Brasilien ist ein Land mit kontinentalen Dimensionen und verfügt über sehr viele natürliche Schönheiten. Die brasilianische Küste dehnt sich über mehr als 7.000 Kilometer mit paradiesischen Stränden aus. Wir haben den größten Teil der Küste Brasiliens besucht als wir die Fotos für unser 66 x Brasilien Buch machten. Auf unsere Reisen waren wir immer auf der Suche nach unglaublichen Orten auf der ganzen Welt.

Brazil is a country of continental dimensions and has many natural beauties. The Brazilian coast extends over more than 7,000 kilometers of paradisiacal beaches. We visited most of the coast of Brazil when we took the pictures for our 66 x Brazil book. On our travels we have always been in search for incredible places all around the world.

COLÔNIA DE SACRAMENTO/COLONIA DEL SACRAMENTO

Colônia de Sacramento é uma agradável cidade uruguaia, capital do departamento de Colônia, localizada nas margens do Rio da Prata, no sudoeste do país, que atrai muitos turistas. Ela está distante aproximadamente 185 km de Montevidéu.

O lugar é pequeno, tem aproximadamente 130 mil habitantes, além de muitos restaurantes charmosos.

Colonia del Sacramento, agora escrevendo seu nome em espanhol, foi fundada pelas tropas portuguesas em 1680 e era considerada local estratégico para as lutas entre os espanhóis e portugueses. Isso aconteceu em uma época em que Portugal e Espanha estavam em conflito. A localização de Colônia de Sacramento era considerada como uma chave dos rios, pois de Colônia podia-se controlar o acesso ao Uruguai, ao Paraguai, ao Paraná.

Além dos portugueses e espanhóis, ingleses e holandeses também visitaram o local com seus galeões e fragatas. Houve muitas disputas pela posse dessa terra, que finalmente, em 1825, Uruguai se separou da Província Cisplatina e Colônia do Sacramento tornou-se posse definitiva do país, sendo a cidade mais antiga do Uruguai. O seu centro histórico integra a lista dos bens culturais tombados pela UNESCO, sendo assim, “Patrimônio da Humanidade” desde 1995.

Colônia de Sacramento recebe muitos visitantes oriundos de Buenos Aires que atravessam o Rio da Prata apenas para passar algumas horas passeando neste charmoso destino. Esse foi o nosso caso, chegamos às 13:45 e partimos às 20:01.Do terminal marítimo

caminhamos para o centro histórico, bem devagarinho, margeando o rio. Acho que foi uns 20 minutos de caminhada.

Nesse tempo foi possível apreciar no centro histórico as construções,

o traçado urbano oriundo da época colonial.

Parte do calçamento dessa área é do tipo “pé de moleque”,

comum nas antigas cidades portuguesas e espanholas coloniais.

A rua mais famosa de lá é a Calle De Los Suspiros,

onde é possível observar construções típicas da época colonial. Achei bonita a entrada para o centro histórico,

que lá é chamado bairro histórico onde existe um imponente portão. Durante a visita, é possível visitar o farol, com 26,92 metros e alcance geográfico de 16,5 milhas náuticas,

e subir seus degraus, do alto, se descortina uma bela vista do lugar.

A Praça das Armas Manuel Lobo e a Basílica do Santíssimo Sacramento integra o roteiro para se fazer caminhando, sem pressa.

Também passeamos pelo centro comercial moderno de Colônia do Sacramento, com ruas tranquilas, hotéis charmosos.

Foi um dia muito agradável e no final ainda fomos presenteados com um belíssimo por do sol.

Passeio recomendado para quem visita Montevideo ou Buenos Aires.

p.s.: se você tem problema de enjoo no mar ou no rio, leve um remédio, senti o balanço do ferry boat nas águas do Rio da Prata.

COLONIA DEL SACRAMENTO

Colonia del Sacramento ist eine angenehme uruguayische Stadt, Hauptstadt des Departements Colonia, am Ufer des Flusses Rio de la Plata im Südwesten des Landes gelegen, der viele Touristen anzieht. Es ist ungefähr 185 km von Montevideo entfernt.

Der Ort ist klein mit etwa 130 Tausend Einwohnern und offeriert viele charmante Restaurants.

Colonia del Sacramento, das seinen Namen in Spanisch trägt, wurde 1680 von portugiesischen Truppen gegründet und galt als strategischer Ort für die Kämpfe zwischen den Spaniern und den Portugiesen.

Dies geschah zu einer Zeit als Portugal und Spanien in einem Konflikt miteinander standen. Der Standort von Colonia de Sacramento galt als Schlüsselposition zu den Flüssen, da man von Colonia aus den Zugang nach Uruguay, Paraguay und Paraná kontrollieren konnte.

Neben den Portugiesen und Spaniern besuchten auch die Engländer und Holländer den Ort mit ihren Galeonen und Fregatten.

Es gab viele Streitigkeiten über den Besitz dieses Landes, das schließlich im Jahr 1825 Uruguay von der Provinz Cisplatina trennte und so Colonia del Sacramento endgültig in den Besitz des Landes gelangte, wobei es sich um die älteste Stadt Uruguays handelte.

Sein historisches Zentrum befindet sich in der Liste der von der UNESCO registrierten Kulturgüter und ist seit 1995 “Erbe der Menschheit”.

Colonia de Sacramento empfängt viele Besucher aus Buenos Aires, die den Rio de la Plata überqueren, um ein paar Stunden in diesem charmanten Ort zu verbringen. Das war auch unser Fall, wir kamen um 13:45 Uhr per Schiff an und fuhren um 20: 01 Uhr wieder ab.

Vom Seeterminal aus marschierten wir gemütlich in etwa 20 Minuten zum historischen Zentrum, das an den Fluss angrenzt.

Wir konnten im historischen Zentrum die Bauwerke,

also die städtebaulichen Spuren aus der Kolonialzeit bewundern.

Teile des historischen Zentrums weisen die für die alten portugiesischen Städte und die im spanischen Kolonialstil übliche Kopfstein-Pflasterung auf.

Die berühmteste Straße ist die Calle De Los Suspiros,

woSiedieganztypischenkolonialenGebäudesehenkönnen. AmEingangzumhistorischenZentrum,

das auch als historisches Viertel bezeichnet wird, befindet sich ein imposantes Tor.

Während des Besuchs ist es zudem möglich, den Leuchtturm mit etwa 27 Metern und einer geografischen Reichweite von 16,5 Seemeilen zu besteigen,

von oben hat man einen schönen Blick auf den Ort.

Der Platz Praça das Armas Manuel Lobo und die Basilika Basílica do Santíssimo Sacramento sind Teil ihres Rundweges, der ohne Eile gegangen werden kann.

Wir spazierten auch durch das moderne Zentrum von Colonia del Sacramento mit ruhigen Straßen, charmanten Hotels.

Es war ein sehr angenehmer Tag hier in Uruguay und am Ende kamen wir auch noch in den Genuss eines wunderschönen Sonnenunterganges.

Wir empfehlen diesen Ausflug jedem, der Montevideo oder Buenos Aires besucht.

COLONIA DEL SACRAMENTO

Colonia del Sacramento is a pleasant Uruguayan city, capital of the department of Colonia, located on the banks of the Rio de la Plata River in the southwest of the country, which attracts many tourists. It is about 185 km from Montevideo.

The place is small with about 130 thousand inhabitants and offers many charming restaurants.

Colonia del Sacramento, that bears his name in Spanish, was founded in 1680 by Portuguese troops and was considered a strategic location for fighting between the Spaniards and the Portuguese.

This happened at a time when Portugal and Spain were in conflict. The location of Colonia del Sacramento was considered a key position to the rivers, as you could control from Colonia access to Uruguay, Paraguay and Paraná.

In addition to the Portuguese and Spaniards the English and Dutch visited the place with its galleons and frigates.

The most famous street is Calle De Los Suspiros

whereyoucanseethetypical colonial buildings. Atthe entrance to thehistoriccenter,

also known as the Historic Quarter, there is an imposing gate.

During the visit it is also possible to climb the lighthouse with about 27 meters and a geographical range of 16.5 nautical miles,

from the top there you have a beautiful view of the place.

The square Praça das Armas Manuel Lobo and the Basílica do Santíssimo Sacramento Basilica are part of the circular walk that can be done without hurry.

We also walked through the modern center of Colonia del Sacramento with quiet streets, charming hotels.

It was a very pleasant day here in Uruguay and in the end we also enjoyed a beautiful sunset.

We recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Montevideo or Buenos Aires.

O PARQUE NACIONAL DE BERCHTESGADEN NO KÖNIGSESEE/DER KÖNIGSSEE IM NATIONALPARK BERCHTESGADEN/THE KÖNIGSESEE IN THE NATIONAL PARK BERCHTESGADEN

Numa das muitas viagens a Europa, Marcia e eu tivemos a oportunidade de visitar o Königsee perto de Berchtesgaden no caminho entre Munique e Salzburgo.

A paisagem é de sonho com o lago emoldurado pelas montanhas, é um cenário real (Königsee significa lago do rei em alemão) no verão.

Não há trilha ao redor do lago, então usamos como todos os turistas, e não foram poucos, a frota de barcos elétricos silenciosos,

e apesar da grande quantidade de turistas naquele dia, tudo era organizado de forma eficiente.

Do barco, pudemos admirar as rochas verticais que parecia que escorregavam daquela paisagem alpina e o maciço Watzmann, cachoeiras,

Que tornavam a coisa toda muito especial e charmosa, o lago me fez lembrar as paisagens de fjord da Noruega e do Alaska, sendo que o ponto mais profundo do lago mede 192 metros.

O percurso no barco até a península de São Bartolomeu durou aproximadamente meia hora quando nos deliciamos com uma experiência muito especial proporcionada pelo capitão do barco: ele toca um trompete e o som é repetido por um eco, acho que uma ou duas vezes, impressionante.

E então surge a igreja barroca, de peregrinação, dedicada a São Bartolomeu com suas cúpulas em forma de cebolas roxas tendo como pano de fundo o imponente paredão formado pela montanha Watzmann.

O local típico bávaro e a cervejaria lhe convidam para um drink e uma comidinha especial.

O passeio de outros 20 minutos nos leva para o desembarque Salet. Uma pequena caminhada depois nos conduz ao lago Obersee e também oferece excelentes vistas.

Nesse ponto, no final do Königsee com seus 8 quilômetros de comprimento, há um bistrô, que nos convida para relaxar, tomar um drink.

Para visita ao Königssee, recomendo que você planeja um dia de sua viagem, para que seja possível ver tudo com tranquilidade e desfrutar da paisagem.

E também para poder incluir tempos de espera nas filas para não ficar estressado(a).

Esse dia no Königsee foi uma experiência inesquecível para nós, o clima, as cores, a luz, a água, a arquitetura,

a oportunidade de fazer fotos de uma paisagem famosa mundialmente,

a complete atmosfera, o lago

e as montanhas – ÚNICAS…!!

Não deixe de se encantar com o charme de Berchtesgaden e a proximidade de Salzburgo.

DER KÖNIGSSEE IM NATIONALPARK BERCHTESGADEN

Auf einer unserer vielen Reisen in Europa nutzten Marcia und ich die Gelegenheit auf dem Weg von München nach Salzburg auch den Königsee bei Berchtesgaden zu besuchen.

Und der See und die ihn umgebende Gebirgslandschaft hält vollends, was der Name verspricht, eine königlich majestätische Natur und das bei kaiserlichem Sommerwetter – ein Traum.

Es führt kein Wanderweg um den See herum, also nutzten wir wie all die Touristen, und das waren nicht wenige, die Flotte der leisen Elektroboote,

und trotz des Massenandrangs an jenem Morgen war alles jedoch sehr effizient organisiert.

Vom Boot aus dann konnten wir die senkrecht abfallenden Felsen dieser Alpenlandschaft und des Watzmannmassives bewundern, Wasserfälle

verleihen dem Ganzen einen besonderen Reiz, der See erinnerte mich an Fjordlandschaften in Norwegen und Alaska und seine tiefste Stelle misst übrigens192 Meter.

Auf der etwa halbstündigen Fahrt zur Halbinsel St. Bartholomä kommen wir in den Genuss eines fantastischen Echoerlebnisses durch den jeweiligen Bootskapitän. Er spielt auf Trompete oder Horn und das Echo kommt ein- bis zweimal zurück, wahrlich beeindruckend.

Und dann erscheint sie, die dem heiligen Bartholomäus gewidmete Wallfahrtskirche barocker Stilart mit ihren so berühmten roten Zwiebeltürmen und das Ganze vor der imposanten, fast schon bedrohlich wirkenden Ostwand des Watzmann-Gebirgskolosses.

Die dortige typisch bayrische Gastwirtschaft und der dazugehörige Biergarten laden ein mit Getränken und deftigen Speisen.

Die Fahrt von weiteren 20 Minuten bringt uns zur Anlegestelle Salet, ein kleiner Spaziergang bringt uns dann zum kleinen Obersee auch wieder tolle Ausblicke offerierend.

Auch hier am Ende des Königsees mit seinen 8 Kilometern Länge laden eine Gastätte zum Pausieren ein.

Für den Besuch des Königssees sollte man einen ganzen Tag einplanen, um alles in Ruhe sehen und geniessen zu können

und um auch Wartezeiten miteinbeziehen zu können, ohne sogleich in Stress verfallen zu müssen.

Dieser Tag am und auf dem Königsee war für uns ein unvergessliches Erlebnis, das Wetter, die Farben, das Licht, das Wasser, die Architektur,

die weltberühmten Fotomotive,

die gesamte Atmosphäre, der See

und die Berge – EINZIGARTIG…!!

Verpassen Sie es auch nicht, sich vom Charme der Ortschaft Berchtesgaden verzaubern zu lassen und auch die Nähe zu Salzburg ist selbstweisend.

THE KÖNIGSESEE IN THE NATIONAL PARK BERCHTESGADEN

On one of our many trips in Europe, Marcia and I took the opportunity to visit the Königsee near Berchtesgaden on the way from Munich to Salzburg.

And the lake and the mountainous landscape that surrounds it, as the name suggests, is a royal and majestic nature and this in an imperial summer weather – a dream.

There is no trail around the lake, so we used like all the tourists, and that was not a few, the fleet of silent electric boats,

and despite the mass rush that morning everything was organized very efficiently.

From the boat we could admire the vertical falling rocks of this alpine landscape and the Watzmann massif, waterfalls

give the whole thing a special charm, the lake reminded me of fjord landscapes in Norway and Alaska and its deepest point measures by the way 192 meters.

On the approximately half-hour drive to the peninsula of St. Bartholomew we enjoy a fantastic echo experience by the respective boat captain. He plays trumpet or horn and the echo comes back once or twice, truly impressive.

And then it appears, the pilgrimage church of Baroque style dedicated to St. Bartholomew with its so-called red onion domes and the whole in front of the imposing, almost threatening eastern wall of the Watzmann mountain colossus.

The local typical Bavarian inn and the associated beer garden invite you with drinks and hearty meals.

The ride of another 20 minutes brings us to the landing stage Salet, a small walk brings us then to the small Obersee also offers great views.

Here, too, at the end of the Königsee with its 8 kilometers of length invite a guest house to pause.

For the visit of the Königssee you should plan a whole day to see everything in peace and to be able to enjoy

and to be able to include waiting times without having to go into stress immediately.

This day at and on the Königsee was an unforgettable experience for us, the weather, the colors, the light, the water, the architecture,

A tradição dos Mercados de Natal é antiga na Europa. Erich, alemão, desde sua infância teve oportunidade de visitar muitos. Eu conheci essa tradição através de Erich há muitos anos atrás e me apaixonei, adoro visitar Mercados de Natal. Nessa época do ano, gosto muito escrever sobre eles, na semana passada foi sobre o de Viena e essa semana, apresento um pouco do grande e famoso mercado de Dresden*, que completa 584 anos em 2018: Dresdener Striezelmarkt, que funciona na praça do antigo mercado (Altmarkt) na Wilsdruffer Strasse (Strasse é rua em alemão). A tradição desse mercado remonta ao ano de 1435.

Visitar Dresden no período natalino é uma festa para os olhos.

A cidade se veste de cores,

luzes e aromas com seus vários Mercados de Natal, distribuídos em diversos pontos da cidade. Alguns estão próximos um dos outros e você pode visita-los a pé.

A cidade e seus arredores promovem muitos eventos natalinos (se quiser, baixe aqui o Guia de eventos natalinos na região do Elba).

O maior Mercado de Natal de Dresden é o Dresdener Striezelmarkt.

O que mais chamou minha atenção é que as barraquinhas do mercado não são padronizadas, acho que somente no tamanho.

Cada uma delas é decorada de forma criativa e bem atraente, o que faz as crianças e adultos se encantarem com sua beleza, formas, cores e principalmente criatividade dos idealizadores.

Há quiosques que vendem produtos natalinos decorativos, brinquedos, diversos tipos de comida e bebidas, artesanato, dentre outros. É possível também participar de oficinas culinárias, quando visitei o mercado em 2017, havia uma onde você aprendia a preparar o famoso pão doce com frutas, marzipã e outros ingredientes chamado de Striezel também chamado de Stollen, típico da região.

O Dresdner Striezelmarkte de 2018 foi aberto em 28 de novembro e vai funcionar até 26 de dezembro no horário das 10 às 21 horas e na véspera de Natal, das 10 às 14 horas.

*Dresden é a capital do estado da Saxônia, está localizada nas margens do Rio Elba e situa-se no leste da Alemanha e faz fronteira com a República Tcheca e Polônia.

Die Tradition der Weihnachtsmärkte ist in Europa uralt. Erich, Deutscher, hatte von Kindheit an die Möglichkeit, viele davon zu besuchen. Ich habe diese Tradition vor vielen Jahren durch Erich kennengelernt und ich habe mich darin verliebt, ich liebe es, Weihnachtsmärkte zu besuchen.

Zu dieser Jahreszeit schreibe ich sehr gerne über sie, letzte Woche ging es um Wien, und diese Woche stelle ich Ihnen nun den großen und berühmten Dresdner Markt vor, der 2018 beachtliche 584 Jahre alt sein wird: Der Dresdner Striezelmarkt findet an dem ehemaligen Altmarkt an der Wilsdruffer Straße statt.

Die Tradition dieses Marktes reicht bis ins Jahr 1435 zurück.

Ein Besuch in Dresden während der Weihnachtszeit ist eine Augenweide.

Lichter und Düfte mit all seinen verschiedenen Weihnachtsmärkten in den verschiedenen Stadtteilen. Einige sind so nahe beieinander und Sie können sie zu Fuß besuchen.

Die Stadt und ihre Umgebung fördern viele Weihnachtsfestlichkeiten (auf Wunsch können Sie sich hier nun den Weihnachtsführer in dieser Elbregion herunterladen).

Dresdens größter Weihnachtsmarkt ist der Dresdener Striezelmarkt.

Was mich am meisten überrascht hat war die Tatsache, dass die Stände des Marktes nicht standardisiert waren, ich denke hierbei nicht nur an die Größe.

Jeder Stand war auf seine eigene Art und Weise kreativ und attraktiv dekoriert und erfreute somit sowohl Kinder und Erwachsene gleichsam durch seine Schönheit, Formen, Farben und vor allem durch seine Phantasieen.

Es gibt Stände, die dekorative Weihnachtsartikel, Spielzeug, verschiedene Arten von Speisen und Getränken, Kunsthandwerk und vieles mehr verkaufen.

Es ist auch möglich, an kulinarischen Workshops teilzunehmen, als ich den Markt im Jahr 2017 besuchte, war es möglich, dort die Zubereitung dieses typischen Stollens, also des Striezels, mit seinen Früchten, Marzipan und anderen typischen Zutaten, zu erlernen.

Der Dresdner Striezelmarkt 2018 wird am 28. November eröffnet und läuft dann bis zum 26. Dezember jeweils von 10:00 Uhr bis 21:00 Uhr und an Heiligabend von 10:00 Uhr bis 14:00 Uhr.

O GRANDE MERCADO DE NATAL DE VIENA/DER GROSSE WIENER WEIHNACHTSMARKT/THE BIG VIENNA CHRISTMAS MARKET

Viena durante o período natalino é uma festa de luz.Chegamos à Viena em uma noite fria de inverno e o nosso hotel estava localizado na iluminada Avenida Schubertring, tive a impressão que estava chegando em um paraíso cheio de luz. Sim, vale muito a pena visitar Viena nessa época do ano.

O que mais me impressionou foi o Mercado de Natal localizado na praça, em frente à Prefeitura.

Trata-se de um conjunto de quiosques que vendem diversos produtos natalinos e não natalinos, emoldurados com um show de luzes e cores.

Há parque de diversões, pista de patinação,

tem passeio de trenzinho

que percorre a área do evento além disso, o ar possui um cheiro de comida e bebida saboroso que fazem você ficar com água na boca.

Mas, o que mais chamou minha atenção são as belas árvores de natal, lindas, coloridas, iluminadas, inesquecíveis!

Esse mercado é constituído por 150 quiosques onde você pode encontrar uma grande variedade de produtos. Há brinquedos artesanais, roupas de frio, principalmente luvas, cachecóis, pulôveres, e gorros, artigos decorativos natalinos, presépios, arte, velas, dentre outros.

As cores e cheiros me encantaram! Erich e eu gostamos muito de beber o vinho quente (Glühwein), que é basicamente o vinho tinto aquecido misturado com canela em pau, alguma fruta cítrica e cravo. Há uma grande variedade dessa bebida. Como nessa época do ano é inverno e a temperatura é baixa, essa bebida ajuda aquecer.

Apesar desse mercado funcionar a partir das 10 horas da manhã, o melhor é visita-lo a partir do anoitecer, quando as luzes se acendem. Aliás, começa a escurecer nessa época a partir das 16 horas.

Além desse mercado, o mais grandioso e espetacular de Viena, há outros distribuídos em diversas partes da cidade, cada um com suas delícias e cheiros.

DER GROSSE WIENER WEIHNACHTSMARKT

Wien während der Weihnachtszeit ist ein Fest des Lichtes. Wir kamen in einer kalten Winternacht in Wien an und unser Hotel lag am beleuchteten Schubertring, ich hatte den Eindruck, dass ich in einem lichtdurchfluteten Paradies ankam. Ja, zu dieser Jahreszeit lohnt es sich auch, Wien zu besuchen.

Am meisten hat mich der Weihnachtsmarkt auf dem Platz vor dem Rathaus beeindruckt.

Es ist eine Aneinanderreihung von Kiosken, welche die verschiedensten Weihnachts- und Nicht-Weihnachts-Produkte verkaufen, das Ganze umrahmt von einer Lichtershow und Farbenmeer.

Es gibt auch einen kleinen Vergnügungspark, eine Schlittschuhbahn,

eineZugfahrt,

unddieLuftduftetüberallnachleckeremEssen und Getränken, waseinemunvermeidlich das WasserimMundezusammenlaufenlässt.

Aber was jedoch meine Aufmerksamkeit am meisten erregte waren die schönen Weihnachtsbäume, zauberhaft, bunt, beleuchtet, einfach unvergesslich!

Dieser Markt besteht aus 150 Kiosken mit einer groβen Vielfalt unterschiedlichster Produkte: es gibt handgemachtes Spielzeug, Winterbekleidung wie Handschuhe, Schals, Pullover und Mützen, dekorative Weihnachtsartikel, Krippen, Kunst, Kerzen und vieles mehr.

All die Farben und Gerüche verzauberten mich! Erich und ich genossen es wirklich, Glühwein zu trinken, davon gibt es eine groβe Vielfalt im Angebot und in dieser Jahreszeit mit seinen kalten Temperaturen hilft dieses Getränk zum Aufwärmen.

Obwohl dieser Markt ab 10 Uhr morgens funktioniert, ist es am besten, ihn vor der Abenddämmerung zu besuchen, wenn dann die Lichter angehen. Übrigens wird es schon um 16 Uhr dunkel.

Zusätzlich zu diesem Markt, dem großartigsten und spektakulärsten von Wien, gibt es viele andere in den verschiedenen Stadtteilen, jeder mit seinem eigenen Flair, Farben und Gerüchen.

THE BIG VIENNA CHRISTMAS MARKET

Vienna during the Christmas season is a festival of lights. We arrived in Vienna on a cold winter night and our hotel was located on the illuminated Schubertring. I had the impression that I arrived in a paradise flooded with light. Yes, at this time of year it is also worthwhile to visit Vienna.

NATAL VISTA DO CÉU/NATAL VON OBEN/NATAL FROM ABOVE

O título desse post foi inspirado no programa do canal Globosat chamado “Brasil Visto de Cima”. De vez em quando assisto e acho que a ideia desse projeto é muito boa. Eles apresentam também o “Mundo Visto de Cima” com a mesma proposta. Da última vez que vi o programa fiquei refletindo de como as cidades tornam-se mais interessantes quando vistas de cima, do alto. Aliás, como arquiteta e urbanista, o estudo das cidades sempre me encantou.

Sendo assim, me inspirei em escrever e compartilhar com vocês algumas das belas imagens que Erich fotografou para o nosso livro “Guia das Belezas do Rio Grande do Norte”, neste mês quando Natal completa 419 anos no dia 25 de dezembro, parabéns antecipado Natal!

Eu também fui com ele nesse voo panorâmico e confesso que fiquei com medo quando o piloto se ofereceu para deixar as portas abertas para facilitar a captação de imagens.

A cidade do Natal, no estado do Rio Grande do Norte, localizada na Região Nordeste do Brasil, exatamente onde o mapa do país faz a curva, tem uma situação especial: é banhada pelo Oceano Atlântico e pelo Rio Potengi, rio que já inspirou tantas poesias e romances.

Além deles, Natal possui o Parque das Dunas, Unidade de Conservação, que surge de cima, como uma extensa mancha verde que está separada do mar apenas pela Via Costeira. O mar, o rio, o verde da vegetação, tornam a morfologia urbana muito especial.

Durante esse voo, pude apreciar a beleza do Morro do Careca, na Praia de Ponta Negra

e a praia localizada depois de Ponta Negra, área militar.

Vi também o Farol de Mãe Luíza, cartão postal da cidade.

Além disso, vi a Fortaleza dos Reis Magos localizada próximo ao encontro do rio com o mar e construída pelos portugueses em forma de estrela.

Por falar nesse monumento importante do Rio Grande do Norte, li no jornal que as obras de restauração do prédio ainda começam nesse ano de 2018 e que a previsão de término é para o mês de novembro de 2019 (ela estará fechada para visitação). Uma notícia importante para os que sabem a importância dessa fortaleza para a história do Brasil. Aliás, ela integra a lista das 7 Maravilhas do Brasil escolhidas através de um concurso do Banco HSBC e Revista Caras no ano de 2008.

A vista da Ponta de Todos Newton Navarro, da Fortaleza dos Reis Magos e o Rio Potengi parece uma bela pintura!

Se você não conhece Natal e pretende conhecer a cidade, você vai atravessar essa ponte quando for conhecer as dunas de Jenipabu.

Mas, continuando nosso voo panorâmico, pudemos observar como a cidade se verticalizou, mas, ainda bem, que continuamos com a orla marítima com proibição de construção de espigões!

Depois de ver a cidade do alto, confirmei que Natal, com sua localização privilegiada, tem realmente paisagens espetaculares! Se você ainda não visitou Natal, vale a pena conhecer esse lugar de muito sol e belas praias!

Der Titel dieses Beitrags wurde vom Programm des TV Globosat-Kanals “Brasil Visto de Cima” inspiriert. Von Zeit zu Zeit schaue ich es mir an und ich finde die Idee dieses Projekts sehr gut.

Sie präsentieren auch die Serie die “Welt von oben gesehen” mit derselben Grundidee.

Als ich das Programm das letzte Mal gesehen habe, habe ich darüber nachgedacht, wie Städte doch aus der Sicht von oben interessanter wirken. Als Architekt und Stadtplaner hat mich das Studium der Städte schon immer fasziniert.

Ich möchte nun einige der schönsten Bilder beschreiben und mit Ihnen teilen, die Erich für unser Buch “Reiseführer über die Schönheiten von Rio Grande do Norte” in dem Dezember fotografierte, als Natal am 25. Dezember 419 Jahre alt wurde! Ich war auch mit ihm auf diesem Helikopter-Panoramaflug und ich gestehe, dass ich Angst hatte, als der Pilot anbot, die Türen offen zu lassen, um das Fotografieren zu erleichtern.

Die Stadt Natal befindet sich im Nordosten Brasiliens und ist genau dort gelegen, wo die Landkarte Brasiliens eine starke Kurve macht; dies führt zu folgender Situation: sie, die Stadt Natal, ist vom Atlantischen Ozean und vom Fluss Potengi umgeben, einem Fluss, der zu vielen Gedichten und Romanen inspirierte.

Daneben verfügt Natal auch über den Parque das Dunas (Park der Dünen), Naturschutzgebiet, der sich von oben gesehen als weitläufiger grüner Fleck erhebt, der nur durch die Küstenstraβe vom Meer getrennt ist.

Das Meer, der Fluss und das Grün der Vegetation machen die urbane Morphologie zu etwas ganz Besonderem.

Während dieses Fluges konnte ich auch die Schönheit des Morro do Careca (Düne und Postkartenansicht der Stadt) am Strand von Ponta Negra

undeinenweiterenStrand, Militärgebiet, bewundern.

Ich sah auch den Leuchtturm von Mãe Luíza, eine weitere Postkartenansicht der Stadt.

Außerdem sah ich die Festung Fortaleza dos Reis Magos, die sich an der Mündung des Flusses in das Meer befindet und von den Portugiesen in Form eines Sternes errichtet wurde.

Bezüglich dieses für die Geschichte Brasiliens sehr bedeutsamen Monumentes in Rio Grande do Norte las ich in der Zeitung, daβ seine Restaurierungsarbeiten noch in diesem Jahr 2018 beginnen und dann bis November 2019 abgeschlossen sein werden sollen. Tatsächlich ist die Festung in der Liste der „7 Wunder Brasiliens“ enthalten, die im Jahr 2008 von der HSBC Bank und dem Caras Magazin ausgewählt wurden.

Der Blick von oben auf die Brücke Ponta de Todos Newton Navarro, die Festung Fortaleza dos Reis Magos und den Fluss Rio Potengi sieht aus wie ein wunderschönes Gemälde!

Falls Sie Natal nicht kennen und die Stadt einmal besuchen werden, dann überqueren Sie diese Brücke, wenn Sie die Dünen von Jenipabu besuchen.

Während unseres Panorama-Flugs konnten wir auch beobachten, wie die Stadt sich vertikal ausdehnte, trotzdem ist es gut zu wissen, daβ an der Strandpromenade immerhin mit dem Verbot der Konstruktion von Hochhäusern fortgefahren wird.

Nachdem ich die Stadt von oben gesehen hatte, kann ich nur bestätigen, daβ Natal mit seiner privilegierten Lage wirklich über spektakuläre Landschaften verfügt!

Falls Sie Natal bislang nicht besucht haben, nur das eine, es lohnt sich, diesen Ort mit viel Sonnenschein und wunderschönen Stränden kennenzulernen!

NATAL FROM ABOVE

The title of this article was inspired by the program of the TV Globosat channel “Brasil Visto de Cima”. From time to time I look at it and I think the idea of this project is very good.

They also present the series “The World Seen From Above” with the same basic idea.

When I last saw the program, I thought about how cities look more interesting from a view from above perspective. As an architect and city planner the study of cities has always fascinated me.

I would like to describe and share with you now some of the most beautiful pictures Erich took in December for our book “Guides on the beauties of Rio Grande do Norte” when Natal became 419 on December 25! I was also with him on this helicopter panorama flight and I confess that I was scared when the pilot offered to leave the doors open to facilitate taking pictures.

The city of Natal is located in northeastern Brazil and this is exactly there where the map of Brazil makes a sharp turn; this leads to the following situation: the city of Natal is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and the River Potengi, a river that inspired many poems and novels.

In addition Natal has also the Parque das Dunas (Park of the dunes), a nature reserve, which rises from above seen as a vast green spot, which is separated only by the coastal road from the sea.

BANGKOK – SEMPRE CALORENTA E FASCINANTE/BANGKOK – IMMER SCHWÜLHEISS UND FASZINIEREND/BANGKOK – ALWAYS SULTRY HOT AND FASCINATING

Eu estive em Bangkok cinco vezes,

a primeira vez foi em 1991,

e sempre senti o mesmo: a cidade é quente e úmida,

Eu suava o dia todo, afinal, Bangkok é considerada a cidade mais quente do mundo quando se considera a média anual.

Mas os seguintes aspectos foram diferentes em cada visita: mais tráfego, mais habitantes, mais problemas ambientais e mais turistas de todo o mundo. Bangkok tem 8 milhões de habitantes e é visitada anualmente por cerca de 20 milhões de turistas, o que a torna uma das cidades mais visitadas do mundo.

Recomendo uma visita em torno de três dias para ver os pontos turísticos da cidade, fazer excursões nessa metrópole vibrante com suas barracas de comidas,

praças de alimentação,

mercados de rua, como o de Kao San Road,

mercados noturnos

e os famosos Tuk Tuks que estão nas ruas em todos os lugares.

Com toda essa oferta de comida barata nas ruas, você deve sempre estar atento às condições de higiene nas quais elas foram preparadas.

com muitas vistas interessantes de atrações turísticas culturais, religiosas, modernas

e construções históricas como o Grande Palácio

ou o Templo Wat Anrun

A cidade tem mais de 400 wats (templos budistas). O mais significativo é o Wat Phra Kaeo, que abriga o chamado “Buda de Esmeralda” e um dos mais cultuados em todo o país. Reserve tempo suficiente para que essas visitas (Templo e Grande Palácio) sejam um mergulho neste mar de cores, ouro, arte, espiritualidade e religiosidade.

Há muitas ofertas para passear em Bangkok e excursões de 1 dia na área circundante.

Eu me lembro de tour que fiz para o lendário set de filmagem do filme “A Ponte sobre o Rio Kwai”

e também aos igualmente famosos e fascinantes “Mercados Flutuantes”, que existem atualmente apenas fora da metrópole.

Como uma visão do tipo bastante questionável ou mesmo horrível é “Bangkok Ghost Tower” considerado.

Apesar da mais estrita proibição, muitas pessoas tentam escalar o prédio, por causa da iminente deterioração, uma visita que chega a ser perigosa.

Este marco arrepiante de Bangkok é uma enorme concha com 49 andares planejada como um arranha-céu de luxo, mas falhou, hoje a Torre Fantasma é considerada o “Marco do Terror” em Bangkok. Hoje é um objeto popular para grafiteiros.

E tornou-se uma “aventura” para os turistas que tentam visitá-lo com o intuito de chegar até o topo para observar a cidade.

Há também rumores de que o prédio fica em um antigo cemitério e, portanto, as almas de seus antigos habitantes ainda “assombram” os visitantes.

Marcia e eu aproveitamos bastante nossa visita a Bangkok e certamente ainda voltaremos a Tailândia, como eu disse “calorenta e sempre fascinante”.

BANGKOK – IMMER SCHWÜLHEISS UND FASZINIEREND

Ich war ungefähr 5 Mal in Bangkok,

das erste Mal 1991,

und immer war es das gleiche: es war schwül, es war heiss,

ich war den ganzen Tag nur am Schwitzen, schließlich ist Bangkok ja auch im Jahresdurchschnitt die heißeste Stadt der Welt.

Ganz anders war jedoch bei jedem Besuch das Folgende: mehr Verkehr, mehr Einwohner, mehr Umweltprobleme und mehr Touristen aus aller Welt. Bangkok zählt 8 Millionen Einwohner und wird jährlich von etwa 20 Millionen Touristen besucht, das ist wieder Platz 1 der meistbesuchten Städte der Welt.

3 Tage sollte man sich zumindest Zeit nehmen für die Sehenswürdigkeiten dieser Stadt und Ausflügen im Umfeld dieser pulsierenden Metropole mit seinen Garküchen,

Foodcourts,

Streetmarkets, hier in der Kao San Road,

Nightmarkets

und den berühmten Tuk Tuks auf den Straßen überall.

Bei all den so sehr günstigen Essensangeboten auf der Straβe sollte man sich immer der unterschiedlichen Hygienestandards bewusst sein.

Nicht verpassen sollte man eine Schiffsfahrt auf dem Chao Praya Fluss

mit vielen lohnenswerten Ausblicken auf Sehenwürdigkeiten, Kulturelles, Religiöses, Modernes

und Historisches wie den Grand Palace

oder den Wat Anrun Tempel

In der Stadt gibt es über 400 Wats (buddhistische Tempelanlagen). Der bedeutendste ist der Wat Phra Kaeo, der den sogenannten „Smaragd-Buddha“ beherbergt und landesweit eine hohe Verehrung genießt. Planen Sie für diese Besuche (Tempel und Grosser Palast) genügend Zeit ein, um tief in dieses Meer von Farben, Gold, Kunst, Spiritualität und Religiosität eintauchen zu können.

Es existieren sehr viele Angebote für Sightseeing in Bangkok und 1 Tages-Ausflüge in die nähere Umgebung.

Ich erinnere mich an eine Tour zur legendären Filmkulisse „Die Brücke am Kwai“

und auch die ebenfalls berühmten und faszinierenden „Schwimmenden Märkte“ existieren heute allerdings nur noch außerhalb der Metropole.

Als eine Sehenswürdigkeit der eher fragwürdigen oder gar schrecklichen Art kann „Bangkoks Geister-Turm“ angesehen

werden. Trotz eines strengsten Verbotes versuchen viele Personen auf das Gebäude zu steigen, wegen der drohenden Baufälligkeit ein nicht ganz ungefährliches Unterfangen.

Dieses gruselige Wahrzeichen Bangkoks ist ein riesiger Rohbau mit 49 Stockwerken geplant als Luxus-Wolkenkratzer, jedoch gescheitert, heute gilt der Ghost-Tower als das „Wahrzeichen des Schreckens“ in Bangkok. Es ist heute ein beliebtes Graffiti-

Objekt und Abenteuerpiste/Aussichtsplattform für Backpacker.

Gerüchte besagen zudem auch noch, daβ das Gebäude auf einem ehemaligen Friedhof steht und somit die Seelen seiner Bewohner immer noch „umherspuken“.

Marcia und ich haben unseren Aufenthalt in Bangkok sehr genossen und werden mit Sicherheit wieder nach Thailand kommen, wie gesagt schwülheiss und immer faszinierend…!!!

BANGKOK – ALWAYS SULTRY HOT AND FASCINATING

I was in Bangkok about 5 times,

the first time in 1991,

and it was always the same: it was humid, it was hot,

I was sweating all day long, after all, Bangkok is considered as the hottest City in the world on an annual average.

But the following was very different with each visit: more traffic, more inhabitants, more environmental problems and more tourists from all over the world. Bangkok has 8 million inhabitants and is visited annually by about 20 million tourists, which is again one of the most visited cities in the world.

3 days you should at least take time for the sights of this city and excursions around this vibrant metropolis with its food stalls,

Food courts,

Streetmarkets, here in Kao San Road,

Night Markets

and the famous Tuk Tuks on the streets everywhere.

With all the very cheap food on the street, you should always be aware of the different standards of hygiene.

You should not miss to do a boat trip on the Chao Praya River

with many worthwhile views on sights, cultural, religious, modern

and historical things like the Grand Palace

or the Wat Anrun Temple

The city has over 400 wats (Buddhist temples). The most significant is the Wat Phra Kaeo, which houses the so-called “Emerald Buddha” and enjoys a high level of worship throughout the country. Allow sufficient time for these visits (Temple and Grand Palace) to immerse yourself in this sea of colors, gold, art, spirituality and religiosity.

There are many offers for sightseeing in Bangkok and 1 day excursions in the surrounding area.

I remember a tour to the legendary movie set of “The Bridge on the River Kwai”

and also to the equally famous and fascinating “Floating Markets” which however exist nowadays only outside of the metropolis.

As a sight of the rather questionable or even horrible kind is “Bangkok Ghost Tower” considered.

Despite a strictest ban many people try to climb the building, because of the imminent dilapidation a not entirely harmless venture.

This creepy landmark of Bangkok is a huge shell with 49 floors planned as a luxury skyscraper, but failed, today the Ghost Tower is considered the “Landmark of Terror” in Bangkok. It is today a popular graffiti object

And an adventure piste / observation deck for backpackers.

There are also rumors that the building stands on a former cemetery and thus still “haunts” the souls of its inhabitants.

Marcia and I enjoyed our stay in Bangkok very much and will certainly come back to Thailand, as I said sultry and always fascinating … !!!

CIDADE DO PANAMÁ, COSMOPOLITA E VIBRANTE/PANAMA CITY, KOSMOPOLITAN UND VIBRANT/PANAMA CITY, COSMOPOLITAN AND VIBRANT

O Panamá está localizado na parte mais estreita do América Central, no istmo que se estende até a América do Sul.

Visitar o Panamá nunca integrou a lista dos meus destinos para ser visitados até que Erich e eu resolvemos conhecer Cartagena, na Colômbia. Em muitas de nossas viagens, usamos milhas de programa de fidelidade. Dessa forma, achamos uma promoção ótima para visitarmos Cartagena. O voo seria Recife-Cidade do Panamá-Cartagena. Sendo assim, já que iríamos passar por lá, então resolvemos dar uma paradinha e visitar a cidade do Panamá. Tivemos uma surpresa com a cidade cosmopolita,

com um centro histórico interessante

e além disso, tomamos conhecimento que o Aeroporto Internacional de Tocumen é um hub da empresa aérea panamenha Copa Airlines. De lá, muitos voos seguem com destino as paradisíacas ilhas do Caribe. Além disso, o Panamá está no meio do caminho entre a América do Sul e do Norte.

Escolhemos nos hospedar em um hotel novo localizado na área de Punta Pacífica, moderna, com muitas construções novas. A cidade oferece uma boa rede hoteleira e um centro histórico atraente.

Além disso, para quem quer fazer umas comprinhas vale a pena visitar os shopping centers da cidade, o Albrook Mall, Multiplaza Pacific, Multicentro (um dos mais antigos), o Metromall (próximo do aeroporto, no caso de você ter uma conexão que precise esperar muito no aeroporto).

Mas, na realidade, quando decidimos que iríamos dar uma parada na Cidade do Panamá, eu só pensava em visitar o Canal do Panamá, afinal, uma obra de engenharia importante para a América, que começou a operar em 1914, apesar da ideia de construção do mesmo já existisse desde o século XIX, quando o Panamá ainda integrava uma unidade administrativa com a Colômbia.

Antes da construção do canal, um navio que saísse da costa dos Estados Unidos e se destinasse à Europa, tinha que contornar a América do Sul para chegar lá, já pensou o tempo gasto na viagem?

Optamos por visitar a cidade no ônibus turístico Hop-on Hop- off Panama City, no passeio de um dia, tem 14 paradas, sendo que dentre essas paradas a número 5 é a do shopping center Albrook Mall, a 6 é a do Canal do Panamá (Centro de Visitantes de Miraflores) e a de número 13 é a do centro histórico. O centro histórico da Cidade do Panamá integra a lista do Patrimônio Cultural da UNESCO desde 1997, quando o mesmo encontrava-se em condições precárias. De lá para cá, muito se tem feito no sentido de restaurar as edificações da área.

Um passeio agradável para se fazer na Cidade do Panamá é caminhar na Calçada de Amador, na realidade Avenida Amador que liga a cidade às ilhas Flamenco, Naos e Perico. É uma área muito usada pelos habitantes locais para correrem, caminharem.

PANAMA CITY, KOSMOPOLITAN UND VIBRANT

Panama befindet sich am engsten Teil Mittelamerikas auf der Landenge, die sich bis nach Südamerika erstreckt.

Es war nie in der Liste meiner Reiseziele bis Erich und ich uns entschlossen, Cartagena in Kolumbien zu besuchen.

Auf vielen unserer Reisen verwenden wir Loyalty-Programmmeilen. So führte unser Flug uns also von Recife via Stop-Over in Panama City nach Cartagena in Kolumbien. Wir waren überrascht von dieser kosmopolitischen Stadt

mit einem interessanten historischen Zentrum

und wir erkannten auch, dass der Tocumen International Airport ein Knotenpunkt der panamaischen Fluggesellschaft Copa Airlines ist. Von dort aus führen viele Flüge zu den paradiesischen Inseln der Karibik. Darüber hinaus liegt Panama auf halbem Weg zwischen Süd- und Nordamerika.

Wir entschieden uns für ein neues Hotel in der Gegend von Punta Pacifica, modern, mit vielen neuen Konstruktionen. Die Stadt bietet ein gutes Hotelnetzwerk und eben eine attraktive historisches Altstadt.

Für diejenigen, die Einkaufen möchten, lohnt es sich, die Einkaufszentren der Stadt zu besuchen, Albrook Mall, Multiplaza Pacific, Multicentro (eines der ältesten), und Metromall in der Nähe des Flughafens.

Aber in Wirklichkeit, als wir beschlossen, daβ wir in Panama City anhalten würden, dachte ich v.a. daran, den Panamakanal zu besuchen, immerhin eine extrem wichtige Ingenieursarbeit für Amerika, die 1914 in Betrieb genommen wurde.

Die Idee existierte seit dem neunzehnten Jahrhundert als Panama noch eine Verwaltungseinheit mit Kolumbien formierte.

Vor dem Bau des Kanals musste ein Schiff der Westküste der USA mit dem Ziel Europa um ganz Südamerika herumschiffen, um dorthin zu gelangen, stellen Sie sich einmal diesen Zeitaufwand vor!

Wir entschieden uns, die Stadt mit dem Hop-on-Hop-off-Bus von Panama City zu besuchen. Auf der Route gibt es 14 Haltestellen, von denen die Nummer 5 die Albrook Mall ist, 6 der Canal do Panama (Besucherzentrum von Miraflores) und die Nummer 13 ist das historische Zentrum. Das historische Zentrum von Panama City wurde seit 1997 unter prekären Bedingungen in die Liste des Weltkulturerbes der UNESCO aufgenommen. Seitdem wurde viel getan, um die Gebäude der Gegend wieder zu restaurieren.

PANAMA CITY, COSMOPOLITAN AND VIBRANT

Panama is located on the narrowest part of Central America on the isthmus, which extends to South America.

It was never in the list of my destinations until Erich and I decided to visit Cartagena in Colombia.

We use miles loyalty program on many of our trips. So our flight took us from Recife via stop-over in Panama City to Cartagena in Columbia. We were surprised by this cosmopolitan city

with an interesting historical center

and we also realized that Tocumen International Airport is a hub of the Panamanian airline Copa Airlines. From there, many flights lead to the paradisiacal islands of the Caribbean. In addition, Panama is halfway between South and North America.

We chose a new hotel in the area of Punta Pacifica, modern, with many new constructions. The city offers a good hotel network and the attractive old town.

For those who want to shop it’s worth visiting the city’s shopping malls, Albrook Mall, Multiplaza Pacific, Multicentro (one of the oldest), and Metromall near the airport.

But in reality, when we decided we would stop in Panama City, I thought particulary in visiting the Panama Canal, after all, an extremely important engineering work for America, which was put into operation in 1914.

The idea existed since the nineteenth century when Panama formed yet an administrative unit with Colombia.

Before the canal was built a ship from the west coast of the US to Europe had to sail around the whole of South America to get there, so imagine that time overhead!

We decided to visit the city on the hop-on hop-off bus from Panama City. There are 14 stops on the route, number 5 is Albrook Mall, 6 is the Canal do Panama (Visitor Center of Miraflores) and number 13 is the historic center. Details about this route can be found here.

The historic center of Panama City has been included under precarious conditions since 1997 in the list of World Heritage by UNESCO. Since then much had been done to restore the area’s buildings.

A pleasant walk in Panama City is a walk on the Calçada de Amador, in fact the Avenida Amador that connects the city with the islands of Flamenco, Naos and Perico. It is a city area that is much used by locals for running and walking.

If you still have some time and interest you should plan in your program a visit to the Biomuseu with interesting exhibits.

Another suggestion for a trip is to visit the Coiba National Park, which have been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO,

and the Metropolitan Panama in Ancon, for those who enjoy nature, it is full and they are not far from the city center.

For those who enjoy bird watching, it is worth visiting the Darien National Park, which is 320 km from the capital and also a UNESCO natural heritage site.

If you are interested in innovations, you will get to know a city that combines modernity and history, it is worthwhile adding Panama City to your travel agenda.

Do it the way we did, enjoy a stopover where you would otherwise have to change planes … or, if you have more time, enjoy the beautiful beaches of the archipelagos of San Blas

and Bocas del Toro.
