra parte da praia, com o mar mais revolto e agitado, há uma grande concentração de barracas. Quando chegamos fomos imediatamente abordados pelos garçons oferecendo mesa e cardápio para que ficássemos por ali. Nessa parte você não paga para sentar, apenas paga o seu consumo.

Das praias visitadas, as que nos encantaram pela beleza espetacular foram Carapibus, Tabatinga, Coqueirinho Sul e a pequena praia de Tambaba, a parte que não é para a prática de naturismo.

Você pode alugar um carro e ir visitando cada uma das praias. O acesso principal é feito pela rodovia estadual PB -008 e a partir dela há os acessos para as praias. Alguns desses acessos não são pavimentados. As agências de turismo oferecem passeio ao Litoral Sul para visitar Barra de Gramame, Praia do Amor, Coqueirinho e Tambaba, com a praia Bela como opcional por R$ 60,00 por pessoa. No hotel onde estávamos a agência de turismo cobrava R$ 95,00 por pessoa. Tinha outra agência que cobrava R$ 65,00 por pessoa num automóvel tipo Doblò, mas o passeio somente aconteceria se tiver no mínimo 3 pessoas. Há também o passeio de buggy, o preço era de R$ 370,00, se fosse apenas o casal. Nesse caso, o trajeto não é realizado totalmente pelo litoral, o buggy segue pela PB-008 e entra nos acessos às praias. No nosso caso, fizemos esse passeio de taxi (taxista Pedro – 819393-2679, pagamos R$ 200,00).

DIE SÜDKÜSTE VON PARAÍBA

Brasilien hat fast 8.000 km Küste mit schönen Stränden. Auf den Nordosten des Landes konzentrieren sich sehr viele dieser wunderschönen Strände. Paraíba verfügt über 138 km Strände und ihre Südküste offeriert zudem einen leichten Zugang.

Erich und ich besuchten einen Teil dieser Südküste von Paraiba und möchten unsere Impressionen gerne mit Ihnen teilen.

Wir beginnen unsere Tour mit einem ersten Zwischenstopp mit Blick auf Cabo Branco und Tambaú, von dort ging es dann weiter nach Barra de Gramame. Ein schöner Strand mit ruhigem Meer und vielen kleinen einfachen Restaurants, um dort den Tag zu verbringen und Mittag zu essen.

Von Gramame aus fuhren wir zum Strand Praia do Amor und fotografierten dort den bekannten Felsen Pedra Furada, der nur bei Ebbe sichtbar wird.

Unser nächster Halt war in Jacumã Beach, 29 km von João Pessoa entfernt, der bekannteste Ort an der Südküste von Paraíba, mit sehr vielen Sommerhäusern. Der Strand ist nicht in bestem Zustand, da ein Teil der Häuser durch das Meer und einer Gerichtsverordnung des Küstenschutzes folgend zerstört wurden.

Unsere Tour führte uns weiter an einen Ort mit einer paradiesischen Aussicht: ein Aussichtspunkt zwischen den Stränden von Carapibus und Tabatinga.

Danach erreichen wir Tambaba Beach, ein weiterer Ort mit einer atemberaubenden Aussicht. Von dort aus konnten wir die wuchtigen Felsklippen des Strandes von Tabatinga sehen, ein Wunder der Natur!

Dann steigen wir hinunter zum berühmten Tambaba Strand.

Der Strand Tambaba ist 39 km von João Pessoa entfernt und befindet sich in Barra de Garaú. Es war der erste offizielle FKK-Strand im Nordosten, der zweite in ganz Brasilien.

Wenn Sie am Strand ankommen, gibt es einen Teil, wo die Leute bekleidet sind und es gibt einen Zugang durch eine Klippe zum FKK-Bereich.

Von Tambaba aus fuhren wir dann anschlieβend auf der PB-008 zum Strand von Coqueirinho. Es gibt einen Bereich mit einer ruhigen Bucht (Coqueirinho Sul), klein, ideal zum Baden, aber Sie zahlen 30 R$, nur um dort auf Liegestühlen sitzen zu dürfrn. Auf der anderen Seite des Strandes mit der rauen und aufgewühlten See gibt es eine große Konzentration von barracas (einfache Strandkneipen/Kioske). Als wir ankamen wurden wir sofort von sehr vielen Kellnern eingeladen uns doch zu setzen. In diesem Teil zahlen Sie nichts, um sich zu setzen, Sie zahlen nur Ihren Konsum.

Von den besuchten Stränden bezauberten uns Carapibus, Tabatinga, Coqueirinho Sul und der kleine Nicht-FKK-Bereich des Strandes von Tambaba.

Sie können ein Auto mieten und jeden dieser Strände besuchen. Der Hauptzugang erfolgt über die Straβe PB-008. Einige dieser Zugangsstraβen sind allerdings nicht asphaltiert. Reisebüros bieten Ausflüge zu den Stränden der Südküste für etwa 60 R$ pro Person an. Da die Preise sehr variieren lohnt es sich sehr, sich über die Art und Weise des Ausfluges zu informieren.

In unserem Fall haben wir unseren Ausflug mit einem Taxi nach unseren Bedürfnissen organisiert und wir waren sehr zufrieden damit (Taxifahrer Pedro – 819393-2679, wir haben 200 R$ bezahlt).

THE SOUTH COAST OF PARAÍBA

Brazil has nearly 8,000 km of coastline with beautiful beaches. Many of these beautiful beaches are concentrated in the northeast of the country. Paraíba has 138 km of beaches and its south coast also offers easy access to them.

Erich and I visited a part of this south coast of Paraiba and we would like to share our impressions with you.

We start our tour with a short first stopover with views of Cabo Branco and Tambaú, from there we went on to Barra de Gramame. A beautiful beach with calm sea and many small simple restaurants to spend the day there and having lunch.

From Gramame we drove to the beach Praia do Amor and photographed there the famous rock Pedra Furada, which is visible only at low tide.

Our next stop was at Jacumã Beach, 29 km from João Pessoa, the most famous place on the south coast of Paraíba with many summer houses. The beach itself is not in good condition as part of the houses were destroyed by the sea and a court order of coastal protection.

Our tour took us further to a place with a paradisiacal view: a lookout point between the beaches of Carapibus and Tabatinga.

Afterwards we arrived at Tambaba Beach, another place with a breathtaking view. From there we could see the mighty cliffs of the beach of Tabatinga, a wonder of nature!

Then we descend down to the famous Tambaba beach.

Tambaba Beach is 39 km from João Pessoa in Barra de Garaú located. It was the first official nudist beach in the northeast, the second in all Brazil.

When you arrive at the beach, there is a section where people are clothed and there is access to the nudist area through a cliff path.

From Tambaba we drove then on the PB-008 back to the beach of Coqueirinho. There is an area with a quiet bay (Coqueirinho Sul), small, ideal for swimming, but you pay R $ 30 just to sit there on deckchairs. On the other side of the beach with the rough and churning sea there is a great concentration of barracas (simple beach pubs / kiosks). When we arrived there we were immediately invited by many waiters to sit down to eat and to drink. In this part you pay nothing to sit, you only pay for your consumption.

From the visited beaches we were charmed by Carapibus, Tabatinga, Coqueirinho Sul and the small non-nudist area of the beach of Tambaba.

You can rent a car and visit any of these beaches. The main access is via the road PB-008. However, some of these access roads are not paved. Travel agencies offer trips to the south coast beaches for around R $ 60 per person. Since the prices vary a lot it is worthwhile to get informed about the kind of the excursion.

In our case we organized finally our trip by taxi according to our needs and we were very happy with it (taxi driver Pedro – 819393-2679, we paid 200 R $).

Erich e eu fizemos uma longa viagem pela América do Norte. O roteiro foi assim: Natal-São Paulo – Nova Iorque – Toronto – Anchorage – Seattle – São Francisco –Las Vegas – Punta Cana – São Paulo – Natal. Quanto você imagina que pagamos pelos bilhetes aéreos dessa viagem? Cinco mil reais? Dez mil reais? Não. Pagamos apenas as taxas de embarque e das bagagens. Os bilhetes aéreos foram obtidos através de milhas aéreas.

O QUE É MILHA

As empresas possuem programas de fidelidade cujo objetivo é recompensar o cliente, por ser fiel àquela companhia. Nesse post, vou tratar apenas do funcionamento desses programas de companhias aéreas.

2. OS PRINCIPAIS PROGRAMAS NO BRASIL

Eu diria que quase todas as grandes companhias aéreas possuem programa de fidelização. Os programas mais conhecidos no Brasil: Smiles (Gol), Multiplus (LATAM), Tudo Azul (Azul), Victoria (TAP), Skymiles (DELTA).

3. O QUE VOCÊ PRECISA TER PARA CRIAR UMA CONTA EM UM PROGRAMA DE FIDELIDADE

Primeiro, vontade de viajar. Depois disso, você precisa ter um cartão de crédito e criar uma conta num programa de fidelização.

4. COMO CRIAR UMA CONTA?

Você acessa o site do programa e cria uma conta. Não paga nada. Geralmente tem um botão onde você clica “criar conta”, a partir daí tudo é autoexplicativo.

5. CRIEI A CONTA E AÍ?

Depois da conta criada, você vai procurar concentrar todas as suas despesas no seu cartão de crédito.

6. COMO VOCÊ TRANSFERE DO CARTÃO PARA A CONTA FIDELIDADE

Cada banco, tem seu programa de pontos. São esses pontos que você vai transferir para o programa de milhagem. Essa transferência pode ser feita pelo site. Antes de concluir a transação revise o que você preencheu.

7. COMO OBTER UM BILHETE AÉREO

Depois que você fez a transferência dos seus pontos para o programa de fidelidade e tem pontos suficientes para obter um bilhete aéreo, então é só entrar na sua conta e resgatar seu bilhete. Mas, atenção: o “preço” de seu bilhete vai depender do dia da semana, da época do ano, existem muitas variáveis. Caso, você não tenha pontos suficientes para obter o bilhete aéreo que você quer, também é possível resgatar o bilhete com milhas e pagar uma parte em dinheiro.

8. DICAS PARA PARA VIAJAR MUITO E USAR MENOS MILHAS

Fique atento(a) às promoções feitas pelos programas de fidelidade. Quase todos os dias, eu recebo e-mails promocionais dos programas de fidelidade. O que eu faço? Leio todos. Por que? Porque são esses e-mails que avisam das promoções. Por isso, não ignore os e-mails promocionais dos programas de fidelidade.

9. AS “MILHAS BONUS”

Outra promoção legal: se você transferir seus pontos no período tal, do Banco tal (depende qual banco emitiu seu cartão de crédito), você vai ganhar 70% de bônus. Mas, preste atenção, leia o regulamento da promoção e fique sabendo sobre a validade das milhas bônus.

10. CLUBE DE MILHAS

Os programas de fidelidade criaram uma outra forma de você receber milhas: pagando por elas. Trata-se de um “clube” onde você paga mensamente um valor (o preço varia entre R$26,90 a R$ 299,00 – preços do Multiplus e SMILES) e você recebe milhas todo mês. Eu considero os clubes como uma forma de você investimento para viagens futuras. Veja mais detalhes sobre eles: Clube Multiplus, Smiles, Tudo Azul.

Só mais uma coisinha: se você não quiser viajar, você pode resgatar suas milhas obtendo produtos. Os programas tem suas lojas também. Em vez de um bilhete aéreo, você pode resgatar um telefone…você também pode ganhar milhas com compras em lojas parceiras do programa.

Para mim, sempre foi a compacidade geográfica, quase “uma pequeneza”, do Equador, país localizado na América do Sul, que para mim sempre fazia com que minhas viagens por lá se tornassem confortáveis.

A minha primeira das cinco viagens ao Equador aconteceu em 1980 e foi emocionante viajar como mochileiro nesse país, de forma confortável e sem gastar muito, durante um mês. Devido ao tamanho do país, foi possível vivenciar diferentes zonas climáticas.

Eu lembro da sensação de “abafado” na costa tropical no entorno e nas Esmeraldas (cidade portuária), a temperatura agradável em Quito a 2.800 metros de altitude com seu fascinante centro histórico.

É possível que existem momentos nos quais nós, seres humanos e natureza parecem estar nesse tipo de união harmônica…!!?

AM ÄQUATOR IN ECUADOR – IMPRESSIONEN

Für mich war es immer diese geographische Kompaktheit, diese „Kleinheit“ Ecuadors auf dem Kontinent, die für mich immer die wahre Gröβe dieses Landes für mich auf meinen Reisen dort am Äquator

ausmachte.

Meine erste von 5 Reisen nach Ekuador war im Jahre 1980 und ich war davon begeistert als Rucksackreisender in nur einem Monat dieses Land bequem und kostengünstig bereisen zu können und dabei all die unterschiedlichsten Klimazonen erfahren zu können.

Ich erinnere mich an die schwül-heisse tropische Küste in und um Esmeraldas (Costa), an die angenehmen Temperaturen in Quito auf 2.800 m Höhe mit seiner faszinierenden Altstadt,

Weltkulturerbe, die malerischen Dörfer

in den Anden, Lama-

und andere farbenprächtige Indio-Märkte,

schneebedeckte Vulkangipfel das Hochtal

zwischen den Andenkordilleren umrahmend und auch die schwindelerregende Busfahrten hinab zum Oriente, hinab zum Amazonasbecken.

Unvergesslich für mich war auch eine Zugfahrt auf dem Dach des Zuges sitzend und die abenteuerliche Fahrt geniessend,

dieses Erlebnis haftet in meinem Gedächtnis wie ein verschwommenes impressionistisches Gemälde aus längst vergangenen Zeiten.

Auf einer meiner letzten Reisen nach Ekuador im Jahre 2001 konnte ich mir dann auch schlieβlich einen langgehegten Traum erfüllen – eine Reise zu den Galapagos-Inseln, diesem Archipel etwa 1.000 km weit drauβen im Pazifik gelegen.

Dieses durch Charles Darwin berühmtgewordenen Unesco-Weltnaturerbe

ist tatsächlich faszinierend und fesselnd zugleich.

Man kann sich den Tieren nähern,

mit ihnen schwimmen, sie scheinen nie Angst gegenüber dem Menschen entwickelt zu haben,

es ist eine so friedvolle paradiesische Atmosphäre, so seltsam ungewohnt für uns, sodass man fast nicht diesem Frieden zu trauen vermag, so ging es mir zumindest als ich von Robben umgeben umherschwamm wie einer von ihresgleichen.

Kann es sein, dass es in unseren weltweit so konfliktreichen Zeiten noch Momente gibt, in denen Mensch und Natur in harmonischem Einklang zu sein scheinen…!??

AT THE EQUATOR IN ECUADOR – IMPRESSIONS

For me it was always that geographic compactness, that “smallness” of Ecuador on the continent of South America which for me always made the size of this country for my journeys so comfortable there.

My first of 5 trips to Ecuador was in 1980 and I was thrilled to be able to travel as backpacker this country comfortably and inexpensively in just one month and to experience all the different climatic zones.

I remember the sultry tropical coast in and around Esmeraldas (Costa), the pleasant temperatures in Quito at 2,800 m altitude with its fascinating old town,

World cultural heritage, the picturesque villages

in the Andes, Lama-

and other colorful Indian markets,

snow-capped volcanoes framing the high valley

between the Andean Cordillera and also the dizzying bus rides down to the Oriente, down to the Amazon basin.

Unforgettable for me was also a train ride sitting on the roof of the train and enjoying the adventurous ride.

This experience is in my memory like a blurred impressionist painting from long past times.

On one of my last trips to Ecuador in 2001 I was finally able to make a long-lasting dream reality – a trip to the Galapagos Islands, this archipelago located around 1,000 km out in the Pacific.

This World Heritage Site became famous through Charles Darwin and

is actually fascinating and captivating at the same time.

You can approach the animals,

You can swim with them, they never seem to have developed anxieties against humans,

it is such a peaceful paradise-like atmosphere, so oddly unfamiliar to us, so that one can almost not trust this peace, so I felt at least as I was swimming surrounded by seals in the water like one of them.

Can it be that there are still moments in which we human beings and nature seem to be in a kind of harmonious unison..!!?

Visit Ecuador and experience an impressive fascinating mosaic of diversity.

Portugal é um destino turístico recheado de ótimas opções de passeios agradáveis.

O país possui cinco regiões turísticas no continente: Norte, Centro, Lisboa, Alentejo e Algarve.

Nesse post, trato sobre o Vale do Douro, uma das paisagens mais espetaculares que Erich e eu já vimos nas nossas andanças pelo mundo.

Se você planejar uma viagem à cidade de Porto, recomendo que inclua no seu roteiro o Vale do Douro. Trata-se de uma região denominada “Alto Douro Vinhateiro”considerada Patrimônio da Humanidade pela UNESCO.

Há passeios de um dia a essa região, tipo “bate-volta”, saindo do Porto. Porém, o melhor, em minha opinião, é alugar um carro e descobrir a região devagar, parando onde você achar conveniente, pois a área é pontilhada por muitos vilarejos charmosos.

As estradas são estreitas e ladeadas pelo verde da vegetação e pelo colorido das flores que são abundantes na primavera (viajamos no final de maio), começo da alta estação turística.

Chegamos na região através da cidade de Vila Real e a partir daí começamos a apreciar paisagens deslumbrantes.

O grande cenário é constituído pelo vale formado pelas montanhas, que abrigam muitas quintas e pequenas cidades. Algumas dessas quintas também recebem hóspedes, para quem busca um cenário de paz e beleza, é um destino recomendado.

Se você alugar um carro, fique atento (a) quando estiver conduzindo o veículo, as estradas são estreitas, com muitas curvas. Há mirantes de onde se descortina vistas espetaculares. Há um sobe e desce contínuo. Pinhão e Peso da Régua são cidades recomendadas para se hospedar. É de lá que saem os passeios de barco pelo Rio Douro.

O passeio principal nessa região é o que inclui visita à quinta, com degustação de vinho, passeio de barco e almoço. Pode se fazer o passeio de meio ou um dia completo que custa em torno de 40 a 80 euros por pessoa. A região é propícia para quem busca tranquilidade, bons vinhos e comidas deliciosas. Os portugueses do norte de Portugal são simpáticos e recebem muito bem os turistas.

Portugal ist ein Touristenziel mit großartigen Möglichkeiten für angenehme Ausflüge.

Das Land offeriert fünf touristische Regionen auf dem Kontinent: der Norden, das Zentrum, Lissabon, Alentejo und Algarve.

In diesem Beitrag beschäftige ich mich mit dem Douro-Tal, einer der spektakulärsten Landschaften, die Erich und ich auf unseren Reisen rund um die Welt gesehen haben.

Falls Sie eine Reise in die Stadt Porto planen, dann empfehle ich Ihnen, das Vale do Douro -Tal unbedingt in Ihre Reiseroute mitaufzunehmen. Es ist die Region namens “Alto Douro Vinhateiro”, von der UNESCO zum Weltkulturerbe erklärt.

Es gibt Tagesausflüge in diese Region von Porto ausgehend. Aber meiner Meinung nach ist es das Beste, ein Auto zu mieten und diese Landschaft in aller Ruhe zu erkunden, um dort anzuhalten wo Sie es wollen, dieser Gegend mit den vielen bezaubernden Dörfern.

Die Straßen sind schmal und flankiert vom Grün der Vegetation und all den bunten Blumen, die im Frühling so reichlich vorhanden sind, wir sind Ende Mai gereist zu Beginn der Hochsaison.

Wir erreichten diese Region via die Stadt Vila Real und fortan begannen wir diese atemberaubenden Landschaften zu genieβen.

Das groβartige Szenario setzt sich aus dem Tal, den Bergen, den vielen Bauernhöfen und kleinen Dörfern zusammen. Einige dieser Farmen beherbergen auch Gäste, für diejenigen, die eine Atmosphäre von Frieden, Ruhe und Schönheit suchen, ist es ein wirklich empfehlenswertes Ziel.

Falls Sie ein Auto mieten, bleiben Sie aufmerksam beim Fahren, die Straßen sind eng und mit vielen Kurven. Unterwegs gibt es immer wieder Rastmöglichkeiten mit spektakulären Aussichten. Die Fahrt führt ständig bergauf und bergab. Pinhão und Peso da Régua sind empfehlenswerte kleine Städtchen. Von dort starten dann auch die Ausflugsschiffe auf dem Fluss Douro.

Die Haupttour in dieser Regio beinhaltet den Besuch eines Bauernhofes/Winzers mit Weinproben, Bootsfahrten und Mittagessen. Sie können einen Halbtages- oder Ganztagesausflug buchen, was dann etwa 40 bis 80 Euro pro Person kostet. Diese Regio ist ideal für diejenigen, die Ruhe, gute Weine und leckeres Essen suchen. Die Portugiesen hier im Norden des Landes sind auβerdem sehr freundlich und empfangen die Touristen sehr herzlich.

VALE DO DOURO – FLOWERS AND WINE

Portugal is a tourist destination with great opportunities for pleasant trips.

The country offers five tourist regions in the continent: the north, the center, Lisbon, Alentejo and Algarve.

In this article I will talk about the Douro Valley, one of the most spectacular landscapes Erich and I have seen on our travels around the world.

If you are planning a trip to the city of Porto I recommend to you to take the Vale do Douro into your travel route. It is the region called “Alto Douro Vinhateiro“, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

There are one day trips going out into this region from Porto. But in my opinion it is best to rent a car and explore this countryside in peace, to stop where you want, in this area with so many charming villages.

The streets are narrow and flanked by the greenery of the vegetation and all the colorful flowers that are so abundant in spring, we have traveled in late May at the beginning of the high season.

We reached in this region via the city of Vila Real and from then on we began to enjoy these breathtaking landscapes.

The great scenario is composed of the valley, the mountains, the many farms and small villages. Some of these farms also accommodate guests, this is for those seeking for an atmosphere of peace, tranquility and beauty, it is a truly recommended destination.

If you rent a car stay attentive while driving as the roads are narrow and with lots of curves. On the way around there are always resting places with spectacular views. The trip is going constantly uphill and downhill. Pinhão and Peso da Régua are recommended small towns. From there the excursion boats on the River Douro start.

As árvores são seres vivos que se pudessem falar, poderiam contar tanto sobre a história da terra e dos povos. É isso que me lembro quando vejo as árvores antigas como as do Monumento Nacional de Muir Woods, localizadas nas proximidades da cidade de São Francisco, distante 19,31 km da Ponte Golden Gate, na Califórnia.

O Monumento Nacional Muir Woods e a Bacia Hidrográfica do Riacho Redwoods integram a Reserva da Biosfera da Ponte Golden Gate da UNESCO, que engloba 13 áreas protegidas localizadas em torno da baía de São Francisco.

Tive a oportunidade de visitar o Muir Woods,uma das últimas florestas de madeira vermelha (redwood) do planeta.

Trata-se das imensas árvores (Sequoia sempervirens), que floresceram na enevoada costa banhada pelas águas do riacho Redwood. As árvores de madeira vermelha cobriram parte do hemisfério norte a 150 milhões de anos atrás. Atualmente existem dois tipos dessas árvores na Califórnia encontradas em áreas limitadas da região:

– “A redwood da costa” – Sequoia semprervirens

– A sequoia gigante – Sequoiadendron giganteum – encontrada no Parque Nacional Yosemite e no Parque Nacional de Sequoia e King Canyon.

Eu sempre quis ver as sequoias, pois já as conhecia através de filmes e livros.

O parque é muito bem organizado e a visita é feita através de trilhas sinalizadas onde a história e a importância desse ecossistema são explicados.

Eu fiquei encantada com a beleza dessas árvores. É possível vê-las agrupadas e algumas solitárias. Também percebi que havia algumas mortas, caídas no chão, que servem de suporte para fungos e outros seres vivos.

Muir Woods é remanescente de um tempo antigo, de um mundo pacífico. Foi o isolamento da área e a dificuldade de acesso que protegeram essas árvores até o começo do século XX. O lugar é para ser visitado com tempo e tranquilidade para que se possa apreciar com profundidade a beleza do parque. Esse não foi o meu caso, passei apenas umas 3 horas lá, mas, mesmo assim, senti aquela felicidade imensa que locais como Muir Woods nos inspira.

Se você se interessa por natureza, aproveite para visitar o Muir Woods quando você visitar São Francisco, vale muito a pena visitar esse monumento natural. Para acessá-lo, você de ir até Sausalito, do outro lado da Ponte Golden Gate e lá, da praça principal, sai o para o parque, somente durante os finais de semana, entre os meses de maio a outubro. O preço do ônibus está incluso no valor do ingresso ao parque. A viagem tem duração, aproximada, de 40 minutos.

MUIR WOODS IN KALIFORNIEN, ZEUGNIS EINER FERNEN VERGANGENHEIT

Bäume sind Lebewesen, die, wenn sie reden könnten, so viel über die Geschichte des Landes und des Volkes erzählen könnten. Das ist es, an was ich mich erinnere, wenn ich die alten Bäume wie die des Muir Woods National Monumentes in der Nähe von San Franzisko, Kalifornien, nur 19 km von der Golden Gate Bridge entfernt, sehe. Die „Muir Woods“ Wälder und das hydrographische Becken „Redwood Creek“ sind Teil des Biosphärenreservates der Golden Gate Bridge der UNESCO, das 13 Schutzgebiete rund um die Bucht von San Francisco umfasst.

Ich hatte die Gelegenheit die Muir Woods zu besuchen, einer der letzten Rotholzwälder auf unserem Planeten.

Das sind diese riesigen Bäume (Sequoia sempervirens), die an den nebligen Pazifik-Gefilden wachsen durchflossen von den Gewässern des Flusses Redwood Creek. Die Rotholzbäume bedeckten vor 150 Millionen Jahren einen Teil der nördlichen Hemisphäre. Derzeit gibt es zwei Arten dieser Bäume in Kalifornien in relativ begrenzten Bereichen dieser Region:

– “Die Redwood Coast” – Sequoia semprervirens

– Der Riesenmammutbaum – Sequoia dendron giganteum – gefunden im Yosemite Nationalpark und Sequoia Nationalpark und im King Canyon.

Ich wollte schon immer diese Mammutbäume sehen, weil ich sie schon von Filmen und Büchern her kannte.

Der Park ist sehr gut organisiert und der Besuch erfolgt auf markierten Wegen, wo die Geschichte und Bedeutung dieses Ökosystems erklärt werden.

Ich wurde von der Schönheit dieser Bäume völlig bezaubert. Sie können sie in Gruppen zusammen sehen aber auch einige ganz vereinzelt. Auch tote Bäume liegen auf dem Boden und dienen somit Pilzen und anderen Formen von Leben als Daseinsgrundlage.

Muir Woods erinnert an eine alte Zeit, eine friedliche Welt. Es war die Isolation dieses Gebietes und die Schwierigkeit des Zuganges, die diese Bäume bis zum Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts schützten. Diesen Ort sollte man mit Zeit und Ruhe besichtigen, um die wahre Schönheit des Parks in seiner ganzen Tiefe erspüren zu können. Wir verbrachten nur 3 Stunden dort und trotzdem empfand ich ein groβes Glückgefühl Inspiration von diesem Ort ausgehend.

Falls Sie sich für Natur interessieren, nehmen Sie die Gelegenheit wahr, die Muir Woods zu besuchen, wenn Sie in San Franzisko weilen, es lohnt sich! Sie nehmen von Sausalito auf der anderen Seite der Golden Gate Bridge einen Bus zum Park. Diese verkehren nur an den Wochenenden zwischen Mai und Oktober. Der Preis des Buses ist im Eintrittspreis des Parks enthalten. Die Fahrt dauert ca. 40 Minuten.

Muir Woods, ein Besuch, der für immer in meinem Gedächtnis bleiben wird.

MUIR WOODS IN CALIFORNIA, TESTIMONY OF A REMOTED PAST

Trees are creatures that, if they could talk, could tell us so much about the history of the country and its people. This is what I remember when I see the old trees like in the Muir Woods National Monument near San Francisco, California, just 19 km from the Golden Gate Bridge. The “Muir Woods” forests and the hydrographic basin “Redwood Creek” are part of the Biosphere Reserve of the Golden Gate Bridge of the UNESCO, which covers 13 protected areas around the Bay of San Francisco.

I had the opportunity to visit Muir Woods, one of the last redwood forests on our planet.

They are these giant trees (Sequoia sempervirens) that grow on the foggy Pacific plains feeded through the waters of the river Redwood Creek. The redwood trees covered a part of the northern hemisphere 150 million years ago. Currently, there are two types of these trees in California in a relatively limited areas of this region:

– “The Redwood Coast” – Sequoia semprervirens

– The Giant Marmot Tree – Sequoia dendron giganteum – found in the Yosemite National Park and Sequoia National Park and the King Canyon.

I’ve always wanted to see these mammoth trees because I’ve known them from films and books.

The park is very well organized and the visit takes place on well marked trails, where also the history and importance of this ecosystem are explained.

I was completely enchanted by the beauty of these trees. You can see them together in groups but also some quite isolated single ones. Even dead trees lie on the ground and thus serve mushrooms and other forms of life as a basis of existence.

Muir Woods recalls an ancient time, a peaceful world. It was the isolation of this area and the difficulty of the access which protected these trees until the beginning of the 20th century. This place should be visited with time and tranquility in order to be able to feel the true beauty of the Park in its entirely depth. We spent only 3 hours there and I still felt a great sense of happiness inspiring from this place.

If you are interested in nature take the opportunity to visit the Muir Woods whilst you are in San Francisco, it’s worth it!

You take a bus from Sausalito on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge to the Park. These are only available on the weekends between May and October. The price of the bus is included in the entrance-price of the Park. The journey takes about 40 minutes.

Muir Woods, a visit that will remain in my memory forever.

Las Vegas está localizada no estado de Nevada, numa área desértica. Tem uma população aproximada de 600 mil habitantes. É conhecida como a cidade da diversão dos Estados Unidos.

Las Vegas já foi cenário de muitos filmes, como: Onze Homens e Um Segredo, Se Beber não Case I, Última Viagem a Vegas,Jogo de Amor em Las Vegas, Miss Simpatia 2: Armada e Poderosa,o brasileiro “Até que a sorte nos separe 2”, dentre outros.

Cheguei em Las Vegas em um dia quente, muito quente de agosto. Dois aspectos me chamaram a atenção de imediato: as máquinas de jogos no aeroporto e uma grande pirâmide que avistei logo quando saí do terminal. Uma pirâmide???? Foi somente o começo…A partir daí, vi a Esfinge de Gizé do Egito,

uma grande estátua de um faraó egípcio embaixo de uma grande placa de publicidade

e depois de alguns minutos, vi a Torre Eiffel,

os arranha-céus de Nova Iorque, a Estátua da Liberdade,

o Imperador romano César e as gondolas de Veneza.

Disse a mim mesma: Meu Deus, cheguei em um parque de diversões ou será alucinação? Jamais pensei em ver tudo isso e muito mais, junto! Você sai de Nova Iorque e após uma caminhada, já chegou em Paris! E depois de alguns minutos, já está em Veneza!

O grande chamariz da cidade são os hotéis-cassinos.No começo, eles eram mais grandiosos e temáticos, atualmente eles são mais comedidos e modernos. Exemplos de hotéis imensos: MGM Grand (o mais antigo),

Alguns dos grandes hotéis se comunicam entre si, você caminha de um cassino para o outro através de imensos shopping centers. Todas as famosas lojas de grife estão lá. Por exemplo, no hotel Caesar Palace, o shopping center tem um céu azul com nuvens,

nas salas de estar do shopping tem cadeiras em formato da cabeça de César (você literalmente senta na cabeça de César).

Tudo parece, às vezes, tão absurdo, tão fantasioso, tão surreal, que se torna espetacular.

Erich e eu entramos para tomar café da manhã em um desses imensos hotéis e quase não achamos a saída do mesmo. Você circula ouvindo música alta e vendo as máquinas de jogos piscando e emitindo bips, é uma loucura!

EIN UNVORSTELLBARES LAS VEGAS (TEIL I)

Las Vegas befindet sich im Bundesstaat Nevada inmitten einer Wüstenlandschaft. Es hat etwa 600.000 Einwohner. Es ist bekannt als die „Stadt des Amüsements“ in den Vereinigten Staaten.

Las Vegas diente als Kulisse für viele Filme wie zum Beispiel: „Elf Männer und ein Geheimnis“, „Heirate nicht wenn du trinkst I“, „Die letzte Reise nach Vegas“, „Liebesspiel in Las Vegas“, „Fräulein Sympathie 2: bewaffnet und mächtig, der Brasilianer“, „bis uns das Glück trennt 2 “.

Ich bin in Las Vegas an einem heißen, sehr heißen Augusttag angekommen. Zwei Aspekte fielen mir sofort auf: die Spielautomaten am Flughafen und eine große Pyramide, die ich entdeckte, als ich den Terminal verließ. Eine Pyramide???? Aber das war nur der Anfang … Von dort aus sah ich dann die Sphinx von Gizeh inn Ägypten,

eine große Statue eines ägyptischen Pharaos unter einer riesigen Plakette mit Werbung

und nach ein paar Minuten sah ich dann den Eiffelturm,

die Wolkenkratzer von Neu York, die Freiheitsstatue,

den römische Kaiser Caesar und die Gondeln von Venedig.

Ich sagte zu mir selbst: Mein Gott, bin ich in einen Vergnügungspark gekommen oder ist das alles nur eine Halluzination? Ich habe nie daran gedacht, das alles und mehr auf einmal zu sehen! Sie verlassen New York und nach einem kurzen Spaziergang sind Sie in Paris angekommen! Und nach ein paar Minuten bist du dann schon in Venedig!

Die große Verlockung der Stadt sind die Casinos-Hotels. Am Anfang waren sie grandioser und themenorientiert, derzeit sind sie eher zurückhaltend und modern. Beispiele für diese immensen Hotels: MGM Grand (das älteste),

Excalibur, Luxor, Paris, Caesars Palace, The Mirage, The Venetian, The Palazzo. Unter den neuesten und modernsten: Ling, Cosmopolitan…usw.

Einige der großen Hotels sind miteinander verbunden, man geht von einem Casino zum anderen durch riesige Einkaufszentren. Alle berühmten Designer-Läden sind da. Zum Beispiel im Caesar Palace Hotel verfügt das Einkaufszentrum über einen blauen gewölbten Himmel mit Wolken,

in den Lounges der Mall stehen Stühle in der Form des Kopfes von Caesar (Sie sitzen buchstäblich auf dem Kopf des Julius Cäsar).

Alles erscheint zuweilen so absurd, so phantasievoll, so surreal, sodass es letztendlich spektakulär wirkt.

Erich und ich gingen zum Frühstücken in eines dieser riesigen Hotels und wir haben anschlieβend fast nicht den Ausgang gefunden. Sie spazieren umher umgeben von lauter Musik und blinkenden und piependen Spielmaschinen, …es ist verrückt!

and after a few minutes I saw the Eiffel Tower,

the skyscrapers of New York, the statue of liberty,

the Roman emperor Caesar and the gondolas of Venice.

I said to myself: “My God, have I come to an amusement Park or is it all just a hallucination? I never thought of seeing this all at once! You leave New York and after a short walk you have arrived in Paris! And after another few minutes you’ll be in Venice!

The great enticement of the city are the casinos hotels. In the beginning they were more grand and themed, currently they are rather reserved and modern. Examples of these immense hotels are: MGM Grand (the oldest),

Excalibur, Luxor, Paris, Caesars Palace, The Mirage, The Venetian, The Palazzo. Among the newest and most modern are: Ling, Cosmopolitan … etc.

Some of these big hotels are connected, you go from one casino to another through huge shopping centers. All famous designer stores are there. For example at the Caesar Palace Hotel the shopping center has a blue domed sky with clouds,

and the lounges of the mall have chairs in the shape of Caesar’s head (literally sitting on the head of Julius Caesar).

Everything seems so absurd, so imaginative, so surreal, so that ultimately it appears to you spectacular.

Erich and I went to have breakfast in one of these huge hotels and we have almost did not find the exit. You walk around surrounded by loud music and flashing and beeping machines, … is not it crazy?!

Erich e eu já visitamos muitos lugares no mundo e vimos paisagens deslumbrantes. Porém, uma coisa posso lhe dizer, o nosso Brasil tem definitivamente uma grande diversidade de cenários que atraem turistas nacionais e internacionais. Tem opção de cenários para todos os gostos, para aqueles que querem aventura, para os que querem somente descansar, para os que se interessam por natureza e por aí vai.

Eu, particularmente, sou muito encantada pela Região Norte do Brasil, pelos atrativos naturais, pela gastronomia, pelo seu povo. Essa região, composta pelos estados do Acre, Amapá, Amazonas, Pará, Rondônia, Roraima e Tocantins é muito interessante. Uma cidade que sempre chama minha atenção é Belém.

A primeira coisa que vem a minha mente quando penso em Belém é a vista aérea da Baia de Guajará, no Rio Guamá e o Mercado Ver-o-Peso, tão lindo!

Erich e eu visitamos Belém na época em que estávamos percorrendo o Brasil para captar imagens para nosso livro 66 x Brasil. Nesse trabalho, visitamos 66 lugares especiais nesse país de dimensões continentais e muitos desses destinos, voltamos, porque sempre tem algo que queremos ver novamente. Belém é um desses lugares.

Belém, capital do estado do Pará, tem quase um milhão e meio de habitantes, também chamada “Cidade Morena”, devido a miscigenação do povo português com os índios Tupinambás, habitantes do lugar na época da colonização. Belém tem muita história para contar. Belém foi fundada pelos portugueses em 1616 e foi a primeira capital da região norte do Brasil. Durante o “ciclo da borracha” Belém foi o local de exportação do látex. A cidade é um importante polo de desenvolvimento portuário, comercial e turístico, além de relevante centro industrial da Região Norte.

Quando eu penso em Belém, me lembro de muitos cheiros, ruas cheias de gente, frutas exóticas, a influência dos índios na cultura local. Também me lembro da mistura das raças, de ver muita gente descendente de índios, com aqueles cabelos negros tão bonitos!

Se você quiser conhecer um pouco mais do nosso país e não ficar restrito a visitar apenas as praias do Nordeste, os grandes centros do Sudeste, as belezas naturais do Sul e do Centro Oeste, vale a pena visitar Belém.

A cidade de Belém tem muitos atrativos. O passeio ao Mangal das Garças, com sua torre e o viveiro de pássaros é uma visita obrigatória!

É da Estação das Docas, localizada nas margens da Baía do Guajará, de onde saem os passeios de barco pela baía e é também o local que concentra bares, restaurantes e lojas, é um complexo turístico muito apreciado pelos que visitam Belém e pelos nativos. O Forte do Presépio é um marco da fundação da cidade. É possível fazer passeios a partir de Belém, como visitar Icoaraci, para comprar cerâmica Marajoara, almoçar no famoso restaurante “Maloca do Orlando”, ver post sobre esse lugar. São muitos os atrativos em Belém.

Enfim, Belém é definitivamente um lugar para se visitar e voltar. A cidade está na minha lista das 10 cidades brasileiras que vale a visita, veja aqui as outras.

BELÉM – EINGANGSHAFEN ZUM AMAZONAS

Erich und ich haben viele Orte in der Welt besucht und wir haben atemberaubende Landschaften gesehen. Aber eines ist sicher, unser Brasilien bietet definitiv eine große Vielfalt von Szenarien, die sowohl nationale als auch internationale Touristen anziehen. Es offeriert eine Auswahl von Landschaften für jeden Geschmack, für diejenigen, die Abenteuer wollen, für diejenigen, die einfach nur ausruhen wollen, für diejenigen, die sich für Natur und so weiter interessieren.

Besonders begeistert bin ich von der nördlichen Region Brasiliens, von den Naturattraktionen, von der Gastronomie, von ihren Leuten. Diese Region, die sich aus den Bundesstaaten Acre, Amapá, Amazonas, Pará, Rondônia, Roraima und Tocantins zusammensetzt, ist sehr interessant. Eine Stadt, die mir dabei immer wieder ins Auge sticht, ist Belem.

Das erste, was mir in den Sinn kommt, wenn ich an Belém denke, ist die Luftaufnahme der Guajará-Bucht, des Guamá-Flusses und des Ver-O-Peso-Marktes, wunderschön!

Erich und ich besuchten Belem in der Zeit, in welcher wir sehr viel in Brasilien reisten, um die Fotos für unser 66 x Brasilien Buch zu machen. Für dieses Projekt besuchten wir 66 besondere Orte in diesem Land der kontinentalen Dimensionen und zu vielen dieserOrte kehren wir immer wieder zurück, weil es immer etwas Neues gibt, was wir uns ansehen wollen. Belem ist wahrlich einer dieser Orte.

Belém, Hauptstadt des Staates Pará, hat fast eine Million Einwohner, sie wird auch die “Morena-Stadt” genannt werden, wegen der Mischung des portugiesischen Volkes mit den Tupinambás-Indianern, den Bewohnern zum Zeitpunkt der Kolonisation. Bethlehem hat viel Geschichte zu erzählen. Belém wurde 1616 von den Portugiesen gegründet und war die erste Hauptstadt der nördlichen Region Brasiliens. Während des “Gummi-Zyklus” war Belém der Ort des Exportes von Latex. Die Stadt ist eine wichtige Drehscheibe für Hafen-, Handels- und Touristenentwicklung sowie ein relevantes Industriezentrum in dieser nördlichen Region.

Wenn ich an Belem denke, erinnere ich mich an viele Gerüche, überfüllte Straßen, exotische Früchte, den indianischen Einfluss auf die lokale Kultur. Ich erinnere mich auch an den Mix von Rassen, die vielen Nachkommen von Indios mit ihren so sehr schönen schwarzen Haaren!

Falls Sie ein wenig mehr von unserem Land kennenlernen wollen und sich nicht nur auf die Strände im Nordosten beschränken wollen, die großen Zentren des Südostens, die Naturschönheiten des Südens und des Mittleren Westens, dann ist Belém immer einen Besuch wert.

Die Stadt Belém offeriert viele Attraktionen. Der Spaziergang zum Mangal das Garças mit seinem Aussichtsturm und dem Vogel-Kindergarten ist dabei ein Muss!

Das Teatro da Paz (Theater des Friedens) ist ein Symbol der goldenen Ära des Gummis, es ist eine Perle der Architektur, seine architektonische Gestaltung wurde vom Scala Theater in Mailand inspiriert.

Beim Besuch des Ver-o-Peso-Marktes taucht man in eine Welt voller Gerüche, Farben und Aromen ein.

Das Museum Paraense Emílio Goeldi ist eine Attraktion für all diejenigen, die die Natur schätzen, man lernt etwas über Amazonas-Flora kennen und wird davon bezaubert.

Die Basilika „Unserer Lieben Frau von Nazareth“ ist der Ort der Pilger, die hier ihre Versprechen für ihre Schirmherrschaft in Belem einlösen. Die Stadt ist während der Zeit des Círio de Nazaré am zweiten Sonntag im Oktober mit Pilgern überfüllt.

An der Estação das Docas, (ehemalige Docks) am Ufer der Bucht von Guajará gelegen, von wo aus die Boote in die Bucht auslaufen, konzentrieren sich die Bars, Restaurants und Geschäfte, es ist ein Touristenkomplex, der sowohl von den Touristen als auch den Einheimischen sehr geschätzt wird.

Das Forte do Presépio (Festung) ist das Wahrzeichen der Stadtgründung.

Es ist möglich, von Belém aus Touren zu unternehmen, besuchen Sie Icoaraci, um Produkte der Marajoara-Töpferkultur zu kaufen und essen Sie im berühmten Restaurant “Maloca do Orlando” zu Mittag, siehe den Post über diesen Ort.

Es gibt viel zu sehen in Belém.

BELÉM – ENTRANCE TO THE AMAZON

Erich and I have visited many places in the world and we have seen stunning landscapes. But one thing is certain, our Brazil definitely offers a wide variety of scenarios that attract both national and international tourists. It offers a selection of landscapes for every taste, for those who want adventure, for those who just want to rest, for those who are interested in nature and so on.

I am particularly enthusiastic about the northern region of Brazil, the nature attractions, the gastronomy and the people. This region, which is composed of the states of Acre, Amapá, Amazonas, Pará, Rondônia, Roraima and Tocantins, is very interesting. A city, which always catches my eye, is Belem.

The first thing that comes to my mind when I think of Belém is the AERIAL VIEW of the Guajará Bay, the Guamá River and the Ver-O-Peso market, beautiful!

Erich and I visited Belem in the time when we traveled very much in Brazil to make the photos for our 66 x Brazil book. For this project we visited 66 special places in this land with ist continental dimensions and to many of these places we return again and again because there is always something new to look at. Belem is truly one of these places.

Belém, capital of the state of Pará, has almost one million inhabitants, it is also be called the “Morena city” because of the mixture of the Portuguese people with the Tupinambás Indians, the inhabitants at the time of colonization. Belém has a lot of history to tell. Belém was founded by the Portuguese in 1616 and was the first capital of the northern region of Brazil. During the “rubber cycle” Belém was the place of the export of latex. The city is an important hub for port, trade and tourist development as well as a relevant industrial center in this northern region.

MAIORCA, ILHA DE BELEZAS/MALLORCA – EINE SCHÖNE INSEL/MALLORCA – A BEAUTIFUL ISLAND

MAIORCA, ILHA DE BELEZAS

Maiorca é uma ilha espanhola localizada no Arquipélago das Ilhas Baleares e sua capital é Palma de Maiorca. É um destino muito procurado por turistas europeus. Maiorca é a maior ilha do arquipélago.

Stefano, filho de Erich, fez uma viagem pela ilha juntamente com amigos. Um desses amigos, viveu na ilha, Luis, e ele comentou um pouco sobre a ilha, além de nos passar dicas legais para quem vai visitar Maiorca. Vou dividir com vocês algumas dessas informações.

Primeiro, é importante alugar um carro. Você pode circular por Palma usando transporte público, mas, se quiser visitar outros lugares na ilha, você vai perder muito tempo, por isso, definitivamente é importante alugar um carro. Luis, que já viajou várias vezes com amigos pela ilha, selecionou os principais atrativos que ele sempre visita: Cabo de Formentor, Serra de Tramuntana, Sa Calobra e Port de Soller, algumas cidades na planície, Cavernas do Dragão e Palma de Maiorca, dentre outros.

É no Cabo de Formentor de onde se faz uma foto clássica, tem uma área chamada “Mirador de es Colomer” onde todos os turistas param para fazer a foto.

Vale a pena uma parada lá. Mas, cinco minutos desse ponto, tem uma vista melhor (veja no mapa como chegar lá).

Ainda no Cabo de Formentor você pode visitar a praia “Cala Formentor”. É a praia que você pode ver do local chamado “Talaia d´Albercutx”.

Para chegar lá, você deve seguir a estrada que vai do terraço “Es Colomer” que mencionei anteriormente ao farol de Formentor (veja o mapa acima). A praia fica em algum lugar no meio. Tenha em mente que, a menos que você encontre um local para estacionar na estrada, o estacionamento privado pode ser um pouco caro (9 €). Bem pertinho de Formentor, você vai encontrar outra praia muito bonita, é a “Cala Sant Vicenc”.

As montanhas da Serra de Tramuntana e suas aldeias foram declaradas Patrimônio da Humanidade pela UNESCO há alguns anos e segundo Luis, é área favorita dele. Elas seguem o litoral norte da Ilha. E há muitas cidades com suas pequenas praias que merecem ser visitadas. Ele marcou no mapa, as cidades que são as mais agradáveis na opinião dele, com as setas vermelhas. Você pode visita-las, uma após a outra, simplesmente seguindo a estrada que passa pelo mar e de onde você verá excelentes vistas da costa.

As montanhas de Tramuntana também são um ótimo lugar para trekking . Para “Sa Calobra” e Port de Soller (setas azuis), Luis recomenda dedicar um dia diferente (veja o ponto número 3).

“Sa Calobra” é uma pequena praia, situada no final de um riacho que está seco a maior parte do ano. Está localizada nas Montanhas Tramuntana. O que o torna realmente especial e espetacular é que essa praia está situada entre dois paredões de pedra altas e verticais. Se você for visitar essa praia, Luis recomenda que você procure chegar cedo lá devido a dois motivos: evitar a grande quantidade de turistas que chegam ao meio dia e você poderá encontrar lugar para estacionar fora do estacionamento privado, que é muito caro. Sa Calobra é também um lugar para se fazer trekking.

Além disso, a estrada que liga as cidadezinhas tem vistas panorâmicas. Ele recomenda uma parada na antiga torre de relógio chamada “Torre del Verger” (entre Banyalbufar e Estellencs).

Valldemossa, com suas ruas estreitas agradáveis e sua famosa casa “charter”, onde Chopin e George Sand passaram uma temporada de inverno.

Não perca a chance de experimentar a famosa “coca de patata”, um pão doce regional típico desta cidade. Você pode comprar um realmente bom de uma padaria chamada “Ca’n Molinas” no centro da cidade.

Outro belo vilarejo: Banyalbufar, com suas áreas de cultivo.

Sant Elm era uma vila de pescadores, com uma praia tranquila.

Você também pode desfrutar de belas vistas da Ilha “Sa Dragonera”, a maior ilha que você avista da parte norte da cidade e do terraço “La Trapa”, que é um mirante de onde você fazer belas fotos. Você pode chegar lá caminhando (cerca de 1 hora e meia de caminhada)pela montanha Sant Elm. As vistas durante o pôr do sol são incríveis.

Depois de “As Calobra”, você pode almoçar em Fornalutx ou Soller. São duas cidadezinhas charmosas. Porém, recomendo que procure chegar em Port Soller, um porto natural localizado em uma baía estreita, antes do por do sol.

Luiz recomenda também visitar algumas cidades: Capdepera, nas proximidades há uma bela praia chamada “Cala de s’Aguila”, Artà, Alcudia.

Outro atrativo muito interessante é chamado de Cavernas do Dragão (Coves del Drach) localizadas perto de Porto Cristo. Reserva uma manhã para visita-las. Depois da visita, você pode ir para as praias próximas ou uma das cidades que foram indicadas anteriormente.

No mesmo dia, você pode ir a praia “Es Trenc’, localizada perto da cidade de “Colonia de Sant Jordi”. Es Trenc é uma longa praia, a segunda maior de Mallorca. Luis recomenda ficar na parte chamada “Ses Covetes”, que é uma das mais bonitas áreas. A praia tem muitos bunkers da Guerra Civil Espanhola, mas, elas estão atualmente pintadas e decoradas.

A Ilha de Maiorca é definitivamente um reduto de muitas belezas.

MALLORCA – EINE SCHÖNE INSEL

Mallorca ist eine spanische Insel des Balearen Archipels und seine Hauptstadt ist Palma de Mallorca. Es ist ein beliebtes Ziel für europäische Touristen. Mallorca ist die größte Insel im Archipel.

Stefano, Sohn von Erich, machte eine Reise auf der Insel mit Freunden. Einer dieser Freunde lebte auf der Insel, Luis, und er kommentierte ein bisschen über die Insel, außerdem gab er uns coole Tipps für jeden, der Mallorca besuchen möchte.

Wichtig ist es, ein Auto zu mieten. Sie können Palma leicht mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln bereisen, aber falls Sie weitere Orte auf der Insel besuchen möchten, dann verlieren Sie viel Zeit, also ist es definitiv wichtig, ein Auto zu mieten.

Luis, der mehrmals mit Freunden auf der Insel gereist ist, hat die Hauptattraktionen ausgewählt, die er dann immer besucht: Cabo de Formentor, Serra de Tramuntana, Sa Calobra und Port de Soller, einige Städte in der Ebene, die Höhlen des Drachen und Palma de Mallorca unter anderen.

Es ist in Cabo de Formentor, wo ein klassisches Foto aufgenommen wird, der Ort hat einen Aussichtspunkt namens “Mirador de es Colomer”, des alle Touristen besuchen.

Es ist einen Halt wert. Aber, fünf Minuten von diesem Punkt haben Sie einen noch besseren Blick (siehe Karte, wie man dorthin kommt).

Auch in Cabo de Formentor können Sie den Strand “Cala Formentor” besuchen. Es ist der Strand, den man von dem Ort “Talaia d’Albercutx” sehen kann.

Um dorthin zu gelangen, musst man der Straße folgen ausgehend von der Terrasse “Es Colomer”, die ich vorher bezüglich dem Leuchtturm von Formentor erwähnt habe (siehe Karte oben). Der Strand liegt irgendwo in der Mitte. Denken Sie daran, daß, wenn Sie keinen Platz finden, um auf der Straße zu parken, private Parkplätze ein bisschen teuer sein können (9 €). Ganz in der Nähe von Formentor, finden Sie einen anderen sehr schönen Strand, den “Cala Sant Vicenc”.

Die Berge von „Serra de Tramuntana“ und seine Dörfer wurden vor ein paar Jahren zum Weltkulturerbe der UNESCO erklärt und nach Luis ist es seine Lieblingsregio. Sie folgen der Nordküste der Insel. Und es gibt viele Städte mit ihren kleinen Stränden, die es verdient haben, besucht zu werden.

Er markierte auf der Karte die Städte, die seiner Meinung nach die schönsten sind, mit den roten Pfeilen. Sie können sie besuchen, eine nach dem anderen, einfach der Straße folgen, die am Meer entlangführt und man kann herrliche Blicke auf die Küste genieβen.

Die Tramuntana Berge sind auch ein großartiger Ort für Trekking-Touren (folgen Sie den Link für einige Routen http://serradetramuntana.eu/).

Für “Sa Calobra” und Port de Soller (blaue Pfeile) empfiehlt Luis, einen anderen Tag zu widmen (siehe Punkt 3).

Darüber hinaus offeriert die Straße, die diese kleinen Städte verbindet, Panoramablicke. Er empfiehlt einen Halt am alten Uhrturm namens “Torre del Verger” (zwischen Banyalbufar und Estellencs).

Valldemossa mit seinen angenehmen engen Gassen und seinem berühmten Charter Haus, wo Chopin und George Sand eine Wintersaison verbrachten.

Verpassen Sie auch nicht die Chance, den berühmten “Coca de Potata” zu probieren, ein regionales Süßbrot, das typisch für diese Stadt ist. Sie können ein wirklich gutes in der Bäckerei namens “Ca’n Molinas” im Zentrum der Stadt kaufen.

“Sa Calobra” ist ein kleiner Strand, der am Ende eines Baches liegt, der die meiste Zeit des Jahres ausgetrocknet ist. Das Dorf liegt in den Tramuntana-Bergen. Die Strandzugangstraße hat spektakuläre Aussichten.

Luis empfiehlt, daβ Sie versuchen aus zwei Gründen früh zu kommen: Vermeiden Sie die große Anzahl von Touristen, die mittags ankommen, und finden Sie einen Platz zum Parken außerhalb des privaten Parkplatzes, was sehr teuer ist. Sa Calobra ist auch ein Ort zum Trekking.

Nach “As Calobra” können Sie in Fornalutx oder Soller zu Mittag essen. Das sind zwei charmante kleine Städte. Allerdings empfehle ich Ihnen Port Soller, einen natürlichen Hafen in einer engen Bucht, und zwar vor dem Sonnenuntergang.

Luiz empfiehlt auch, einige weitere Städte zu besuchen wie: Capdepera, in der Nähe befindet sich ein schöner Strand namens “Cala de s’Aguila”, Artà, Alcudia.

Eine weitere interessante Attraktion sind die Cavernas do Dragão (Drachen-Höhlen) in der Nähe von Porto Cristo. Planen Sie einen Vormittag, um sie zu besuchen. Anschlieβend können Sie einen der nahe gelegenen Strände oder eine der schon erwähnten Städte besuchen.

Am gleichen Tag können Sie noch an den Strand “Es Trenc” gehen in der Nähe der Stadt “Colonia de Sant Jordi”. Es Trenc ist ein langer Strand, der zweitgrößte auf Mallorca.

Luis empfiehlt in dem Teil namens “Ses Covetes” zu bleiben, einer der schönsten Gegenden. Der Strand hat viele Bunker aus dem Spanischen Bürgerkrieg, aber sie sind derzeit bunt bemalt und dekoriert.

Die Insel Mallorca ist definitiv eine Hochburg vieler Schönheiten.

Mallorca is a Spanish island of the Balearic archipelago and its capital is Palma de Mallorca. It is a popular destination for European tourists. Mallorca is the largest island in the archipelago.

Stefano, son of Erich, made a trip on the island with friends. One of these friends lived on the island, Luis, and he commented a bit about the island, as well as giving us cool tips for anyone who wants to visit Mallorca.

It is important to rent a car. You can easily travel in Palma by public transport, but if you want to visit other places on the island, you will lose a lot of time, so it is definitely important to rent a car.

Luis, who has traveled several times with friends on the island, has selected the main attractions, which he always visits: Cabo de Formentor, Serra de Tramuntana, Sa Calobra and Port de Soller, some cities in the plain, the caves of the Dragon and Palma de Mallorca among others.

It is located in Cabo de Formentor, where a classic photo is taken, the place has a viewpoint called “Mirador de es Colomer”, which is visited by all tourists.

It’s worth a stop. But five minutes from this point you have an even better view (see map how to get there).

Also in Cabo de Formentor you can visit the beach “Cala Formentor”. It is the beach, which can be seen from a place called “Talaia d’Albercutx”.

To get there follow the road going out from the terrace “Es Colomer”, which I mentioned before regarding the lighthouse of Formentor (see map above). The beach is somewhere in the middle. Remember that if you find no place to park on the street, private parking can be a bit expensive (9 €). Very close to Formentor, you will find another very beautiful beach, the “Cala Sant Vicenc”.

The mountains of “Serra de Tramuntana” and its villages were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site a few years ago and, according to Luis, it is his favorite region. By following the north coast of the island you find many small cities with their beaches worthfile to be visited.

Luis marked on the map the towns, which he thought were the most beautiful, with the red arrows. You can visit them, one by one, just follow the road that runs along the coast and you can enjoy splendid views of the coast.

The Tramuntana mountains are also a great place for trekking tours (follow the link for some routes http://serradetramuntana.eu/).

For “Sa Calobra” and Port de Soller (blue arrows), Luis recommends another day (see point 3).

The road connecting these small towns offers many panoramic views. He recommends a stop at the old clock tower called “Torre del Verger” (between Banyalbufar and Estellencs).

Do not miss the opportunity to try the famous “Coca de Potata”, a regional sweet bread typical of this town. You can buy a really good one at the bakery called “Ca’n Molinas” in the city center.

Another beautiful village is Banyalbufar with its cultivation areas.

Sant Elm was a fishing village with a very quiet beach.

You can also enjoy a beautiful view of the island “Sa Dragonera”, the largest island you can see from the northern part of the town and the terrace “La Trapa”.

“La Trapa” is a lookout from where you can take beautiful photos and you can walk (about 1 and a half hour from Sant Elm, more info: http://www.senderosdemallorca.com/rutas/ficha.de .html? cr = 31)) The view during the sunset is incredible.

“Sa Calobra” is a small beach at the mouth of a creek that is dried up most of the year. The village is located in the Tramuntana mountains. The beach access road offers spectacular views.

Luis recommends that you try to arrive there early for two reasons: Avoid the large number of tourists arriving at noon, and find a place to park outside the private carparking, which is very expensive. Sa Calobra is also a good place for trekking.

After “Sa Calobra” you can have lunch in Fornalutx or Soller. These are two charming small towns. However, I recommend you Port Soller, a natural harbor in a narrow bay, and, arrive before sunset.

Luiz also recommends to visit some other towns such as: Capdepera near a beautiful beach called “Cala de s’Aguila”, Artà, Alcudia.

Another interesting attraction are the Coves del Drach (Dragon Caves) near Porto Cristo. Plan a morning to visit them. Afterwards you can visit one of the nearby beaches or one of the already mentioned small towns.

On the same day you might still go to the beach “Es Trenc” near the town “Colonia de Sant Jordi”. Es Trenc is a long beach, the second largest on Mallorca.

Luis recommends staying in the part called “Ses Covetes”, one of the most beautiful areas. The beach has many bunkers from the Spanish Civil War, but they are currently painted and decorated colorful.

The island of Mallorca is definitely a stronghold of many beauties.

Toronto é a capital da província de Ontário e é também a maior cidade do Canadá, com quase 3 milhões de habitantes.

Toronto é uma cidade vibrante, dinâmica, palco de diversos eventos, além de oferecer muitas opções de divertimento. Aliás, o Canadá completa 150 anos em 2017 e por isso, o país, e em especial Toronto, tem uma vasta programação para celebrar a data.

Erich e eu estivemos em Toronto no mês de julho quando as pessoas aproveitam o máximo o céu azul e as altas temperaturas, pois no inverno elas são muitas baixas, podendo chegar a -30 graus centígrados.

Na tarde em que chegamos a Toronto, depois que deixamos nossa bagagem no hotel, nos dirigimos para a área chamada “Waterfront” localizada nas margens do Lago Ontário com diversos restaurantes, feirinha de artesanato, local onde a pessoa tem acesso aos barcos que fazem passeios no lago.

Por falar em passeio no lago, fiz e gostei muito. Durante o passeio, foi possível observar os arranha-céus da cidade, além de apreciar as muitas ilhas cobertas de vegetação, bela paisagem.

Esse passeio estava incluído no ticket que compramos para fazer o passeio de ônibus “hop on hop off”. Sempre gostamos de fazer esse tipo de city tour porque podemos ter uma visão geral da cidade e de seus principais atrativos, além de ter uma orientação geral do lugar.

Toronto tem atrativos para todos os gostos: para os que gostam de adrenalina, os que se interessam por cultura, arquitetura, belezas naturais, dentre outras opções. Um programa famoso é visitar a CN Tower e caminhar no topo (Edge Walk), do lado de fora da torre, preso por cabos de aço, literalmente pendurado sobre a cidade. Tive muita vontade de fazer esse programa, mas, infelizmente não tive tempo.

Um lugar interessante, que vale a visita é o Distillery Historic Distrit. Trata-se da maior área preservada de arquitetura industrial vitoriana da América do Norte. A área foi restaurada e revitalizada e hoje funcionam lojas, restaurantes e galerias de arte.

Você pode fazer programas de um dia fora da cidade. O mais famoso é visitar as cataratas chamadas Niagara Falls.

Toronto ist die Hauptstadt der Provinz Ontario und auch zugleich die größte Stadt in Kanada mit fast 3 Millionen Einwohnern.

Toronto ist eine lebendige, dynamische Stadt mit vielen Veranstaltungen und Unterhaltungsmöglichkeiten. In der Tat feiert Kanada 2017 seinen 150. Geburtstag und so versteht es sich, daβ das ganze Land und somit auch Toronto dies entsprechend feiert.

Erich und ich waren im Juli in Toronto, wenn die Leute das Beste aus dem blauen Himmel und den relativ hohen Temperaturen machen, denn im Winter kann es sehr kalt werden mit Temperaturen bis zu -30 Grad Celsius.

Am Nachmittag nach unserer Ankunft fuhren wir zur Strandpromenade “Waterfront” am Ufer des Sees Ontario mit vielen Restaurants, Märkten und überall sehr vielen Spaziergängern, die wie wir diesen sonnigen Sommertag am Wochenende genossen.

Wir unternahmen einen etwa einstündigen Bootsausflug auf dem See in die der Stadt vorgelagerte kleine Inselwelt mit schöner Landschaft

und tollem Blick auf die Wolkenkratzer der Stadt. Diese Tour ist Bestandteil des “Hop on Hop off” Bus-Tickets. Wir machen diese Art von Stadtrundfahrt immer deshalb gerne, weil wir somit eine erste Orientierung und einen guten Überblick über die Stadt und ihre Hauptattraktionen bekommen können.

Toronto bietet Attraktionen für jeden Geschmack: für diejenigen, die Adrenalin mögen und für diejenigen, die sich für Kultur, Architektur, Natur und vieles mehr interessieren. Ein berühmtes Programm ist es, den CN-Turm zu besuchen und den „Edge Walk“ auf der Oberseite zu gehen, quasi zu hängen, wahrlich eine Mutprobe in mehr als 350 Metern Höhe. Ich wollte dieses wirklich machen, aber leider hatte ich nicht die Zeit hierfür, da am Wochenende oft ausgebucht.

Toronto verfügt über viele Gebäude mit kühner und kreativer Architektur, unter ihnen genoss ich das Royal Ontario Museum und die Ontario Art Gallery. Die Stadt offeriert viele weitere Museen.

Ein interessanter Ort, der einen Besuch lohnt, ist der „Distillery Historic District“. Es ist das größte erhaltene Gebiet der viktorianischen Industriearchitektur in Nordamerika. Das Viertel wurde restauriert und revitalisiert und heute findet man viele Geschäfte, Restaurants und Kunstgalerien.

Jedenfalls ist Toronto eine Stadt mit vielen Attraktionen, Veranstaltungen, einfach multikulturell. Sie finden Nachbarschaften namens Chinatown, Little Portugal, Little Korea. Falls Sie eine Reise nach Kanada planen, lohnt es sich, Toronto und sein Kulturprogramm miteinzubeziehen, falls Sie nur die Stadt kennenlernen möchten, empfehle ich einen Aufenthalt von zwei Nächten1.

City of Culture Toronto

Toronto is the capital of the province of Ontario and also the largest city in Canada with nearly 3 million inhabitants.

Toronto is a vibrant, dynamic city with many events and entertainment venues. In fact, Canada is celebrating its 150th birthday in 2017, so it is clear that the whole country, and thus Toronto, is celebrating it accordingly.

Erich and I were in Toronto in July when people do the best of the blue sky and the relatively high temperatures, because in winter it can get very cold with temperatures down to -30 degrees Celsius.

In the afternoon after our arrival we drove to the beachfront “Waterfront” on the shores of Lake Ontario with lots of restaurants, markets and everywhere a lot of walkers who like us enjoyed this sunny summer day at the weekend.

We undertook an approximately one-hour boat trip on the lake into the small island world with a beautiful landscape and a great view of the skyscrapers of the city.

This tour is part of the “Hop on Hop off” bus-ticket. We always enjoy this type of city tour because we can get an initial orientation and a good overview of the city and its main attractions.

Toronto offers attractions for all tastes: for those who like adrenaline and those who are interested in culture, architecture, nature and much more. A famous program is to visit the CN tower and to do up there the “Edge Walk” on the top, almost hanging out, really a courage test at more than 350 meters high. I wanted to make this really, but unfortunately I did not have the time to do this, as on weekends very often sold out.

Toronto has many buildings with bold and creative architecture, among which I enjoyed the Royal Ontario Museum and the Ontario Art Gallery. The city offers many other museums.

An interesting place to visit is the Distillery Historic District. It is the largest preserved area of the Victorian industrial architecture in North America. The neighborhood has been restored and revitalized and today you can find many shops, restaurants and art galleries.

In any case, Toronto is a city with many attractions, events, it is simply multicultural. You will find neighborhoods called Chinatown, Little Portugal, Little Korea. If you are planning a trip to Canada it is worth to include Toronto and its cultural program, if you only want to get to know the city, I recommend a stay of two nights.

Nova Iorque, dinâmica e efervescente

Nova Iorque é uma cidade multicultural, com uma população aproximada de 8 milhões de habitantes, que atrai milhares de visitantes anualmente.

A cidade é constituída por cinco distritos, sendo que 4 estão localizados em ilhas (Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens e Manhattan) e um no continente, que é o distrito do Bronx. Manhattan concentra a maior quantidade de atrações turísticas.

Os turistas chegam em busca de conhecer os muitos atrativos que a cidade oferece. Uma coisa é clara: você não vai conseguir conhecer tudo. Portanto, pesquise antes de viajar e escolha o que você quer visitar durante sua estadia por lá. Shows na Brodway? Museus? Fazer compras? Ver a cidade do alto?

São tantas as opções de entretenimento. Se você se interessa por shows, exposições de arte, fique atento, compre os ingressos antes. Considere que sempre há muita gente e filas. Nova Iorque é definitivamente uma cidade cara, mas encantadora.

Manhattan tem 3 grandes áreas: Uptown (ou Upper Manhattan), Downtown (ou Lower Manattan) e Midtown, que é a área central. Erich e eu optamos por nos hospedar no centro, na Midtown e de lá passeamos pela cidade de ônibus (New York Hop-On, Hop-Off Bus), de barco (incluído no ticket do ônibus) e também a pé, foi uma forma que encontramos para fazer nossa atividade física diária e conhecer a cidade. Aliás, caminhar em Nova Iorque é um grande programa para ver as surpresas que a cidade oferece. A cidade é cosmopolita, multicultural, há uma grande diversidade de raças nas ruas de Nova Iorque.

Nova Iorque é uma cidade plana e tem um traçado urbano ortogonal, onde as grandes avenidas e ruas são denominadas por números, como por exemplo, a famosa Quinta Avenida. É fácil se orientar nas ruas de Nova Iorque. Aliás, é na Quinta Avenida onde estão localizadas as grandes e famosas lojas, como a Apple, Louis Vuitton, dentre outras. O pulmão verde da cidade é o Central Park, circundado por edifícios, cujo metro quadrado e muito valorizado.

Existem programas clássicos para quem visita a cidade pela primeira vez: Broodway, Times Square (Dica: visite a Times Square ao entardecer quando está bem movimentada, então é só curtir),

Empire State Building, (existe outro edifício, mais alto que o Empire e é muito visitado, trata-se do Rockfeller Center onde está localizado o Top on the Rock), Ground Zero, Ponte do Brooklin,

de onde você tem uma vista arrebatadora da Ilha de Manhattan.

Dentre os locais que eu visitei, o que mais me emocionou foi o Ground Zero, local das Torres Gêmeas, onde está localizado o memorial às vítimas do atentado de 11 de setembro.

Nessa área, há também a nova estação de metrô, chamada World Trade Center (PATH),

com um salão oval chamado Oculus.O projeto da estação é do arquiteto espanhol Santiago Calatrava. O local é espetacular, o edifício é todo branco e quando você entra, tem uma exposição chamada “UP CLOSE Michelangelos Sistine Chapel” no centro. Definitivamente recomendo visitar essa área.

Outro passeio interessante, é passear na High Line Park, uma sugestão para quem gosta de caminhar e apreciar a natureza.

Um programa bem legal em Nova Iorque é curtir um bar no topo de algum edifício, como o bar Le Bain, onde você pode ver o entardecer e as luzes da cidade se acenderem. Dica: o Le Bain fica próximo ao High Line.(Atenção: alguns desses cafés e bares podem estar reservados para eventos privados durante o fim de semana).

Nova Iorque é definitivamente uma cidade para ser visitada várias vezes, cada vez você vai descobrir algo novo, aproveitar para ver algo que você não viu da última vez. Eu, com certeza, já tenho minha listinha para a próxima viagem.

New York ist eine multikulturelle Stadt mit einer Bevölkerung von etwa 8 Millionen, die Tausende von Besuchern alljährlich anzieht.

Die Stadt besteht aus fünf Bezirken, von denen vier auf Inseln (Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens und Manhattan) und einer auf dem Festland, die Bronx, befindet. Manhattan ist die Heimat vieler Touristenattraktionen.

Die Touristen kommen der vielen Attraktionen wegen, die die Stadt bietet. Eines ist klar: Sie werden nie alles sehen. Also recherchieren Sie, was Sie während Ihres Aufenthalts dort besuchen möchten. Brodway? Museen Einkaufen? Die Stadt von oben?

Es gibt so viele Unterhaltungsmöglichkeiten. Wenn Sie an Shows, Kunstausstellungen interessiert sind, kaufen Sie die Tickets bevor. Denken Sie daran, überall sind immer viele Leute und Warteschlangen. New York ist definitiv eine teure, aber charmante Stadt.

Manhattan teilt sich auf in 3 große Bereiche: Uptown (oder Upper Manhattan, Downtown (oder Lower Manattan) und Midtown.

Erich und ich entschieden uns, in Midtown in der Innenstadt unser Hotel zu nehmen und von dort aus mit dem Hop-On/Hop-Off Bus, mit dem Schiff (im Busticket enthalten) und v.a. zu Fuß (unser tägliches Fitnessprogramm) New York zu erkunden. Die Stadt ist kosmopolitisch, multikulturell und in den Straßen sind eine Vielfalt an Nationalitäten unterwegs.

New York ist eine flache Stadt und hat eine orthogonale städtische Gestaltung, wo die großen Boulevards und Straßen nummeriert sind, wie z.B. die berühmte Fifth Avenue, wo sich all die großen Marken und berühmten Läden wie Apple, Louis Vuitton usw. befinden. Die Orientierung in der Stadt fällt einem leicht.

Die grüne Lunge der Stadt ist der Central Park, umgeben von Gebäuden mit exorbitant hohen Quadratmeterpreisen.

Es gibt die klassischen Programme für alle, die die Stadt zum ersten Mal besuchen: Broadway, Times Square,

Freiheitsstatue,

das Empire State Building oder einen der anderen berühmten Wolkenkratzer, das Ground Zero und die Brooklyn Bridge

mit dann herrlichem Blick auf Manhattan.

Unter den Orten, die ich besuchte, bewegte mich am meisten der Ground Zero, die Gedenkstätte für die Opfer der Attentate vom 11. September.

In diesem Bereich befindet sich auch die neue U-Bahnstation “World Trade Center” (PATH) mit einer Ovalhalle namens Oculus.

Das Projekt der Station ist vom spanischen Architekt Santiago Calatrava. Der Ort ist einfach spektakulär, das Gebäude ist ganz weiß und wenn man es betritt, offeriert es eine Ausstellung namens “UP CLOSE Michelangelos Sistine Chapel” im Zentrum. Ein Besuch dieser U-Bahnstation ist absolut empfehlenswert.

Eine weitere sehr interessante Tour ist es, auf der High Line zu schlendern, ein Vorschlag für all diejenigen, die gerne spazieren gehen und ein „biβchen“ Natur genießen wollen.

Ein weiteres „cooles“ Programm in New York ist es, eine der vielen Bars auf einem der vielen hohen Gebäude zu genießen, wie z.B. die Bar Le Bain, wo man den Sonnenuntergang beobachten kann und die Lichter der Stadt. (Achtung: manche dieser Cafes und Bars können am Wochenende nur für private Events zugänglich sein)

Tip: bei Dämmerung und Dunkelheit ist auf und rund um den Times Square immer viel los, einfach eintauchen.

New York ist definitiv eine Stadt, die ganz einfach mehrmals besucht werden kann und jedes Mal können ganz neue Dinge entdeckt werden.

Ich jedenfalls habe sicherlich schon meine Liste für die nächste Reise nach NEW YORK.

New York – dynamic and bubbly

New York is a multicultural city with a population of about 8 millions which attracts thousands of visitors annually.

Tourists come to visit the many attractions that the city offers. One thing is clear: you will never see all. So research what you want to visit during your stay there. The Brodway, museums, shopping? The city from above?

There are so many entertainment possibilities. If you are interested in shows, art exhibitions buy the tickets before. Remember, everywhere are always lots of people and queues.

New York is definitely an expensive but charming city.

Manhattan is divided into 3 major areas: Uptown (or Upper Manhattan, Downtown (or Lower Manattan) and Midtown.

Erich and I decided to take our hotel in Midtown in the city center and exploring from there the City by using the hop-on / hop-off buses, the boat (included in the bus ticket) and a lot by walking, our daily fitness program. The city is cosmopolitan, multicultural and you see a variety of many different nationalities in the streets.

New York is a flat city and has an orthogonal urban design where the large boulevards and streets are numbered like for example the famous Fifth Avenue, where all the great brands and famous shops such as Apple, Louis Vuitton, etc. are located. The orientation in the city is therefore very easy.

The green lung of the city is the Central Park surrounded by buildings with exorbitantly high square meter prices.

There are the classic programs for those who visit the city for the first time: Broadway, Times Square,

Statue of Liberty,

the Empire State Building or one of the other famous skyscrapers, Ground Zero and the Brooklyn Bridge

and then a magnificent view of Manhattan.

Very much touching to me was the Ground Zero, the memorial for the victims of the assassinations of September 11.

In this area is also located the new subway station “World Trade Center” (PATH) with an oval hall called Oculus.

The project of the station was done by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. The place is simply spectacular, the building is white and when you enter it it offers an exhibition called “UP CLOSE Michelangelo Sistine Chapel” in the center. A visit to this subway station is absolutely recommendable.

Another very interesting tour is to stroll along the High Line, a suggestion for all those who like to walk and even enjoy a “bit of nature”.

Another ‘cool’ program in New York is to enjoy one of the many bars on one of the many high buildings like for example the bar Le Bain where you can watch the sunset and the lights of the city. (Attention: some of these cafes and bars might be open for private events only during the weekend)

Tip: Stay at dusk and darkness on and around the Times Square, it is always busy, just dive into this atmosphere.

New York is definitely a city that can easily be visited several times and every time new things can be discovered.

I certainly have already made my list for the next trip to NEW YORK.
